These are the winning horse racing systems and tipsters that we have tested over an extended period and found to consistently generate a profit.

We use all these services ourselves and we will regularly update results to ensure a continued place on our approved list is merited

BP Racing – Final Update

This is just a quick update to say we are wrapping up this review as BP Racing has been discontinued.

The service had struggled throughout our review, going around 100 points down at one stage so it’s no surprise really to see this one has given up the ghost. We had been planning to wrap up the review soon in any event given how things had gone.

It did have very promising results coming into our trial and it would have been great to have a service that was profitable at Betfair SP, but sadly it wasn’t to be.

Just to note that Punt Hub who ran the service posted a message saying:

“Those that are still paying members here or have subscription left will be moved over to the bet Professor today.

If you have already paid and do not wish to move over please let me know asap so I can arrange a refund for you.”

Anyway, not much more for us to add other than to say it’s another one for the defunct/failed pile unfortunately and it’s on we go with the next review…

BP Racing – Results Update

22nd January 2022

Not much change for BP Racing over the last month, with a loss of 1 point made since our last update.

That means they are now 78 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder this is a service that bets at Betfair SP only, so there are only BSP results to record for this review.

BP Racing – Results Update

23rd December 2021

Unfortunately things have turned in the wrong direction for BP Racing after some recent progress, with a loss of 24 points made since our last update.

That puts them back to 77 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that the recommended betting bank is 200 points, so we are still well inside that at the moment.

After five months of our trial though it’s been a tough run for them though and is going to take something special to get back in the green for them.

BP Racing – Results Update

22nd November 2021

We said last time that things needed to turn around for BP Racing and we are pleased to say they certainly have done so over the last month, with a profit of 45 points made since our last update.

However, with the large previous losses, unfortunately they are still 53 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

So about half of the losses have been made back, just the other half to go now!

Just a reminder this is a service that bets at Betfair SP only, so there are only BSP results to record for this review.

BP Racing – Results Update

23rd October 2021

It’s been a pretty disastrous run for horse racing service BP Racing over the last month, with a loss of 68 points made since our last update.

That means they are now 98 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

The recommended betting bank is 200 points, so they are less than half the way through that.

We do need things to turn around for them soon though.

BP Racing – Results Update

23rd September 2021

It’s been a struggle to get going for horse racing service BP Racing so far, with a loss of 12 points made since our last update.

That means they are now 30 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder this is a service that bets at Betfair SP only, so there are only BSP results to record for this review.

If they could get back to the kind of form shown coming into our trial then you would potentially have the holy grail of tipping – a service that is profitable at Betfair SP. However, so far that is eluding them.

BP Racing – Results Update

23rd August 2021

It’s been a slow start to our review of horse racing service BP Racing with a loss of 18 points made for our trial after one month.

You can view full results here.

This is a service that advises bets on the morning of racing to be placed at Betfair SP. There is quite a high volume of tips with around 10 bets per day on average.

Still, being able to place them all at Betfair means it is actually pretty quick to place the bets each day.

Let’s hope they can get things moving in the right direction by the time of our next update.

BP Racing – New Review

22nd July 2021

Today we are starting a new trial of a service called BP Racing.

Despite the logo on their website, the “BP” doesn’t in fact stand for British Petroleum, but rather for “Betfair Price.”

From the Punt Hub stable of tipsters, this is a service that tips at Betair SP and for that reason is one we imagine will be popular with those of you who have had your bookie accounts restricted.

Yes, there is no need to worry about being gubbed, or having to react like lightning when tips are released to grab the advised prices before they get smashed in.

With this service you can just put the bets on at Betfair SP and go about the rest of your day.

It is a relatively new service having only been running since 24th April, but the results so far look very impressive.

Over 200 points profit has reportedly been made at one-point level stakes at a return on investment of 18%.

Those are exceptional results to have achieved at Betfair SP where it is notoriously hard to eek out any kind of profit at all.

There is quite a large volume of bets, with a few given out each day normally before 10am daily via Telegram.

Just to say there is currently a special discounted rate of just £10 for the first month (normally £25 per month) so a pretty decent offer there.

We would like to see this one do well as we know a lot of you are keen for a service that is profitable at Betfair SP. As ever though we will reserve judgement until we have conducted our trial.

Results will be updated here as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out BP Racing for yourself here.

Beth Bet – Final Review

Unfortunately we regret to report that this review is coming to an early end as the service is being discontinued.

Here is an excerpt from the e-mail we received from Beth Bet:

“Dear members of Beth Family,

We’ve come a great journey together but it is now the time our paths split. Unfortunately, Beth ceases her work due to circumstances beyond our control and some external factors.

Every day of Beth’s life we strived to give our players everything we have to become successful punters and always have been by your side. As much as we desire and aspire to continue developing Beth, there are unforeseen reasons that we cannot withstand.

The whole Beth Team wants to say thank you for sharing our passion for horse racing, for being with us every day, for making Beth better every day.

Starting from the 1st of February website beth.bet and app.beth.bet will not be available.”

So it’s a bit vague really on what exactly has happened, other than that it is due to circumstances beyond their control.

They say they will be issuing refunds though for subscribers with current plans that should have been active this year starting from February month so we hope they honour that.

It’s a shame as the system had actually been doing quite well, but in any event it goes in the FAILED/DEFUNCT pile unfortunately.

Beth Bet – Results Update

21st December 2021

AI software Beth Bet has continued to perform well, with a profit of £430 made to £10 stakes since our last update.

That means it is now £512 up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that this is an AI powered piece of software that analyzes a range of factors on horse races and identifies value selections to be placed with the bookies.

You have to place the bets yourself, although the software does include a link through to the race in question to make it easier.

It is advisable to have alerts turned on so you get a ping every time a new bet is issued.

Beth Bet – Results Update

18th November 2021

It’s been a good start to our trial of Beth Bet, with a profit of £82 made so far to £10 stakes after one month of testing.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that this is an AI powered piece of software that analyzes a range of factors on horse races and identifies value selections to be placed with the bookies.

You have to place the bets yourself, although the software does include a link through to the race in question to make it easier.

Essentially you turn the software on before racing (morning is best) and let it churn out the selections. You need to place the bets as quickly as possible after they are issued, before the odds decrease.

They recommend trying to place at least 20 bets per day which is what we have been aiming for, although some days it has not always been possible to use the software due to outside circumstances.

In any event, it has been working well so far as we are in profit, so is looking promising.

Beth Bet – New Review

16th October 2021

Today we are starting a trial of a new piece of horse racing software called Beth Bet.

This is an AI powered tool that analyzes a range of factors including horse pedigree, history, track conditions, current form of horses and jockeys and even weather reports.

It crunches all this data and identifies situations where the odds of a horse are higher than they should be – and therefore represents value.

It currently works with 11 bookies, namely:-

– BetVictor
– Bet365
– Coral
– Ladbrokes
– William Hill
– 888 Sport
– Paddy Power
– 10bet
– PokerStars Sports
– BetWay
– NetBet

You can use it with as many or as few of these bookies as you like.

There is no arbitrage between the bookies and/or exchanges and no trading. It is just a question of placing the bets and letting them run. The idea is that over time the positive EV (expected value) in the bets will make a profit.

The results shown on the Beth Bet website look very impressive to say the least:-

Normally we are sceptical of things like this but we have seen some positive reports about Beth Bet from a couple of sources we trust so thought it would be worth checking out.

One aspect we are particularly interested in is whether it is profitable to use on Betfair. Now technically it is set up to be used with the bookies but we know lots of you have been limited with the bookmakers so if this was to prove effective on Betfair it would be a real bonus.

The other fear we have with tools like this that look to capitalise on value at the bookies is that they can end up getting your bookmaker accounts restricted, so that is another aspect we will have to consider.

All in all though this look interesting and certainly worth testing out.

We will update results here as we along so you can see how Beth Bet is performing for us.

In the meantime you can check out Beth Bet for yourself here.

The Outside Edge – Final Review

We have reached the end of our 14 month trial of The Outside Edge and here are the final results:-

Profit/Loss:  +269 point profit
Strike Rate:   29%
Bank Growth:   90%
ROI:   10%
Average number of bets:   4 bets per day

VERDICT:   PASSED

The Outside Edge – Full Review

The Outside Edge is a horse racing tipster from the Betting Gods stable of tipsters. They provide tips in UK and Irish flat & jumps racing, with the occasional tip for US racing.

We followed the tips for an extended 14 months, which gave us a very substantial sample size of 1624 bets.

Any tipster that can produce a sustained profit over an extended trial like this is worthy of respect and that is exactly what The Outside Edge managed to do.

A total profit of 269 points was made at advised prices during our trial, which is an excellent amount to have amassed.

That was achieved with a solid strike of 29% (including placed horses) and a respectable ROI of 10%.

In terms of the profit graph over the trial, it was very strong over the early part of the trial with steady upward growth, then moved sideways for a while before quite a substantial dip, but then recovered strongly over the latter part of our trial:

That shows the importance of having a big enough betting bank and the patience to withstand extended drawdowns. Those who stuck with it would have been rewarded with the recent upturn in form over the past couple of months.

Turning to the Betfair SP results, these were quite a bit below the results at advised prices, with a profit of 106 points was made. Whilst still a very good amount to have made at BSP, it is less than half the profit made at advised prices.

So to get the most out of the service you will want to have access to bookie accounts, although it is still viable to follow if you are restricted to using the exchanges.

Overall then with an excellent 269 points profit made for our trial at advised prices, we are happy to award The Outside Edge a PASSED rating.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are sent by e-mail, with an update the evening before racing and then another on the morning of racing. With around 4 bets per day on average it’s a little bit of work to follow but not too bad by any means.

Availability of prices: Prices can be quite sensitive, particularly those sent out the evening before racing. There was quite a big difference between the results at advised prices and BSP, which shows the value being achieved early but also the importance of getting bets on quickly.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 29% (including placed horses), which is pretty good for a horse racing service.

Advised Betting Bank: A 300 point betting bank was advised for following the service, which given the drawdown of around 200 points seems fair, although to be on the safe side a 400 point bank could be advised for this service.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs at the time of writing are £1.99 for the first 15 days then £27 per month, which is very reasonable given the results achieved.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

The Outside Edge is a horse racing tipster that produced an excellent 269 points profit during an extended 14 month trial.

It achieved that with a strike rate of 29% and an ROI of 10%, which are more than respectable statistics. There was quite a substantial drawdown during our trial though, so a large betting bank is required if following the service (at least 300 points).

All in all though it’s been a very successful trial and the service is well worthy of a PASSED rating.

The Outside Edge – Results Update

20th October 2021

Horse racing tipster The Outside Edge has bounced back nicely over the last month, with a profit of 48 points made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now an excellent 158 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

It’s also been a decent month at Betfair SP, with a profit of 20 points made since our last update. That means they are now 35 points up for our trial overall at BSP.

The highlight over the last month was a cracking 50/1 winner in the shape of Bedouin’s Story at Newmarket, which members obviously very much enjoyed. It was also a decent BSP at 45, so even those without bookie accounts would have landed a nice touch.

The Outside Edge – Results Update

15th September 2021

Unfortunately it’s been a difficult time for horse racing tipster The Outside Edge lately, with a loss of 72 points made at advised prices since our last update.

With the previous profits however they are still 110 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

It’s also been a rough time lately at Betfair SP, with a loss of 78 points made since our last update. However, they are still 15 points up for our trial overall at BSP.

This review started off really well so it’s a shame it’s turned south over the last couple of months, but they are still well up for our trial overall so let’s hope they get back on track soon.

It’s also been a tough month at Betfair SP, with a loss of 56 points made since our last update. However, they are still 93 points up for our trial overall at BSP.

The Outside Edge – Results Update

14th July 2021

It’s been a quiet month for horse racing tipster The Outside Edge, with a profit of just 1 point made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now an excellent 226 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

It was a bit of a tougher month at Betfair SP though, with a loss of 31 points made since our last update. However, they are still 149 points up for our trial overall at BSP.

We now have a sample size of over 1,000 bets for our trial which is obviously a very good number.

To have produced such good profits over a large sample size like this is a strong indication of a service with a clear edge over the market.

The Outside Edge – Results Update

14th June 2021

For the first time since we started our review, horse racing tipster The Outside Edge has experienced something of a correction, with a loss of 33 points made at advised prices since our last update.

With the very strong gains made previously however, they are still an impressive 225 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

The results at Betfair SP have also taken a step back, with a loss of 49 points made since our last update. However, they are still 180 points up for our trial overall at BSP.

Hopefully this is just a temporary blip and they will be back to winning ways again shortly.

The Outside Edge – Results Update

23rd February 2021

Horse racing tipster The Outside Edge continues to give the bookies a good bashing, adding another 40 points profit at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now a superb 151 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

The results at Betfair SP continue to track nicely, with 15 points profit made since our last update and 108 points profit made for our trial overall.

Most bets are 1 points each-way or 1-2 point win bets, with an average stake of 1.7 points per bet, so pretty sensible staking from this tipster.

All in all a lot to like about this service.

The Outside Edge – Results Update

23rd January 2021

It’s been a very good month for horse racing tipster The Outside Edge, with a profit of 48 points made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 111 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

The results at Betfair SP are holding up pretty well, with 23 points profit made since our last update and 93 points profit made for our trial overall at BSP.

These results are particularly impressive when you consider how many tipsters have struggled in recent times with variable ground, cancelled meetings and a revised schedule playing havoc with the form.

Fair play to them and long may it continue.

The Outside Edge – Results Update

22nd December 2020

It’s been a very good start to our trial of horse racing tipster The Outside Edge, with a profit of 63 points made at advised prices after two months.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP it’s also been a strong start, with a profit of 70 points made so far. That is down in part to an excellent winner they had on Saturday at Ascot with Not So Sleepy winning at a BSP of 30.36, which really gave them a boost heading into the Xmas period.

Just a reminder that as noted below in our opening of the review, we started receiving tips on 20th October so have recorded results from then.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

The Outside Edge – New Review

16th November 2020

Today we are stating a new review of a horse racing tipster called The Outside Edge.

This is a tipster from the reputable Betting Gods tipster platform who started proofing their tips back in December 2019, so nearly a year ago now.

In that time they have produced £2,764 profit at £10 per point stakes at a return on investment of over 15%

That works out at an average monthly profit of £276 at the same £10 per point stakes which is very handy indeed.

The strike rate (otherwise known as win rate) is over 30% which is healthy level and should mean there are steady returns (hopefully).

Tips are provided by a chap called Darren and he explains his approach as follows:-

“I like to take a two-pronged approach which is why I send two sets of tips each day. I send my first few tips the evening before – this is where I capture value in the markets. I then send a second round of tips in the morning of racing where I look at market trends to grab some final value for you.”

So two shots at grabbing some value and smashing the bookies, which is encouraging.

We started receiving tips on 20th October so will record results from then. They have started off very strongly so hopefully that will continue for the remainder of our review. Results will be updated here regularly as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out The Outside Edge for yourself here.

QF Value Tips – Update

Please note that due to time commitments this service has been discontinued for the time being. However, the main Quentin Franks Racing service is still running and you can check that out here.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

QF Value Tips – Three Year Update

18th October 2019

Here at HBR our aim is not just to do reviews and then forget about them but continue to monitor services to ensure they continue to perform to a high level over the long term.

So with three years passed since our original review of QF Value Tips (see below), we thought it was more than high time for an update.

QF Value Tips is a sister service to the highly successful and much-acclaimed Quentin Franks Racing, with the tips provided by the very same man. The only difference being that the selections for QF Value Tips are provided the night before racing where as for Quentin Franks Racing they are provided on the morning of racing (besides the occasional ante-post tip).

Given the exceptional quality of the main Quentin Franks service, with over £14,000 profit made to date to just £10 stakes, it was no surprise that QF Value Tips also received a passed rating back in our original review of 2016.

So how has the service performed since then?

We are pleased to say it has performed very well, with a total profit now of over 500 points made – or £5,000 to just £10 stakes.

That’s an additional 230 points profit since our review ended, which is excellent going. Most tipsters we review aren’t even still going three years later, let alone still churning out the profit, so Quentin deserves a lot of praise for that.

The return on investment (ROI) has remained around 20% for the duration of the service which is also a strong effort over such a sustained period.

The strike rate isn’t bad either at over 25% and it’s a very easy service to follow with an average of just one bet per day.

So all in all QF Value Tips is well worthy of its continued PASSED rating and we actually think it deserves a bit of an upgrade from four stars to four and a half stars.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

Very few tipsters stand the test of time and are still going a year after our review of them ends, let alone still churning out the profits three years later. QF Value Tips has managed to do that though, adding another 230 points profit since our original review ended to stand at over 500 points profit made overall.

With his outstanding main service, there is no doubt Quentin Franks is one of the very best tipsters out there and his two services compliment each other very nicely. So if you aren’t a member of both already it is probably time to sign up!

QF Value Tips – Full Review

QF Value Tips is a spin-off of the very successful horse racing tipster Quentin Franks Racing, which we have reviewed previously and got a rating of 5 stars, an exceptional achievement.

Whilst the main Quentin Franks Racing tips in the morning of racing, QF Value Tips provides selections the evening before racing, looking for value in the early bookies’ prices.

And from the results over our trial, he is rather good at it too!

Making 53 points over the trial was a very decent effort and compliments the main Quentin Franks tips nicely.

Here you can see the profit graph for the trial:

QF Value Tips Profit Graph

Things got off to a slow start but really picked up and grew nicely during the trial.

You do need to back the tips as soon as possible after they are sent out though, at certainly in the evening before racing, as the results at Betfair SP were considerably lower, with just 10 points profit being made during our trial.

However, as long as you can do that, then this is well worth adding to your betting portfolio.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: QF Value Tips is a fairly easy service to use with just a couple of bets per day, sent out in the evening.

Availability of prices: Prices reduce fairly significantly by the off, which is no doubt due to the fact that they are value prices. So you want to get your bets on as soon as possible after tips are sent out. From our trial it seemed as if there was limited value at Betfair SP.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 23%, which is reasonable but means a degree of patience will be required when following this service.

Advised Betting Bank: No betting bank was advised, but we used a 100 point bank for the trial, which should be enough to cover losing runs.

Subscription costs: Subscription costs are £1.99 for the first 15 days then £17 per month.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

QF Value Tips is a spin-off from the very successful horse racing tipster Quentin Franks Racing.

Not surprisingly from someone who has achieved such excellent with his main service, Quentin has also delivered excellent returns with QF Value Tips as well.

A profit of 53 points was made over the trial at advised prices, which is decent stuff and is deserving of a recommended rating in our view.

The only thing to note is that if you don’t have any bookie accounts left, this may not be the service for you as results at Betfair SP were quite a bit lower, with only 10 points profit being made.

But other than that, an excellent trial again and QF Value Tips is well worth adding to your betting portfolio!

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

QF Value Tips – Results Update

11th August 2016

It has been a decent few weeks for QF Value Tips, who have picked up 34 points of profit at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 37 points up overall for the trial.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP they have added 22 points of profit, bringing them to 2 points up overall.

Good to see Quentin adding more profits to all those gained from his main Quentin Franks Racing service.

Back soon with our final review.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

QF Value Tips – Results Update

18th July 2016

It has continued to be a quiet time for QF Value Tips, with just 4 points of profit added since our last update a month ago.

That means the service is 3 points in profit for the trial as a whole at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

Things have been a little trickier at Betfair SP, with the results being 20 points down at BSP.

That is perhaps not surprising, given that the service is based on taking prices the evening before racing. By the time you get to the off, the value has probably gone.

So let’s hope things get going for QF Value Tips over the last month of the trial.

As an aside, the main Quentin Franks Racing tips have been going great guns, notching an amazing 82 points of profit this month so far, meaning he has now made over 600 points profit since the service started just two years ago.

Impressive stuff indeed.

QF Value Tips – Results Update

18th June 2016

QF Value Tips is the second service from Quentin Franks, one of the very best horse racing tipsters we have come across here at Honest Betting Reviews.

The QF Tips differ from the original Quentin Franks Racing tips by being sent the evening before racing rather than the day of racing.

We are just under a month into our trial and things have been quiet so far, with the tips being just 1 point down to date at advised prices and 14 points down at Betfair SP.

You can view full results here.

Things were helped with a couple of very nice winners at Royal Ascot, in the shape of Defrocked at 12/1 and Primitivo at 8/1.

Let’s hope for more of the same over the rest of the trial – we will report back soon with how things are progressing.

QF Value Tips – New Review

26th May 2016

One of the very best horse racing tipsters we have reviewed so far here at Honest Betting Reviews is Quentin Franks Racing.

In under two years of tipping, Quentin has made over 500 points profit at a return on investment of over 18%.

He has shown remarkable consistency, with 10 of the last 11 months having been profitable.

So when Quentin decided to launch an additional tipping service, we were understandably very interested to see what was on offer.

The additional service is called QF Value Tips and differs from Quentin’s main offering in providing tips the evening before racing rather than the day of racing.

Thus QF Value Tips aim to maximise the value in the early bookmakers’ prices to try and make a profit.

And the news so far is good, with QF Value Tips having made 180 points profit at a return on investment of just under 25% in eight months of tipping.

So it looks like it may well be a very useful additional service to add to the portfolio and top up the monthly profits.

We are interested to see how the prices hold up and will run a normal three month review of QF Value Tips to see how it gets on.

Check back here for regular updates.

In the meantime, you can check out QF Value Tips here.

Hanbury Racing Tips – Full Review

Hanbury Racing Tips is a horse racing tipping service providing selections – often at high odds – for UK and Irish racing.

The selections for Hanbury Racing Tips are provided by a chap called Richard Hutchinson who won the Tote Ten To Follow Jumps competition in 2020. In doing so he captured the £10,000 March monthly prize and also the £177,000 first prize, so in total over £188,000 for his syndicate.

We followed his tips for an extended seven month trial, in which time we proofed over 450 bets.

And after that extended trial we are pleased to report that the results were excellent, with a total profit of 238 points made at advised prices.

That was achieved with an excellent return on investment (ROI) of 27% and a solid strike rate of 21% (including placed horses).

Richard has a penchant for high odds selections and there were a number of 100/1 shots picked and a lot at 66/1 and other big prices too.

Amazingly, one of the 100/1 shots actually won during our trial and a 150/1 came second towards the end of our trial – but tipped each way it still returned a healthy 29 points profit.

So in terms of the results at advised prices, this was one of the best horse racing trials we have run for a while.

One thing to be aware of though is that there was a wide discrepancy between the results at advised prices and those at Betfair SP, with the latter actually making an 89 point loss for our trial.

That difference was down in large part to one tip – Danilo D’Airy – which won at advised odds of 100/1. With a small rule 4 deduction included, it returned 106 points at advised prices from a one point each-way bet.

However, at Betfair SP it went off at just 12.53, returning just under 14 points profit, so a massive difference there.

Excluding this rather exceptional selection from the results though, you would still get results of 132 points profit at advised prices versus a 103 point loss at BSP.

So whichever way you slice it this doesn’t look like a service you can follow at Betfair SP and is one you would need bookie accounts for.

If you do have bookie accounts though it has been an excellent trial as we say and well worthy of a PASSED rating.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are sent by e-mail, normally the evening before racing with a few early in the morning on the day of racing. With around 2-3 bets per day on average it’s not too onerous to follow.

Availability of prices: As Richard tips at very big odds the prices tend to be pretty sensitive so it is advisable to get your bets on as soon as possible. Quite often the big prices get smashed in by the time of the race. And as mentioned above, it does not look like the service is practical to follow at Betfair SP so you will need access to bookie accounts to make it practical to follow the service.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 21%, which is pretty good when you consider the odds tipped at.

Advised Betting Bank: A 210 point betting bank was advised for following the service and that seems about right to us.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs at the time of writing are £4.99 for the first 14 days then £36.99 per month.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

Hanbury Racing Tips is a horse racing service that provides tips at high odds on UK and Irish racing. They came into our trial with a strong reputation and for once we can say they fully lived up to it, amassing a superb 238 points profit at advised prices. The ROI was also excellent at 27%.

The only thing to note is that it doesn’t look like the service is practical to follow at Betfair SP, as they actually made a loss at BSP for our trial.

Please note they are offering a 25% discount on subscriptions for Honest Betting Reviews visitors – please use the code honest25 at checkout.

Hanbury Racing Tips – Results Update

27th September 2021

Horse racing tipster Hanbury Racing Tips continues to fly along, with another 63 points profit made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now an impressive 199 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

As mentioned in previous updates it’s not quite such a bright picture at Betfair SP though, with a profit of 17 points made since our last update but 81 points lost for our trial overall at BSP.

There have been excellent winners over the last month at prices of 25/1, 16/1, 14/1 and 33/1, as well as lot of big-priced place finishes.

Top stuff and well done to Richard who runs the service.

Hanbury Racing Tips – Results Update

25th August 2021

Yet more profit for Hanbury Racing Tips this month with another 12 points profit made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now an impressive 136 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

As mentioned in previous updates it’s a very different picture at Betfair SP though, with a loss of 48 points made since our last update and 98 points lost for our trial overall at BSP.

Even taking into account the one selection that was tipped at 100/1 but went off at 12.53 BSP, that is still one of the biggest differences we have seen between advised prices and BSP in one of our trials.

That may be down in part to them tipping the evening before racing and looking for value at big prices which then get punted in by the off.

Whatever the reason though this is definitely looking like a service you need bookie accounts to follow.

Hanbury Racing Tips – Results Update

23rd July 2021

The good form continues for Hanbury Racing Tips, with another 33 points profit made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now an excellent 124 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

As mentioned in previous updates it’s a very different picture however at Betfair SP, with 21 points profit made since our last update but 50 points lost for our trial overall at BSP.

So it very much looks like this is not a service to follow if you are restricted to the exchanges – bookie accounts are needed.

If you have bookie accounts then it’s looking like a top service.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Hanbury Racing Tips – Results Update

23rd June 2021

Just a small profit this month for Hanbury Racing Tips, with 4 points profit made at advised prices since our last update.

With the big gains made previously that puts them 91 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

As mentioned last time it’s a very different picture however at Betfair SP, with another 23 points lost since our last update and 71 points lost for our trial overall at BSP.

So it very much looks like this is not a service to follow if you are restricted to the exchanges – bookie accounts are needed.

In fact we can’t remember seeing such a big discrepancy between results at advised prices and those at Betfair SP before, although as mentioned last time a large part of this is due to one winner which was advised at 100/1 but went off a BSP of just 12.53.

Anyway, just to mention as well that Hanbury Racing won our tipster of the month award last month, belatedly added after they were mistakenly overlooked in our original post. So congrats to them on the win.

Hanbury Racing Tips – Results Update

21st May 2021

It’s been an excellent start to our trial of Hanbury Racing Tips, with 87 points profit made so far to advised prices.

You can view full results here.

It is quite a different story however at Betfair SP, as they are actually 48 points down for our trial so far at BSP.

That is down in large part to just one tip – Danilo D’Airy – which won at advised odds of 100/1. With a small rule 4 deduction included, it returned 106 points at advised prices from a one point each-way bet.

However, at Betfair SP it went off at just 12.53, returning just under 14 points profit, so a massive difference there obviously. That fits the definition of a horse that was “smashed in” if ever there was one!

Whether that was just a one-off or not we will have to wait and see, but so far it is looking like this is a service you will need access to bookie accounts to get the most out of.

Hanbury Racing Tips – New Review

17th April 2021

Today we are starting a new review of a horse racing service called Hanbury Racing Tips.

This comes from a new tipster platform called Mega Tipsters.

The selections for Hanbury Racing Tips come from a chap called Richard Hutchinson who won the Tote Ten To Follow Jumps competition in 2020. In doing so he captured the £10,000 March monthly prize and also the £177,000 first prize, so in total over £188,000 for his syndicate.

In addition, Richard finished 9th in 2009 and had a runner in the Grand National. With these kind of results, it was only natural for him to turn his attention to running a professional tipping service, and that is what he has done at Mega Tipsters.

Richard has been following racing for over 30 years and studies form the closely, watching a huge amount of racing to aid his selection process. He specialises in both grade 1 horses and well-handicapped types. Either way Richard spends many hours studying the form before sending out his tips.

The results since Richard starting tipping in May 2020 look very impressive, with a profit of over 660 points made at a superb ROI of 39.5%.

That works out at over £16,000 profit at £25 per point stakes and over £1500 per month profit.

The focus at Hanbury Racing is on long-shot selections, with massive winners at prices of 66/1, 50/1, 33/1, 28/1, 22/1 having been achieved to date. And amazingly they just hit a 150/1 winner a couple of weeks ago!

Whilst that has provided exceptional returns – and plenty of excitement – to date, it also means a substantial betting bank is needed and a 225 point bank is recommended.

Overall then this looks like a very promising service and we are looking forward to seeing how it gets on. We started receiving tips on 13th April so will record selections from then. As usual we will update things as we along here.

In the meantime you can check out Hanbury Racing Tips for yourself here.

Strike Rate:   30%
Bank Growth:   -17%

Strike Rate Racing – Full Review

Strike Rate Racing is a horse racing tipster that claims to have made its members over £50,000 per year from its racing tips.

They provide four tips per day, Monday to Friday, at around the 11/8 – 4/1 mark. Tips are sent by e-mail early in the morning on the day of racing. All bets are one point win bets.

The idea is that by tipping at relatively short odds they aim to be able to maintain a decent strike rate and keep the bank ticking along.

Anyway, we followed the service for three months and in that time proofed just over 250 bets, which is a reasonable sample size.

At the end of our trial they finished with a small loss of 17 points at advised prices, which represented less than a fifth of the betting bank.

The strike rate was pretty decent at 30%, so just under a third of the tips were winners.

The interesting thing with this trial was that the Betfair SP results actually turned out better than the results at advised prices, with a profit of 15 points made for our trial.

That’s quite unusual and will be a comfort to those who have had their bookie accounts restricted and were just following the service on Betfair.

At the end of the day, as the service made a small loss at advised prices but a small profit at BSP, we think a NEUTRAL rating is fair on balance.

The one thing we did note however is that in addition to receiving the tips, we did receive quite a bit of spam e-mails advertising other tipping services, most of which looked dubious at best. Ideally that’s something we prefer not to see – just the tips would be nice. The occasional e-mail about another service is okay but to have it regularly is a bit much.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are sent by e-mail, normally very early in the morning on the day of racing. With around 4 bets per day on average it’s not too onerous to follow and there are no bets at weekends.

Availability of prices: We didn’t really see any pressure on prices and in fact the BSP results were actually better than the advised prices.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 30%, which is round about what we expect given the odds tipped at.

Advised Betting Bank: There was no betting bank advised but we used a 100 point betting bank for our trial was adequate for our purposes.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs at the time of writing are £30 per month or £100 per year.

OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL

Strike Rate Racing is a simple horse race tipping service that sends out four tips per day, Monday to Friday.

After a three month trial and over 250 bets, they finished with a loss of 17 points at advised prices but a profit of 15 points at Betfair SP.

On balance then we feel a NEUTRAL rating is warranted in this instance.

Strike Rate Racing – Results Update

13th September 2021

Still not much happening for horse racing tipster Strike Rate Racing, with just 2 points dropped at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 2 points down for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

Intriguingly they continue to do better at Betfair SP so far than at advised prices, with another 13 points profit made since our last update and 26 points profit made for our trial overall at BSP.

In case you were wondering after looking at the results sheet, they don’t tip at weekends so that explains the gap in dates.

It’s pretty low workload during the week in any event, with just four tips normally – all backed win only.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Strike Rate Racing – Results Update

9th August 2021

It’s been a quiet start to our trial of Strike Rate Racing so far, as they are even at advised prices after three weeks.

You can view full results here.

They have actually done better at Betfair SP so far than at advised prices, as they sit 13 points up for our trial to date at BSP.

Just a reminder that this is a straightforward tipping service with four tips sent on weekdays early in the morning. The odds tend to be fairly short, hence the name in terms of looking for a high strike rate of winners.

Early days but solid enough so far.

Strike Rate Racing – New Review

19th July 2021

Today we are starting a new review of a service called Strike Rate Racing.

This is a service that a few of our members asked us to take a look at so we thought we would give it a go. It claims to have made its members over £50,000 per year from its racing tips. There is no breakdown of what staking this was based on though, or ROI etc.

There is a screenshot on their website of a William Hill account with over £52,800 in it, although we would point out that this doesn’t mean much in itself. Things like that can easily be fabricated, or they could have just deposited those funds rather than having won them. We would also have thought profits would be spread around different bookies rather than concentrated in just one.

Anyway, leaving this aside, they claim to be “a team of highly experienced professional horse racing tipsters who make ourselves a financial income and luxurious lifestyle through horse race betting.”

They say they come from a variety of backgrounds including accounting, bookmaking, computer science and racehorse training.

In terms of their approach to selecting the tips, they say they study “odds, form, jockey and trainer combinations, weather patterns” and anything else that can give them an edge. There isn’t much reference to where the idea of a high strike comes in to it though.

There are also no published results on the website, which is a little worrying. Usually we would look for full results to back up the claims of profits a service makes.

In any event, we will reserve judgement until we have conducted our review and can see what kind of results they can produce under a live trial. As usual we will update things here as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out Strike Rate Racing for yourself here.

Wiltshire racing

Wiltshire Racing – Final Review

This is just a quick note to say that unfortunately the Wiltshire Racing service has been discontinued. We received this notification from the Tipsters Empire platform informing members of the decision:-

“Mark emailed us to say he will be stepping away from his role with Tipsters Empire as although he has worked very hard, his results have not been quite where he wanted. We respect his decision and wish him all the best in the future.”

And here is Mark himself, who provided the tips for Wiltshire Racing:-

“A big thankyou to those who have supported us since we went live in April and to the excellent Tipsters Empire for giving us the opportunity. Unfortunately, our overall results through the Summer have not been good enough and have not matched those we achieved during our proofing period last Winter.”

So there you have it, a case of the tipster themselves not wanting to continue rather than anything else. Actually the results weren’t too bad, they were only a few points down – we have certainly seen a lot worse in our time here at Honest Betting Reviews!

Alas tipping can be quite a stressful job when things aren’t going your way though so we can understand Mark wanting to step away from it.

In any event, that obviously means this service goes on to the Defunct pile unfortunately. On to the next one for us…

Wiltshire Racing – Results Update

20th September 2021

Still not much movement for horse racing tipster Wiltshire Racing over the last month, with a loss of 6 points made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now six points down for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

It was a slightly better month at Betfair SP, with a profit of 1 point made since our last update. That still leaves them 20 points down for our trial overall at BSP however.

Let’s see if they can get things moving in the right direction by the time of our next update.

Wiltshire Racing – Results Update

20th August 2021

It continues to be a quiet time for horse racing tipster Wiltshire Racing, with a profit of 3 points made at advised prices since our last update a month ago.

That means they are now level for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

It’s been a little bit worse at Betfair SP, with a loss of 11 points made since our last update and 21 points lost for our trial to date at BSP.

They have had a few nice winners lately at prices up to 10/1, so let’s hope that’s a sign of things to come.

It’s been a little bit worse at Betfair SP, with a loss of 9 points made for our trial so far at BSP.

It’s quite a simple service to follow with just 1-2 bets per day and tips normally sent out early in the morning (just after 8am UK time) on the day of racing.

Anyway, let’s see if they can get things going by the time of our next update.

Wiltshire Racing – New Review

22nd June 2021

Today we are starting a new review of a horse racing tipster called Wiltshire Racing.

Based at the Tipsters Empire stable, the tipster grew up near Haydock Park as a youngster in the late seventies.

He then moved to the South West where he worked as a freelance writer for some big companies within the Horse Racing industry, providing race previews and tipping services.

In punting terms he specialises in handicap chases and all-aged middle distance flat turf handicaps.

He concentrates on how a race is likely to be run and the effect of the prevailing conditions, course type and trainer’s mode of operation rather than just traditional form analysis which is what most of the media focuses on. His average tip is priced at around 6/1, as he likes to take on vulnerable favourites at the top of the market.

The results for Wiltshire Racing on the Tipsters Empire website look promising, with a profit of 124 points made since starting up in October last year.

That has been achieved with an excellent return on investment (ROI) of 28% and with a solid strike rate of 18%

They look to have a good level of consistency so let’s see if they can keep that going during our trial.

We started receiving tips on 19th June so will record results from then. As usual we will provide updates here as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out Wiltshire Racing for yourself here.

Flat Flyers – Final Review

We have reached the end of our six month trial of Flat Flyers and here are the final results:-

Profit/Loss:  -3 point loss
Strike Rate:   27%
Bank Growth:   -1.5%
ROI:   -0.2%
Average number of bets:   3 bets per day

Flat Flyers – Full Review

Flat Flyers is a horse racing service from the Back Lucrative team, whose main service we reviewed last year and awarded a passed rating to after it made over 100 points profit.

Their other spin-off service Hidden Winners we reviewed a few months ago and also awarded a passed rating to after it made over 60 points profit.

So we came into this review with high hopes that Flat Flyers could produce similar results. Certainly the long-term performance over the last few years looked strong.

Essentially the service is about finding value selections at early-morning prices in flat races. There is a three-pronged process to finding the bets, which is set out in a handy PDF you can view upon joining the service.

The tips are posted in the members’ area, normally by around 10am (UK time) so it’s important to remember to log on each day as there is no e-mail service.

There are an average of three bets per day, so it’s not too bad in terms of workload. The advice is to back the selections win-only for two points if the odds are less than 5/1 (6.0), or one point each-way if the odds are above that. For the purposes of this review we used that staking guidance.

We ran a six month review to get a good look at the service, which also covered nearly the whole flat season. We proofed over 600 bets which is a good sample size.

The trial started off well and at one point we were 74 points up, so it looked like we were heading for a really good return.

However, that turned out to be pretty much the high point and things tailed off from there as we ended up 3 points down at advised prices by the end of the trial.

It was a shame really because as we say, we had high hopes for this service and it started off so well.

In terms of the Betfair SP results, they were considerably worse than those at advised prices, with a loss of 95 points made at BSP. So it looks very much like you need bookie accounts to follow this service.

All in all though a loss of 3 points is no disaster and is very close to breaking even, so we award Flat Flyers a NEUTRAL rating in the end.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The bets are posted in the members area by 10am UK time. With around 3 bets per day on average it’s not too onerous to follow, although some days there are more bets if it’s a busy day’s racing.

Availability of prices: The prices do tend to see some downwards movement, which at least suggests they are finding value. As mentioned above the results were much worse at BSP so it looks like a service you’ll need bookie accounts for.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 27% (including placed horses), which is solid enough but a bit below where it needed to be to produce a profit.

Advised Betting Bank: A 200 point betting bank is recommended for following the service, which sounds reasonable to us.

Subscription costs: The service is closed to new members at the current time.

OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL

Flat Flyers is a horse racing service from the Back Lucrative team. Their previous services have performed very well here at Honest Betting Reviews, so we had high hopes for this one – particularly after it got off to a strong start.

Sadly though things tailed off towards the latter part of the review and they ended up 3 points down in the end.

So it’s a NEUTRAL rating from us after what was in effect pretty much a break-even trial.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Flat Flyers – Results Update

3rd September 2021

It’s been a fairly quite time for horse racing service Flat Flyers, with a profit of 6 points made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 20 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

They haven’t fared quite so well at Betfair SP however, with no change made since our last update but 44 points lost for our trial overall at BSP.

They did have one lovely winner this month though in the shape of Indigo Times at Newmarket, advised at 28/1 but went off a massive BSP of 43.25, which really boosted results.

A few more of those winners and they will be well on their way.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Flat Flyers – Results Update

4th August 2021

It’s been a solid month for horse racing service Flat Flyers, with a profit of 10 points made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 14 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

It’s not quite as positive a story at Betfair SP however, with a loss of 29 points made since our last update. That puts them  44 points down for our trial overall at BSP.

So it’s looking questionable whether this service is practical to follow at Betfair SP, but at advised prices it’s looking decent.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Flat Flyers – Results Update

3rd July 2021

It’s been a tough month for horse racing service Flat Flyers, with a loss of 57 points made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now just 4 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

It’s also been a pretty brutal month at Betfair SP, with a loss of 60 points made since our last update. That puts them 15 points down for our trial overall at BSP.

This trial has been very up and down so far, but we are nearly back where we started and with over half the flat season still to go there is plenty of time to get things moving forward again.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Flat Flyers – Results Update

3rd June 2021

It’s been a cracking month for horse racing service Flat Flyers, with a profit of 74 points made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 53 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

It’s also been a strong month at Betfair SP, with a profit of 61 points made since our last update. That puts them 45 points up for our trial overall at BSP.

You may have seen that with those excellent results, Flat Flyers won Tipster of the Month last month, a very commendable effort.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Flat Flyers – Results Update

4th May 2021

It’s been something of a slow start (ironically) to our trial of horse racing service Flat Flyers, which haven’t quite been flying yet, with a loss of 21 points made to advised prices so far.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP the results have been slightly better, with a loss of 16 points made so far.

Just a note that the advice is to back the selections win-only for two points if the odds are less than 5/1 (6.0), or one point each-way if the odds are above that.

And it is advised to try and take the prices as close to the 10am post time as possible in order to secure the value on the tips.

So a bit of a slow start on this one as we say but it’s still early days and plenty of time to recover.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Flat Flyers – New Review

8th April 2021

Today we are starting a new trial of a horse racing service called Flat Flyers.

It comes from the Back Lucrative team, whose main service we reviewed last year and awarded a passed rating to after it made over 100 points profit. Their other spin-off service Hidden Winners we have just finished reviewing and also awarded a passed rating to after it made over 60 points profit.

So this is stable with strong pedigree, to use a racing metaphor, and is one we have a great deal of respect for given their long track-record of success.

When Michael of Back Lucrative contacted us about a new service of theirs, we were obviously very keen therefore to hear more about it.

It’s actually not so much a new service, as one that was just reopened to new members and has in fact been running since December 2017.

The results since the service started have been very impressive, with the following profits made:

NH 2017: +33 points

FLAT 2018: +125.6 points

NH 2018: +23.05 points

FLAT 2019: +115.8 points

NH 2019: +65.69 points

FLAT 2020: 239.9 points

TOTAL: +603 points profit

So that’s very impressive stuff from just over three years of selections.

Just to note that when it says “NH” above, it stands for National Hunt flat races, which run through the winter when there is no flat turf racing.

Membership for this service is closed at the moment but they usually open it up at certain points during the year, so we will keep you posted when those occur.

As usual we will update results here so you can see how they get on.

In the meantime you can check out Flat Flyers for yourself here.

Master Racing Tipster – Final Update

We first started following the Master Racing Tipster six years ago and they were one of the first tipsters we gave a passed rating and five stars to.

They went on to produce over 700 points profit and become one of the top horse racing tipsters out there.

So we were disappointed to hear the news from the Tipping Gurus stable that the Master Racing Tipster has called it a day.

Here is their email in full:

“Today I bring you some sad news regarding the closure of the Master Racing service.

Lee has run an excellent service for almost ten years now and brought profits to many members throughout the years.

In the last 12-18 months he has been unhappy with his performance levels and feels now is the right time for him to bow out.

There is no animosity between us and we fully respect his decision as well as wish him all the best for the future.

Refunds for all existing members, where due, will be processed today.”

So there you have it from the horse’s mouth as it were. It’s always sad to see a good tipster go into retirement and Master Racing Tipster was certainly a good one. Things had been standing still for a while though and tipping is a tough game when you’re not making a profit.

Although it sounds pretty final, sometimes tipsters do change their mind and come back. Often it’s more a case of needing a break, so perhaps Lee will change his mind at some point in the future.

In the meantime though all we can do is thank him for his service over the years and we hope he made you some profit through his tips.

Master Racing Tipster – Results Update

5th August 2021

It’s been a much better month for the Master Racing Tipster, with a profit of 26 points made since our last update a month ago.

That means they are now just 14 points down for our re-review overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that they tip at Betfair SP, so there is no distinction in this review between results at advised prices and BSP – they are both the same.

They have hit a bit of hot streak lately with five winners out of their last nine tips, including at tasty prices of 10.82 and 8.8.

Good to see them getting their mojo back, fingers crossed they can keep it going.

Master Racing Tipster – Results Update

6th July 2021

The wobbly run continues for the Master Racing Tipster unfortunately, with a loss of 18 points made since our last update a month ago.

That means they are now 40 points down for our re-review overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that they tip at Betfair SP, so there is no distinction in this review between results at advised prices and BSP – they are both the same.

It is also worth reflecting on the fact that although recent results have been disappointing, the service did make 361 points profit during our original trial a few years ago (please see below) and has made over 800 points in total, so it’s important to keep things in context.

However, for new subscribers it will have been a tough experience lately so let’s hope the service can get back to its previous levels again soon.

With the flat season really getting going now with the Epsom Derby meeting this weekend and then Royal Ascot soon after, hopefully they can find a return to form soon.

Master Racing Tipster – Results Update

20th April 2021

It’s been a tough month for the Master Racing Tipster, with a loss of 16 points made since our last update.

That means they are also 16 points down for our trial overall, as they had been level at the time of our last update.

Master Racing Tipster – Results Update

10th February 2021

The Master Racing Tipster has struggled to really get going during our re-review, with another 3 points lost since our last update.

That means he is now 12 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that they tip at Betfair SP, so there is no distinction in this review between results at advised prices and BSP – they are both the same.

To be fair a lot of tipsters have struggled lately with everything that has been going on and there have been lots of strange results on the horses.

Using a 100 point bank you would only be 12% down which is nothing in the grand scheme of things, but of course it’s tough for subscribers who are looking for profits to be made. Let’s hope that comes soon as the weather improves and form settles down.

Master Racing Tipster – Results Update

27th December 2020

A small drop for the Master Racing Tipster over the last month, with a loss of 6 points made since our last update.

That means they are now 9 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that they tip at Betfair SP, so there is no distinction in this review between results at advised prices and BSP – they are both the same.

Just hasn’t quite got going yet this one but we have faith in the Master’s abilities so hopefully won’t be much longer before they move into profit for our re-review.

Master Racing Tipster – Results Update

30th November 2020

It’s been a quiet start to our re-review of Master Racing Tipster, with a small loss of 3 points made so far after just over one month.

You can view full results here.

A good thing about the service now is that they tip at Betfair SP, meaning it’s a viable option for those whose bookie accounts have been restricted. There is no worrying about having to chase prices either, you can just put the bets on BSP and then go about your day.

Anyway, a quiet start as we say but hopefully they will hit some form in December and we’ll have some positive news to report in our next update.

Master Racing Tipster – Re-Review

20th October 2020

One of the first services we ever reviewed here at Honest Betting Reviews – way back in 2015 – was a service called Master Racing Tipster.

It sailed through our original trial back in 2015 (see below), making over 100 points profit at a very high return on investment. At that time we believed it was a top service and indeed it proved to be so over our extended 20 month proofing period, amassing 361 points profit in that time.

We have continued tracking the service over the years including after it moved home from the Betting Gods tipster platform to Tipping Gurus (and now being named just “Master Racing” for short).

The service has remained one of the very best horse racing tipsters out there, reaching the heady heights of 847 points profit made since they began tipping in 2014.

The return on investment has remained consistently high at over 21%, a rare and impressive achievement over the course of more than six years.

Master Racing has been the model of consistency, as you can see from the profit graph below:

That’s the kind of steady and upward profit graph we love to see!

We have been meaning to take another look at Master Racing for a while now, but the service has recently undergone something of a revamp which piqued our interest further and initiated this re-review.

Basically Master Racing is now providing its selections on the morning of racing rather than the night before and is recording all results to Betfair SP.

That makes it very appealing to the many people who have had their bookie accounts restricted and are just looking for a tipster they can follow on Betfair.

Certainly if the results hold up at BSP it would make Master Racing a very attractive proposition indeed.

Add to that the stellar results so far this year:

  • – January: +10.8 points
  • – February: +2.88 points
  • – March: +17.1 points
  • – April: 0 points (no racing)
  • – May: +7 points
  • – June: -0.5 points
  • – July: +44.4 points
  • – August: +22.8 points
  • – September: +23.1 points
  • – October: +2.62 points

And it’s one we just can’t resist getting involved with again!

So we are commencing a re-review of the service today under these new parameters and are hopeful we will see its steady and consistent results repeated again under trial conditions. As ever results will be updated here as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out Master Racing (Tipster) for yourself here.

Master Racing Tipster – 20 Month Update

2nd February 2017

Here at Honest Betting Reviews we don’t believe in trialing a tipster for just three months and then forgetting about them.

We believe in following them for long periods of time, to give as fair and accurate a picture of the tipster’s performance as possible.

For example, we have been proofing the tips of the Master Racing Tipster for over 20 months now, a really good period to be able to judge a tipster.

It is also high time for an update on how things have been going.

Previously, we gave Master Racing Tipster a five star rating after our original three month trial and after six months.

So how have things gone in the intervening 14 months since our last update?

Results Update

Well, we are pleased to report they have gone very well, with another 187 points of profit added to the 174 points made during the first six months we followed the Master.

That means the Master Racing Tipster has made 361 points profit over the 20 months we have followed the tips.

If you had staked at £25 per point, that would have amounted to £9025 profit. Not a bad little second income! 🙂

Here’s a look at the results in graph format:

Master Racing Tipster Profit Graph

As you can see, it is an excellent profit graph with steady growth over the course of more than 900 bets placed during the period we have been following the tips.

There was a small decline in the middle as results stagnated for a period, but those who have stuck with the service over the long term have been richly rewarded.

Incredibly, those results have been achieved with a return on investment of over 30%, which is almost unheard of over such a long period and certainly puts the Master Racing Tipster up there with the very best in the industry.

The strike rate has been a healthy 28% as well, so a good proportion of winners.

OVERALL VERDICT:

Master Racing Tipster remains undoubtedly one of the best horse racing tipsters out there and well worthy of a continued 5-star rating.

Few tipsters can perform so consistently over a long period and the Master has done so amazingly well, with over 360 points profit made during the 20 months we have proofed the tips.

If you haven’t added this to your portfolio then we suggest doing so as soon as you can.

And the good news is that you can get a 14-day trial for just £5 here by using the code HBMASTER at checkout.

Master Racing Tipster – Six Month Update

26th June 2015

We now have over six months of proofed results for Master Racing Tipster and are pleased to report that it has continued to perform excellently since the end of our trial in June.

Since the trial concluded on 26th June 2015, they have added another 59 points of profit at advised prices and another 31 points profit at Betfair SP.

That means in total for the six months we have been following them, Master Racing Tipster have made 174 points profit at advised prices and 109 points profit at Betfair SP.

You can view full results here.

Here is a graph of the profit over the six month period:

Master Racing Tipster Profit Graph

As you can see, an excellent profit graph – pretty much all just steady growth with very little drawdown at all.

At advised prices we have had just under 350% bank growth – so if you had started off with a bank of £1,000 it would now be worth £4,500. Very impressive stuff.

And at Betfair SP, whilst the results are somewhat lower, you would still have achieved over 200% bank growth -no mean feat either.

All that has been achieved with a 54% return on investment and a 32% strike rate, which really is fantastic.

Conclusion

Overall we are pleased to say that after six months Master Racing Tipster continues to merit a 5 star rating and its place as our number 1 tipster.

Make sure you get on board whilst places are still available.

Master Racing Tipster Final Review

We have come to the end of our three month trial of Master Racing Tipster and what can we say apart from…WOW! And we mean WOW!

We thought when Banker Bets made 95% profit in three months and nearly doubled the bank over the course of the trial, it might never be beaten.

How wrong we were!

Master Racing Tipster has gone and more than trebled the bank in three months! That means if you had started off with £1,000 at the beginning of the trial, you would have £3,300 now.

The service managed a phenomenal 83% return on investment (ROI) over the three months, which we have rarely seen in over a decade of following tipsters.

Sometimes a tipster can rack up impressive profits just by bagging one or two really big priced winners (like a 100/1 shot) that distort their figures and make them look amazing.

That has not been the case here though. The highest price winner was 12/1 and the strike rate was a very healthy 34%, so the service showed an excellent level of consistency.

Here is a graph of the results over the course of the trial:

Master Racing Tipster Betting Graph

As you can see, just nice steady profit all the way – a punter’s dream!

You always get a full write-up for the selections which is reassuring and you can see the logic behind the tips.

The service is based on good old fashioned form study and seems to focus on well-handicapped horses – those that have suitable conditions, a jockey claiming a few pounds off, that can be forgiven a recent bad run or a combination of factors meaning they are good value.

The approach certainly worked over our trial anyway! 🙂

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: Good – it’s an easy service to follow as well with just an average of one bet per day so minimal work on your part.

Availability of prices: OK – tips are e-mailed out the evening before racing and you want to get your bets on as quickly as possible. We found that generally you can get close to advised prices if you get your bets on within an hour or so of the tips being sent out.

Sometimes it is difficult because only a couple of bookies will have priced up when bets are sent out, so if that is the case you may want to be a bit careful and not lump on too heavily as bookies don’t like it when big bets are placed as soon as odds are priced up the evening before racing.

If you wait until the next day then generally prices will have fallen quite a bit.

However, they still managed to make 78 points profit at Betfair SP (BSP) which is a very healthy 156% bank growth, so even if you just bet at Betfair SP you should still do nicely.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was very good at 34%, which makes the results look even more impressive because generally you are getting a good ratio of winners so can stake at reasonable levels.

Advised Betting Bank: The advised betting bank is 50 points, which seems fine given the 34% strike rate achieved during our trial and the long-term strike rate of 31%.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are fairly reasonable for a service of this quality with the first month at £1 followed by £59.95 per month, £154.95 per quarter, or £359.95 for life.

Certainly we have seen services with results like this one charge upwards of £1,000 per year, so we think the subscription costs are good value for what you are getting.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

We have no hesitation whatsoever in placing this on our approved list – with bells on!

To have more than trebled the bank in three months is amazing stuff.

In total the service has been running for over a year and has racked up over 300 points profit.

Now we can’t verify the results before our trial started but all our experience with having monitored Horse Racing Bettinga number of Betting Gods’ services is that their results are fully accurate so we have no reason to doubt the past results.

Our only word of warning is on prices – you may not be able to quite match the advised prices. Even at Betfair SP you would have made 78 points profit though, which is still very impressive.

We would expect in reality you will achieve somewhere between the Betfair SP results and the advised results without too much bother.

So all in all it really has been a fantastic trial and we would advise getting on board whilst you can – there is always a risk with a service as good as this that they have to limit numbers at some point to protect prices, otherwise it could become unworkable.

ImRigged -Final Review

Well this is one of the shortest reviews we’ve ever run here at Honest Betting Reviews.

Just a couple of weeks after starting our trial, we received this e-mail from Tipping Gurus:

“Many apologies for the lack of communication over the last couple of days regarding ImRigged.

A decision has now sadly been taken to close the service. All existing members will be contacted individually over the next 24 hours and given the option of refunds where applicable or an option to switch elsewhere (with benefits).

Over the last 12 months or so the ImRigged tipster has ‘quit’ on multiple occasions, always out of the blue with no notice. Each time we have managed to talk with him, calm him down and get him back on board.

Unfortunately these ‘swings’ in mood/temperament resulted in a lack of consistency in how the service was run with constant changing from evening to morning tipster and also the type of tips offered which unsettled many current and previous members.

He insisted on offering ‘free months’ if the service didn’t hit certain targets.. then wanted to walk away when those free months were being honored.

It is most disappointing as we have stood by him through all of this hassle but eventually there comes a point where it can continue no further.

Les sent a short email instructing us that due to ‘unforeseen circumstances the service could no longer continue’. We haven’t been able to get hold of him since.

It is very sad as Les is without doubt a very capable tipster and could have built up a very fine service.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask, otherwise, we will be in touch with you all over the next 24 hours.”

So not much more we can add to that really, other than to say it happens in the world of tipping sadly. It’s a tough business to make a success of!

Anyway, this service goes in the defunct pile unfortunately. Hopefully we’ll have more luck with our upcoming reviews and they last longer than a couple of weeks…

Im Rigged – New Review

24th June 2021

We are starting a new review today of a horse racing service with the intriguing name of ImRigged.

This tipster is based at the Tipping Gurus stable and they started tipping back in August 2019.  According to the information on the Tipping Gurus website, ImRigged is a professional horse racing tipster willing to put his neck on the line every single month.

The tipster has a long history in the racing business and has fine tuned his process to what he feels are optimum levels.

The results to date back that up, with a profit of over 280 points made since starting up two years ago.

That has been achieved with an excellent return on investment (ROI) of just under 20% and a solid strike rate of 22%.

Looking at their results from a visual perspective, the profit graph shows good progress throughout:

They are coming off some good form, with a profit of £437 made last month and £493 so far this month to £10 stakes.

Selections are sent out each evening between 9 and 10pm and are generally 1pt win or 0.5pt e/w. There are around 2-3 bets per day although some days can be busier.

This looks like a promising service then so we are eager to see how they get on during our live trial. Please note we started receiving tips on 19th June so will record results from then.

As usual we will update progress here as we go along so you can see how they are getting on.

In the meantime you can check out ImRigged for yourself here.
