The Ryder Cup starts this Friday at Whistling Straits Golf Club in Kohler, Wisconsin.
It is set to be an epic showdown as Europe try to defend the trophy they won in Paris three years ago, when they triumphed by a commanding margin of 17.5-10.5.

With the US team being their strongest ever in terms of World Golf Rankings, they are deservedly favourites.
But Europe will feel buoyed by having Jon Rahm in the team, who is coming off a standout season, winning the US Open and unfortunate not to win the Memorial due to covid when six shots clear.

They will also be fired up by the return to the team of “The Postman” Ian Poulter and bolstered by stalwarts like Sergio Garcia, Rory McIlroy and Paul Casey. Europe have enjoyed coming into the event as underdogs over the years and that will certainly be the case this time.
