Tipster of the Month – June
This year we are running a new feature here at Honest Betting Reviews – our “Tipster of the Month” award.
This is where we look at the top tipsters – both those we have reviewed in the past and those we are currently reviewing – to see who’s performed most strongly over the last month.
It’s a chance to find out who is in form and has been giving the bookies a good hiding over the last month and to note any stand-out performances.
Now it’s time to look at the top tipsters for June.
Tipster of the Month – June 2021
June is arguably one of the best months of the year for sport – and June this year was particularly strong.
In football the Euros got underway and there were some cracking games to enjoy, most notably the 3-3 draws between Spain and Croatia (won in extra time by Spain 5-3) and France and Switzerland (won eventually by the Swiss on penalties.
The “Group of Death” turned out to be exactly that, as all three big teams in that group – France, Germany and Portugal – crashed out of the competition at the second hurdle. With the Netherlands also bowing out it now leaves a very open draw and perhaps to many people’s surprise, England are currently favourites with the bookies.
In the racing world, we had the highlight of the flat racing calendar with Royal Ascot and how good it was to see fans back and the all regalia of the royal meeting. On the track Frankie Dettori was once again smashing records and hot favourite Love conquered all to land the Prince of Wales stakes.
In golf it was also a big month, not least for Jon Rahm who made up for the disappointment of being forced out of the Memorial tournament due to a positive covid test whilst holding a six-shot by going on to capture the US Open just two weeks later with a stunning finish to deny perennial runner-up Louis Oosthuizen.
In terms of tipping, it was also golf that took centre stage in June as two tipsters had monster months, taking the bookies to the cleaners and delivering superb profits for their members.
3. Always Back Winners
At number three in our Tipster of the Month rankings is horse racing tipster Always Back Winners.
This is a service we originally reviewed around a year ago and gave a PASSED rating to after it amassed 105 points profit during our review. It has continued to move along nicely since our review ended, adding another 140 points profit over the following AW season.
And in June things really took off for them as they landed over 69 points profit on the month. At £25 per point stakes that is the equivalent of £1725 profit for June.
That was down in large part to a brilliant 66/1 winner in the shape of Mutadel at Hamilton which really delivered the goods for members. They also had decent winners over the month at 10/1, 6/1 and 5/1 as well as plenty of placed finishes.
Their return on investment for this flat season is now a superb 44% and that comes off an excellent 32% over the AW season.
All in all then June wasn’t just a fluke for Always Back Winners but represents another piece of great tipping from this top quality horse racing service.
2. GolfBetsGold
As we mentioned above June was really a month for the golf tipsters and one of those was the highly regarded GolfBetsGold.
This is a service we are reviewing at the moment and it has slowly been building momentum during our trial.
Well things really took off for them last month as they hit a number of winners including Harris English at the Travellers at 12/1 (in-play), big-hitting Spaniard Jon Rahm at the US Open at 10/1, Garrick Higgo at the Concession at 16/1 (in-play) and Sam Horsfield for first round leader at the Scandinavian Mixed at 28/1 (dead heat winner).
Together with a number of placed finishes, that all added up to a very tidy profit of 84 points on the month, which would be £2,100 profit at £25/point stakes – excellent going in anybody’s book.
So well done to GolfbetsGold on a terrific month of tipping and let’s hope for more of the same going forward.
1. Bookie Insiders Golf Tips
This is a service we are currently reviewing and it has been going great guns across the three types of tips it provides: outright bookmaker bets (each-way), outright Betfair Exchange bets (win-only) and Top 20 finish bets.
It was only back in April in fact that Bookie Insiders Golf Tips stormed to victory in our Tipster of the Month awards for that month.
Well they’ve only gone and done it again with an absolutely monster month of winners across the board. In just one weekend in fact they landed winners at 25/1 (Ryosuke Kinoshita), 30/1 (Chad Ramey), 5/1 (Steve Stricker), 13/2 (Viktor Hovland) and 40/1 (Harris English)! Quite incredible tipping.
Other winners on the month included Nelly Korda at 22/1, Ryosuke Kinoshita at 50/1 and Marcus Armitage at 130 (Betfair odds).
That all combined to bring home 177 points profit on the month across their three services, which would equate to £4425 profit at £25 per point stakes.
So that means Bookie Insiders Golf Tips were the runaway winners of our Tipster of the Month award for June. Big congrats again to them on a great effort.
