Trade On Sports – Full Review

Trade On Sports (or TOS for short) is a trading platform and community that uses stats to generate both pre-match and in-play bets.

They cover a number of sports including football, tennis, cricket and US sports, but for the purposes of this review we concentrated on their football trading, whilst also monitoring their US sports bets.

Football Strategies

We ended up running a two-year review, which is one of the longest we have ever run here at Honest Betting Reviews. That gave us a chance to proof a huge number of bets (over 1500 in fact) and to monitor a number of their systems and strategies, which evolved quite a bit over the time we followed the service.

The bedrock of Trade On Sports is their stats database – known as the “Gamestate App.” This looks at inplay odds on Betfair based on goal times and current State (time/score) of the match, looking for value opportunities. In essence the app establishes what the chances of there being more goals in a game are based on past data. It then calculates what the odds should be and if there is value to be had.

Strategies are generated from this, either as alerts in their Telegram groups or for members to find themselves using the App.

The beauty of this is that you can place all your bets/trades on Betfair, so no bookies are needed. This is great news for those who have suffered bookie restrictions.

The main strategy we followed was the HT Overs Bot, which is one of the Telegram alerts and is a strategy looking for games likely to have goals in the second half. For this strategy you bet at HT that there will be one more goal (e.g. it is 1-0 then you back over 1.5 goals) at odds of 1.6, which are normally hit around the 70th minute.

The HT Overs Bot performed very well during our trial, notching up £5,120 profit to £100 stakes – or 51.2 points profit. Ironically though it actually suffered badly after the covid break and TOS no longer recommend following it, until crowds return at least.

In the meantime they have developed a number of new strategies, one of which is taking the opposite approach and backing unders at half-time. This is for two goals ahead, so for example if it is 1-1 at HT you back under 3.5 goals. That made 23 points profit during the six months we followed it, which is good stuff.

The Trade On Sports team have also introduced some new football strategies more recently which we will continue to proof, but so far look promising. The “two goals ahead” strategy in particular looks encouraging with over 45 points profit made so far from around 230 bets at a return on investment (ROI) of 20%.

All in all then if you combine these strategies then the profits really start to add up and we have to say this is one of the best in-play trading services we have come across. As mentioned earlier, members can also generate their own strategies and selections from the Gamestate App. So there is really a huge amount of value there waiting to be tapped into, it just depends how much time you have available to make use of it.

In addition there is now the option to automate the strategies via BF Bot Manager (which is an extra subscription cost on top, plus you will need a VPS unless you want your PC running all day and night) so if you’re really pressed for time you can just set those up and let them run in the background. It’s pretty impressive how far TOS has come since we started this review!

All of the Game State App strategies are available with TOS’s Silver Football membership, whilst the Gold also includes their pre-match trading app which we didn’t fully proof results of but looked pretty useful.

Ratings & Bets Membership

The other aspect of the service we took a look at was their ratings and bets in football and other sports, notably American sports.

These are just straight-up normal bets to be placed before the event rather than in-play bets/trades. They performed very well too, generating the following returns:-

  • – NFL bets: 327 Bets: staked 327 Pts, +72.12 pts, 22.05% ROI
  • – NHL: 186 Bets: Staked 152.79 pts, +16.57 pts, 10.84% ROI
  • – MLB: 126 Bets: Staked 82.32 pts, +16.77 pts, 20.37% ROI
  • – Football: 662 Bets: Staked 662 pts, +27.28 pts, 4.12% ROI

So we think well worth adding those bets to your subscription, either separately or as part of the Platinum membership option.

Tennis Membership

Unfortunately we didn’t get to take a thorough look at the tennis membership or proof the bets/trades, but looking at the official results since they started shows a profit of around 85 points.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: After you sign up you are able to log in to the TOS members section where you get access to the Gamestate Application and links to the Telegram channels where the alerts are posted. If you turn notifications on you will then get an alert to your phone or desktop when there is an in-play bet to place.

The pre-match bets are sent by e-mail and Telegram as well like normal tips.

Availability of prices: The only football strategy where we noticed any difficulty in getting the advised prices was the unders, which is understandable as on smaller leagues there isn’t great liquidity and lots of people wanting to get on unders will push its price down. So on those alerts we tended to get a tick or two lower on average than the advised price. As the other alerts are for backing overs, the price is moving out with time decay anyway so there was less of an issue.

With the HT Overs Bot you can set it to match at 1.6 or a price-point around that. We found that drip backing overs at 1.6, 1.75, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.5 worked very well as there are lots of games with late goals.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the HT Overs Bot was 67% which is pretty good as the implied chances of 1.6 are 62.5%, meaning they had an edge over the market.

Advised Betting Bank: We used a 40 point bank for the HT Overs Bot but a 50 point bank could be used if you wanted to be on the safe side. Either way though the banks would never have been in danger at any stage of our trial.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs vary depending on which package you wish to go for. The Football Silver package, which includes the in-play football strategies, costs £25 per month where as the Football Gold Package which includes pre-match modules costs £39.95 per month. The ratings and bets are £14.99 per month whilst the complete package containing everything (Platinum) is £44.95 per month.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

Trade On Sports is an innovative betting and trading service covering a range of sports. For the purpose of this review we concentrated on their football strategies, but also monitored their bets for US Sports.

The main football HT Overs Bot made over £5,000 profit to £100 stakes which is impressive, although it is currently on hold for the moment pending the return of fans to football matches. They have a number of other promising strategies though including their Unders Bot which made 23 points profit for our trial.

The US Sports bets have also performed very well, generating in excess of 100 points profit in total.

We therefore have no hesitation in awarding Trade On Sports a PASSED rating. It is one of the best – and very few – services we have found that has demonstrated an ability to make a profit from in-play markets on Betfair and for that alone it is definitely worth adding to your portfolio.

Trade On Sports – Results Update

31st August 2020

It’s been a struggle lately for the Trade On Sports HT Overs Bot, with a loss of £580 made since our last update.

With the substantial profits made previously however, it is still £5,520 up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Fortunately the HT Unders Bot (results available in the second tab of our spreadsheet) has been picking up the slack, adding 15 points profit since our last update and sitting 22 points up for our trial overall. So that would be £2,200 profit at £100 stakes.

It is worth noting with the Unders Bot however that it is normally tough to match the advised odds, even if clicking through to the market immediately after the alert is sent and usually you have to take 2-3 ticks lower than the quoted odds. Even taking that into account though it only makes a couple of points difference to the overall results so you would still be well ahead.

We mentioned last time getting the automation set up but unfortunately that has proved a little trickier than expected. Hopefully we will get this set up in time for our next update.

Trade On Sports – Results Update

31st August 2020

It’s been a bit of a step backwards for Trade On Sports HT Overs Bot this month, with a loss of £360 recorded to £100 stakes since our last update.

With the excellent profits made previously however the Bot is still £6,100 up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

The HT Unders Bot has also struggled a little with 2 points lost since our last update but it is still 7 points up for our trial overall (results are in the second tab of the spreadsheet above).

The good news is that automation for TOS strategies is now available, so we are just in the process of setting that up. It involves an additional subscription to BF Bot Manager (although there is a free trial if you haven’t used it before) and you will need a VPS if you want it to operate 24/7 without having to leave your computer on all the time.

Anyway, we will report back more on how the automation works and how it is going in our next update.

Trade On Sports – Results Update

31st July 2020

It’s been a better last few weeks for the Trade On Sports HT Overs Bot, with a profit of £220 made since our last update.

That means the Bot is now £6,460 up for our trial overall to £100 stakes.

You can view full results here.

A bit of a step backwards for the HT Unders Bot however which has lost 3 points since our last update but sits 9 points up for our trial overall (results are in the second tab of the spreadsheet above).

We are eagerly awaiting the automation option which should be available soon we understand.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Trade On Sports – Results Update

9th July 2020

A small loss of £120 for the Trade on Sports HT Overs Bot since our last update a month ago.

With the previous gains however the Bot is still £6,240 up for our trial overall.

You can view full results for this here.

We are also monitoring the new Lay Overs Bot, which involves laying the overs for two goals ahead at HT – e.g. if the score is 1-0 at HT, you lay over 2.5 goals (effectively you are backing the unders).

So far this system is 12 points up since starting up in late May. You can see the results in the second tab of our spreadsheet. The alerts are only for the 1-0 and 1-1 scorelines and ignore early goals.

It is often a challenge to get the advised prices for these alerts though as the odds normally move a few ticks instantly, so we will endeavour to record the prices we actually get rather than the advised prices to give a fair indication of achievable results.

Either way though this new Lay Overs Bot is looking promising and would be great to have another tool in the TOS amoury.

Trade On Sports – Results Update

10th June 2020

A slight step backwards for Trade on Sports’ HT Overs Bot over the past couple of months, with a loss of £260 made since our last update.

With the excellent previous results however, they are still £6,360 up for our trial overall.

You can view full results for this here.

Automated trading of the bot via BF Bot Manager is due to be available by July, so we look forward to that being set up.

Just a reminder that the HT Overs Bot is available with the Silver Football membership.

There is a lot more besides just the bot with Trade on Sports across their various memberships however, including:-

  • – Tennis lay bets that have made +84.93 pts with an 8.89% Return on Investment
  • – NFL bets: 327 Bets: staked 327 Pts, +72.12 pts, 22.05% ROI
  • – NHL: 186 Bets: Staked 152.79 pts, +16.57 pts, 10.84% ROI
  • – MLB: 126 Bets: Staked 82.32 pts, +16.77 pts, 20.37% ROI
  • – Football: 662 Bets: Staked 662 pts, +27.28 pts, 4.12% ROI

You can check out TOS’s full prospectus here.

With more football leagues coming back all the time there will be lots more action for TOS now and hopefully the Bot will pick up the pace again.

Trade On Sports – Results Update

10th April 2020

Just a small gain for Trade on Sports’ HT Overs Bot recently, with a profit of £80 made since our last update a month ago.

That means the Bot is now £6,600 up for our trial overall.

You can view full results for this here.

There have been no selections since 11th March with football having stopped obviously. There are reports of some European leagues planning restarts in May/June, which would be great if true but we will wait and see. The Premier League clubs would apparently lose £750m in revenue by not finishing the season so will obviously be doing everything they can to complete the season, presuming they can do so safely of course.

What joy and excitement there will be when football finally does return though, whenever that ends up being!

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Trade On Sports – Results Update

4th March 2020

Another quiet month for Trade on Sports, with a loss of £40 made to £100 stakes since our last update.

That means the Bot is now £6,520 up for our trial overall at £100 stakes.

You can view full results for this here.

We are awaiting news of the automation which would be a very welcome addition to the service and make things easier for subscribers.

In the meantime let’s hope things kick on this month and we make some decent profits.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Trade On Sports – Results Update

5th February 2020

A quiet month for the Trade On Sports HT Overs Bot, with a small loss of £120 made to £100 stakes since our last update.

With the previous gains made however, the Bot is still £6,560 up for our trial overall to £100 stakes.

You can view full results for this here.

(Please note signing up to the Silver football membership will give you access to the HT Overs Bot, plus other features).

There are some very exciting developments going on aswell, with the Trade on Sports team looking at automating the Bot selections – and the tennis bets – via BF Bot Manager.

If that works it would be a great addition to the service in terms of both saving time and making sure you don’t miss any alerts, as they can come in at all times of day and night. They are aiming to have a live version available in early March so watch this space.

We mentioned last time about the pre-match trading alerts and those are now coming through. Basically they alert you to where the odds of a team may drift or come in a few ticks before kick-off. We haven’t been able to track these alerts unfortunately as a large number come in, again at all different times.

However, it is worth bearing in mind if you are going to follow them that you need a pretty big bank as trading £100 for each game for example would only give you a few quid profit per trade, so to make it worthwhile (or comparable to profits from the HT Overs Bot at least), you would probably need to stake around £1,000+ per game. And if there are a few alerts coming in at around the same time, then clearly you need a decent amount available in your Betfair account to cover them all.

If you are going to follow the pre-match trades, whatever you do make sure you don’t allow your bet to go in-play! The last thing you would want is to risk losing the whole stake for the sake of £10-£20 profit.

Anyway, good to see lots of new developments happening with Trade On Sports and things are looking very positive for the future.

Trade On Sports – Results Update

6th January 2020

The Trade On Sports HT Overs Bot finished 2019 in style, adding another £660 profit since our last update a month ago.

That means the Bot is now £6,680 up to £100 stakes for our trial overall.

You can view full results for this here.

As you may have seen, Trade On Sports scooped the award for Best (Other) Sports Service 2019 in our recent Members’ Choice Awards and the HT Overs Bot has been the bedrock of their success.

However, there are quite a few other elements to Trade On Sports’ service, including a pre-match trading tool which is about to start sending alerts for matches to trade (like the HT Bot), other football trading alerts, tennis trades and tips for US Sports. We haven’t been able to track the results for all of these as have been concentrating on the HT Overs Bot but we are sure these elements all offer value as well.

As we say the pre-match trading alerts are due to be introduced shortly so hopefully we will be able to include news on those in our next update.

Trade On Sports – Results Update

4th December 2019

Trade on Sports’ HT Overs Bot bounced back in tremendous fashion in November, amassing just under £1,000 profit since our last update.

That means the Bot is now £6,020 up to £100 stakes for our trial overall (or 60 points up to 1 point level stakes).

You can view full results for this here.

The last couple of months have been very instructive as to the value of adopting a long-term mindset in betting. In October there was a drawdown of £760 at one point which was tough to take, particularly if you had just joined the service. There was a drop-off in memberships at that point as some people obviously could not handle the losing streak and gave up.

However, those who stuck around were richly rewarded as things got back to winning ways in November, with those losses more than recouped and more profits made so far in December.

The service has proved itself conclusively with over a year’s proofed results in our review comprising over 850 trades. Inevitably there will be occasional losing streaks as with any system but if you can adopt a long-term mindset and learn to handle the drawdowns the rewards have been tremendous.

One thing to ask yourself if you are getting really anxious and upset during a drawdown is whether you are staking too much money on each selection. A run of 5-10 losers in the course of a couple of weeks is possible – indeed likely – in just about any system and if you staking sensibly it should not bother you at all.

For our part we would recommend a 30-50 point bank if following the service, so for example if you have a £1,000 starting bank that would mean risking £33.33 per trade if operating on a 30-point basis.

As we say, with sensible staking like this a few losers now and then should be water off a duck’s back and not bother you at all.

Another possible approach would be to stake a fixed percentage of your bank on each selection, e.g. 2-3%. We haven’t crunched the numbers on this but expect you would now be sitting on an extremely tidy profit, well above the amount for level staking we have used for our review.

Anyway, just a few thoughts from us on how to approach things but the main point is that results have been excellent for this service and the odd drawdown now and then is to be expected and successful traders/gamblers don’t let it affect them.

Trade On Sports – Results Update

1st November 2019

It’s been a rare losing month for Trade on Sports‘ HT Overs Bot, with 4 points lost since our last update.

With the positive results previously, they are still 51 points up for our trial overall (or £5,080 up using £100 flat stakes).

You can view full results for this here.

As we say, it’s rare for the Bot to have a losing month so it’s come as a bit of a shock for members, but a reminder that having a large enough starting bank to withstand the losing runs and some patience is important when following any system.

They recommend a £5,000 bank if you are betting at £100 stakes so in that context if you joined at the start of October although you would be over £400 down that would still represent less than 10% of the bank which is a small amount in the grand scheme of things.

Anyway, let’s hope October was just a blip and they’ll be back to winning ways in November.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Trade On Sports – Results Update

1st October 2019

Yet another good month for Trade on Sports’ HT Overs Bot, with an additional 6 points profit (or £640 profit to £100 stakes) made since our last update.

That means they are now 55 points up for our trial overall (or £5,520 up using £100 flat stakes).

You can view full results for this here.

We have now been following the HT Overs Bot for a full year and the results have been excellent. We often say the holy grail of betting is consistency and the Bot has demonstrated remarkable consistency over the past year, steadily churning out the profits month after month. You can’t ask for much more really, with over five grand profit made from £100 stakes. It is one of the best footy betting/trading tools we have come across in some time.

Last time we mentioned the pre-match trading tool. We have followed a few of the live webinars with Pete which have been interesting, although there are a very low number of trades indicated from them – often just one or two, which isn’t really enough action in itself. Those with the time to use the tool themselves could find more trades of course, but it would be good if this could be turned into an alert service as well given that it works so well for the HT Overs Bot.

We will see what other things the team at Trade on Sports develop in the coming months, as it’s really a treasure trove of information and we feel the more of it they can automate for members the better.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Trade On Sports – Results Update

2nd September 2019

It’s been another good month for Trade on Sports’ HT Overs Bot, with an additional 6 points profit made since our last update.

That means the Bot is now 49 points up for our trial overall (or £4,880 up to £100 stakes).

You can view full results for this here.

Although the overall results were very good, it was actually a very up and down month with a run of seven consecutive losers early on in the month – the most the bot has had since starting up – followed by 12 straight winners. There was then another bad run over the weekend which just dragged the results down a bit unfortunately.

Overall though you have to say the results have been excellent with nearly £5,000 profit made since we started following the bot.

Some people have asked about the Quick Response bot but our analysis suggests it is not profitable to lay the draw with. It might be profitable to use it in the same way as the HT Overs Bot (i.e. backing another goal at 1.6), but there isn’t enough data on that to draw any conclusions yet.

We are also starting to investigating their pre-match trading tool which looks quite interesting so will report more on that in our next update.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Trade On Sports – Results Update

3rd August 2019

It’s been an excellent month for Trade On Sports’ HT Overs Bot, with another 9 point profit made since our last update.

That means they are now 43 points up for our trial overall (or £4,280 up at £100 stakes).

You can view full results for this here.

These results are based on odds of 1.6 at 65 minutes, although the average seems to have been trending a little lower than that lately, but either way the results have been very good and solidly consistent throughout our trial.

With a high strike rate of 72%, this is proving to be a top system for betting on football in-play and long may it continue.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Trade On Sports – Results Update

2nd July 2019

It’s been a quiet month for the Trade On Sports Overs Bot, not surprisingly with very little football on at the moment.

Since our last update the bot has made just one point profit, putting it 34 points up for our trial overall (or £3,440 up to £100 stakes).

You can view full results for this here.

As mentioned last time, the odds of overs in a number of the games selected by the bot is quite low these days, often around 1.16 at HT, meaning by 65 mins (when entering the bet) the odds are often lower than 1.6.

So whilst we have been using average odds of 1.6 to record results, the actual average may be closer to 1.55, which would mean the total profit for the bot during our trial would be around 25 points. Either way though that is still a very nice amount of profit with such a high strike rate (around 70%) so you can’t complain.

Of the other bots they are testing, the HT 2 Ahead looks the most promising from what we can tell, with around 26 points profit made so far if backing two more goals at 61 minutes.

Trade On Sports have some live webinars planned soon to demonstrate some of their live trading and explain how some of the tools on their platform work, so those should be interesting.

We will report back on how they go, together with how the bots are doing, in our next update.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Trade On Sports – Results Update

5th June 2019

It’s been an excellent month for the Trade On Sports Overs Bot since our last update, with another 9 points profit made.

That means the bot is now an estimated* 33 points up for our trial overall (or £3,320 to £100 stakes).

You can view full results for this here.

*We say “estimated” because essentially we are using a best guess of what the average odds of over 1.5 goals at 65 minutes are in the selected matches.

As alerts come in at all times of day and night it has not been possible to track the odds live, so we have had to do our best to estimate what that average odds would be.

Up until now we have assumed 1.6, but after tracking more of the odds live lately we believe the average may be closer to 1.55.

There are a number of Dutch matches and selections from high-scoring leagues where the odds are quite a bit below 1.6 at 65 minutes.

So if you took the average odds at 65 minutes to be 1.55 then the overall results would be 24 points up rather than 33.

That is still very good going whichever way you look at it though and with the high strike rate of around 70% this has been a very consistent and impressive performer.

Some people take a different approach and just request odds of 1.6 and then leave the bet to either be matched or not, which would mean some of the results recorded as winners on our spreadsheet would not have been matched – and conversely some recorded as voided would have been winners. Overall it would probably even itself out so we doubt the results would be very different doing it that way.

Anyway, they have also been testing some additional bots which have recorded some very promising results so we expect them to go live shortly.

Their bots operate in the Summer leagues as well so there are still alerts coming through, although of course not as many as during the main season as there are fewer fixtures.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Trade On Sports – Results Update

3rd May 2019

More profits for Trade on Sports’ main Overs Bot, with another 2 points profit made since our last update a month ago.

That means the Overs Bot is now 24 points up (or £2,360 up to £100 stakes) for our trial overall.*

You can view full results for this here.

The results on our spreadsheet are for backing the bot’s selections at 65 mins at average odds of 1.6, although there are other ways you could trade the selections (e.g. dripping them at 45, 60 and 75 mins). Some members have studied the different ways of following the bot and it appears the option we have recorded of backing at 65 mins is the most profitable.

There are also some other bots in beta mode which are showing a lot of promise, one which is over 50 points up and another two which are more than 20 points up each, so these are looking very good indeed.

Just to clarify that with the “bots” they have developed you still have to place the bets yourself, it is just that the bots are scanning the markets to find the opportunities.

Perhaps at some stage in the future they will have an auto-trade option, but for the time being you get the live alerts via the Telegram messenger app, which is straightforward to set up and follow, and then place the bets yourself.

All in all then we are really liking the look of Trade On Sports so far and think this is a very promising service.

*Correction – please note this previously stated the total profit was 25 points but there were a couple of errors in our spreadsheet that have now been corrected.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Trade On Sports – Results Update

4th April 2019

We have been taking a look at Trade On Sports for a while now and there is a lot to take in about the service.

They have a whole variety of features you can use, including:

  • – Stats Databases
  • – Chat Rooms
  • – Bets in a variety of sports including tennis, NHL, NBA and more
  • – Live in-play alerts for football
  • – Prematch to inplay stats
  • – And more besides

It can be a little overwhelming at first and difficult to know where to start.

However, the main feature at the moment in our opinion is their live “GameState Bot” which gives alerts at HT in football matches where it expects at least one more goal.

This has been operating since the start of October and has made substantial profit since starting up.

There are different ways you can follow the alerts, but it seems the most profitable is to put in a bet at the next goal up (so if it is 1-0 at HT, to back over 1.5 goals) at odds of 1.6, which on average gets matched at around the 65th minute if there are no goals up to that point.

Following this method has produced over 22 points profit (or £2200 to £100 flat stakes), which is pretty good going.

You can view full results for this here.

They have a number of other bots in live beta testing which are showing promise. One in particular involves betting that there will be at least one first half goal and has already amassed over 50 points profit.

There are also tennis bets sent out each day for players to lay and back and these are around 15 points up for the year so far.

Overall then we have been quite impressed with Trade On Sports so far. The TOS Gamestate Bot has delivered very good profits so far and there is lots of potential in their other strategies under development.

It still feels a little like a work in progress rather than the finished article, but the service certainly seems to be going in the right direction.

Trade On Sports – New Review

25th February 2019

Recently we have been spending more time looking at trading services rather than just tipsters and betting systems.

That’s because increasingly we are seeing that trading offers some advantages over traditional forms of betting.

Firstly, trading normally involves using the exchanges rather than the bookies, thus offering an attractive option for those who have had their bookie accounts restricted.

Secondly, with pre-event betting it can be difficult to find an edge with markets being so efficient these days. But once you go in-running, events can unfold in fast and unpredictable ways, offering the potential for the shrewd trader to find value by reacting quickly to how things are changing.

Thirdly – and in a related way – prices can fluctuate wildly in-running, meaning there is the potential to capitalise on these swings and make a decent profit from well-executed trades.

So with those advantages in mind we are looking at a relatively new but promising trading service called Trade On Sports.

The site is co-run by the respected Pete Nordsted, who some of you may know from his previous ventures including Premier Betting and numerous books on gambling he has published.

Together with some professional traders Pete has put together a range of resources for sports trading.

At the moment Trade on Sports covers 3 services:

• Trade on Tennis
• Trade on Football
• Ratings & Bets

You can join each service separately or you can join the Platinum service and receive everything. As a member you get access to a wealth of data and statistics via their apps, chat groups on Telegram and alerts for in-play trades on the relevant sports covered.

We have been following the service in a personal capacity for a while so decided it was about time we got a formal review going to record some of our findings and results.

Apparently they have some new software in the works for tennis trading so hopefully that will be available soon.

In the meantime though there is lots for us to get our teeth stuck into for the purposes of the review.

We will report back here soon with our initial findings on the trading services on offer and results achieved.

In the meantime you can check out Trade On Sports here.

Back Lucrative  – Full Review

Back Lucrative is a long-running horse racing service operated by a professional gambler called Michael Carr. We originally took a look at the service way back in 2015 and have kept an eye on it ever since. It had been closed to new members for quite a while but recently reopened, giving us a chance to run a new review.

Michael who runs the service is a well-known figure in the racing world having produced a number of informative guides and videos on gambling and how he has achieved his own success in the field.

Back Lucrative is a very successful service, having been running since 2013 and amassing over 1500 points profit in that time, including making a profit every year.

With such a strong reputation, you are always a bit worried the review will be a jinx and things will all go pear-shaped.

Well fortunately this time we weren’t a jinx on the service and it performed very well, netting 105 points profit at advised prices across its two strategies.

However, the two strategies – the Value Bets and Banker Bets – performed so differently during our review that we thought it would be useful in this instance to give the results separately.

So looking at them individually, the Value Bets made an excellent 180 points profit whilst the Banker Bets sadly lost 75 points (both at advised prices).

So really it was chalk and cheese between the two strategies.

Looking at the Value Bets first, these are one-point each-way bets looking for value (obviously!) in the market, usually at high odds. They still managed a good strike rate of 31% (including placed horses) even though they are focused on higher-odds selections. And of course with 180 points profit they performed superbly, almost doubling the recommended 200 point betting bank.

The return on investment was also good at 15%, so all in all we were highly impressed with Back Lucrative’s Value Bets.

The only negative we could see is that the Betfair SP results were a long way behind the advised prices and actually made a loss of 2 points in the end.

Such a big difference between the advised prices and BSP results is not something we see very often and may be down in part to the popularity of Back Lucrative, which as you can imagine with over 1500 points profit made in 7 years has a large and loyal following.

The bottom line is that if you want to follow the service you will need access to bookie accounts because you will struggle to make a profit using Betfair.

Turning to the Banker Bets, there isn’t too much that needs to be said really but a loss of 75 points is obviously disappointing and we’re not sure why there was such a discrepancy between the two strategies. The vast majority of the Banker bets are at odds of between 3.0 and 6.0, so perhaps Michael just struggles to find value at this lower odds band.

Either way we wouldn’t be surprised at all if members were betting solely on the Value Bets and if so we certainly wouldn’t blame them.

So how to sum up? Well overall we are definitely happy to award the service a PASSED rating. Even if you followed both strategies you still would have finished with over 100 points profits which is very good going. And if you had followed just the Value Bets then 180 points profit would have been made at advised prices.

So whichever way the tips are followed the results produced strong returns and given the long history of over seven years of profit this has to rank as one of the best horse racing services out there. We would recommend grabbing a place whilst the doors are still open.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are accessed by logging into the Back Lucrative website and the selections are normally available by 10am UK time. With an average of just 3 bets per day per strategy it’s relatively straightforward to follow the service.

Availability of prices: Prices get hit quite considerably, which is not surprising given the popularity of the service but means you will need access to a good number of bookie accounts and to act quickly once tips are posted. As mentioned above, the Betfair SP results actually finished in deficit which helps to demonstrate the value being found early.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 31% (including placed horses) for the Value Bets and 21% for the Banker Bets, which is solid and certainly for the Value Bets is impressive given that it tends to go for horses at longer odds.

Advised Betting Bank: A 200 point bank is recommended for following each strategy, which seems more than sufficient to us.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are £1 for the first 7 days then £37 per month or £297 per year. This covers both the Value Bets and Banker Bets, which are not available as separate subscriptions currently.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

This was very much a “Tale of Two Strategies” for Back Lucrative, which is a horse racing service that has two separate betting strategies it employs. One of the strategies, the Value Bets, really hosed up by making 180 points profit whilst the other strategy, the Banker Bets, rather fell at the first, losing 75 points

Overall though that’s still 105 points profit and given the consistency of the service over the years, which we first started following way back in 2015, it’s a definite PASSED rating from us.

Given the overall profits made over the years and during our trial, we consider this one of the premier horse racing services out there and deserving of its high reputation. Grab a place whilst you still can.

Back Lucrative – Results Update

3rd August 2020

It’s been another good month for horse racing service Back Lucrative, with 44 points profit made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 117 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

It remains something of a mixed picture however, with their Value Bets 133 points up, while their Banker Bets are 16 points down. It has been a much better month for the Banker Bets however with a profit of 39 points made.

You can view full results here. (please note there are two tabs on the spreadsheet for both sets of results).

At Betfair SP the Value Bets are 22 points up whilst the Banker Bets are 18 points down, giving a total for our trial of +4 points. So it looks like this is a service where you need bookie accounts really to make it worthwhile.

Anyway, we’ll be looking to wrap up this review shortly and unless something dramatic happens it is heading for a clear passed rating.

Back Lucrative – Results Update

3rd August 2020

A small profit for horse racing service Back Lucrative over the last month, with 8 points profit made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 73 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

It remains a very mixed picture however, with their Value Bets 128 points up, while their Banker Bets are 55 points down

You can view full results here. (please note there are two tabs on the spreadsheet for both sets of results).

At Betfair SP the Value Bets are 23 points up whilst the Banker Bets are 65 points down, giving a total for our trial of -42 points.

So at the moment it looks like this is a service you need bookmaker accounts for to get the most out of it. If you have bookie accounts then the results for the Value Bets have been strong and are living up to the pre-trial billing.

Back Lucrative – Results Update

6th July 2020

Horse racing service Back Lucrative has bounced back nicely following the covid break, making a profit of 105 points at advised prices since our last update back in April.

That means they are now 65 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

It has been a mixed picture however, with their Value Bets actually being 129 points up, while their Banker Bets are 64 points down

You can view full results here. (please note there are two tabs on the spreadsheet for both sets of results).

At Betfair SP the Value Bets are 48 points up whilst the Banker Bets are 65 points down, giving a total for our trial of -17 points.

So it looks at the moment that the BSP results are falling quite a bit behind the advised prices.

Anyway, good to see the improvement for Back Lucrative since racing resumed, let’s hope it continues.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Back Lucrative – Results Update

8th April 2020

It’s been a tough start to our re-review of horse racing tipster Back Lucrative, with a loss of 40 points made at advised prices since our trial recommenced at the end of January.

It has been a mixed picture however, with their Value Bets actually being 18 points up, while their Banker Bets are 58 points down

You can view full results here. (please note there are two tabs on the spreadsheet for both sets of results).

At Betfair SP the story is a little worse, with 62 points lost for our re-review so far (with the Value Bets 1 point up and the Banker Bets 63 points down).

Obviously with racing suspended there are no selections for the time being. The latest from UK racing is that the early season classics – 1,000 Guineas, 2,000 Guineas and Derby – have been postponed until further notice. There are still plans for Royal Ascot to go ahead, with the Queen’s course making plans to hold races behind closed doors but they are dependent on the government allowing it to go ahead, so at the moment it’s up in the air as to whether that happens.

Anyway, whenever racing does get going again let’s hope things pick up for Back Lucrative.

Back Lucrative Re-Review

30th January 2020

Today we are going to take another look at a service we originally reviewed way back in 2015 and that is horse racing tipster Back Lucrative.

In our original three month review it made a solid 27 points profit, resulting in a neutral rating.

However, since 2015 it has gone on and produced some excellent results and demonstrated a superb level of consistency, adding another 1,000 points profit at a long-term ROI of over 12%

We often say here that longevity is the ultimate measure of a tipster’s quality and Back Lucrative have certainly demonstrated longevity in spades, having been running since 2013 and amassing over 1,600 points profit in total over that seven-year period.

The yearly totals since our original review have been as follows:-

  • 2015: +376 points profit
  • 2016: +402 points profit
  • 2017: +57 points profit
  • 2018: +120 points profit
  • 2019: +247 points profit

So as you can see pretty awesome stuff, as also demonstrated in the graph below of compounding stakes (but only compounding up to a £50 maximum):

So the bank would be up to over £60,000 now since 2013 with a maximum risk of £50 stakes.

Now with such impressive long-term results, the service has proved very, very popular as you can probably imagine and they therefore often close the service to new members for long periods.

It has been closed to new members for some time now, but they are opening it up again for a brief window so we thought it would be a good time for us to have another look at the service given its stellar long-term record.

So we will be launching a formal re-review today and will update results here during our trial. Hopefully we will see the same kind of steady, consistent growth they have generated over the last seven years.

In the meantime if you want to check Back Lucrative out for yourself you can get a 7-day trial for just £1 here.

Back Lucrative Final Review

17th June 2015

Here are the final results for our 3 month review of Back Lucrative:

Profit/loss: +27 pts (advised prices) / +9 pts (BSP)
Strike Rate: 14%
Bank Growth 13%
Cost: £7 for first 30 days then £32 / month
ROI: 5.6%
Average number of tips: 5 per day
VERDICT: NEUTRAL

You can view full results here.

Back Lucrative Final Review

So we come to the end of our review of Back Lucrative, a horse racing tipster that promises to make you “up to £1179.50 every month.”

So did it deliver us £1179.50 every month?

Sadly not quite. It made 27 points profit at advised prices over three months and 9 points profit at Betfair SP (BSP), which isn’t bad going but at £10 per point equates to £90 per month.

The trial actually started off very promisingly with over 50 points profit in March, which made us think we might be on to something special here.

But sadly April only managed to break even and May saw a loss of 20 points.

So no disasters overall and any profit a service manages to make should be welcomed.

However, following the service does require quite a bit of work. There are a large number of tips and to back them all at advised prices takes quite a bit of time. You also have to log in to the site rather than having the tips e-mailed to you, which adds to the time required.

So overall perhaps this one is worth a try – after all it did make a profit – but having made only a 13% growth in the bank over three months means it doesn’t quite merit a place on our recommended list.

Back Lucrative

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: Quite time-consuming. First you have to log in to the site rather than having the tips e-mailed to you and then there are 5 tips per day on average, so backing them all at advised prices takes a while each day.

Availability of prices: Fairly good – there was an 18 point difference between advised prices and Betfair SP, so not a massive difference over the course of 480 bets and generally you should be able to get the advised prices or close to them.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 14% so there will be some long losing runs when using this service.

Advised Betting Bank: A 200 point betting bank is advised, which seems sensible and should be more than adequate to cover the drawdowns. According to historic results, they have only had four losing months in just under two years, with the worst month being around a 20 point loss.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are fairly reasonable, at £7 for a 30 day trial, followed by £24.75 per month if you take the yearly subscription or £32 per month for the quarterly option.

OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL

Overall this one warrants a neutral rating. It made a profit which is good, but with only a 13% bank growth and 5.6% ROI over the course of 3 months and with the time involved in following the service, we feel it does not quite merit a place in our portfolio at the moment.

That is not to say it is not worth trying, but for us to recommend a system it has to be of the very highest quality and deliver good profits consistently that could provide a valuable second income.

This service didn’t quite manage that during our trial. However, if it could reproduce previous results then the rating could be upgraded, so we will keep an eye on this and update things accordingly.

Tee and Serve Tips – Full Review

Tee and Serve Tips is a golf and tennis tipster from the Betting Gods stable of tipsters. It is quite a rarity to find a service tipping in both golf and tennis – in fact this may be the first one we have reviewed. They are both quite genteel sports though and probably share quite a lot in terms of stats analysis, course/surface form etc so it’s not too surprising a combination.

The tips are provided by a chap called Chris who is a professional tennis and golf bettor. Every day (and most nights) he reviews player form, stats, betting markets and seeks out the best value golf betting and tennis betting opportunities for his members.

We began our trial not long after the service was launched on the Betting Gods platform and have followed it for a full 12 months. The service only stopped for around a month due to covid so we have around 11 months of tips and a very good sample size of over 1,000 bets.

Chris is quite a fan of multiple bets, with doubles, trebles, trixies and the like being a common feature of the service. That can provide some big winners (and did during our trial!) but also tends to produce some volatility too.

And it is this volatility that is one of the main aspects of the service to be aware of. As whilst the overall profit of 49 points for our trial was good, there were some wild swings over the 12 months we followed the tips. They went from 50 points down at one point to nearly 200 points at another, and many points inbetween!

It is probably illustrated best in the profit graph below:-

As you can see, a bit of a roller-coaster ride there! Unfortunately the form just towards the end of our trial took a rather sudden dip, but Chris has shown the ability to bounce back strongly with a few big winners so he may well do it again soon.

Really the question with this service is whether you have the stomach to cope with the big ups and downs. If you do then the results were pretty decent and you should be rewarded with a few nice-priced winners, as we saw during the review.

Overall we are happy to award the service a PASSED rating as a profit is still a profit and just under 50 points is not to be sniffed at.  As we say though, it can be a bumpy ride at times so just beware of that if you are thinking of signing up.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: There are quite a few bets with this service and a good proportion of them are multiples, plus tips come in at different times of day, which means it is a little more tricky to follow than some other services. However, we wouldn’t say it is too onerous by any means.

Availability of prices: Most of the time the prices held up well and we didn’t experience any problems in matching the advised odds on the whole.

Strike rate: The strike rate during the trial was 32%, which is good in itself, but there were some losing runs of up to 150 points, so a good deal of patience is required if following the service.

Advised Betting Bank: An 250 point bank is advised for following the service, which we think is about the right level for this service.

Subscription costs: The costs are £1.99 for the first 15 days then £37 per month.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

Tee and Serve Tips is a golf and tennis tipster who likes to go for multiple bets (doubles, trebles, trixies etc). They had a real roller-coaster trial with us, going nearly 200 points up at one stage but finished just 49 points up in the end.

So it’s a PASSED rating from us based on the overall profit achieved but beware of the potential volatility if you are thinking of signing up.

Tee and Serve Tips – Results Update

19th August 2020

It’s been a fantastic month for golf and tennis tipster Tee and Serve Tips, with a profit of 113 points made since our last update.

That means they are now 209 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

The highlight of the last month was 33/1 winner Sam Horsfield at the Hero Open, but they have had plenty of nice doubles too.

It’s quite a volatile service so you need to be prepared for the ups and downs but if you can handle that then the results to date have been very impressive and it’s been well worth it.

Tee and Serve Tips – Results Update

22nd June 2020

It’s been something of a rough patch for golf and tennis tipster Tee and Serve Tips lately, with a loss of 73 points made since our last update.

With the strong profits made previously however, they are still 96 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

They provide quite a lot of tips during golf tournaments on the two- and three-ball matchups, but unfortunately those have not done very well recently which accounts for quite a large portion of the losses.

On a more positive note, the main tennis tours are due to return soon, with the men’s ATP Tour resuming on Aug. 14 with the Citi Open and the WTA getting going again in Palermo, Italy from Aug. 3.

So hopefully with top class tennis back in action again it will herald a turnaround in fortunes for them.

Tee and Serve Tips – Results Update

22nd June 2020

Golf and tennis tipster Tee and Serve Tips continues to rack up the gains, adding another 15 points profit since our last update.

That means they are now 169 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

With the PGA Tour back up and running they are providing the regular outright, threeball and twoball tips again which is good to see, as well as continuing the tennis tips on the minor tours while we wait for the main tours to resume, which hopefully won’t be much longer now.

The results here have been very impressive and this is looking like a top tipster in the making.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Tee and Serve Tips – Results Update

3rd June 2020

Golf and tennis service Tee and Serve Tips keep acing it, if you’ll excuse the pun. Since our last update they’ve added another 65 points profit.

That means they are now an excellent 154 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

They’ve managed to amass profits recently despite having slim pickings to choose from, which is impressive stuff. The good news is that the PGA Tour returns next week at the Colonial with a stellar field lined up so that will provide some top quality action to get stuck into.

The main tennis tours aren’t due to resume until August but Tee and Serve are smashing it on the lower tours anyway so that shouldn’t be too much of an issue for them.

Tee and Serve Tips – Results Update

14th May 2020

It’s been a good run recently for golf and tennis tipster Tee and Serve Tips, with a profit of 12 points made since our last update just over a month ago.

That means they are now 89 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

After taking a break due to the corona virus on 12th March, they recommenced tipping on 20th April and have done well since then, tipping solely on the World Exhibition Tour tennis – which is pretty much the only tennis or golf going on at the moment!

However, we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer for golf to return at least, with the PGA Tour due to recommence on 11th June at the Colonial and some lower ranking events in the meantime. There is no clear date for a restart of the main tennis tours but whilst the World Exhibition Tour rolls on that is providing plenty of action for the time being.

Tee and Serve Tips – Results Update

2nd April 2020

Golf and tennis tipster Tee and Serve Tips has bounced back very well, with a profit of 77 points since our last update just over a month ago.

That means they are now 73 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

We said last time that things can turn around quickly with just one golf winner and that’s exactly what happened as they landed a tasty treble at the Oman Open at odds of 21/1, which brought in 91 points profit or £910 at £10 stakes.

With golf and tennis cancelled like just about everything else there have been no bets since 12th March and it’s anyone’s guess when those sports might resume.  News announced yesterday that Wimbledon has been cancelled altogether this year is disappointing but not surprising. Rumours that the Open is going to be cancelled or postponed have been circulating so don’t be surprised if it follows suit. Will be get any golf majors this year? Maybe the Masters in Autumn, but everything really is up in the air at the moment.

Anyway, good to see Tee and Serve Tips bouncing back here and let’s hope the good form continues when golf and tennis restart, whenever that ends up being!

Tee and Serve Tips – Results Update

27th February 2020

It’s been a very tough month for golf and tennis tipster Tee & Serve Tips, with a loss of 82 points since our last update.

Unfortunately that wipes out all their previous gains and means they are now 4 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

For people who joined in the last month it would obviously be a bitter pill to swallow, but with an advised betting bank of 250 points there is still plenty of the bank left and things can always turn around quickly with just one golf winner at decent odds.

Tee and Serve Tips – Results Update

28th December 2019

It’s been an excellent month for golf and tennis tipster Tee and Serve Tips, with 52 points profit made since our last update.

That means they are 78 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Highlights of the month so far have been Brandon Grace winning the South African Open at 12/1, which netted a nice 36 points profit and quite a few tennis doubles, including Halep and Kenin both winning their matches 2-0 today which netted another 18 points profit.

It’s quite a busy service with lots of bets (over 500 selections for our trial to date), but so far it is looking well worth the effort in following.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Tee and Serve Tips – Results Update

28th December 2019

A small gain for Tee and Serve Tips over the last month, with a profit of 4 points made since our last update at the end of November.

That means they are now 26 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

That doesn’t tell the whole story though as it was actually a very up and down month for them, as they went over 50 points down at one stage before recovering with a great run at the end thanks to Jazz Janewattanond winning the Thailand Masters and some nice threeball bets at the Australian PGA.

At the same time they were also unlucky with a run of seconds including Louis Oosthuizen, Jon Rahm and Sebastian Munoz all narrowly missing out so it could have been a much better month.

All in all though it was a profitable month so let’s see if they can kick on in 2020.

Tee and Serve Tips – Results Update

25th November 2019

It’s been a good month for golf and tennis tipster Tee and Serve Tips, with a profit of 22 points made.

That puts them 23 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

One of the interesting thing about the service is that they focus very much on the 2-0 scoreline in sets on the tennis, so they must have a system that focuses on players who tend to win matches easily.

Having said that, the tennis bets will probably be a little more scarce over the next month or so as the main season has just finished and next season doesn’t get going until the new year.

However, there will of course still be matches going on, plus there are a few golf events left to play this season so should still be some good action to get stuck into.

Tee and Serve Tips – Results Update

26th October 2019

It’s been an up and down first month of our trial of Tee and Serve Tips, a service offering both golf and tennis tips. At one stage they were 27 points down, but have recovered nicely to finish the month 1 point up.

You can view full results here.

There was a comment below that the profits have come almost entirely from golf rather than tennis. However, our calculations indicate quite an even spread between the two, although it’s certainly something to keep an eye on moving forward.

Tee and Serve Tips – New Review

26th September 2019

We are starting a new review today of one of the most promising tipsters we have seen in some time.

The published results show an average of over £800 profit per month to just £10 stakes for the last six months, which is quite incredible stuff.

With an ROI of 24% and a strike rate of 33%, the service is called “Tee and Serve Tips” and provides expert tips in golf and tennis.

Their tennis tips tend to focus on set betting, with a lot of 2-0 scorelines selected and doubles and trebles used for them. In terms of the golf they tend to concentrate on two- and three-ball betting but also have some outright tips.

Here are the monthly totals – just look at the consistency!

– April: +£1061 profit
– May: +£1040 profit
– June: +£971 profit
– July: +£770 profit
– August: +£777 profit
– September (so far): +£217 profit

Given those results the service is proving very popular. So popular in fact when they launched earlier this week, the order form actually broke the demand was so high!

Will those results hold up under a live trial? Well we’re about to find out! If they do it really would be something special.

So let’s see if they can keep serving up those profits…we will update results here regularly so you can see how things are going.

In the meantime you can check out Tee and Serve Tips for yourself here.

Cleeve Racing – Full Review

Cleeve Racing is a horse racing tipster and they have been around since 2014 online and a few years before that offline. They have a strong reputation and came into our trial with an impressive body of long-term results.

We were hopeful they would show those credentials under live trial conditions and make a tidy profit but sadly it has been a very difficult trial for them.

We followed their tips for just under 13 months – although with the covid break it was actually ten months of tips – giving a long period on which to judge the service.

After a difficult start we wanted to give them enough time to turn things around. Unfortunately though despite a very extended trial and giving them as much leeway as we could, that never really happened and they ended up with a loss of 143 points at advised prices, which represents more than the entire recommended starting bank of 100 points.

So there can be no other verdict here other than a FAILED rating sadly. For some reason their many previous seasons of consecutive profit came to a rather dramatic end this year. It does happen sometimes to even the best of tipsters, often without an obvious reason or explanation. Sometimes it’s just random variance that they hit a particularly poor run of results at some point.

Certainly the covid situation and the unpredictable form that followed it can’t have helped, but to be honest the problems were there before covid so it wouldn’t be fair to blame it on that.

All we can say is that we will keep an eye on things to see if they can turn it around, as they are a very respected tipster and their previous results over many years were impressive. Perhaps a change of approach could benefit them but we will leave it up to Cleeve as to the best way of moving forward.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are obtained by logging into the website and quite often are available the day before racing and are normally in the big races (class 2 and above).

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice a huge amount of pressure on prices during our trial and the BSP results were pretty similar to those at advised prices (-135 points at BSP versus -143 at advised prices), so you shouldn’t have too many problems matching the official results.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 24% (including placed horses) which would obviously need to improve if they were going to make a profit.

Advised Betting Bank: A 100 point bank is recommended for following the service, which was more than wiped out during our trial. We therefore think a 200 point bank would be more appropriate here.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are £10 for the first month then £40 per month.

OVERALL VERDICT: FAILED

Cleeve Racing are one of the most respected names in horse racing tipping and we had high hopes for them coming into our trial.

Sadly it turned out to be something of a disastrous trial however, with a loss of 143 points made, which represented more than the advised starting bank.

The only verdict it can be therefore is a FAILED one unfortunately. Hopefully they can turn things around and get back to winning ways again in the future.

Cleeve Racing – Results Update

20th August 2020

The struggles continue unfortunately for Cleeve Racing, with another 22 points lost at advised prices since our last update a month ago.

That means they are now 92 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP it’s a similar story, with 23 points lost since our last update and 86 points lost for our trial overall.

We have given the service plenty of time to try and turn things around but we will probably have to call it a day soon if there isn’t a dramatic reversal of fortunes in the near future.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Cleeve Racing – Results Update

17th July 2020

It was quite a long break from tipping for Cleeve Racing, with the covid break and then they took June to only advise unofficial bets, so the service got back underway properly on 4th July.

Since then however it has continued to be a struggle for them, with a loss of 14 points made to advised prices.

That means they are now 70 points down at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

It’s a similar picture at Betfair SP, although actually slightly better, with a loss of 13 points made since our last update putting them 63 points down for our trial overall.

Just a note that the free bets they offered during June made a 15 point loss, but as we say those weren’t official bets so we haven’t included them in our official trial results.

All we can say really is that we hope with the form settling down now we hope they can get back on track and move things in the right direction after what has been a tough trial for them to date.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Cleeve Racing – Results Update

23rd March 2020

It’s been a tough run for Cleeve Racing recently, with a loss of 30 points made at advised prices since our last update back in early February.

That means they are now 56 points down for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

It’s a similar picture at Betfair SP, although actually slightly better, with a loss of 11 points made since our last update putting them 50 points down for our trial overall.

It’s a shame things haven’t quite gone to plan for them during our trial thus far as Cleeve are one of the most respected names in the business and have glowing reviews elsewhere. However, it is probably just that we have been unfortunate in catching them at a bad time and hopefully things will turn around soon.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Cleeve Racing – Results Update

6th February 2020

It’s been a better time for Cleeve Racing recently, with a profit of 20 points made at advised prices since our last update a month ago.

That means they are now 26 points down for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

It is a fairly similar picture at Betfair SP, with 15 points profit made since our last update, putting them 39 points down for our trial overall at BSP.

It’s a very selective service with less than one bet per day so far, which also means it is very straightforward to follow. Let’s just hope the recent improvement continues.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Cleeve Racing – Results Update

7th January 2020

The tough run continues unfortunately for Cleeve Racing, with a further 12 points lost to advised prices since our last update a month ago.

That means they are now 46 points down to advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

It’s a pretty similar picture at Betfair SP, with another 14 points lost since our last update and 54 points lost for our trial overall.

The results so far have been a little surprising as we were expecting things to go well with this service being a very established and respected player, but it is probably just one or those lulls that all good services go through now and then and will hopefully pick up again soon.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Cleeve Racing – Results Update

5th December 2019

More losses unfortunately for Cleeve Racing, with a further 13 points lost at advised prices since our last update a month ago.

That means they are now 34 points down for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

It’s a similar story at Betfair SP, with 17 points dropped since our last update and 40 points lost for our trial overall.

Although it has been somewhat of a disappointing start to our trial, we are confident given their past record that Cleeve Racing are capable of turning this around. Just a couple of decent winners and they would be back on track.

Let’s hope that’s what we’ll be reporting in our next update.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Cleeve Racing – Results Update

5th November 2019

It’s been a tricky month for Cleeve Racing, with a loss of 18 points at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 21 points down for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

It’s a similar story at Betfair SP, with a loss of 15 points since our last update and 23 points lost for our trial overall.

With the transition from the end of the flat season to the jumps it’s been fairly quiet in terms of bets but we should see an uptick going forward as the NH racing clicks into gear.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Cleeve Racing – Results Update

8th October 2019

It’s been a quiet start to our trial of Cleeve Racing, with 3 points lost so far at advised prices after one month.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP it’s not too dissimilar, with 8 points lost for our trial so far.

It’s quite a selective approach to betting with the focus mainly on the big meetings at weekends, much like Loves Racing which we have just finished a review of. It’s an approach that appears to work well for both services and is good for the punter too as the prices tend to hold up better in the big races.

Anyway, a quiet start to our trial as we say but hopefully we will have some profits to report during our next update.

Cleeve Racing – New Review

10th September 2019

Today we are starting a review of an established and respected horse racing tipster of some considerable repute. It’s a tipster that’s been on our radar for a while and we are pleased to be able to start a review of them.

The service in question is called Cleeve Racing and they have been around for quite some time, having made a profit in 14 consecutive seasons which is quite an achievement. We often say the ultimate proof of a tipster is their longevity and Cleeve certainly seem to pass that test.

The online version of Cleeve Racing has been around since 2014 and in that time they have amassed over 540 points profit at a healthy return on investment of 17%

That has equated to just under £200 profit per month to £20 stakes which is good going over such a long period. The current flat season has been very good for them with 78 points profit made so far.

According to the Cleeve Racing website, every race analysis starts with their custom algorithm which uses 12 form factors to rate every runner in the field. Their form team then zeroes in on the top-rated runners and does an in-depth analysis under race conditions.

This approach seems to have worked very well for them as you can’t argue with the results achieved to date. As ever though we will wait to see how they do under a live trial.

If you are a fan of low-volume tipsters this will suit you as there is an average of around just one bet per day, meaning it should be an easy service to follow.

We received access to the service on 30th August so will record results from then and will record updates here as the trial goes along.

In the meantime you can check out Cleeve Racing for yourself here.

Profit/Loss:   +41 points
Strike Rate:   35%
Bank Growth:   27%

RF Racing Tips – Full Review

RF Racing Tips is a service from the Betting Gods stable of tipsters and the selections are provided by a chap called Ronan (hence the initials RF in the name of the service).

We followed the tips for a total of 8 months, although just over two months of that time was during the covid break when there was no racing so in effect it was a 6 month trial.

It’s a nice and simple service to follow, with just one or two bets per day and most are one point each-way with the occasional 2 point win bet.

The trial went pretty smoothly and at one stage Ronan was over 80 points up and really flying along. Although things tailed off somewhat in the latter part of the trial, he still finished with a very solid 41 points profit at advised prices in the end.

That was achieved at a return on investment of 10% and a decent strike rate of 35% (including placed horses).

The Betfair SP results were also good, with a profit of 27 points made, so they weren’t too far behind the results at advised prices.

All in all then it was a successful trial, with solid rather than spectacular results but we are happy to award this a PASSED rating and it’s one to keep an eye on for the future.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are sent out by e-mail, normally at around 6-7pm (UK time) the evening before racing, with an occasional tip early in the morning of racing. With an average of just 1-2 bets per day it’s straightforward to follow the service.

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice a huge amount of pressure on prices during our trial and the BSP results were pretty similar to those at advised prices, so you shouldn’t have too many problems matching the official results.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 35% (including placed horses) which is solid and means there were steady returns during our trial.

Advised Betting Bank: A 150 point bank is recommended for following the service, which seems more than sufficient to us.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are £1.99 for the first 15 days then £39 per month.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

With a decent profit of 41 points made at advised prices at a respectable return on investment of 10%, RF Racing Tips receives a PASSED rating from us and has proved to be a capable tipster after a six month trial. It’s a service with potential that we’ll be keeping an eye on for the future.

RF Racing Tips – Results Update

25th August 2020

There has been a small dip for RF Racing Tips over the last month, with 14 points dropped at advised prices since our last update.

With the previous profits however they are still 56 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

It’s a similar picture at Betfair SP with 10 points lost since our last update but 40 points profit made for our trial overall.

We have allowed some additional time for this review to take account of covid but will be looking to wrap up the trial shortly. Let’s hope they can finish with a flourish.

RF Racing Tips has got back to winning ways recently with a nice 12 points profit made at advised prices over the last month.

That means they are now 70 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP the results have been decent too with a loss of 2 points made since our last update but 48 points profit made for our trial overall.

We will be looking to complete this trial in the next month or so and unless something dramatic happens it is heading for a positive rating.

RF Racing Tips – Results Update

14th June 2020

A small step backwards for RF Racing Tips recently, with a loss of 13 points at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 58 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

It’s a similar story at Betfair SP with a loss of 8 points since our last update but 50 points profit made for our trial overall.

So a small retreat lately but we imagine it will just be a blip and they will be back to winning ways soon hopefully.

RF Racing Tips – Results Update

14th June 2020

Horse racing tipster RF Racing Tips has picked up where they left off before the covid break, with another 28 points profit made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 71 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP it has also been a positive story, with another 24 points profit made since our last update and 58 points made for our trial overall.

You get very detailed write-ups with the tips which is good to see and you can tell Ronan who provides the selections really knows his stuff. It’s certainly showing in the results so far too!

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

RF Racing Tips – Results Update

11th May 2020

RF Racing Tips was doing well before the break in racing, with a further 10 points profit added at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 43 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP they have been doing well too, with a further 14 points profit made since our last update and 34 points profit made for our trial overall.

As they only tip in UK and Irish racing there have been no selections since 23rd March. However, we all wait with bated breath for a scheduled restart date for racing. Hopefully won’t be too much longer now…

RF Racing Tips – Results Update

3rd March 2020

Our trial of RF Racing Tips has got off to a good start, with 33 points profit made so far to advised prices after just over a month.

You can view full results here.

It’s also been a good start at Betfair SP although not quite as much profit made so far, with 20 points made to BSP for our trial to date.

Nice to see a trial getting off to a positive start for a change, we will see if that continues.

RF Racing Tips – New Review

13th February 2020

Today we are starting a new trial of racing tipster from the Betting Gods platform called RF Racing Tips.

We believe the RF stands for the tipster’s initials (first name Ronan) and from the published results he looks pretty useful.

His total profit so far stands at over £1,400 to £10 stakes and that equates to £132 profit per month.

The return on investment is around the 14% mark which is more than acceptable and the strike rate is good at over 30%.

Ronan has shown a good level of consistency with 8 out of 11 months having been profitable to date.

It looks like quite a straightforward service to follow with just 1-2 bets per day and 1pt e/w or 2pt win bets in the main.

So all in all looks pretty promising but as ever let’s see how it gets on under live trial conditions.

We started receiving the tips on 25th January so will record results from then. You will be able to find results updates here as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out RF Racing Tips for yourself here.

Snowy – Final Review

We have reached the end of our ten month trial of horse racing tipster Snowy and here are the final results:-

Profit/Loss:   +174 points
Strike Rate:   29%
Bank Growth:   87%
ROI:   13%
Average number of bets:   1-2 per day
Cost:   £1.99 for 28 days then £39/month or £87.74/quarter
VERDICT:   PASSED
Rating:

Snowy – Full Review

Phillip “Snowy” Griffiths as he is known is a former postie turned pro punter…and he’s been making a living backing horses for over 15 years. He has a number of nicknames but apparently Snowy is his favourite so that’s what he calls his tipping service.

Snowy backs solely in jumps racing in the UK and Ireland. These days there is jumps action pretty much all year round although the main season runs from October through April.

Snowy had a very impressive long-term record of over 1200 points profit made prior to our trial so we were eager to get a review going to see if he could repeat those results under live trial conditions.

Once you have signed up for the service, the selections are sent by email and come with incredibly detailed write-ups – some of the most detailed we have seen in all our time reviewing tipsters – so you can tell Phillip lives and breathes horses and spends a lot of time researching his tips.

We ended up running our review for 10 months to take account of covid and then the extended layoff for National Hunt racing which only got underway again in late June.

That gave us a really good chance to look at the service and included proofing over 300 bets.

So after all that time, what were the final results for Mr Snowy?

Well we are pleased to report they were excellent, with a profit of 174 points made at advised prices for our trial. That represented nearly a doubling of the betting bank, which is always a yardstick of excellence.

The total profit equated to a very respectable return on investment (ROI) of 13% and a decent strike rate of 29% (including placed horses).

It is worth noting that staking is quite high with this service though, with bets from 1 point up to 10 points and an average stake of around 4-5 points per bet.

The selections also made a profit at Betfair SP, but not quite as much as at advised prices, with 55 points profit made for our trial overall.

All in all then it’s been a very positive extended trial for “Snowy” and we are happy to award it a PASSED rating. Highly recommended.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are normally sent by e-mail early in the morning around 9-10am (UK time) on the day of racing. With an average of just 1-2 bets per day it’s straightforward to follow the service.

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice a huge amount of pressure on prices during our trial but the advised price returns were more than treble those at BSP, so you probably need bookie accounts to get the most out of the service.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 29% (including placed horses) which is solid and we didn’t see any extended losing streaks during our trial.

Advised Betting Bank: We couldn’t see a recommended betting bank for the service but used a 200 point bank for our trial. If you wanted to be on the safe side you could opt for a 250 point bank however.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are very reasonable given the impressive results at £1.99 for the first 28 days then £39/month or £87.74/quarter.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

Snowy is a horse racing service focusing on jumps racing in the UK and Ireland. It made an impressive 174 points profit at advised prices during our extended 10 month trial.

With a solid ROI of 13% and a good strike rate of 29% we are happy to award the service a PASSED rating. The results reflect the incredibly in-depth knowledge Snowy has of jumps racing and it really comes through in his write-ups. Well worth checking out.

And the good news is you can currently get a 28 day trial of the service for just £1.99 here.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Snowy – Results Update

18th March 2020

There was an extended break from tipping for horse racing tipster Snowy as he bets solely on jumps racing and that only got back underway again in late June whereas flat racing resumed at the start of June following the covid break.

In any event, there has been a small loss of 10 points at advised prices for Snowy since our last update.

With the excellent previous results however he is still 213 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

There is something of a gap opening up with the Betfair SP results, with a loss of 32 points made since our last update and 115 points profit made for our trial overall.

So at the moment it’s looking like whilst it’s still profitable to follow the service at BSP, you would do quite a bit better using the bookies.

Anyway, let’s see if results pick up again now that there is more jumps racing for Snowy to go at.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Snowy – Results Update

18th March 2020

It’s been a fairly steady period for horse racing tipster Snowy in recent times, with a small loss of 8 points at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 223 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

It’s been a tough time lately at Betfair SP however, with a loss of 41 points made since our last update. That puts them 147 points up for our trial overall at BSP.

Obviously we are now in an extended hiatus in racing and we don’t know when the next meetings will be – the earliest possible would be 1st May. Let’s hope that’s what it turns out to be and we don’t end up with months and months without any action.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Snowy – Results Update

3rd February 2020

There’s been something of a downturn for horse racing tipster Snowy over the last month, with 55 points lost at advised prices since our last update.

However, with the excellent profits made previously, they are still 231 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP it was a slightly worse month, with 84 points lost since our last update but still a profit of 188 points made for our trial to date at BSP.

Let’s hope the last month was just a hiccup and they can get back to amassing the profits this month.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Snowy – Results Update

31st December 2019

It’s been a fantastic month for horse racing tipster Snowy, with a superb 198 points profit made at advised prices since our last update.

They managed to land a very impressive Lucky 15 bet at Ascot that returned 73 points profit, with all four horses in the bet placing.

That means they are now 286 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

The results at Betfair SP have tracked very well against the advised prices, with 186 points profit made since our last update and 272 points profit made for our trial overall.

As mentioned last time the staking is quite high so adjusted to 1 point stakes the totals would obviously be lower, but either way the results have been very impressive for Snowy so far.

That just leaves us to wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year and we look forward to providing you with many more reviews in 2020 to help you beat the bookies.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Snowy – Results Update

28th November 2019

It’s been an excellent start to our trial of horse racing tipster “Snowy,” with a profit of 88 points made so far after one month of following the selections.

You can view full results here.

Interestingly the Betfair SP results match the advised price results very closely so far, with 86 points profit made at BSP for our trial to date.

It’s worth noting that staking is quite high with this service, with most staking between 3 and 5 points, so at 1 point level stakes the totals would obviously be lower.

Anyway, good to see the positive start to our trial from Snowy.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Snowy – New Review

28th October 2019

Today we are starting a trial of a horse racing tipster known simply as “Snowy.”

Snowy is apparently a former postie turned pro punter…and he’s been making a living backing horses for over 15 years. This is his sole source of income and looking at his results it seems fair to say he’s stood the test of time.

Snowy only concentrates on jump racing. This is the code he prefers and although there is National Hunt (NH) action pretty much all year-round these days the ‘real’ jumping season has just got under way, with the main NH campaign running from around October through till April. Don’t worry though, Snowy still provides tips the rest of the year so there is no down period for his service.

Looking at the results, they appear to be very strong since going live in April 2016:

+1285.26 POINTS BANKED SINCE LAUNCH IN APRIL 2016
+221.61 POINTS BANKED SINCE 1st Oct 2019 (till 25th Oct 19)
+455 POINTS BANKED DURING THE MAIN 2017/18 JUMPS SEASON
+142 POINTS BANKED DURING THE MAIN 2018/19 JUMPS SEASON
+219 POINTS DURING THE LAST THREE CHELTENHAM FESTIVALS (2017, 2018 & 2019)

And he’s just come off landing a 14/1 and 9/2 double on Thursday so is in red hot form at the moment.

There are 7-10 bets per week and tips are normally delivered by by 10.30 in the morning for the day’s racing.

You can get a 14-day trial of the service for just £1.99 which is a good way of taking it for a test drive before deciding if it’s for you.

All in all then this looks like a very promising service and we are looking forward to getting stuck into this one just as the jumps season kicks into gear.

We started receiving tips on 22nd October so will record results from then. We will update progress here regularly so ou can see how things are going.

In the meantime you can check out Snowy for yourself here.

Always Back Winners – Final Review

We have reached the end of our nine month trial of Always Back Winners and here are the final results:-

Profit/Loss:   +105 points
Strike Rate:   42%
Bank Growth:   105%
ROI:   21%
Average number of bets:   1-2 per day
Cost:   £25 per month or £120 for 6 months

Always Back Winners – Full Review

Always Back Winners is a horse racing service that specialises in the Class 3, 4 & 5 races where gambling stables like a touch or where improving horses can be ‘under the radar.’

They had very good long term results published on their website prior to our review so we were looking forward to seeing how it performed in our live trial.

We ended up following the service for nine months, although three of those were over the covid break so effectively it was about a six month trial in terms of active racing/tipping.

Tips are published on their website and you can get an e-mail when the tips are ready so you can log in and check them out. There are an average of 1-2 bets per day which makes it very manageable to follow.

At the end of our extended trial we are pleased to say that the service performed very well, notching an excellent 105 points profit at a more-than-respectable return on investment of 21%

The strike was good at over 40% (including placed horses) so there was a steady stream of returns during our trial.

As you can see from the graph below it was solid progress throughout the trial and they were never in deficit:

Plus there was a really nice end to the trial with three winners in a row!

The bank we used of 100 points more than doubled during our trial which is excellent work for six months betting and just under 250 bets.

The Betfair SP results were also good, with 52 points profit made during our trial, so almost exactly half of the advised price results.

All in all then we are pleased to say the Always Back Winners has very much lived up to its name and PASSED our trial with flying colours! A top notch service and well worth adding to your portfolio.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are posted on their website (with e-mail notification) usually early in the morning around 8-9am (UK time) on the day of racing. With an average of just 1-2 bets per day it’s straightforward to follow the service.

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice a huge amount of instant pressure on prices during our trial but the advised price returns were more than double those at BSP, so it is worth taking early prices if you can as the selections tend to get backed during the day.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 42% (including placed horses) which is pretty decent and meant a fairly steady stream of returns during our trial.

Advised Betting Bank: They recommend using between 1.25% and 2.5% EW of the available bank on each selection, which would equate to a 40-80 point bank. However to be on the safe side we would think a 100 point bank would be more sensible and that is what we used for this trial.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are very reasonable given the excellent results at £25 per month or £120 for 6 months.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

Horse racing service Always Back Winners certainly lived up to its name during our extended nine month trial and delivered an excellent 105 points profit at advised prices and 52 points profit at BSP.

That was achieved with a return on investment of 21% and represented a more than doubling of the betting bank which is a superb effort.

We are more than happy to award this service a PASSED rating therefore and would say it’s well worth adding to your portfolio.

Always Back Winners – Results Update

14th July 2020

Horse racing service Always Back Winners has been in sparkling form, racking up another 42 points profit at advised prices since our last update just under a month ago.

That means they have now broken through the magic one hundred point barrier for our trial overall, going exactly 100 points up at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP the story is also positive although not quite as good as at advised prices, with another 41 points profit made since our last update and 59 points profit made for our trial overall.

As mentioned before this is a selective service with just one or two bets per day making it very easy to follow and with results like these there’s lots to like about it.

Always Back Winners – Results Update

18th June 2020

Horse racing tipster Always Back Winners has got back in action following the restart of racing and has got back to winning ways too, with 9 points profit made at advised prices since racing resumed.

That means they are now 58 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP they haven’t done quite as well but are still ahead, with 5 points profit made since our last update and 18 points profit made for our trial overall.

They have been taking quite a selective approach with just a few bets advised since racing resumed, which seems like a sensible approach to give the form a chance to settle down.

Always Back Winners – Results Update

24th March 2020

A small dip in form for horse racing service Always Back Winners recently, with a loss of 12 points at advised prices since our last update.

But they are still 49 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP they have lost 15 points since our last update but are 13 points up for our trial overall.

There is obviously no UK racing until May (at the earliest) so there are no selections for the time being as they do not tip in Irish racing. Let’s hope they can kick on once UK racing does resume.

Always Back Winners – Results Update

10th February 2020

It’s been a good time recently for all-weather horse racing specialist Always Back Winners, with 49 points profit made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 61 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

There is a little bit of a gap opening up between the advised price results and those at Betfair SP, with the latter having made 37 points profit since our last update and 28 points profit for our trial overall. That’s still a decent amount to have made at Betfair SP though, especially considering the staking is reasonable at an average of one point each way per bet.

Good to see the positive form recently, let’s hope it continues.

Always Back Winners – Results Update

9th January 2020

A bit of a retreat over the last month for horse racing service Always Back Winners, with a loss of 5 points made at advised prices since our last update.

However they are still ahead overall, with a profit of 12 points made for our trial in total so far.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP it was a somewhat tougher month, with a loss of 15 points made since our last update. That puts them 9 points down for our trial overall at BSP.

Nothing too bad though and let’s look to see if they can bounce back this month.

Always Back Winners – Results Update

9th December 2019

It’s been a decent start to our trial of horse racing service Always Back Winners, with a profit of 17 points made so far to advised prices.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP it’s been a little slower but still in positive territory, with 6 points profit made for our trial after one month.

It’s quite a selective service with just one bet per day but that careful approach seems to be paying dividends for them, let’s see if it continues.

Always Back Winners – New Review

12th November 2019

Today we are starting a new trial of a horse racing service called Always Back Winners.

This is a service that focuses on flat racing, having made a profit in each of the three past flat turf seasons with reported totals of:

  • – 2017 – +231pts (to 1pt EW)
  • – 2018 – +125pts (to 1pt EW)
  • – 2019 – +90pts (to 1pt EW)

With the flat turf season having come to an end they are now turning their attention to the all weather racing over the Winter.

That has got off to a good start too, with winners at 20/1 and 16/1 already after just one month and an ROI  of over 76% so they are in red hot form.

They provide around 6-10 bets per week, all at north of 8/1 looking for a win strike rate in excess of 12% and a place in excess of 40% to generate long term profits.

In terms of a betting bank they advise backing between 1.25% and 2.5% EW of the available bank, which seems reasonable to us given the results achieved to date and the odds tipped at.

They tend to specialise in the Class 3, 4 & 5 races where gambling stables like a touch or where improving horses can be ‘under the radar’ as far as being tipped by the general scribes or press who concentrate on higher class racing.

From our understanding they are a trusted site and have been around for a while, so it looks like a decent service all round and we are looking forward to running a live trial of their tips.

We started receiving tips on Friday 8th November so will start recording results from then and will update progress here during the review.

In the meantime you can check out Always Back Winners for yourself here.

The Bookie Smasher – Final Review

We have reached the end of our six month trial of The Bookie Smasher and here are the final results:-

Profit/Loss:   -30 points
Strike Rate:   56%
Bank Growth:   -60%
ROI:   -3.6%
Average number of bets:   4-5 per day
Cost:   £1.99 for first 15 days then £27/month
VERDICT:   FAILED
Rating:

The Bookie Smasher – Full Review

The Bookie Smasher is a mixed sports tipster from the reputable Betting Gods tipster platform. They tip in everything from football to Tennis, eSports, darts, basketball, Aussie Rules football and more.

It is a high strike rate service, picking selections in the 1.5 – 2.5 odds range in the main and looking to build a bank with a steady stream of winners and reducing the losing streaks and drawdowns.

That’s the idea anyway and coming into our trial the results looked very strong, with a profit of 130 points made at an ROI of 11%.

However, sadly things did not quite turn out as hoped for, with a loss of 30 points made over our six month trial.

That equated to 60% of the recommended 50 point bank, which is quite a substantial chunk of it.

They were one of the few services to continue tipping through the corona virus interruption in sport, still managing to find selections in e-sports and the obscure football leagues that continued to play through April and May.

They could be forgiven if their form had suffered during that period as it was tough for anyone to generate a profit whilst the world was in such a spin.

However, most of their losses were actually incurred before the covid break and they managed to hold pretty steady from March to the end of our trial. So we couldn’t really put the disappointing results down to covid.

In any event, after monitoring the tips for six months and proofing over 800 selections, which is a very substantial sample size, we are afraid it’s a FAILED rating from us for The Bookie Smasher. Losing 60% of the bank on top of subscription fees would be a tough pill for subscribers to follow so we couldn’t approve the service at this time.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are sent out via e-mail usually early in the morning (UK time). With an average of 4-5 bets per day there is a little bit of work involved in following the service but not too much by any means.

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice any particular issues in obtaining the advised prices. Bets are normally advised with a variety of bookies.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 56% which was a little bit below the 60%+ they were achieving prior to our trial and perhaps accounts for the dip in results.

Advised Betting Bank: A 50 point bank is recommended for this service but as mentioned above 60% of that was lost during our trial. In theory at the odds tipped at and with 1 point staking a 50 point bank should be sufficient, although perhaps a 75 point bank would just give that bit more leeway.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are reasonable at £1.99 for first 15 days then £27 per month.

OVERALL VERDICT: FAILED

The Bookie Smasher is a mixed sports tipster providing selections in everything from football to Tennis, eSports, darts, basketball, Aussie Rules football and more.

Unfortunately they ended our sixth month trial with a 30 point loss, which equated to 60% of the recommending betting bank so it’s a FAILED rating from us for this service.

We wonder whether specialisation would be better as it’s tough to master betting on one sport let alone five or more so perhaps that would be something to think about for the future.

The Bookie Smasher – Results Update

28th May 2020

Not much change once again for the Bookie Smasher, with a small loss of 4 points since our last update.

That means they are now 33 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

We have extended the review here to allow for covid-19 but will be looking to wrap it up shortly. Let’s see if they can have a late burst and get into profit for our trial.

The Bookie Smasher – Results Update

28th May 2020

Not a great deal of movement lately for multi-sports tipster The Bookie Smasher, with just a small profit of 2 points made since our last update a month ago.

That means they are now 29 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

With German football back they have been providing a few tips from the Bundesliga which have been doing pretty well so hopefully with the return of more of the top leagues over the next month that should provide more opportunities for them to move things forward.

The Bookie Smasher – Results Update

25th April 2020

Not much change for multi-sports tipster The Bookie Smasher lately, with a small profit of 3 points made since our last update a month ago.

That means they are now 31 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

They are still managing to provide tips on a regular basis, mainly on e-sports and football, which is quite an achievement given how little sport is on at the moment.

The good news is that the Bundesliga is due to recommence on 9th May with other leagues possibly later in May and into June. So we may have football back in just a couple of weeks, in a limited form at least.

Hope you are managing to stay safe and well in the meantime.

The Bookie Smasher – Results Update

25th March 2020

A small loss for multi-sports tipster The Bookie Smasher in recent times, with 9 points dropped since our last update in mid-February.

That means they are now 34 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

The Bookie Smasher is one of the very few tipsters still providing selections, offering tips in e-sports and the little bit of football still going on. We aren’t sure how much longer that will be viable but if they can find a bit of value here and there then good on them.

Either way let’s hope for a move in the right direction by the time of our next update – whenever that ends up being.

The Bookie Smasher – Results Update

12th February 2020

Multi-sports tipster The Bookie Smasher is struggling to get going in our trial so far, with a further 20 points lost since our last update a month ago.

That means they are now 25 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

As mentioned last time there are a huge number of tips, with 450 bets advised for our trial so far. These come in a variety of sports and leagues so following the service does take a bit more work than most. Hopefully they can start producing the results to make that extra work worthwhile.

The Bookie Smasher – Results Update

14th January 2020

It’s been a quiet start to our trial of The Bookie Smasher, with a small loss of 5 points made so far after just over one month.

You can view full results here.

The bet volume is quite high with over 200 tips advised so far and they come in a variety of sports including football, ice hockey, basketball and darts. Most of the selections are in the major leagues but a few are a bit more obscure so take a little longer to find the markets.

Anyway, as we say a pretty even start to our trial, let’s see how they’re doing in a month’s time.

The Bookie Smasher – New Review

10th December 2019

Today we are starting a review of an interesting new tipster who tips in multiple sports and has the encouraging title of “The Bookie Smasher.”

We hope that name proves appropriate over the course of our review and beyond, but looking at their published record the title might not be out of place.

Since starting up in May they have made over 130 points profit, all to one point level stakes. That equates to over £1,300 to £10 stakes or £3,250 to £25 stakes.

The strike rate is exceptionally high at 62% and since May the longest losing run has been just 6 bets and the highest drawdown on the bank has been just under 15pts (where as the longest winning run has been 17 bets). So these results look ideal if you are searching for a consistent tipster who regularly finds winners and has manageable staking.

Even with such a high strike rate the ROI is also solid at over 11%, which is good to see.

As ever with Betting Gods tipsters you can get a 7 day trial for just £1 to check out the service and see if it is right for you.

Tips are provided across a huge spectrum of sports from football and tennis to badminton and volleyball, which is an unusual approach as most tipsters usually just concentrate on one or two sports.

However, there are some very good multi-sport tipsters out there like Betting Bias and Sports Spread Betting, so we know it can be done to make a profit betting in multiple different sports.

Whether it proves to be the case for this tipster we will have to wait and see but certainly the published results to date look very promising.

So we will kick off a review today and report back in around a month on how things are going.

In the meantime you can check out The Bookie Smasher for yourself here.

US Racing Expert – Full Review

Long has been our search here at Honest Betting Reviews for a profitable US racing service. In over five years of running this website and conducting hundreds of reviews, we are sadly yet to find one however.

We started off this review of the US Racing Expert from the Betting Gods stable with some anticipation, with the tipster in question having landed a $22,000 trifecta at the Kentucky Derby last year. Could we have finally have found a source of profits for racing on the other side of the pond?

Well sadly as you can see from the results table above, it didn’t turn out as we had hoped. After just a month into our trial they had blown the entire advised betting bank of 100 points and at that stage we were tempted to call it quits and fail the service right there.

We decided to give it some extra time to see if it could turn things around though and whether using a larger betting bank would allow them more leeway to eventually find their way to profit.

Despite something of a comeback later on in our trial however and nearly getting back to even, unfortunately things went the other way again towards the end and they finished over 70 points down for our six month trial.

With over 600 bets proofed and a lot of leeway given, sadly this service just wasn’t able to cut the mustard in the end.

So it’s a FAILED rating from us and our elusive search for a profitable US horse racing service continues…

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are sent out via e-mail usually early in the morning (UK time). With an average of just 3 bets per day it’s not too difficult a service to follow.

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice any real pressure on prices during our trial but interestingly the advised price results were quite a bit better than the Tote SP results, with a 35 point difference between the two. That suggests there may have been some early value in the prices, or that the Tote isn’t value! Either way though obviously the results didn’t make a profit so it’s something of a moot point.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 18% which was a little on the low side for the odds tipped at.

Advised Betting Bank: A 100 point bank is recommended for this service but as mentioned above that was blown fairly early on in the trial. We think a 150-200 point bank would be more appropriate here.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are reasonable at £1.99 for first 15 days then £27 per month.

OVERALL VERDICT: FAILED

US horse racing is big money and is about to become even bigger as gambling laws are relaxed across the United States. You would expect with it being such big business there would be a few decent US racing tipsters out there – or “cappers” as they are known stateside.

However, in years of searching we are yet to find any and our hopes for the US Racing Expert to be the first were sadly dashed as he blew the recommended betting bank early on and finished our trial with a 71 point loss.

So it’s a FAILED rating from us unfortunately and the search goes on…

US Racing Expert – Results Update

11th June 2020

The fightback has continued for horse racing tipster the US Racing Expert, with another 37 points profit made at advised prices since our last update.

That means he is now just 23 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

We have crunched the numbers on the Tote SP results as well and he is 46 points down on that front for our trial overall, so it looks like taking advised prices is the best option, other than perhaps when the odds are 20/1 or above. A couple of the recent winners were at odds of 28 and 23 at advised prices but 51 and 54 at the US Tote, so quite big differences. Below the 20/1 level though it is clear that taking advised prices has a clear advantage.

Anyway, let’s hope the comeback continues and by the time of our next update he will have moved into profit for our trial.

US Racing Expert – Results Update

23rd May 2020

Things have turned around fairly dramatically for the US Racing Expert recently, with a profit of 47 points made since our last update just under a month ago.

With the previous losses however, he is still 60 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Hopefully he can keep up the recent positive momentum and get towards scratch for our trial. Still a way to go to get to that point but at least things are moving in the right direction now and those who joined the service just recently are probably enjoying the form of the last few weeks.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

US Racing Expert – Results Update

28th April 2020

Horse racing has been continuing in the USA, which is good news for those of us who like a punt and are missing the top quality action that would normally be going on in the UK and Ireland right now.

For the US Racing Expert, unfortunately even though racing has continued, their fortunes haven’t turned around with another 8 points lost since our last update.

That means they are now 107 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Unfortunately that represents more than the entire recommended betting bank of 100 points, so it is safe to say it has been a fairly disastrous trial.

On a more positive note we have come across a couple of promising US racing tipsters so will be looking to get reviews of those going shortly.

For this tipster though sadly it looks like the writing is on the wall.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

US Racing Expert – Results Update

26th March 2020

The tough times continue for the US Racing Expert unfortunately, with a loss of a further 18 points since our last update.

That means they are now 99 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Sadly that represents just about the entire recommended betting bank of 100 points, so they are very nearly wiped out.

They are one of the few tipsters still going at the moment as racing continues over in the US, but for how long it remains to be seen.  Either way they need to turn things around quickly and get going in the right direction.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

US Racing Expert – Results Update

4th February 2020

It’s been a disastrous start to our trial of the US Racing Expert unfortunately. After just over a month of following the tips, they are 81 points down to US Tote prices (SP).

You can view full results here.

At one stage however they had actually blown the entire recommended betting bank of 100 points, so things couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start really. It seems like an instance of “sods law” – everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.

We will follow the service for a little longer to see if it can turn things around but it looks like the writing is on the wall sadly.

US Racing Expert – New Review

9th January 2020

Our friends from the good ol’ US of A are almost as keen on horse racing as us on this side of the pond, so it’s perhaps surprising there aren’t more US racing tipsters out there (or “cappers” as they would call them).

We imagine this void will gradually get filled as more states in the US legalise gambling and it becomes part of everyday life as it is over here.

In the meantime though there aren’t a great deal of tipsters to choose from, but the one we are starting a review of today looks pretty interesting.

It’s called the US Racing Expert from the Betting Gods platform and tips are provided by a guy called James.

He’s been a horse racing capper and writer for various publications in the US for several years now, and has proven himself to the Betting Gods team over recent months. He has written numerous blogs over at Betting Gods, including where he landed a $22,000 Kentucky Derby trifecta back in May!

From writing those blogs the Betting Gods team were impressed and asked him to proof his tips for US racing to them over a period of six months to see if he could generate a consistent profit.

He certainly managed to do that, netting just under £2,000 profit to £10 stakes, with an excellent ROI of 37% and growing the betting bank by nearly 200%.

The strike rate was good at 20% and the really good news is that all bets can be placed at the US tote, which is available at Betfair and most bookies so you don’t need to worry if your accounts have been restricted.

The other nice thing about US racing is that it gives you something else to potentially enjoy once the UK and Irish racing is finished for the day.

Anyway, we started receiving tips on 30th December so we will record results from then and will update how things are going here as the trial progresses.

In the meantime you can check out the US Racing Expert for yourself here.

Goal Profits – Final Review

It’s been over four years since we originally reviewed football trading service Goal Profits and they’ve added a whole host of new features since then so we thought it was high time for an update.

After having to take a break for coronavirus which disrupted our trial, we have been able to get back in the swing of things and complete our review.

So here we are with our thoughts on Goal Profits having taken a look at all the new features they’ve added since our original review back in 2016.

Goal Profits – Opening Thoughts

When we started the re-review process, we had wanted to produce some results for our trial, much like we do for the other reviews we do here at Honest Betting Reviews.

However, having looked at the platform and discussing it with the Goal Profits team, it became apparent that the tools and approaches available to members are so varied and wide-ranging that for us to give results would be pretty much meaningless, as they would be completely different to the results of any other member. Everyone will be using the platform to find different trades in different matches and leagues so a comparison wouldn’t be very meaningful.

And that really leads on to a more general point regarding what Goal Profits is all about – and what it is not.

In essence Goal Profits is a platform for people to learn how to trade football matches and to then provide them with the tools to find potential trades. It is an educational resource rather than a “tipping” platform in the traditional sense of churning out selections for you to copy.

You have to take the initiative and do some work yourself. Those who are prepared to do so clearly derive a great deal of benefit from the platform – hence all the awards Goal Profits has won, including our very own Best Football Service 2019 as voted for by our members.

If on the other hand you have limited time to learn how to trade and just want bets or trades sent to you, this probably isn’t the service for you. So it’s important to bear that in mind heading in, but now let’s take a look at the various features of the Goal Profits platform.

Goal Profits Members’ Area

After you have signed up to Goal Profits and logged in, you enter the Members’ Area which looks like this:

You have the latest news which covers any additions or changes to the platform, new leagues they may have added and upcoming games.

There is also an update on Chat Room Trades, telling you when professional traders Kevin and Steve will next be trading in the chat room. Finally there are e-mail addresses for you to request support, something Goal Profits is very strong on and are always on hand to offer help and assistance whatever your query.

Getting Started – Launchpad

OK so you’ve signed in and taken a look around. The next place to go to really get started is the Launchpad. This is a training guide where they go through all the essentials of how to trade, discuss the tools on the Goal Profits platform including the Live Stats Module, Custom Shortlist Pro, Team Stats and introduce you to their trading strategies.

It’s a good idea to take a good deal of time going through the Launchpad – whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced trader. Understanding exactly what’s on offer and how to use it is crucial to getting the most out of the service.

The Launchpad is broken up into the following sections:

  1. 1. Trading Basics
  2. 2. Trading for Beginners
  3. 3. Intermediate Trading
  4. 4. Advanced Trading

As you can see in the example of Trading Basics below, you simply click to get started and are then taken through everything step-by-step:

There’s quite a lot of info in here on trading mindset and discipline as well, which is a key part of becoming a successful trader and is well worth reading.

Click here to get access to the Launchpad.

Trading Strategies

Next up is the nuts and bolts of the platform – the trading strategies. These are the foundation of everything really as they are how you make use of the vast stats databases and other info in the site.

The trading strategies are covered in the Launchpad section but are also explained in great depth in this section, with any potential trades for the day indicated by the software, a full strategy guide and then an example video at the end. What more could you ask for really!

There are currently 14 trading strategies included on the platform and without giving too much away most of them revolve around correct scores, trading certain parts of a game if given criteria are met, laying the draw in a particular half if conditions are right and so on. There are also some more advanced strategies involving tactics like going against the crowd and utilising the Asian handicap markets.

Here’s an example of what the CS3 strategy looks like on the platform:

Most of these strategies don’t involve having to sit in front of your PC for the whole game – in the main they are either strategies just for a specific part of a game or involve closing out a position once a certain score is hit. So you don’t have to worry that it will take up 90 minutes plus for each trade.

Team Stats

OK, so you’ve gone through all the manuals in Launchpad, learned the trading strategies and now you want to start trading.

Well the place to start is to look at the fantastic stats databases Goal Profits provide. They have made major additions and improvements to these databases as well as adding whole new ones since our original review in 2016 and these are a considerable improvement in our view. They now cover over 60 leagues worldwide.

First up you have the Team Stats database, which is the overall guide to the day’s fixtures and all the stats on them you could need.

So for example for today we have a fixture coming up between Inter Zaprešić and Dinamo Zagreb. Clicking on the game presents us with a whole host of stats, including:-

  • – Percentage of games for each team with over 0.5 goals, over 1.5 goals, over 2.5 goals etc
  • – Matches where the teams scored at least one goal
  • – Average goals scored and conceded per match
  • – Goals per half
  • – Matches ending with a target score of the strategy CS3 referred to above
  • – And much more

So from that you could easily start finding games you want to trade if they have stand-out stats that show a very strong trend on one of these parameters that isn’t reflected in the odds.

Click here to get access to all these stats

Custom Shortlist Pro

Following on from Team Stats is Custom Shortlist Pro. This is where you can filter matches by a range of different criteria and build your potential trades from there.

So for example you might want to know matches today where the home team has won the first half at least 50% of the time and the away team has failed to score in the first half more than 50% of the time.

You can enter these criteria and then the tool will find any matches that meet these specifications:

The great thing about it is you can add rows to create additional filters and sort by a whole range of different criteria. It really is a great way of narrowing down your potential trades for the day and saving a lot of time compared to sorting through all the stats manually.

There’s so much else in the stats section too, including:

  • Compare Teams – pick any two teams and compare them as per the team stats section above
  • Database – the overall numbers analysing over 200,000 matches to give average stats on scores, over/unders, home wins etc
  • Form and trends – by last 5, 10 or 15 games
  • Tim’s Shortlist – GP member Tim’s picks for the day according to his own shortlist filters

So it’s really a treasure trove of info and a real geek’s heaven!

League Tables

This is one of our favourite features of Goal Profits and really sets it apart from most of the other footy offerings out there.

It shows you league tables based on a range of factors you can choose from and then shows you that table, with each team compared to their position in the actual league table.

So for example you might want to know how teams tend to do when going 1-0 up in games. Well you can sort the table by exactly that – here’s the Premier League for example:-

So as you can see from the table, Crystal Palace for example are 6 places above their normal league position in terms of their results when going 1-0 at home, where as Leicester are 4 places worse off and Chelsea 6.

This is great info for those in-running trades where you might want to take a contra position to the market if you think a team is a weak 1-0 leader in a game and will probably concede.

You can get league tables by criteria such as results vs bottom half,  home attack v away defence, when level at HT and much more – amazing!

Get access to the League Tables and much more here.

Live Stats Module

Most of what we have seen so far concerns looking at stats from completed matches to get a sense of how matches may go. But what stats from matches in-play?

Well Goal Profits have that covered as well!

They have a Live Stats Module which provides in-running stats on games including shots, corners, possession etc and even alerts when it’s a good time to enter a trade based on the stats.

This is similar to some other in-play trading scanners but to have it included as part of Goal Profits in addition to everything else you get is very impressive.

Chat Room

Finally on to perhaps the most important part of the platform in terms of where you can really learn – the Chat Room. This is where you can follow along with the professional traders Kevin and Steve. As mentioned above, they normally mention on the home page when they will next be trading so you can schedule when to be in the room.

Once in the chat room, they say which strategy they are following for a match and any moves they make during a game. Other members also chip in with comments and ideas and it’s also a chance to ask any questions you may have.

This is where you can see the trading strategies in action and how the pro traders trade them, so as we say it’s a great way to learn and improve your own skills along the way.

OVERALL VERDICT – PASSED

As you can see then the Goal Profits platform is incredibly comprehensive and we haven’t even covered everything here – there are also calculators, a forum, FAQs, Team Twitter lists and more! You would need to write a book really to do it justice.

Given all the improvements they have made since our original review and the vast offering that’s available to Goal Profits members, we have no hesitation in upgrading this to a PASSED rating. For anyone contemplating becoming a serious football trader, this is the place to start.

As stated at the outset of this review, this is a service for those who want to put in the time and effort and learn how to become a better trader. It provides you with the education, tools and guidance to do so, but how you use all of that is up to you. Those who put in the work and understand what is on offer clearly love the platform – hence all the awards Goal Profits has won. Its members really value everything they are provided with and derive great benefit from it.

The only thing we would like to see added is perhaps some alerts sent through Telegram (like Trade On Sports), for those who don’t have the time to study the platform, learn everything and follow matches in-running. That is just our own personal preference and others may argue that is not what Goal Profits is all about.

Either way though what you can’t argue with is the quality and depth of everything on offer from Goal Profits. It’s the most comprehensive football trading platform out there and has set the benchmark for others to follow.

And the great news is you can get a 7 day trial for just £1 here.

Goal Profits – Re-Review

19th November 2019

It’s now nearly four years since we reviewed football trading service Goal Profits (see below) when we awarded it a neutral rating.

In that time the service has changed almost beyond recognition, with a whole host of new features and tools added. In addition they have also won numerous awards since our original review, including our very own “Best Football Service 2018” award voted for by you, our members!

So we thought it was only fair to the Goal Profits team that we had another look at the service and checked out all the new features they’ve added to see if we should reevaluate our original rating.

There is no doubt this is the most popular football trading service on the internet and the community seems to absolutely love the offering, so we are really looking forward to getting stuck in and testing it out.

Today then we are launching a “re-review” of Goal Profits and will report back soon on our findings. There is an awful lot to get through so it may take some time but hopefully it will be worth it and we’ll be able to provide some decent insights into what the service is all about and whether it can make you some profits.

Goal Profits Full Review

We have completed our trial of the much-heralded Goal Profits, a suite of systems for trading football matches on the exchanges such as Betfair.

We have to confess to being slightly underwhelmed at the results after three months of testing.

Following the trades of Steve (who runs the service) exactly for 3 months has yielded just 12 points profit over the course of 63 matches traded.

So that would be nearly 100 hours of trading time to make 12 points profit, which at £10 per point doesn’t quite cover the subscription fees.

Now of course it wouldn’t quite have been 100 hours of trading because you would have been out of some matches before the 90-minute mark, but you get a good idea that lots of time needs to be invested here.

And for that amount of investment, we would like to have seen better results to make it worthwhile.

Here you can see the results for the trial in graph format – a good start followed by a long period of steady decline and then a big jump at the end.

Goal Profits Profit Graph

What do you get with Goal Profits?

As we said previously in our results update, there are essentially three different types of trading system included in the Goal Profits package:

  • Lay the Draw strategies
  • “Matrix” systems
  • Correct score strategies

In total you are given 28 potential strategies to trade with Goal Profits.

There are some bold claims made on the Goal Profits website that people trade these systems full-time for a living.

That may very well be true, but for us there needs to be much clearer direction given before we are convinced that anyone who joins can make such profits – or even just good profits.

We would expect there to be very clear instructions given for live trades. For example, an e-mail sent out prior to kick-off saying:

“Lay HT Draw in Liverpool v Chelsea at 2.4 for 1 point”

Then another e-mail after a goal saying:

“Trade out of Liverpool v Chelsea HT Draw market for 0.6 pts profit.”

If they did this across say at least half a dozen systems and these averaged a decent profit of around 5-6 points profit per month each, then we would be more convinced that following their systems can deliver a solid profit each month.

But as is, you can follow Steve’s trades in the forum for the most part and some of Kevin’s, but not the kind of clear, testable service outlined above we would like to see.

So the subscriber is left to test all these other systems for themselves and see what they can achieve.

For us there wasn’t anything in their 28 systems that jumped out as having a clear edge. And some of them are available elsewhere on line for free.

The “Lay the draw” system is well covered for free on the internet and we have our own strategy laid out here.

Plus we detail the “lay the draw at half time” strategy in our Football Betting Secrets manual which is available here.

So for us, whilst this made a profit over the trial, it wasn’t enough to merit a recommended rating and that is likely to remain the case for us unless they set up the kind of service we outlined above.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: This is a heavy workload service to say the least. You will have to dedicate a considerable amount of time to firstly learning the systems and how they work and then to trading them.

Availability of prices: The prices Steve records for his systems are generally readily available. The correct score market is the main market you will trade following his methods and it has very good liquidity.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 33%, which is good and you shouldn’t have too many losing trades in a row here.

Advised Betting Bank: We used a 40 point bank for following Steve’s trades which we felt with a fairly good strike rate and 3.2 points risked per trade, would be comfortable and that proved the cae here. However, for each system that you trade you will need either a separate bank (recommended) or to increase the overall size of your bank if using one for all systems.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are £37 + VAT per month, which are a little on the high side and there is no introductory offer for people to try for a period (e.g. 1 week or 14 days).

OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL

Overall we can see that a lot of work has gone in to creating a suite of trading strategies here and the owners of the service, Steve and Kevin, are dedicated to their cause.

We would not deride any system that can turn a profit and Steve has managed to do that with his correct score trades, gaining 12 points over the course of our trial.

However, we feel that there is not enough here to give this a passed rating.

There are 28 systems provided, but excluding the correct score systems, we could not see that the other systems would guarantee a profit over the long term.

If there was a more systematic approach to providing live trading advice for those systems and they proved profitable, we could well be persuaded to change our view on this.

But until then, this goes into the neutral list for us.

Goal Profits – Results Update

11th January 2016

It has taken a little longer than normal to get our first update done on Goal Profits and we apologise for that if you have been waiting for it.

This one has been trickier to review than most systems we trial here at Honest Betting Reviews as there is an awful lot of information to take in – including a number of manuals to read, lots of videos to watch and about 30 potential systems to trade!

So that is probably the first thing to warn you about – if you do sign up to Goal Profits, be prepared to devote quite a lot of time getting to grips with it.

What is Goal Profits actually all about then?

Well Goal Profits is a set of systems for trading football matches on the exchanges such as Betfair. There are essentially three different types of trading system included:

  • Lay the Draw strategies
  • “Matrix” systems
  • Correct score strategies

In terms of the lay the draw strategies, these are widely available for free online – in fact we have done our own guide to lay the draw for your perusal here!

Looking at the Matrix systems, we had a look through each system but struggled to find anything that either wasn’t available for free elsewhere or had a clearly identifiable “edge” as such.  Why would they make you money? That is the question we always ask with a trading system. There wasn’t an obvious answer for us when looking at those systems.

So that leaves us with the correct score strategies. These are probably the mainstay of Goal Profits and what the service is really about.

There are different methods for trading the correct score markets outlined, but basically they all centre on hitting certain “target scores” where you make a profit if a game finishes in certain scores like 2-3, 3-2, 3-1, 2-2, etc but a loss if it finishes 0-0, 1-0 or 0-1.

We have recorded the results for the main “Batman and Robin” trades that Steve, who runs the service, uses for his own trading.

You can view full results here.

After two months of trading and 50 matches traded, we are 4 points up overall.

Given the amount of time invested in having to be at the computer for the duration of those 50 matches, 4 points seems like quite a low return.

Plus, those are the official results if you have traded just like Steve and got exactly the same results as him. We have not managed to get as good results as these, but have been learning and are getting closer now.

It does take a bit of getting used to and knowing what you should do in each situation when a goal is scored.

So in summary the verdict so far is that the jury is still out on Goal Profits. We have struggled to make a profit after two months and a huge amount of time invested – and even following Steve’s trades exactly you would only be 4 points up.

We have a month to go in the trial so will be interesting to see how things turn out and if we can extract some more profit from this.

Will be back in a month with our final review.

Goal Profits – New Review

3rd November 2015

Today we are commencing a review of Goal Profits, a popular football trading product that focuses mainly on the correct score markets on Betfair.

This is a sister product to Value Football Betting, a service we have reviewed and originally gave a passed rating to but downgraded to a neutral rating after a disappointing run of results.

There are some fairly bold claims made on the sales page of Goal Profits – such as that they can “turn beginners into full-time professionals” and that some of their members “now work part-time because their trading profits provide enough income.”

The guy who runs the service, Steve Brown, also claims that “my correct score trading strategies and exclusive Team Statistics software have changed the way football matches are researched and traded for profit.”

Well that is perhaps the boldest claim of all, because it is one thing to say people make a living out of trading systems and another thing to say you have changed way the market is traded, particularly with a massive worldwide website such as Betfair!

Their claims appear to be backed up by something though, as they have won a number of awards for being the best trading product in their field.

Goal Profits

So we are intrigued to find out what all the fuss is about and whether they can live up to their bold claims. At the end of the day, when you strip away all the hype and layers of theory and padding, any system ultimately comes down to results.

A lot of trading systems we have come across rely on either unrealistic amounts needed to trade on markets without enough liquidity, are so ridiculously complicated that it would take a degree in trading to comprehend them, or rely on super-fast trading out.

Hopefully that won’t be the case here and trading strategies will be more sensible.

Anyway, the key question is can they produce consistent profits month-in month-out. Well our trial will endeavour to find out.

In the meantime you can check out Goal Profits here.
