Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship Winners Profile: Sebastian Vettel

Sebastian Vettel is one of the most storied champions in the history of Formula 1. This German driver won four consecutive championships from 2010 to 2013, making him one of the most impressive drivers of all time. But how did he become so successful? What is it that makes him so impressive?

Whether you want to know more to get the best of sports betting lines, or just to brush up on your Formula 1 history, then this is the perfect place for you. We’re going to delve into the career and life of Sebastian Vettel, exploring the most integral moments that have caused his success in the sport.

Early Life

On July 3, 1987, in Heppenheim, Germany, Sebastian Vettel was born. His father ran a go-kart track in his hometown, which inspired his love of motorsports at a young age.

Vettel started karting when he was three years old, and by the time he was eight, he had already won his first club championship. Before switching to single-seaters, he continued to excel in karting, taking home numerous regional and national titles.

Vettel competed in the Formula BMW ADAC championship in 2003 when he was just 16 years old, winning the title in his first season. He won four races and placed on six podiums the following year, when he came in third in the championship. Red Bull was impressed by his performances and hired him in 2006 as a test driver for their Formula One team.

F1 Debut

At just 19 years and 53 days old, Vettel made his Formula One debut for BMW Sauber at the 2007 United States Grand Prix, making racing history as the youngest driver to ever start a race. His impressive performance in his first race earned him a point with an eighth-place finish. He took the place of the injured Robert Kubica.

Vettel made his race debut for Red Bull Racing at the 2009 Chinese Grand Prix, taking the place of the team’s underwhelming Sébastien Bourdais. Later that year, Vettel was confirmed as a test driver for Red Bull Racing.

At the 2008 Italian Grand Prix, Vettel, then 21 years and 74 days old, became the youngest driver to win a Grand Prix in just his second race for the team. It was his first F1 victory.

Vettel finished second in the Drivers’ Championship the following year with four victories and eight podiums. He also made history by becoming Red Bull Racing’s youngest driver to win both a pole position and a race.

Championship Success

In 2010, Vettel won the Drivers’ Championship for the first time after finishing the season with five victories and ten podium finishes. At age 23, he became the youngest-ever F1 World Champion after winning the title with one race remaining.

Vettel continued his dominance in 2011 after winning the championship, winning 11 races and placing on the podium 17 times. He won his second consecutive Drivers’ Championship with four races to spare, finishing the season with 392 points, 122 points ahead of his nearest rival.

Vettel maintained his superiority in 2012, winning five races and placing ten times on the podium. At the Brazilian Grand Prix, he won the Drivers’ Championship for the third time in a row, making him just the third driver in F1 history to accomplish this feat.

By winning 13 races and placing on the podium 16 times in 2013, Vettel won the Drivers’ Championship for a record fourth time in a row. He won nine races in a row from the Belgian Grand Prix to the Brazilian Grand Prix, breaking the previous record for the most consecutive victories in a season.

Outside Of The Sport

When he’s away from the track, Vettel is well known for his love of music, even going so far as to sing karaoke at F1 events. He’s a keen football fan, supporting Eintracht Frankfurt. Vettel has been involved in several charitable initiatives throughout his career. In 2015, he set up a charity that has helped disadvantaged children and other young people around the world in their lives.

He’s also a big supporter of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which aims to use sport as a tool for social change in the world. These are some of the reasons why Vettel is beloved by F1 fans and others across the world.

Final Thoughts

In short, Sebastian Vettel’s achievements in Formula 1 are what make him so renowned. His four Drivers’ Championships and 53 total race wins make him one of the most impressive drivers in the sport’s history. His success is a testament to his talent, dedication, and hard work, and he remains one of the most popular drivers today.

As Vettel continues his F1 career, fans around the world hope to see him return to a championship spot. We hope that this article has given you everything you wanted to know about Vettel. 10 Facts About Poker

Many people adore playing online casino games. Poker is one of the most popular card games of all time. Though a player’s success in this game is heavily reliant upon luck, skill and strategy will also play a major role.

If you adore poker, here are ten terrific facts that may surprise you:

1. It Used To Be Played With Just 20 Cards

Famously, poker is played with a 52-card deck. However, when the game was first devised, it was played with just 20 cards. It was not until the early 1800s that the game incorporated the entire 52-card deck.

To play this game, 5 cards would be given to 4 different players. As a result, the winner would be the player with the best hand of cards.

2. The Exact Origins Of Poker Are Not Known

It is not entirely known when and where poker originates from. Many people believe that our modern understanding of poker comes from the United States. It is believed to have been started during the early stages of the 19th century.

Many historians believe that the game may have come from China during the 10th century. It may have been inspired by a game during this period that combined dominoes with a card game.

Alternatively, it may have derived from “As-Nas”. As-Nas is a card game that comes from Persia. It is believed to have started during the 16th or 17th century.

The truth is that it is simply impossible to firmly state the origins of poker.

3. The Royal Flush Is The Best Hand

The royal flush is inarguably the best poker hand. This game-winning hand is formed of a Ten, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace of the same suit.

The odds of getting a royal flush are 649,739-to-1. The probability of getting this hand is 0.000154%. Consequently, it is the rarest hand in the game.

4. The World Series of Poker Was First Televised In 1973

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is a tournament that has been around since 1970. After the emergence of this tournament, the desire to watch poker tournaments on television increased.

Therefore, the first WSOP tournament to be televised occurred in 1973. This tournament was broadcasted by CBS Sports. Today, these tournaments are regularly televised.

5. Johnny Chan Had A Good Luck Orange

Johnny Chan is a professional poker player, who has won several World Series of Poker competitions.

One of the quirky facts about this player is that Chan would always bring an orange with him for extra luck. This orange would be placed next to his load of chips.

Originally, the orange served a practical purpose, but it has since become a good luck charm. It was originally used to cover up the smell of his cigarettes.

6. Online Poker Started In 1998

Nowadays, online poker is a popular game. The online version of this game has now been around for a relatively long time.

The first ever game of online poker was first played on the 1st of January 1998. This game was hosted by Planet Poker. This game quickly took off and became increasingly popular.

7. Players Often Give Away Their Hand Through Body Language

When playing this high-stakes game, people are told to maintain a “poker face”. Essentially, this means that they should attempt to conceal their emotions so that the other players are unable to tell what cards they have.

As humans, we unconsciously and consciously communicate with our bodies. Most people will have a visible tell, which is a signal or gesture that indicates the quality of their hand.

In particular, you should pay attention to the microexpressions in the face to tell what your opponents are thinking when they look at the cards.

8. The Longest Poker Game Lasted For 8 Years

Did you know that the longest game of poker lasted for a massive 8 years? This game continued from 1881 to 1889. This game of poker was played constantly, lasting 24 hours per day and 7 days a week.

This infamous game occurred at the iconic Bird Cage Theatre. The game featured several noteworthy poker players, such as Doc Holiday, George Hearst, and Diamond Jim Brady.

Roughly $10 million was exchanged through this grueling game of poker.

9. There Was Once A Fifth Suit

Alongside the four traditional suits of hearts, diamonds, aces, and spades, it was once proposed that another suit be introduced to the game. This card deck would be made with green eagles.

This suggestion was made during the 1930s. Though the majority of card manufacturers still use the four traditional sets, it is possible to find five-set packs.

10. Justin Bonomo Is One Of The Best Players Of All Time

Many poker players have experienced massive success in the game. Justin Bonomo is one of the most successful poker players of all time. Dubbed ZeeJustin, Bonomo is known for his participation in live tournaments. Through these tournaments, he has made an impressive $57,283,047.

Final Thoughts

You might think that you know everything about poker. But, as this list demonstrates, there are plenty of fascinating facts related to the world of poker that few people know. Hopefully, this lust has taught you something new.

Kentucky Derby Profile: Arabian Knight

One of the biggest events in horse racing is the Triple Crown, comprising the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes. Now is the time of year when we start looking at FanDuel’s Kentucky Derby contenders as the races are only around the corner.

One exciting part of horse racing is that you never see the same race, it is always unique, with unique horses, and of these Arabian Knight is a new colt under the spotlight.

In this approaching year’s races, Arabian Knight has been a focus and has had a lot of drama around him already. He races from 2022 and is now in the bid for a potential Triple Crown.

If you are looking to place your bets on a horse with a great outlook, then maybe Arabian Knight is the one to watch, or is he? Let’s find out!

Who is Arabian Knight?

Well, Arabian Knight is a 3-year-old colt, who has been racing since 2022. He was sired by Uncle Mo, out of the Astrology mare Borealis Night, and was trained by Bob Baffert, while racing for Zedan Racing Stables, Inc.

Arabian Knight was bred in the U.S., in Kentucky, and has already raced at Keeneland, Oaklawn Park, and has won there. Not only this but he also has a stakes win at the 2023, Southwest Stakes, too!

He has a lot of potentials and has already proven himself in his previous races, but whether he is enough to take home the Triple Crown trophy is another thing altogether!

Recent Performance

The recent performance of a horse will always give you a good idea of its overall outlook on a track. Remember, the surface is incredibly important, as some horses prefer a dry, sandy track, but others will do better on dirt, or in wet conditions!

Date Finish Track Distance Surface Race 1st Time
11/5/22 1st KEE 7F Dirt MSW Arabian Knight 1:21:98
1/28/23 1st OP 1 1/16 M Dirt 2023 Southwest Stakes Arabian Knight 1:43:5

As you can see Arabian Knight is a great horse to place your bets on, with nothing but success in his notable races, however, while previous races are a great way to get an insight into how a horse will perform, there is much else to consider.

Interestingly, pedigree is just as important!

Arabian Knight Pedigree Profile

When Arabian Knight saw victory at the Southwest G3, he was believed to be a horse with all the potential needed to carry him into the Triple Crown picture, even if he is not yet eligible for the Kentucky Derby.

He is 2 to 2 since his Southwest win, in which he beat a very deep field by 5 ½ lengths. Sadly, he did have a downfall, since he is trained by Bob Baffert who is suspended from starting any horses in the Kentucky Derby this year.

This means that Arabian Knight missed out on any points for qualification.

Yet, the excitement around this horse doesn’t only come from his performance thus far, but also from his pedigree. This young bay colt is a foal of Uncle Mo, who was the champion 2-year-old male of 2010 and is one of the leading sires in North America.

The first crop of foals produced by Uncle Mo produced a Kentucky Derby winner in Nyquist and Mo Donegal who won the Belmont Stakes last year.

He has been famed for passing on speed to his offspring, with a horde of very fast runners in his foals.

With Uncle Mo as part of his pedigree, it is safe to say that Arabian Knight is a much-anticipated horse for a good reason. However, he is also a much-anticipated horse due to his dam as well, Borealis Night, who although failed to crack the trifecta, is a daughter of Astrology.

Astrology won the Iroquois G3, as a juvenile, and came third in the Preakness.

Kentucky Derby Rumurs

There have been countless concerning headlines regarding Arabian Knight and the Kentucky Derby, and back in March we heard he had been taken out of training and would miss the Kentucky Derby! Which is the last thing any of us want!

We heard that wagering was suspended on Arabian Knight, he was the 2nd choice on the morning line behind the favorite for a race on May 6th. However, his trainer was not happy with his latest work and felt it was in the best interest of Arabian Knight to not rush him.

He is still seen as a superior talent, and the idea of the trainers is to point him in the direction of a campaign in the summer and fall. Therefore, while he works as an awesome Kentucky Derby prospect, that is not the case for this year, and we will have to wait to see more of him.

Overall

It turns out that Arabian Knight won’t be seen at the Kentucky Derby of 2023, as he has been suspended for further training. While this is far from what we want, it may end up being better in the long run, and only the future will tell if it is the right decision.

Tipster of the Month – April

It’s that time again – yes it’s time to look at our “Tipster of the Month” award for April.

This is where we look at the top tipsters – both those we have reviewed in the past and those we are currently reviewing – to see who’s performed most strongly over the last month.

It’s a chance to find out who is in form and has been giving the bookies a good hiding over the last month and to note any stand-out performances.

So let’s take a look at who the best tipsters were in April.

Tipster of the Month – April 2023

April was a big month for sport with the Grand National, the Masters golf, Champions League quarter-finals and much more besides.

It didn’t quite have that spring-like feel here in the UK as the weather remained cold but that didn’t stop some tipsters from striking red-hot form as they hit the bookies where it hurts in April.

Let’s get on to looking at the top three tipsters for the month. There was a runaway winner this time, with one tipster racking up an astonishing 143 points profit over the month!

3. Bet Alchemist

In third place is last month’s winner, long-running horse racing tipster the Bet Alchemist

This is a service we originally reviewed way back in 2016, when it received a PASSED rating.

The service has continued to perform strongly over the years since and has now amassed over 680 points profit in total. They specialise in the major festivals like Cheltenham and Aintree in particular, with a lot of the profit coming from the festivals.

After an excellent March in which they made an impressive 40 points profit (and as we say, our Tipster of the Month award for that month), the Bet Alchemist followed it up with another good month in April, notching a further 20 points profit

There were some nice winners during the month including Ailie Rose at 25/1, Malystic at 12/1,  Monbeg Park at 11/1 and plenty of others at decent prices.

So another very good month from the Bet Alchemist and well done for following March’s win with a third place finish in April.

2. Loves Racing

In second place we have another long-running and successful horse racing tipster, Loves Racing.

We originally reviewed this service back in 2019 when it made a commendable 65 points profit (+19 extra for their festival bets). Much like the Bet Alchemist, Loves Racing has continued to perform admirably since then, amassing over 770 points profit in total.

Also much like the Bet Alchemist, they tend to perform best at festivals and the big meetings. And so it has proved lately, with more winners being smashed in left, right and centre at racing’s showpiece events.

In April Loves Racing made an excellent 36 points profit, landing winners including Madeira Mist at 33/1, Harswell Duke at 16/1, Vadream at 12/1, Ballybawn Belter at 12/1 and Regarding Ruth at 22/1.

A word of advice though if you are following this service – it is vital to get on the bets as soon as tips are sent out as prices get absolutely smashed in. A couple of hours later they can often be half the advised price, removing all or most of the value.

If you are able to get on quickly and have a good spread of bookie accounts however Loves Racing is a top service and proved it once again in April.

1. Hanbury Racing

Well there was a runaway winner of our Tipster of the Month prize for April and that was Hanbury Racing.

This is a service we ran a trial of in November 2021 and it delivered a superb 238 points profit during our seven month review.

Much like the two services above it has continued to consistently deliver profits since then, with a penchant for finding massive winners.

In April Hanbury came out with all guns blazing and landed not just one, but two 50/1 winners, in the shape of Burbank and Sugapiehoneybunch.

With another winner at 30/1 and plenty more at decent prices throughout the month, that helped them to a whopping 143 points profit in April!

That would be £1,430 at £10 per point stakes or £3,575 profit at £25 per point stakes.

So suffice to say they swept the floor with the opposition in April and that makes them the undisputed winner of the Tipster of the Month award.

Big congrats to Hanbury Racing for the win and the two 50/1 winners in April. Magical stuff!

Gambling 101: Setting Yourself Up for Success

The truth is that as a gambler, the house always has an advantage over you regardless of what you are gambling on. Simply put, as a gambler, you are often set up to lose; however, this doesn’t have to always be the case.

You can maximise your winning potential by taking on board a few rules and developing some strategies which we have outlined below; keep reading to learn more about how to set yourself up for success.

Choose the Right Game

First things first, you need to choose the right games and the right form of gambling to maximise your chance of winning and reaping the rewards. This might mean making bets on sports that you are already really knowledgeable about or making an effort to learn more and understand the casino games that you want to play.

You need to understand the rules, the house edge, the odds, and essentially, all aspects of gameplay. This means doing your research, but it might also mean a little trial and error, and this should be done at a reputable casino like Jackpot Casino.

Don’t Gamble Under the Influence

Drinking does indeed lower your inhibitions, and it might make you feel more confident, which some people believe to be an asset. However, the confidence is often undeserved, and it might actually impede your ability to make smart choices while betting.

For a lot of people, gambling and drinking go hand-in-hand because they are both used to relax. Try to avoid gambling when you are under the influence; having a drink or two while gambling should be fine, but you should not place bets or gamble when you are drunk.

Prioritise Financial Management

Everyone has heard stories about people finding themselves in financial difficulties due to their gambling habits. These stories are not uncommon, but you can avoid this fate by simply having a little discipline and always making sure to prioritise your finances.

This is easily done by establishing limits and sticking to them. Think about how much you can afford to bet at any given timeframe and try to avoid staking large amounts of money on a single bet or game.

Think Ahead

Gambling experiences ebbs and flows; such is the nature of the industry and it is growing. You are likely to experience winning and losing streaks, and it is easy to take these personally but try not to get too preoccupied with them.

Thinking ahead is key. You need to always have an awareness of the long game. Do your best to keep track of your profits and losses over time, and if you can, try to identify any patterns to them. It makes sense to come up with a plan. Obviously, adaptability is important, but in general, it is worth having a plan.

In Conclusion

Gambling can and does take many forms, depending on your preferences; this could mean betting on your favourite football, basketball or hockey teams, or perhaps heading down to the dog track or betting on horses, or even playing casino games.

Whatever your particular indulgence or vice is when it comes to gambling, there is a right and a wrong approach. You really need to do everything you can to set yourself up for success and give yourself the best possible chance of winning.

How Online Casino Sites Outperform Bookmakers When It Comes to Betting

Sports betting has enjoyed explosive growth in the last few decades. This is partly due to many countries legalizing sports betting.

The other part is that it is now available online and the experience is much-enhanced thanks to technology. Today, you don’t have to call a bookie or visit a betting establishment to make a wager on a match. You can do this from any place on your mobile device.

That’s not the only thing that changed, though. As soon as online sports betting became an option, traditional bookies started losing clients to online bookmakers i.e. sportsbooks. These, on the other hand, are often losing clients to sports betting online casino websites i.e. casinos that also offer betting on sports.

Today, players can quite literally sign up and do online sports betting and casino gambling at the same place, on the same website. When they win, they can collect their winnings even without having to process documents at a no verification withdrawal casino and receive their payouts in just a few hours. And this is just one of the perks that players enjoy when they place wagers on casino sites!

If you want to learn more about how online casino sites differ from bookmakers – and how they outperform them, keep reading.

Bookmakers vs. Online Casino Sites

The predictions to Aussie casinos point out that the incredible growth in interest will continue in the years that follow. As technology advances, so does the quality of gambling at online casinos. And while very few offer betting in addition to gambling, there are sites that have both options for players – and they attract a very big audience.

The rapid growth of online betting added to the boom that legalized betting already made on the market. Both sportsbooks and casinos are poised to capitalize on the influx of cash that the growing popularity of gamblers brings in, but who wins the battle?

There are certain things that make sports betting and casino online sites more attractive to players than traditional and online bookmakers. Before we explore the advantages, let’s differentiate between the two.

What is a Bookmaker?

A bookmaker or a sportsbook is a website exclusively accepting bets on sporting events and contests. Also known as a bookie, this is a modern, digital way to present the odds to the audience and allow them to place their wagers. A bookie will set the odds for the event before they accept any wagers.

Thanks to online betting, the job of bookmakers is in higher demand, more diversified, but also more complex. Things have changed. Now there are people from the other side of the world placing their wagers on such websites. There are very few people in the world that call to get in on the action. Bookies no longer meet physically with customers. They take the bets and pay the winner online.

For a bookie to accept a bet from a customer, they must balance the book first. This is a very difficult and risky process. If the bookie doesn’t hedge against taking a big loss on a match, they can be sunk in an instant. A good bookmaker will set the odds in a way that guarantees that they’ll at least get a return on their investment, no matter the outcome.

Because of this, bookies can’t make a fortune off a single event or offer highly competitive odds. If bookmakers want to be safe and protected, and avoid going bankrupt overnight, they need to be extra careful. Basically, it all boils down to giving fair odds on both sides – the bettor and the bookie.

Now, most bookies are smaller than casinos. These corporations must be extra careful about maintaining a good reputation. They need to process payouts faster, avoid misunderstandings and mistakes, and basically set themselves apart as a good choice.

The larger sportsbooks, on the other hand, have bigger budgets, and more odds, and can be more flexible with their calculations in order to attract more bettors.

What Is an Online Betting and Casino Site?

Online casinos are frequented by thousands of players, especially the big and popular ones. Those who offer sports betting in addition to casino games like slots, blackjack, and roulette, attract an even bigger audience since they offer two different things.

In a sports betting and casino online, you can find a variety of games such as slot machines, blackjack, poker, baccarat, roulette, live dealer games, craps, and much more. You can play the lottery on some sites, buy bingo tickets, and join tournaments. On top of that, you can hop on their sportsbook and place wagers on sports matches and events, just like you would with a bookmaker.

A bookmaker will only offer sports betting as their main service, while a casino can offer sports betting as part of their services.

How Casinos Outperform Bookmakers Today

Now that we’ve distinguished between the two, let’s answer the main question – how do casinos outperform bookmakers?

1.    More Gambling Options

The target audience of a casino and a sportsbook often overlap. Many people love playing casino games and betting on sports. In an online casino that offers the two, players can do everything they want without looking for another source. In other words, online casinos allow you to operate in both areas without leaving the platform.

Not only that, but you can do this while enjoying the perks that the casino offers to regular players and bettors. When you get tired of placing bets or don’t like the current odds or events, you can switch to casino gambling and have an amazing time.

Many dedicated sports bettors don’t go to bookmakers today to place wagers because they want a more diverse experience. In a casino with sports betting, they can play high-stakes roulette, try their luck on a blackjack table, or spin the reels on the trending slot machines – and even win a jackpot.

Instead of signing up and switching between two separate websites, players can simply use one site. They can bet on sports, but also play sport-themed casino games, which is yet another plus.

2.    Versatile Bet Selection

Truth is, you can find a versatile bet selection at the major sportsbooks, too, but most small bookmakers will have a limited number of options for placing bets. Casinos that offer sports betting are usually already very successful when they decide to dip into a different gambling field. This means that most of them will have a tremendous choice in terms of bet selection. This is another reason why they outperform bookmakers.

In a casino, you’ll have the chance to bet on a variety of sports. This starts with the major sports and events in football, basketball, ice hockey, and tennis. It expands to marginal sports, too, like winter sports and cricket. Finally, you can find virtual sports to bet on these websites such as Counterstrike and League of Legends gameplay, as well as virtual tennis games and Formula 1 races.

3.    Excellent Betting Odds

Bookmakers, especially the smaller companies, don’t have a lot of flexibility in terms of offering more favorable odds to attract players. They have to guarantee a profit. Casinos, on the other hand, will still aim to guarantee a profit, but they have a bigger budget because they source it from casino games, too. To attract players, they’ll be willing to offer some amazing odds you can’t find at bookmakers’ websites. Such betting odds have turned many bettors toward casino websites.

Keep in mind, though, that in some countries there’s a betting tax for wagering on sports. Some casinos offer players to place their wagers without the task and cover the amount themselves if you win. You can hardly find such a thing at a bookmaker.

Due to their popularity and the fact that casinos operate on two fields, they can offer better and higher odds, and perks like the one we just mentioned. That might be the reason why thousands of bettors switched to these sites and left their old bookmakers behind.

4.    Varied Betting Markets

In addition to tackling diverse sports, serious online casinos will also offer betting on varied markets. They’ll offer betting on the major leagues and events, of course. But, the options are usually far more versatile.

At an online casino that also has a sportsbook, you can place wagers on smaller leagues and minor events that you won’t find with most bookies.

5.    A Huge Number of Bet Types

There will be a number of possibilities for betting on a single sport – bet on the loser, the winner, a draw, etc. You can also bet on the number of goals scored, make handicap bets, and other special bets. Special bets at casinos are usually very interesting – and rather unique. For instance, you can tap the number of given yellow cards or corner balls and bet on them. You can bet on a victory of one set in tennis, or a singer in a big singing contest.

A good online casino will offer single bets, combination bets, and live bets. You can make system bets to give yourself higher odds of winning even if some tips on your slip don’t end up as you anticipated.

Live bets are especially popular at online casinos. They are made available instantly and for diverse matches, and some players prefer betting this way, while watching the match, over betting ahead. In some casinos, you can even watch live broadcasts, so you won’t have to switch to a different page to watch.

6.    Incredible Bonuses

Bonus promotions at trending casinos are always enticing. As long as they come with reasonable terms, these are one of the biggest incentives to pick a website. Casinos usually have enormous welcome bonuses. Those who also offer sports betting are known to diversify their choices. For instance, they can offer one bonus for casino players and another for sports bettors. Depending on what you prefer, you can claim the welcome bonus of your choice.

While in most cases you won’t be able to claim the other welcome bonus, some casinos might give you the incentive to play their casino games afterward, too.

Either way, bonuses at casinos are usually the biggest you can find, often bigger than those with bookmakers. In fact, the majority of bookmakers don’t offer bonuses to their players. Casinos, on the other hand, shower players with promotions. This starts with the welcome bonus and goes to regular promotions, cashback offers, as well as VIP perks and presents.

If you are a regular player at a casino and sportsbook, you can claim bigger and bigger bonuses as you get higher in their VIP program. You’ll get promotions sent via email as incentives to play, can claim regular bonuses available to all, and enjoy perks like VIP support if you are a high roller or frequent bettor.

7.    Excellent Casino Apps

Now, in this sense, casinos might not outperform big bookmakers since both can have amazing mobile apps. Even so, at a casino that’s also a sportsbook, you can navigate through a single app to play casino games and wager on sports, so that’s a great plus.

A casino app is not available on all sites these days. Some simply offer browser access because many players don’t have the space for an app on their phones. Mobile optimization is vital for all trending casinos, so whether you play in an app or a browser, you can expect a seamless experience on both.

Wrapping Up

This list is not a final indicator that a casino will outperform a bookmaker. In the end, it all comes down to how good of a website you choose to gamble on. However, if you choose a high-quality casino that also offers sports betting, you can enjoy the two amazing forms of gambling all at the same place, combined with big bonuses that aren’t found at bookmakers’ sites. So, in some ways, casinos almost always outperform bookmakers, which is why they attract more bettors every day.

Can Chelsea emulate their 2016/17 season performance next year?

Chelsea are a complete conundrum of a football team. At their best, the Blues have dominated the Premier League and beaten Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to the Champions League crown.

At their worst, the West London outfit are dysfunctional and a tragic operation to watch from top to bottom. Chelsea are currently enduring a period of dysfunction following Todd Boehly’s takeover last season and have fallen by the wayside in the Premier League, slumping into the bottom half of the table with seemingly no plan for the future. Their stock for the next campaign is pretty low indeed.

That said, it could be a time for bettors to use available offers to back them to turn their situation around in the odds for the Premier League crown.

Although it might sound a little strange to consider the Blues to be title contenders, Chelsea have risen from despair in the past to conquer both the Premier League and European football. Interim manager Frank Lampard is certainly not the long-term solution, making the next full-time managerial appointment a crucial one for Boehly after sacking both Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter, the latter just months into his tenure at Stamford Bridge.

Boehly’s predecessor Roman Abramovich had no issue hiring and firing managers, but it did not lead to a culture of stability at the club. The issue continues to plague Chelsea, who need a man at the helm to breed a positive atmosphere that allows the undoubtedly talented players to thrive.

Repeating 2016/17 Season

Chelsea were equally off the boil in the 2015/16 season when they cycled through two managers over the course of the campaign, one year removed from winning the title. Jose Mourinho’s second spell at Stamford Bridge ended abruptly when the club languished in 16th place in the Premier League.

Guus Hiddink was brought in for his second spell in interim charge of the Blues, and guided them to a 10th place finish, losing only three games in the top flight in the second half of the season.

Then, Antonio Conte arrived and immediately elevated the standards at Stamford Bridge. His team stormed to the Premier League title in the 2016/17 season, beating out Guardiola’s City to the crown. Chelsea were largely flawless over the course of the campaign, securing the title with 93 points, their second highest tally in Premier League history.

Chelsea fans would have been hopeful of the start of a dominant era under Conte, but the club were quickly surpassed by City and Liverpool before Conte was sacked at the end of the 2017/18 season after beating Manchester United in the FA Cup Final.

Chelsea need the invigorating approach of Conte with their new man in charge, without the theatrics that the Italian has brought to every managerial position. To become a dominant team in the Premier League once again, the Blues need to find the right balance, and it might not be as hard as supporters believe.

Finding The Right Solution

Julian Nagelsmann has already ruled himself out of the equation to become Graham Potter’s replacement at the Bridge. Mauricio Pochettino has been heavily linked with the role and would be a natural fit for a young squad that needs guidance from an experienced coach.

Pochettino nurtured Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min, allowing both players to become world-class operators for Tottenham, securing their first appearance in a Champions League final in 2019.

The mark against Pochettino is the lack of trophies he has to his name. Spurs blew their best chance to win the Premier League in 2016, failing to beat out Leicester City for the crown.

Although they produced an excellent run to reach the Champions League final, they failed to lay a glove on Liverpool in a 2-0 defeat. Pochettino did win the Ligue 1 title with Paris Saint-Germain, but their continued failures in the Champions League resulted in his dismissal after only 18 months in the dugout.

At his best, Pochettino can be inspirational and play attractive football with young players. However, his record against Guardiola is not overly inspiring. He’s won only four out of 22 matches against the Spaniard’s teams, including four defeats in seven in the Premier League. Pochettino’s record against Klopp is even worse, winning only one game out of 11, including the Champions League final defeat.

Alternatives to Pochettino include Vincent Kompany, who has excelled in guiding Burnley back into the Premier League at the first attempt. But, it would represent a huge gamble to turn to another former Premier League star without a huge deal of managerial experience.

Talent

Although it might not seem like it this season, Chelsea have an abundance of talent. The Blues just need the right man to find a cohesive system to bring out the best in the players on the field. The difference in their squad from their 2015/16 failure compared to one year later when they lifted the Premier League crown was minimal.

Conte knew how to configure his team into a successful system that conjured success on the field. Guardiola and Klopp similarly shaped their respective sides into dominant forces, making a mockery of their predecessors.

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta have proven that it can be achieved over time, especially with young players. Even Unai Emery and Eddie Howe at Aston Villa and Newcastle United have allowed their players to thrive, elevating both teams up the Premier League table.

So, it will not take much for a new manager to come into Stamford Bridge and revive the fortunes of the club. Chelsea are likely not going to be competing in Europe next season, so, like Conte in 2016/17, the Blues will be unencumbered compared to their rivals who are concerned by their European exploits. This was key to delivering success in 2017. As other sides tired down the stretch, Chelsea were allowed to storm their way to the crown.

Chelsea are unlikely to find the same level of success as 2017, although stranger things have happened. If Mykhaylo Mudryk, Enzo Fernandez, David Datro Fofana, Kai Havertz, Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana and Mason Mount, among others, gel on the pitch under the guidance of a manager that can harbor a positive spirit,

Chelsea can dream of emulating Arsenal and challenging for the crown. However, it will be a tough job for whoever inherits the dugout left from the mess of the 2022/23 season.

The Offline Betting Landscape is as Relevant as Ever

For betting enthusiasts and operators, the internet has become a powerful resource, enabling players to interact seamlessly with sporting events worldwide.

However, there’s a catch, as brick-and-mortar bookies seem to have become increasingly distinct from their online counterparts. How much of this is true though? Is the offline world still as integral to the overall wagering experience as it has always been? The answer is, of course, yes.

Casino Cage

The combined services of online and offline sportsbooks have allowed the iGaming industry to expand in some unexpected ways. For instance, while bookmakers on the internet are renowned for offering a range of payment processors, including standard plastic, PayPal and Skrill, and even certain cryptocurrencies, integration with high street outlets means that companies can take this one step further.

In the UK, players are able to fund their online accounts by handing over cash at a bookmaker’s physical location. While this is (usually) a free service with no delays, it does come with some drawbacks.

As an example, people who make use of this facility, because they don’t have a bank account, are likely to have lower withdrawal limits applied to their betting accounts.

This kind of scheme is much more advanced in the United States, where major casinos let players make deposits at the casino cage. The need for some online operators to have an associated physical location in order to operate legally is arguably why US punters have greater access to this payment facility. The downside is that enrollment in a casino or sportsbook’s loyalty scheme may be required.

Book-a-Bet

Inevitably, iGaming platforms have attempted to streamline the relationship between online and offline bookmakers. Sportingtech, a company that offers combined casino, sportsbook, and retail betting software, provides ‘book-a-bet’ functionality to operators.

This feature allows players to create a bet slip online but place the wager in a store, once again, letting people take advantage of different payment options.

This kind of turnkey retail betting service is an attempt to elevate the position of high-street bookmakers, which have been returning to a stronger position following a period of decline. Auditing company PwC discovered that, in 2021, almost all categories of retail (including betting) had experienced a slump in the number of physical locations in operation but that the closures were at their slowest rate since 2017.

PwC added that the disappearance of betting shops from the high street was likely a consequence of technological change. While its ‘Store Openings and Closures 2022’ report didn’t elaborate on why, we’ve already mentioned the likely culprit, namely, growth in the online industry. Oddly enough, this particular part of UK commerce has been buoyed recently by the appearance of websites serving US states like Maine, Kansas, and Massachusetts, as many of the operators are the same.

It’s probably fair to say that brick-and-mortar betting locations will live or die with the rest of the high street, potentially reducing opportunities for offline bettors. In better news, with the internet producing new bookmakers all the time, it’s easy to see where fresh growth could come from.

Arsenal’s Nerve To Be Put To The Ultimate Test

Having last won the Premier League title back in the 2003/04 season, Arsenal finds themselves back in the thick of a race to be English champions once again.

With reigning champions Manchester City also firmly in the mix in what is a two-horse race, Arsenal’s nerve will be put to the ultimate test for the remainder of what has been a thrilling season in England’s top flight.

Gunners Must Steady The Ship After Wobble

Arsenal was flying under manager Mikel Arteta over the first few months of the year and put together a seven-match winning run in the Premier League. The Gunners, who are 7/4 in sport betting Zambia market to win the Premier League outright his season, saw their title credentials put to the test in April when they faced Liverpool.

Finding themselves 2-0 up in the first 28 minutes, the north London outfit ended up drawing the game 2-2 at Anfield. Certainly not the end of the world for Arteta’s side but possibly an opportunity missed to overcome a significant hurdle on the way to a potential title.

Arsenal then found themselves in a similar position in the following game at West Ham United but this time it only took 10 minutes for the visitors to race into a 2-0 lead at the London Stadium. West Ham again responded with both teams scoring and the match finishing in another 2-2 stalemate.

Confidence will certainly have been shaken after throwing away two 2-0 leads and seeing a total of four points dropped at Anfield and the London Stadium. Arsenal faltered when it mattered last season in their hopes of finishing in the top four and, after those two draws, they will be determined the same does not happen again with the English crown on the line this year.

Manchester City Have Been There And Done It

What will possibly jangle the nerves even more in the Arsenal camp is the fact their title rivals Manchester City know what it takes to edge a Premier League title race.

City held their nerve on the final day last season to come from 2-0 down to beat Aston Villa at the Etihad and cruelly deny manager Jürgen Klopp and his talented Liverpool side what would have been a second Premier League crown.

City boss Pep Guardiola has been successful at whatever club he has been at. From his titles with Barcelona and Bayern Munich, the Spanish tactician has made City a formidable force in England and in Europe. Arteta worked under Guardiola during his time as an assistant coach at the Etihad Stadium and the managers know each other well. The battle between the master and the apprentice adds another element to what looks set to be another tricky title race to predict.

Arsenal has been the team to catch since their electric start to the season. The remaining weeks will show if the Gunners have the nerve to stay the course and finally end their long wait for Premier League glory.
