Just to confirm that this service has been discontinued so this will be our final update.
The writing looked to be on the wall for a while as they had been closed to new members on the Betting Gods platform, with only existing members still receiving the tips.
However, with a loss of 29 points made over our two year review period the results were just weren’t up to scratch so we can understand the decision to wrap things up at this stage.
So we will also call it a day here and put this one in the failed/defunct pile.
On to the next review then and hopefully a bit more luck in finding a top football tipster!
Just a reminder this service is closed to new members for the time being but we will continue to monitor results and if they reopen to new members we will update the situation here.

Even though we are getting towards the end of the main European season, this tipster normally continues tipping in the Summer leagues from the likes of Scandinavia and America so we should still see plenty of action over the coming months.
We are getting towards the end of the European season now so it would be good to see them finish the season with a flourish and get back towards evens for our trial overall.
Hopefully they can get things back on track soon and start to make back some of the losses made in our trial as it has been rather disappointing so far.
It’s been a step backwards for football tipster the Euro Football Punter over the last month unfortunately, with a loss of 23 points made since our last update.
That means they are now 26 points down for our trial overall.
Hopefully with the main European leagues about to kick off again for the new season we will see them get things moving back in the right direction shortly.
There has been steady progress for football tipster the Euro Football Punter over the last month, with a profit of 6 points made since our last update.
That means they are now 3 points down for our trial overall.
Simple 1 point staking is used on every bet, which is something we like to see as it keeps things straightforward to follow and means results aren’t inflated or exaggerated in any way like you see with some services.
Anyway, let’s hope they can keep the positive momentum going and get back into profit for our trial soon.
Even though the big European leagues have now finished for the season, this service will still be providing tips in other divisions such as the Swedish, Irish and Norwegian leagues over the Summer so plenty of action to get stuck into still.
There are generally 2-3 bets per day with this service – sometimes more at weekends – with tips normally posted early in the morning with plenty of time to get the bets on.
Anyway, let’s hope they can get back on track and move back into the green by the time of our next update.

True to the tipster’s name, leagues all across Europe are used, including Spain, France, Italy, Turkey, Greece and England.

This is a new service from the Betting Gods tipster platform and has some strong results since starting up in May 2021.
According to the results on the Betting Gods site, they have made over 130 points profit so far, which is an impressive haul.
That has been achieved with an excellent 67% win rate – meaning a high proportion of winning bets, something we always like to see.
The return on investment is also good at 16%. For football services anything around 10% is considered a strong ROI so to be up at 16% with a high strike rate is notable.
A variety of markets are utilised for the bets including match odds, first half goals and over/under 2.5 goals.
Leagues across Europe are used, including Ireland, Belgium and Scandinavian leagues, so not the biggest leagues but it’s often these lesser leagues where value can be found as there is less focus on them and information is not so readily available.
One of the nice things about the service is that there have been some long winning streaks – quite a few over ten and some even 16+ match winning streaks.
It’s in those instances that the bank can really grow quickly.
Hopefully we’ll see those kind of streaks repeated during our trial but only time will tell. As ever results will be updated here as we go along so you can see how the tips are getting on.

Just to say that following our last update below, the service said they would be taking a break and reviewing things after a poor run of form, with a view to starting again at the start of the new season (’24-’25).
Well we are a couple of months into the new season and are yet to see any tips posted. Nor have they responded to e-mails we have sent them and when trying to log in to the website it gives an error message.
So we can only presume they have decided not to recommence the service and we will therefore put this review into abeyance.
If they do restart the service at some point in the future we can look at recommencing our review but for the time being we will put a halt to things here.
This is a service that advises bets from across the European leagues and are mainly in the match odds and Asian handicap markets.
They stated that they have been testing a second algorithm for the last two years which they had planned to integrate into the service at the beginning of March but in light of recent results, went live with in the last week of February.
This means that there will be a lot more selections and some of them will be backing the away team to win.
They also stated that this (i.e. February) was their worst month in four and a half years, which is what we sometimes refer to as “reviewer’s curse.”
Hopefully it was just bad luck and they can get things going in the right direction again soon.
We are starting a new trial today of a football service called Football Edge.
It is based on a betting algorithm that identifies value in the football markets and then posts bets to members accordingly.
They went live with the system in 2019 and the results reported on their website since then look very impressive:
2019: +£1,969
2020: +£3,656
2021: +£3,224
2022: +£3,935
2023: +£2,044
Total: +£14,827
Each of those yearly totals is from a starting bank of £2,500 at the beginning of the year, which is reset at the end of the year.
They say they have achieved over 120% return on investment (ROI) each year, although technically what they mean is 120% return on capital (ROC) rather than return on investment ROI.
The staking is based on the Kelly Criterion and is calculated for you on the website based on your starting bank.
Looking at the results, some of the stakes are very hefty, with stakes at some point getting up over £350 per bet.
Most of the bets are on heavy favourites so in theory the strike rate should be high and losing streaks short, but those are still pretty big stakes. A few losses in a row could impact the bank quite considerably.
Bets are from across the European leagues and are mainly in the match odds and Asian handicap markets. Results are recorded from Betfair, which is good so hopefully it should be possible to match their official results (or close to them anyway).
This is an intriguing service with very encouraging results so we are keen to see how it performs under live trial conditions.
We will get things going today and will report back soon on how they are getting on.
Winning Post Profits is a horse racing tipster based at the Sure Win tipster platform and they have been going since June 2021. So just over 3 years now.
The tips are provided by a chap called Sam Darby and come with detailed write-ups explaining the reasoning behind the selections.
Sam uses a variety of bet types including singles, doubles, trebles, forecasts and the like. These multiple bets can be at very large odds of 500/1+ so there is the opportunity to land a massive winner.
As mentioned during our review, the staking is more variable than with most tipsters we review, with up to 14 points per bet being staked.
Some bets for example are 4pts e/w or 5pts e/w.
Sam says the reason for using this staking is: “to try to make it less confusing for people when recommending very small stakes forecasts or multis. I took the view that people are more likely to be confused by 0.05 points stakes than 0.5 points stakes, so I made the stakes for standard singles higher to hopefully make it clearer/less confusing.”
That makes sense really in view of the multiple bets the service uses, to keep everything in proportion.
Anyway, we followed the service for 6 months which gave us a good sample size of 194 bets.
At the end of our review they finished with a solid profit of 13 points.
That was achieved with a strike rate of 27% (including placed horses) and a return on investment (ROI) of 2%.
The service advises using a 300 point betting bank, so the growth in the bank over the course of our trial was only 4%.
At Betfair SP the results weren’t quite as good, with a loss of 41 points made, so it looks like you will need bookie accounts to make the most of this service.
Overall then given just a small profit was made and the low bank growth and ROI over our trial, it only seems fair to award Winning Post Profits a NEUTRAL rating.
A decent effort to have made a slight profit, but it’s not quite enough in context of the overall metrics to warrant a passed rating at this stage.
Service Breakdown
Ease of use: The selections are sent out e-mail, usually in the afternoon or evening before racing. There is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 1 bets per day on average the workload is pretty manageable. Most bets come at the weekends, so there are often no bets for a few days during the week then around 4-5 bets on a Friday/Saturday.
Availability of prices: We didn’t experience too many issues with price availability during the course of our trial.
Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was solid at 27% (including placed horses).
Advised Betting Bank: A 300 point betting bank is recommended for following the service. That seems fairly reasonable to us and was never in jeopardy during our trial.
Subscription costs: The subscription costs at the time of writing are £39 per month or £327 per year.
OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL
After a six month trial, horse racing tipster Winning Post Profits finished with a profit of 13 points at advised prices.
With an ROI of 2% and bank growth of 4%, the service receives a NEUTRAL rating from us.
A solid effort but not quite enough to merit a passed rating at this stage.
Things have also picked up at Betfair SP, with a profit of 39 points made since our last update. However, they are still 28 points down for our trial overall at BSP.
As mentioned before, the staking with this service is more variable than with most tipsters we review, with up to 14 points per bet being staked so that is to be borne in mind when viewing the results and when choosing an appropriate betting bank for the service if you have signed up.
They have fared somewhat worse at Betfair SP, with a loss of 48 points made since our last update and a loss of 67 points made for our trial overall at BSP.
In our last update we mentioned that the staking with this service goes up to 14 points per bet, which we described as “quite aggressive.”
However, Sam who runs the service points out that “The points totals used will be higher than what most are used to and that doesn’t mean the £ stakes should be higher but more that followers will want to adjust their £ per point staking that they have used elsewhere.
The reason I’ve always used a higher points total is to try to make it less confusing for people when recommending very small stakes forecasts or multis. I took the view that people are more likely to be confused by 0.05 points stakes than 0.5 points stakes, so I made the stakes for standard singles higher to hopefully make it clearer/less confusing.”
So in light of this information – and a 300 point bank being recommended for the service – it is perhaps better to describe the staking as more “variable” rather than “aggressive” than other services.
Anyway, hopefully that clears things up and the staking used makes sense in context of the multis etc being used. It also should be noted that this makes the current results look worse than they actually are, as at 1pt stakes the loss would be obviously much lower.
They have fared a little worse at Betfair SP, with a profit of 40 points made since our last update but a loss of 19 points made for our trial so far at BSP.
It’s worth pointing out that staking is quite aggressive with this service at up to 14 points per bet, with some 8 and 10 point bets so far, so it can be quite volatile with this tipster.
A 300 point bank is recommended for following the service, but it could be prudent to go with a slightly larger bank to be on the safe side here.
It’s been a tough start to our trial of horse racing tipster Winning Post Profits, with a loss of 47 points made to advised prices for our trial to date.
It’s a similar story at Betfair SP, with a loss of 59 points made for our trial so far.
It’s worth pointing out that staking is quite aggressive with this service at up to 14 points per bet, with some 8 and 10 point bets so far, so the results are certainly not as bad as they at first seem.
A 300 point bank is recommended for following the service, so most of the bank is still in tact.
We are starting a new trial today of a horse racing service called Winning Post Profits.
They are based at the Sure Win tipster platform and have been going since June 2021, so just under 3 years now.
The reported results in that time have been stellar, with over 1,000 points profit made in total.
That has been achieved with a solid strike rate of 36% and an excellent return on investment of 29%.
The staking is quite aggressive with this service at up to 14 points per bet, so that needs to be taken into account both in terms of the profit total and the betting bank needed to follow the service.
A 300 point bank is recommended for following the service which takes this larger staking into account.
It is somewhat more of a selective service than many horse racing tipsters out there, with around 5 bets per week on average.
Tips are normally sent out the evening before racing, giving plenty of time to get the bets on.
The service is flat only and normally runs from March through December so it is a good time to be starting a review.
We will kick things off today then and will report back here soon as how things are going.

UPDATE – Please note this service has been discontinued. Mel’s other services, First Class Racing and All Weather Winners, are still available however.
*ROI calculated here based on 1pt stakes. Calculating the ROI as a percentage of the total liability staked would give an ROI of 3.1%
Second Class Racing – Full Review
Second Class Racing is a horse racing laying service run out of the Betchat stable of tipsters, with tips provided by a chap called Mel Gee.
Mel and Betchat are the same team behind another service we are currently reviewing – First Class Racing.
Whilst that service focuses on selective back bets in top class racing, Second Class Racing does the opposite – it provides lay bets at a higher volume and in all classes of racing.
Over the years we’ve found very few successful laying services – really the only one being Little Acorns – and its complimentary service, Little Acorns Gold, which passed a review back in October 2022.
So we approached this review with a bit of trepidation to see whether another laying service could finally pass a review.
We wanted to give the service a proper look as there can be quite a bit of variance in laying services, so we followed the service for just over 6 months and proofed more than 500 bets in that time.
Selections are sent out via Telegram, where Mel posts a screenshot from Betfair with this picks, which looks like this:-
So you take a look at those and then try to place lay bets at the same price Mel has got.
The rules of the service are to lay at the advised price (always between 3.0 and 6.0) and not to take a larger price.
If a lay isn’t matched at the advised price, then it’s no bet.
You do not select “keep in play” or “take SP” on Betfair and there is no trading – it’s a “set and forget” approach. .
Not all of your lay bets will be matched but that’s okay – Betchat say that over the long run it should balance out in terms of missing both winning and losing lays.
In our own experience that was very much the case – we did have a few selections that we weren’t matched on over the course of the trial but a few of those were losers (as in the horse won), so it was actually a relief to have missed them.
There were also a few winning lays we weren’t matched on so overall it pretty much balanced out.
Anyway, after six months and 500 bets, how did it pan out?
Well we are pleased to report that a profit of 70 points was made, which is no mean feat in laying terms.
That was achieved with a very high strike rate of 85%, so the vast majority of lays were successful.
As is often the case with these things however, the unsuccessful lays did tend to come in batches.
Call it “natural variance,” “bad luck” or whatever you prefer, but either way it can be a little testing when you get a bunch of losers close together and your bank takes a significant hit.
However, in the long run Mel always bounced back and produced good runs of successful lays to rebuild the bank and ultimately finish the trial with a very healthy profit.
Whilst they do NOT advise following the service at Betfair SP, we also tracked the results at BSP just out of interest.
Laying all the selections at BSP would have given a profit of 70 points, exactly the same total as taking the advised prices.
Laying only those selections with a BSP below 6 (Mel’s cut-off point for a selection), would have given a profit of 52 points, which is mainly due to having less bets – only 334 compared to 500 following the recommended approach.
Whichever way you skin it then it’s been a very good trial and we are pleased to award Second Class Racing a PASSED rating.
That’s only the second laying service to have passed a review here at HBR (and still be operational), so well done to Mel Gee and the Betchat team!
Service Breakdown
Ease of use: The selections are sent out by Telegram, usually around midday UK time on the day of racing. There is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 2-3 bets per day on average the workload is very manageable.
Availability of prices: As discussed above, there were some instances of prices being missed but overall this balanced out and wasn’t really an issue.
Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was very good at 85%, meaning a very high proportion of winning lays.
Advised Betting Bank: A 100 point bank is recommended for following the service which seems reasonable to us and was more than enough to cope with the ups and downs during our trial.
Subscription costs: Subscription costs are quite high at £199.97 per quarter or £599.97 per year, so realistically to make it worthwhile you would probably need a betting bank of at least £2,000.
That’s based on a recommended betting bank of 100 points, so that would be £20 per lay.
For our review period that would have produced £1400 profit, minus just under £400 in subscription costs if paying quarterly.
OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED
Making a profit from lay betting is very tough. Testament to this is the fact that only one laying service has passed a review here at HBR and is still going – Little Acorns.
So it’s great to be able to say we finally have another successful trial of a laying service, with Second Class Racing producing 70 points profit at both advised prices and BSP.
It achieved that with a very high strike rate of 85% and gets a firm thumbs up from us with a PASSED rating.
With the subscription costs being quite high however we would recommend at least a £2,000 betting bank to make it worthwhile signing up.
For those that are able to stake at or above that level, Second Class Racing has produced excellent results over a six month trial and is well worth checking out.
It’s been an excellent month for horse racing laying service Second Class Racing, with a profit of 35 points made to advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 60 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.
The rules of the service are to lay at the advised price (always between 3.0 and 6.0) and not to take a larger price. If a lay isn’t matched at the advised price, then it’s a no bet.
There is no trading – it’s a “set and forget” approach.
Whilst they do NOT advise following the service at Betfair SP, we have also tracked the results at BSP just out of interest.
Laying all the selections at BSP would have given a profit of 40 points since our last update and a profit of 59 points for our trial overall thus far.
Laying only those selections with a BSP below 6 (Mel’s cut-off point for a selection), would have given a profit of 53 points so far.
So all in all the results have been pretty similar whichever approach you’ve followed.
Horse racing laying service Second Class Racing has bounced back nicely lately, with a profit of 15 points made to advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 25 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.
Laying all the selections at BSP would have given a profit of 21 points since our last update and a profit of 19 points for our trial overall thus far.
Laying only those selections with a BSP below 6 (Mel’s cut-off point for a selection), would have given a profit of 30 points so far.
It’s been a tough time lately for horse racing laying service Second Class Racing, with a loss of 33 points made to advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 10 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.
Laying all the selections at BSP would have given a loss of 36 points since our last update and a loss of 2 points for our trial overall thus far.
Laying only those selections with a BSP below 6 (Mel’s cut-off point for a selection), would have given a profit of 22 points so far.
Just a note to say I’ve seen a few comments in the group chat about the recent losses and whilst it’s fully understandable to be disappointed, it’s important to take a long-term view of the results.
That’s why we always advise allowing for the full review to be completed before deciding whether to sign up to a service or not.
We tend to run reviews for at least six months these days – and often much longer – which allows us to get a really good look at a service and a big sample size of bets.
Reviewing over these extended periods allows us to cut out the “noise” of short-term fluctuations and see whether a service has a clear edge over the market.
So we have to give this one a little more time to play out before reaching a verdict. The recent losses have been tough to take but let’s see where they end up at by the end of the review.
More strong progress lately for horse racing laying service Second Class Racing, with a profit of 16 points made to advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 43 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.
Laying all the selections at BSP would have given a profit of 17 points since our last update and 34 points profit for our trial overall thus far.
Laying only those selections with a BSP below 6.0 (Mel’s cut-off point for a selection), would have given a profit of 37 points so far.
Whichever way you’d been following the selections then would have given a very healthy profit since our trial started.
It’s been a strong start to our trial of horse racing laying service Second Class Racing, with a profit of 27 points made to advised prices so far after six weeks.
Laying all the selections at BSP would have given a profit of 17 points for our trial to date.
However, laying only those selections with a BSP below 6.0 (Mel’s cut-off point for a selection), would have given a profit of 29 points so far.
So will be interesting to see if that’s maintained during the rest of the review.
Today we are starting a new trial of a horse racing service called Second Class Racing.
This comes from the same guy (Mel Gee) behind another service we are currently reviewing – First Class Racing.
Whilst that service focuses on selective back bets in top class racing, Second Class Racing kind of does the opposite – it provides lay bets at a much higher volume (up to 12 bets per day) and in various classes of racing, not just top class racing.
The results of the service so far have been very impressive:-
After 24 weeks the selections have:
Made £1,421 to 10 stakes…
Made an average of £59 per week…
Made a Return On Investment (ROI) of 17.5%…
And achieved a strike rate of 85% (691 bets won out of 811).
So pretty strong results there, although it is still early days.
To find the selections Mel looks at Betfair between around 11 and 12 in the morning UK time and then posts the lay bets on Telegram with a screenshot of the lays placed on Betfair.
Not all of the selections will be matched and Mel’s advice is not to go chasing the prices – if a selection isn’t matched at the advised price, he says to just leave it.
All prices are between 3.0 and 6.0 so there is no risk of one unsuccessful lay wiping out your whole bank at huge odds as is the case with some laying services.
It is a “set and forget” strategy so once you have entered the lay bet on Betfair that is it – there is nothing further to do like trading or monitoring the market, your work for the day is done.
So a very novel approach here and it will be interesting to see how this one fares under a live trial. It would be good to have a profitable laying service as they have been few and far between over the years.
We will kick things off today then and will report back here soon on how it’s all going.

Betting Gods Premium Tipsisa service that provides daily tips from a portfolio of tipsters on the Betting Gods network, across a range of different sports.
Tips come from the full suite of Betting Gods tipsters, which when we started our review was 17 expert tipsters and is now 15.
The lineup of tipster evolves over time but at the moment includes the likes of:-
The Bookies Enemy
The Footy God
The Outside Edge
The Saviour
Daily Footy Doubles
Some top services there with a number on the list having passed trials here at Honest Betting Reviews in their own right.
As a member of the service you receive 4-5 tips each day, from a variety of the tipsters depending on who has strong selections for that day.
We followed the tips for 14 months which gave us an excellent sample size of 1645 bets.
At the end of our trial then they finished with a profit of 86 points, which is a pretty decent total.
That was achieved with a strong strike rate of 42%, although the ROI was a little on the low side at 3%.
That is not unusual though to have a low ROI when you have a high strike rate.
It is just a little lower than you would like to see with a 42% strike rate – somewhere in the 5-10% range would be getting towards the top range in tipping terms.
In any event, with 86% bank growth over the course of the trial (on a 100 point bank basis – although see below on this) it’s been a strong trial and with the cost of the tips being just £7.99 per month or £69 for lifetime access (at the time of writing), it represents excellent value.
There are many tipping services charging a lot more that deliver a lot less. This is actually one of the best value tipping services we have seen in a while.
A couple of things to note with the service:
At the moment the tips come in just football and horse racing. This is due to the nature of the tipsters on the platform at the moment and could change if tipsters in other sports join the Betting Gods network.
All the profit made during our trial in effect came from the horse racing tips, which made 89 points profit. So you could choose to focus just on those.
Overall then we’re happy to award Betting Gods Premium Tips a PASSED rating. Well worth adding their portfolio of tipsters…to your portfolio!
Service Breakdown
Ease of use: The selections are sent out e-mail, usually around 8am UK time each day. There is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 4-5 bets per day on average the workload is reasonable, but manageable.
Availability of prices: We didn’t notice too much price pressure overall over the course of our trial.
Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was solid at 42% (including placed horses), which kept things ticking over nicely.
Advised Betting Bank: No betting bank is advised for the service but we used a 100 point bank for our trial. The bank was never in jeopardy during our trial, although we did experience a drawdown of around 70 points at one stage so a 150 point bank might be more prudent here.
Subscription costs: The subscription costs at the time of writing are very reasonable at£7.99 per month or £69 for lifetime access
OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED
Betting Gods Premium Tips is a portfolio of tipsters providing daily tips from the betting experts across the platform’s stable.
After a 14 month trial they finished with a profit of 86 points, which is a good total. Whilst the ROI was a little on the low side at 3%, that is not too unusual to see when the strike rate is 42%.
With a low cost of just £7.99 per month, this is a very good value service to have as part of your betting portfolio.
Multi-sports service Betting Gods Premium Tips has continued its good form recently, with a profit of 12 points made to advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 58 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.
It’s been an excellent time for Betting Gods Premium Tips over the last month, with a profit of 47 points made to advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 73 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.
Just a reminder that this is a service where you normally receive 4 tips per day from across Betting Gods’ portfolio of expert tipsters.
This covers everything from horse racing and football to basketball, tennis and handball.
The performance of this service so far shows the value of a portfolio approach to betting – following a group of tipsters can often be better than just following one, as it spreads the risk and allows you to benefit from a pool of knowledge and expertise.
Just a reminder that this is a service where you normally receive 4 tips per day from across Betting Gods’ portfolio of expert tipsters.

The Ten Pound Tipster is a horse racing tipster with the aim to make good profits on UK and Irish racing using just £10 per point stakes.
Ten pounds per month is also the cost of the subscription (at the time of writing). “Winning tips – cheap as chips” as they say.
The tipster started out as many punters do, following all kinds of tipsters and systems in the hope of finding riches, only to be disappointed after much-hyped services failed to deliver.
Then they started to develop their own systems, with long periods of proofing and testing.
Confident in the systems they had developed, they have been running them live for over a year now and we proofed the tips for nine months.
That gave us a good sample size of just under 500 bets.
They calculate results at Betfair SP and stake 1 point to win and 1 point to place (where there are 5 or more runners, 1 point win only when 4 runners or less).
It was somewhat of an up-and-down trial to be honest, as they went 50 points up early on, before falling to over 50 points down and then rallying to finish our trial 33 points up.
So it was solid rather than spectacular, but we always say any profit is not to be sniffed at.
That’s particularly the case when that profit has come at Betfair SP and at a very reasonable subscription cost.
Many tipsters struggle to make a profit at all, let alone at BSP so that is to be commended.
Overall then we’re happy to award the Ten Pound Tipster a narrow PASSED rating as it has delivered a solid profit over the course of our trial.
Service Breakdown
Ease of use: The selections are sent out e-mail, usually around 6am UK time on the day of racing. There is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 1-2 bets per day on average the workload is very manageable.
Availability of prices: As above, the bets are all to be placed at Betfair SP so there is no issue with price availability.
Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was solid at 39% (including placed horses).
Advised Betting Bank: No betting bank is advised for the service but we used a 100 point bank for our trial. Given the fluctuations we experienced during our trial as described above however, a 150 point bank may be more appropriate here.
Subscription costs: The subscription costs at the time of writing are very reasonable at £10 per month or £69 per year.
OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED
The Ten Pound Tipster is a horse racing tipster who bets at Betfair SP on UK and Irish racing.
They made 33 points profit during our nine month trial, which was solid rather than spectacular, but considering that was at Betfair SP it is not to be sniffed at.
This could be an option for those who have had their bookie accounts restricted and are looking for a low-cost tipster on the horses.
The tough times continue unfortunately for horse racing tipster the Ten Pound Tipster, with a loss of 15 points made to Betfair SP since our last update.
That means they are now 40 points down for our trial overall at BSP.
Just a reminder this is a service that advises all bets to Betfair SP, so there are no separate results at advised prices.
A shame to see the loss of form over the last month as they had been doing well up until then; let’s hope they can turn it round again over the next month.
Horse racing tipster the Ten Pound Tipster has bounced back nicely over the last month, with a profit of 8 points made to Betfair SP since our last update.
That means they are now 23 points up for our trial overall at BSP.
There’s been a slide backwards over the last month for horse racing tipster the Ten Pound Tipster unfortunately, with a loss of 21 points made to Betfair SP since our last update.
That means they are now 15 points up for our trial overall at BSP.
Just a reminder this is a service that advises all bets to Betfair SP, so there are no separate results at advised prices.
The highlight so far has been Sharona, a horse that won at a BSP of 60, which obviously helped things along. A few more winners like that would be very welcome!
We are starting a new trial today of a horse racing service called the Ten Pound Tipster.
The name comes from the idea that even at just £10 stakes, this tipster has reportedly made very good profits.
It is also the current cost of subscription, which is set at just £10 per month (at the time of writing).
Confident in the systems they had developed, they have been running them live since January 2022 and have now made a reported 394 points profit at Betfair SP.
That is quite a total to have amassed and certainly piqued our interest. Any service that can make a profit at BSP is worthy of attention and to have made that much profit in less than two years is quite remarkable.
Tips are sent out early in the morning and there is always the option to use bookies if you wish, which the tipster says are likely to beat the Betfair SP prices.
On average there are around 2-3 tips per day, with some days having four. All tips are one point each-way bets.
Without further ado then we will get this review under way of a refreshingly cheaply-priced tipster and keep our fingers crossed they can maintain the strong results reported on their website.
Results will be updated here as we go along as usual so you can see how they are getting on.
Cleeve Racing is a well-established horse racing tipping service that offers professional-grade tips from a seasoned expert.
With a long history in the industry, they aim to provide punters with consistent profits by leveraging their in-depth knowledge and experience of racing.
We originally reviewed the service back in 2020 when it received a failed rating unfortunately.
However, a change of tipster in 2022 seemed to have resulted in dramatically improved performance, with 340 points profit reportedly made at an ROI of 20% from starting up in May 2022 to the start of our trial in October 2023.
So we were eager to take a look at this new tipster for Cleeve Racing and commenced a live trial of their tips last year.
Results
When it comes to the numbers, the new tipster has unfortunately underperformed across several key metrics however.
Over the review period, Cleeve Racing recorded a Loss of -128 points, which is a substantial decline for any betting service.
This negative outcome is mirrored in their Bank Growth, which stands at -64%—a pretty big hit to the betting bank.
The Strike Rate of 41% (including placed horses) suggests that while nearly half of their bets were successful during our trial, the winners weren’t enough to offset the losses, leading to a negative return.
Their ROI (Return on Investment) was a concerning -22%, meaning for every £100 staked, there was a loss of £22 on average.
These figures highlight the challenging reality for subscribers who have seen their betting bank diminish rather than grow during our trial period.
In light of the results, it’s clear that Cleeve Racing has not lived up to its reputation during our review period.
The combination of a significant points loss, a negative strike rate, and a declining betting bank culminates in an overall disappointing performance.
For now, we have to give Cleeve Racing a FAILED verdict unfortunately.
Unless there is a remarkable turnaround in their results, we could not recommended this service at the current time.
Service Breakdown
Ease of Use: Cleeve Racing is straightforward to follow, with an average of 1 bet per day, making it a manageable service for most punters. Bets are sent out on the day of racing usually, but with plenty of time to place the bets. The tips come with detailed reasoning, providing a good level of transparency and insight into the selection process.
Availability of Prices: One of the service’s strengths is the availability of prices. The tips are usually advised at odds that are widely available across the major bookmakers, which means that subscribers should be able to secure the same odds without too much difficulty.
Strike Rate: The strike rate during our review period was 41% (including placed horses), which is respectable and suggests that Cleeve Racing can find winners on a consistent basis.
However, despite this relatively solid strike rate, the winners have not been enough to counterbalance the losses, resulting in a significant loss overall.
Advised Betting Bank: No betting bank was advised that we could see, so we used a 200pt bank for the purposes of our review. With a loss of -128 points during the review period, that represented a 64% reduction in the bank which is quite a substantial hit.
Subscription Costs: The service is priced at £40 per month or £329 per year at the time of writing. These are relatively high subscription fees, especially considering the results achieved during our trial.
OVERALL VERDICT: FAILED
Cleeve Racing has been a well-regarded name in the horse racing tipping industry and with a new tipster installed in 2022 reporting very promising results, we had high hopes for our re-review of the service.
Despite such hopes however, the service sadly struggled during our review period, recording a loss of -128 points and a troubling ROI of -22%.
Given these results, we must unfortunately give Cleeve Racing a FAILED verdict at this time. We will keep an eye on the service to see if they can turn it around, but for the time being it is not a service we can recommend.
It continues to be a bit of a struggle unfortunately for horse racing tipster Cleeve Racing, with a loss of 6 points made to advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 112 points down for our trial overall at advised prices.
There’s been a slight improvement at Betfair SP, with a profit of 13 points made since our last update. However, they are still 123 points down for our trial overall at BSP.
Small signs of a recovery lately with 3 winners in the last 5 bets and quite a few seconds over the last month, so hopefully they can build on that and start to reduce the deficit.
Not much sign of an improvement unfortunately for horse racing tipster Cleeve Racing, with a loss of 4 points made to advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 106 points down for our trial overall at advised prices.
Things just can’t seem to get going for horse racing tipster Cleeve Racing at the moment, with a loss of 15 points made to advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 53 points down for our trial overall at advised prices.
It’s a similar story at Betfair SP, with a loss of 20 points made since our last update and 64 points lost for our trial overall at BSP.
We are starting to think we are a jinx for this service. When we reviewed it a few years ago it struggled, then when our review ended they went and made 340 points profit. Now when we are reviewing again they are down. 🙁
Well it’s just bad luck of course rather than a jinx but hopefully it turns around for them soon.
Still a little bit of a struggle for horse racing tipster Cleeve Racing recently, with a loss of 8 points made to advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 38 points down for our trial overall at advised prices.
It’s a similar story at Betfair SP, with a loss of 3 points made since our last update and 44 points lost for our trial overall at BSP.
Just a reminder that this is a service we originally reviewed a few years ago, but they got a new tipster in May 2022 and the results since then have been greatly improved, so in many ways this is like a new review.

In any event, a solid start so far – let’s see if they can push on from here.
Every once in a while here at Honest Betting Reviews we like to give services we have reviewed in the past a second look.
This could be because they have had a significant reversal in fortunes, a change of strategy or have revamped their service altogether.
An example of this is a service we reviewed some time ago but that has come up on our radar once again after major changes – and much improved results – and that is Cleeve Racing.
This is a horse racing tipster we originally reviewed back in 2020 and to be frank, it had a pretty horrible time during that trial.
Despite being a respected service with strong results coming into our trial, unfortunately they finished over 100 points down at the end of our review.
Now 2020, as you will no doubt remember, was a tough time for racing (and just about everything else!) as racing was cancelled due to covid and then had a revised and condensed schedule.
Whatever the difficulties faced however, sadly the service just didn’t perform.
However, in May 2022 Cleeve Racing got a new tipster and since then it has looked like a completely different service.
In many ways of course, getting a new tipster is like starting a new service, so perhaps it isn’t even accurate to call this a “re-review” at all and calling it a “new review” would be more accurate.
In any event, we don’t want to get too bogged down in semantics so let’s get down to the brass tacks instead.
Since the new tipster – a chap called Mike with many years of experience as a professional punter – took over in May 2022, he has made a superb 340 points profit.
That has been achieved with an excellent return on investment (ROI) of just over 20%.
Fifteen out of the seventeen months Mike has been tipping have been profitable, which is the kind of consistency we like to see!
[In case you missed it, Mike & Cleeve have also produced a FREE Ten to Follow Guide for the jumps season, which you can grab here].
With such solid results under their belts we are keen to see how the new revamped Cleeve Racing gets on under a live trial. Hopefully we won’t jinx it this time…
Anyway, we will kick off the trial today and will update results here as we go along as usual.

They continue to fare somewhat worse at Betfair SP, with a profit of 7 points made since our last update, but 76 points lost at BSP for our trial to date.
So still a lot of work to do here to turn things around.
Also of note is that they have upped the staking over the last month or so from 1 point each-way bets to 2 point each-way bets. So members’ betting banks would need to adjust accordingly.
They continue to fare a little worse at Betfair SP, with no change since our last update, meaning they are still 83 points down at BSP for our trial to date.
Let’s hope the recent improvement is a sign of larger turnaround in their fortunes.
They continue to fare a little worse at Betfair SP, with a loss of 7 points made since our last update and 83 points lost at BSP for our trial to date.
This one could certainly do with a turnaround in fortunes soon.
Things have been going slightly worse at Betfair SP, with a loss of 26 points made since our last update and 76 points lost at BSP for our trial to date.
Let’s see if they can start to turn things around over the next month.
Things have been going slightly worse at Betfair SP, with a loss of 21 points made since our last update and 48 points lost at BSP for our trial to date.
Hopefully a bit of a break over Xmas will enable them to recharge the batteries and get going again afterwards.
We are starting a new review today of a horse racing service called All Weather Place.
This is a tipster based at the Betting Gods tipster platform and they take a rather different approach to betting than most horse racing tipsters out there.
As the name suggests, they focus solely on all-weather racing and just on the place market.
It’s an interesting approach and not one we’ve seen tried successfully before – although very few tipsters have tried it in fairness. Most focus on the win or each-way markets.
However, we have often wondered if there could be value in the place markets, with for example certain horses who tend to perform consistently and grab a place but rarely win.
The service has been going for just over a year now and the results have been solid, with a shade under 50 points profit made in total.
That has come with a good strike rate of 40% and a decent return on investment (ROI) of 9%.
The good news is that all results are at Betfair SP, so there are no worries for those who have had their bookie accounts restricted.
We are always open to new ideas and approaches to betting so will be interesting to see how this one gets on in our live trial.
Results will be updated here as we go along as usual so you can see how they are getting on.

One of the first services we reviewed back when launching this website was a horse racing service called Racing Consultants.
In our original review back in 2015 (see below) it made an excellent 135 points profit, earning a deserved PASSED rating.
Regular followers will know one of the most important qualities we look for in a service is longevity – the ability to produce a long-term profit over the course of many years.
That proves a service is not just a flash in the pan or had a lucky run, but has a genuine edge over the bookies.
It is these time-tested services that tend to prove their worth in the long run, whilst other services fall by the wayside.
So with the service continuing to perform very well after our original review ended, we though it was time for a follow-up review to track the results fully again and see what they could deliver.
When we did our original review there were two tipsters – Rory Delargy and David Massey, but now it is just Rory.
So perhaps the name should be changed to “Racing Consultant” (singular) rather then “Racing Consultants.”
In any event, Mr Delargy is well known in racing circles, being chief British racing correspondent for the Irish Field newspaper, and also writes a daily column for the Irish Daily Star, having previously been a regular pundit on Timeform Radio and William Hill Racing Radio – so clearly knows his stuff.
He provides detailed write-ups and analysis of the tips so you can see the level of knowledge and insight Rory has.
We proofed the tips for over two years in our re-review, which gave us a very good body of data – over 1700 bets in fact.
At the end of all that, Rory finished with a profit of 91 points at advised prices.
That came with a solid strike rate of 24% (including placed horses) and a return on investment of 4%.
Overall then across our two reviews, the service has made 226 points profit, which is highly commendable.
The results at Betfair SP weren’t quite as impressive, with a loss of 7 points made for our re-review.
Since starting up ten years ago, the Racing Consultants have made 1100 points profit, results which we have no reason to doubt given the accuracy of their reported results across our two extensive proofing periods.
That puts them right up there with the top tipsters in the sport.
Whilst the results in our re-review were solid rather than spectacular, what you get with this service is consistency and long-term profitability, which is what counts most in the end.
There are very few services out there that are still going after ten years, let alone making over 1,000 points profit.
That proves a clear edge over the bookies and puts them in elite company.
At the end of the day, it’s this consistency and standing the test of time that is far more valuable than a tipster that shines bright for a short time then fizzles out.
So it’s a clear PASSED rating for the Racing Consultants from us and a service well worth adding to the portfolio.
Service Breakdown
Ease of use: There are around 2 bets per day on average, with tips are normally sent out in the morning of racing.
Availability of prices: Some prices do get pushed in initially and as mentioned above the Betfair SP results did not generate a profit for our re-review so it is advisable to take the early prices if you can.
Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was solid at 24%. That means there are some drawdowns to cope with so a bit of patience is required if you want to follow this service.
Advised Betting Bank: The advised betting bank is 100 points which is perhaps a little on the low side as we did go 67 points down at one point in the trial, which would be two thirds of the bank and a little too close to comfort for some. So if you wanted to be on the safe side we think a 150 point bank would be advisable.
Subscription costs: The subscription costs are fair considering the consistent results they have achieved, at £29.99 per month or £199 per year at the time of writing.
OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED
Racing Consultants is a horse racing tipping service that has been going for ten years. It was originally made up of two tipsters but for the last few years it has just been Rory Delargy providing the tips.
We reviewed the service back in 2015 when it made 135 points profit and in our re-review it added another 91 points profit.
In total the service has made 1,100 points profit since 2014, putting it into the elite group of tipsters who have made over 1,000 points profit.
For longevity and consistency, this ranks as one of the top tipsters out there and is well worth adding to the portfolio.
There’s been a bit of a retracement lately for horse racing tipster Racing Consultants, with a loss of 25 points made at advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 85 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

As mentioned before the selections come with detailed write-ups so you can see Rory really knows his stuff – and not just in terms of being knowledgeable about racing but turning that expertise into profit.
There’s been a slight step backwards for horse racing tipster Racing Consultants over the last month, with 18 points lost at advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 12 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.
The results at Betfair SP have fallen a little behind those at advised prices, with 33 points lost since our last update and 23 points lost for our trial overall at BSP.
Just a reminder this is a re-review of a service we originally trialed way back in 2015 when it made 135 points profit and that has made over 1,000 points profit in total at advised prices.
It’s nice to go back and see one of the old favourites still going and performing well, let’s see if it can kick on now after a tricky month.
The results at Betfair SP are slightly lagging but still in the green, with 10 points profit made for our trial so far at BSP.
Tips are normally sent out late morning/early afternoon, so the markets are well formed by that stage. They also come with detailed write-ups so you can see Rory who provides the selections has really done his homework.
One of the first services we reviewed back when launching this website was a horse racing service called Racing Consultants.
In our original review back in 2015 (see below) it made an excellent 135 points profit, earning a deserved PASSED rating.
We then updated our review back in 2017, at which point it had made 255 points profit since we began following the service.
Regular followers will know one of the most important qualities we look for in a service is longevity – the ability to produce a long-term profit over the course of many years.
That proves a service is not just a flash in the pan or had a lucky run, but has a genuine edge over the bookies. It is these time-tested services that tend to prove their worth in the long run, whilst other services fall off and disappear.
In this spirit it is noteworthy that the Racing Consultants have continued to produce impressive results after our last review update and are now a massive 1,000 points up in total and have a body of work going back over eight years.
That puts them in a very exclusive club of tipsters and always makes us sit up and take notice.
So it is high time to take another look at the service and update our original review from a few years ago.
Just a note that when we did our original review there were two tipsters – Rory Delargy and David Massey, but now it is just Rory.
That hasn’t harmed the results at all – in fact since Rory took solo charge in 2017 the results have been just as impressive, if not better.
Mr Delargy is well known in racing circles, being chief British racing correspondent for the Irish Field newspaper, and also writes a daily column for the Irish Daily Star, having previously been a regular pundit on Timeform Radio and William Hill Racing Radio.
What you get with the service is detailed write-ups and analysis of the tips so you can see the level of knowledge and insight Rory has.
Anyway, without further ado we will get this re-review underway and hopefully we haven’t jinxed things with our build-up here…
It’s worth pointing out there is currently a half-price trial for the first month, which is a decent offer given the results achieved.
Here at Honest Betting Reviews, we don’t like to just review a service for three months and then forget about it.
No, we like to keep monitoring services to see if they continue meriting the original rating we gave them.
So in that spirit, today we are updating a service we have been following for close to 20 months – theRacing Consultants.
This is a horse racing tipping service with tips provided by two industry experts, Rory Delargy and David Massey.
They originally gained an approved rating from us, notching up a very impressive 135 points of profit during the three month trial back in 2015.
It has been something of a rollercoaster ride since then though, with good profits made in the remainder of 2015 following our trial, but then a tough 2016, with a loss of 17 points made on the year.
Thankfully 2017 has started off more positively, with 60 points of profit having been made to date.
Overall then since we have been following them, theRacing Consultantshave made 255 points profit, which is a decent total.
And since the service started in June 2014, they have made 545 points profit. The yearly totals are as follows:-
2014 – 197 points profit
2015 – 305 points profit
2016 – 17 point loss
2017 to date – 60 points profit
So if you had been following them right from the start, you would have done very well.
However, we can only speak of how they have done from when we started monitoring the tips, so what is our feeling now after 20 months?
OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED
We believe that having made profits of over 250 points since we started following them, theRacing Consultantsare still deserving of a recommended rating.
We recognise however that many people will have found the going very tough during 2016 and to have made a loss over the course of a whole year is disappointing.
The majority of punters will have deserted them during 2016, which is understandable given that you would have to pay subscription fees on top of having lost money.
So we are downgrading them from 4.5 stars to 3.5 stars to take the rocky year of 2016 into account.
We will continue monitoring things and hopefully results will continue in the positive fashion they have started in 2017.
Normally when we hear the words “industry insiders” we make sure our wallets are firmly closed and head for the exit as quickly as possible.
It is usually the fastest way to the poor house to follow so-called “experts” who claim to have some kind of inside knowledge that will make you untold riches. The vast majority of the time it is either lies – they don’t have any special insights – or the info they do have is worse than useless.
So we have been pleasantly surprised by the achievements of two well-known racing industry professionals, Rory Delargy and David Massey, during our trial of their Racing Consultants service.
Rory commentates on William Hill Radio and Timeform Radio and is also an Irish Field Naps Correspondent.
David Massey – aka “Chutney Dave” – is also a commentator on William Hill Radio and works for Bet Racing Nation.
To be fair, their “industry insiders” tag is more to do with the fact that they work in the business and so living and breathing it every day has given them a great depth of knowledge, rather than being given any mysterious “inside info” about horses supposedly due to run well.
The hard work they put in has clearly paid off as they amassed a superb 135 points profit during our trial at advised prices and 129 points profit at Betfair SP.
Here are the results in graph format:
Profit graph for Racing Consultants
As you can see, a very dramatic jump occurred around half way through the trial, when they landed an audacious 66/1 double – whilst backing the selections as singles as well.
That gave the results a boost of about 80 points in one fell swoop. Even taking that out of the equation though, they still made over 50 points profit from all their other selections, which is none too shabby.
You will note the very close totals there between advised prices and Betfair SP, which is very encouraging. So you should be able to just about match the published results just using Betfair.
You can view a full reasoning behind the tips each day via the website and it is reassuring to see the amount of work that has gone in to producing the selections.
Looking at their performance overall, they have made just under 400 points profit since the service started in June 2014. That equates to 25 points profit per month.
Now we haven’t officially proofed the previous results prior to our three month trial, but we have been subscribers to the service since late 2014 so can testify that the published results are accurate.
They have shown a decent level of consistency too, with 12 out of 16 months being winning months.
So a definite pass rating for the Racing Consultants. Let’s have a look now at how the service breaks down.
Service Breakdown
Ease of use: OK – there are on average 3.4 bets per day, so a bit of time is needed each day to put the bets on.
Availability of prices: OK – tips are normally sent out in the morning, with best bookies prices quoted. Some of those prices do get pushed in initially. But with the Betfair SP results nearly equaling the advised prices, that should not be a problem.
Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial might be a little low for some people’s tastes at 15%. That means there are some losing runs to cope with and patience is required if you want to follow this service.
Advised Betting Bank: The advised betting bank is 100 points which we think is just about OK. There have been a couple of 40-odd point drawdowns over the lifetime of the service, so if you wanted to be on the safe side we think a 150 point bank would be advisable.
Subscription costs: The subscription costs are very fair considering the quality of results they have achieved, at £39.99 per month or £199 per year.
OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED
Overall we have been very impressed with the results achieved by the Racing Consultants. We were perhaps a little lucky to hit them at their best time, with a double that added 80 points to the bank landed during our trial.
At the same time though, they do advise quite a few of these special bets, a number of which have been close, so were maybe due one coming in for them.
Even leaving that aside however, they still made over 50 points profit during the trial. And the fact that the Betfair SP results almost matched the advised price results means you should be able to achieve close to the published results – which is not something you can say about every service we review here.
So in summary we are delighted to find some “industry insiders” who actually know what they are doing for once and put in genuine hard work to achieve great results for their subscribers.
TheRacing Consultants have been in fantastic form since our last update, producing a superb 88 points of profit at advised prices and 96 points profit at Betfair SP.
That means their totals for the trial now stand at:
Their results were helped greatly by a magnificent double a couple of weeks ago at Catterick, where they firstly landed Di’s Gift at 5/1 and then followed it up with Llewellyn at 10/1 an hour later.
They backed not only the singles but also a double at 66/1 to give 78 points profit on the day. Awesome stuff!
That now means they have more than doubled the bank since the beginning of our trial two months ago. Highly commendable work from the lads.
We have just under a month to go on this one, but barring some kind of dramatic collapse a la the Australian batting line-up, this one looks headed for the winning systems list.
