Sure Favs

Sure Favs – Final Review

Sure Favs is a horse racing betting system that focuses on backing favourites using an automated strategy through the Cloud Bet Bot.

The idea behind the service is to generate steady, low-risk profits by betting on horses at the top of the market across UK and Irish racing.

When we first reviewed Sure Favs back in 2021, the service produced excellent results, making an impressive +167 points profit during our live trial. That strong performance earned it a positive rating at the time and suggested it could be a reliable, long-term system for backing favourites.

However, since that review, results have unfortunately taken a turn for the worse. In our updated testing period, the service has recorded a loss of 143 points, effectively wiping out the previous gains. While the system remains fully automated and easy to follow, the long-term figures now balance out at roughly break-even overall.

Conclusion

After seeing Sure Favs perform so well initially, it’s disappointing that the profits couldn’t be maintained over the longer term. The losses since our last review have just about cancelled out the earlier success, leaving things at around level overall.

So, on balance, we’re wrapping up our review of Sure Favs with a neutral rating. It’s neither a standout winner nor a complete flop — just one that’s ended up breaking even in the long run.

Sure Favs – New Review

3rd May 2022

We are starting a new review today of a betting service called Sure Favs.

Well that’s not strictly accurate in fact – it’s actually picking up from a review we did previously.

Sure Favs is an automated betting system from the Exponential Bet (or Expo Bet for short) suite of services and we previously took a look at it as part of a broader review of four of their systems.

Although as a whole the four systems didn’t make a profit over the course of our review, Sure Favs was the one service that did perform well, producing an excellent 167 points profit during our trial.

We have kept an eye on results since our trial ended and it has continued to perform well, as you can see from the results graph below from the main Sure Favs system:-

Sure Favs main graph

Sure Favs – Main Exchange & BSP (Straight)

So we thought it would be a good time to give Sure Favs another look and put it through a dedicated trial of its own here at HBR.

In a nutshell Sure Favs is an automated strategy that places bets automatically on your Betfair account using software called Cloud Bet Bot.

We have tested the software out extensively across a number of reviews now and it works very well, placing bets seamlessly on your Betfair account to your specified stakes, all without the need for a VPN or leaving your computer running all day. Impressive stuff.

As the name suggests, Sure Favs is about backing favourites, one horse per race according to given criteria identified by Expo Bet.

There are essentially three strategies that form part of the service:

  • Sure Favs Main
  • Sure Favs High
  • Sure Favs Foundation

It is recommended to use a 100 point bank for each.

For a bit more info about the service, here is Ryan from Expo Bet with a quick run-down:

So it should be an interesting review and one we are looking forward to given the solid long-term results this one has amassed.

As always we will update results here as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out Sure Favs from Exponential Bet for yourself here.

Outplayed Full Review

Outplayed (previously known as Profit Accumulator) is a matched betting product that promises to teach you how to make easy profits with matched betting. So does it work?

We are pleased to say the answer to that question is an emphatic “yes!” This can certainly make teach you the very best techniques of matched betting and how to utilise the offers that are available.

It uses the free bets that bookmakers and other gambling websites likes casinos and bingo sites offer to encourage our custom to create low-risk and positive EV (estimated value) opportunities.

This is done using betting exchanges, which basically allow you to bet against other people and crucially, bet against the outcome you have backed with the bookmaker, thus using the free bet element to create a low-risk, value bet.

The bookies are in fierce competition for our custom so are constantly offering new incentives to entice both existing and new customers with free bets and bonuses.

That means there are daily opportunities to take advantage of these offers and optimise them for maximum gain. Can’t say fairer that that!

What do you get with Outplayed?

Outplayed is a complete package for taking advantage of all the free bets and bonuses offered by online gambling sites.

It is suitable for total beginners and provides a complete package to guide you through the process of making the most out of these offers, including:

  • Training videos that explain on a step-by-step basis how to set up the bets.
  • Lists of both the introductory offers – for opening a new account with a bookmaker or other gambling site like a bingo site – and ongoing offers for those already with accounts.
  • E-mails containing the best ongoing offers are sent out to members
  • A forum with a great deal of useful information and helpful discussions where you can learn from people who have been doing this a long time and have made it work.
  • Support should you have any questions about the offers and how they work.

What Sets Outplayed Apart from other Matched Betting Sites

Outplayed is undoubtedly one of the very best matched betting sites out there, with some clear advantages over the competition. This includes (numbers at time of doing review):

1) Significantly more offers.

– 55 Sportsbook Offers

– 150 reload offers

– 39 Casino Offers

– 17 Bingo Offers

As you can see, that’s a huge number of offers and a great opportunity to make the most of these offers.

2) Profit Tracker software to help Outplayed members track their results without needing separate spreadsheets.

3) New Oddsmatching software with odds that update on the fly (so you don’t need to refresh to pull in the latest odds).

4) More (and better) video tutorials

5) An active forum buzzing with knowledge and advice.

How much money can you make?

Down to the nitty gritty then, just how much money can you make with Outplayed?

As we said in our review of Profit Maximiser, the answer to that question really depends on how much time you are willing to put in.

There are people on the forum claiming to have made over £25,000 from being members – amusingly there are various threads corresponding to how much people have made – “the £25k club, “the £10k club,” “the £5k club” and so on where people quote their total winnings and discuss how it has been made etc.

Now we can’t verify if any of those stories are true, but we would say it is possible to make reasonable profits from doing enough of the offers and bonuses if you follow the advice of Outplayed and execute the offers correctly.

What would probably be more useful to know is how many offers are available and the potential value of the offers.

To make things easier, we will deal firstly with the introductory offers and then go on to the ongoing offers.

get a free trial of Outplayed

Introductory Offers

So in terms of the introductory offers that the bookies and casinos etc provide for opening a new account, here is what we calculated the offers added up to at the time of this review:

Type Deposited Max Potential Profit Notes
Bookies’ Free Bets  £2115  £1334
Casino  £525  £263 Returns estimated – will vary
Casino (no deposit)  £0 £190 Returns estimated – will vary
Financials £300 £110 For new spread bet accounts
Bingo  £270 £270 Returns estimated – will vary
TOTAL  £3,210 £2,167

As you can see, there are a very good number of introductory offers spread across the different sites.

This covers all the bookies including the well-known high street names like William Hill and Ladbrokes, so if you already have accounts with them and others, you should deduct the value of their offers from the totals above.

Some of the casino offers are higher risk, so you could actually lose money playing those, although the theory is that doing enough of them you should derive positive EV (estimated value).

It is all up to you of course and what your aversion to risk is – you may prefer just to take the free bets from the bookies and be done with it.

We would say it is worth doing some of the bingo offers even though they carry risk as some of the bonuses are very good.

Anyway, the bottom line is you there is plenty of value from the introductory offers. Then you get onto the ongoing offers…

Ongoing – or “Reload” – Offers

After you have done the introductory offers it is then on to the ongoing – or “reload” offers. This is a great opportunity to play more bonuses on a regular basis (or at least as long as your bookie/casino accounts are open).

Having done the introductory offers, you will have a pretty good idea of how the offers work by now and it should be like second nature.

You will be able to roll through things much more quickly now.

There are two methods of finding out about the ongoing offers:-

  1. The e-mails that are sent out by Outplayed, which list the best offers of the day, with links to the offers so you can click straight through.
  2. The offers that are listed in the Platinum Forum in the members area. There are lots of great additional offers in here, where the members discuss the terms and how to maximise the gains from the various offers.

Having gone through the two sources of the ongoing offers for the month, these are the values of the offers we calculated (at the time of the review):

Type Deposited Potential Profit
E-mails  £780  £475
Other offers  £320  £180
TOTAL  £1100  £655

So very positive amounts over the course of the month. There is the possibility of doing more – it is really a question of how much time you have on your hands to roll through the offers.

Things to be aware of

Whilst we think Outplayed is a fantastic service, there are some things to be aware of before signing up:-

  1. If you already have Profit Maximiser, it is probably not worth getting this as well as they offer pretty much the same thing.
  2. It does take quite a bit of time to learn the ropes and understand how everything works. There are excellent training videos provided, so we recommend you watch those first and really let it all sink in before launching into all the offers.
  3. If you just use the offers and don’t place any other bets, the bookies will shut down or limit your accounts pretty quickly. But there are tricks you can use to bet and keep your accounts open for longer. There are good sections on the website and forum explaining how best to do this.
  4. The offers vary greatly in quality – to be honest some are not worth doing because they involve huge rollover requirements. Again, there is useful guidance on the website as to which are the best offers and what the value of the various offers is – called the “estimated value.”
  5. These offers are not available in every region and matched betting works best for those in the UK and Ireland, where such offers are available. Please contact Outplayed for any questions regarding the availability of such offers in the country you live in.

OVERALL VERDICT – PASSED

Outplayed is a superb product and we are delighted to give it a firm recommended rating.

There are a plethora of introductory offers (depending on how many bookie accounts you already have) and then lots of ongoing offers too.

It will take a bit of time to get up to speed, but once you have learned the ropes and got the hang of it, Outplayed shows you the best offers and bonuses on an ongoing basis and how to utilise them for the maximum gain.

Good luck and of you do join up, please let us know how you get on with it.

Football Edge – Final Update

Just to say that following our last update below, the service said they would be taking a break and reviewing things after a poor run of form, with a view to starting again at the start of the new season (’24-’25).

Well we are a couple of months into the new season and are yet to see any tips posted. Nor have they responded to e-mails we have sent them and when trying to log in to the website it gives an error message.

So we can only presume they have decided not to recommence the service and we will therefore put this review into abeyance.

If they do restart the service at some point in the future we can look at recommencing our review but for the time being we will put a halt to things here.

Football Edge – Results Update

18th April 2024

The tough times continue for football betting service Football Edge, with a loss of £135 made to advised stakes since our last update.

That means they are now £1183 down for our trial overall to advised stakes.

You can view full results here.

It’s been a bit surprising to see the results so far as this service came into our trial with very promising long-term results.

We’ll just have to see if they can manage to recover over the rest of our trial and make back those losses.

Football Edge – Results Update

6th March 2024

It’s been a rough start to our trial of football betting service Football Edge, with a loss of £1048 made so far to advised stakes.

You can view full results here.

This is a service that advises bets from across the European leagues and are mainly in the match odds and Asian handicap markets.

They stated that they have been testing a second algorithm for the last two years which they had planned to integrate into the service at the beginning of March but in light of recent results, went live with in the last week of February.

This means that there will be a lot more selections and some of them will be backing the away team to win.

They also stated that this (i.e. February) was their worst month in four and a half years, which is what we sometimes refer to as “reviewer’s curse.”

Hopefully it was just bad luck and they can get things going in the right direction again soon.

Football Edge – New Review

10th January 2024

We are starting a new trial today of a football service called Football Edge

It is based on a betting algorithm that identifies value in the football markets and then posts bets to members accordingly.

They went live with the system in 2019 and the results reported on their website since then look very impressive:

  • 2019: +£1,969
  • 2020: +£3,656
  • 2021: +£3,224
  • 2022: +£3,935
  • 2023: +£2,044

         Total: +£14,827

Each of those yearly totals is from a starting bank of £2,500 at the beginning of the year, which is reset at the end of the year.

They say they have achieved over 120% return on investment (ROI) each year, although technically what they mean is 120% return on capital (ROC) rather than return on investment ROI.

The staking is based on the Kelly Criterion and is calculated for you on the website based on your starting bank.

Looking at the results, some of the stakes are very hefty, with stakes at some point getting up over £350 per bet.

Most of the bets are on heavy favourites so in theory the strike rate should be high and losing streaks short, but those are still pretty big stakes. A few losses in a row could impact the bank quite considerably.

Bets are from across the European leagues and are mainly in the match odds and Asian handicap markets. Results are recorded from Betfair, which is good so hopefully it should be possible to match their official results (or close to them anyway).

This is an intriguing service with very encouraging results so we are keen to see how it performs under live trial conditions.

We will get things going today and will report back soon on how they are getting on.

In the meantime you can check out Football Edge for yourself here.

Winning Post Profits – Full Review

Winning Post Profits is a horse racing tipster based at the Sure Win tipster platform and they have been going since June 2021. So just over 3 years now.

The tips are provided by a chap called Sam Darby and come with detailed write-ups explaining the reasoning behind the selections.

Sam uses a variety of bet types including singles, doubles, trebles, forecasts and the like. These multiple bets can be at very large odds of 500/1+ so there is the opportunity to land a massive winner.

As mentioned during our review, the staking is more variable than with most tipsters we review, with up to 14 points per bet being staked.

Some bets for example are 4pts e/w or 5pts e/w.

Sam says the reason for using this staking is: “to try to make it less confusing for people when recommending very small stakes forecasts or multis. I took the view that people are more likely to be confused by 0.05 points stakes than 0.5 points stakes, so I made the stakes for standard singles higher to hopefully make it clearer/less confusing.”

That makes sense really in view of the multiple bets the service uses, to keep everything in proportion.

Anyway, we followed the service for 6 months which gave us a good sample size of 194 bets.

At the end of our review they finished with a solid profit of 13 points

That was achieved with a strike rate of 27% (including placed horses) and a return on investment (ROI) of 2%

The service advises using a 300 point betting bank, so the growth in the bank over the course of our trial was only 4%.

At Betfair SP the results weren’t quite as good, with a loss of 41 points made, so it looks like you will need bookie accounts to make the most of this service.

Overall then given just a small profit was made and the low bank growth and ROI over our trial, it only seems fair to award Winning Post Profits a NEUTRAL rating.

A decent effort to have made a slight profit, but it’s not quite enough in context of the overall metrics to warrant a passed rating at this stage.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The selections are sent out e-mail, usually in the afternoon or evening before racing. There is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 1 bets per day on average the workload is pretty manageable. Most bets come at the weekends, so there are often no bets for a few days during the week then around 4-5 bets on a Friday/Saturday.

Availability of prices: We didn’t experience too many issues with price availability during the course of our trial.

Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was solid at 27% (including placed horses).

Advised Betting Bank: A 300 point betting bank is recommended for following the service. That seems fairly reasonable to us and was never in jeopardy during our trial.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs at the time of writing are £39 per month or £327 per year.

OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL

After a six month trial, horse racing tipster Winning Post Profits finished with a profit of 13 points at advised prices.

With an ROI of 2% and bank growth of 4%, the service receives a NEUTRAL rating from us.

A solid effort but not quite enough to merit a passed rating at this stage.

Winning Post Profits – Results Update

12th September 2024

Things have picked up nicely for horse racing tipster Winning Post Profits, with a profit of 42 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 9 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Things have also picked up at Betfair SP, with a profit of 39 points made since our last update. However, they are still 28 points down for our trial overall at BSP.

As mentioned before, the staking with this service is more variable than with most tipsters we review, with up to 14 points per bet being staked so that is to be borne in mind when viewing the results and when choosing an appropriate betting bank for the service if you have signed up.

Winning Post Profits – Results Update

9th August 2024

It’s been a tough time lately for horse racing tipster Winning Post Profits, with a loss of 41 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 33 points down at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

They have fared somewhat worse at Betfair SP, with a loss of 48 points made since our last update and a loss of 67 points made for our trial overall at BSP.

In our last update we mentioned that the staking with this service goes up to 14 points per bet, which we described as “quite aggressive.”

However, Sam who runs the service points out that “The points totals used will be higher than what most are used to and that doesn’t mean the £ stakes should be higher but more that followers will want to adjust their £ per point staking that they have used elsewhere.

The reason I’ve always used a higher points total is to try to make it less confusing for people when recommending very small stakes forecasts or multis. I took the view that people are more likely to be confused by 0.05 points stakes than 0.5 points stakes, so I made the stakes for standard singles higher to hopefully make it clearer/less confusing.”

So in light of this information – and a 300 point bank being recommended for the service – it is perhaps better to describe the staking as more “variable” rather than “aggressive” than other services.

Anyway, hopefully that clears things up and the staking used makes sense in context of the multis etc being used. It also should be noted that this makes the current results look worse than they actually are, as at 1pt stakes the loss would be obviously much lower.

Winning Post Profits – Results Update

6th May 2024

It’s been a better time lately for horse racing tipster Winning Post Profits, with a profit of 56 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 9 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

They have fared a little worse at Betfair SP, with a profit of 40 points made since our last update but a loss of 19 points made for our trial so far at BSP.

It’s worth pointing out that staking is quite aggressive with this service at up to 14 points per bet, with some 8 and 10 point bets so far, so it can be quite volatile with this tipster.

A 300 point bank is recommended for following the service, but it could be prudent to go with a slightly larger bank to be on the safe side here.

Winning Post Profits – Results Update

6th May 2024

It’s been a tough start to our trial of horse racing tipster Winning Post Profits, with a loss of 47 points made to advised prices for our trial to date.

You can view full results here.

It’s a similar story at Betfair SP, with a loss of 59 points made for our trial so far.

It’s worth pointing out that staking is quite aggressive with this service at up to 14 points per bet, with some 8 and 10 point bets so far, so the results are certainly not as bad as they at first seem.

A 300 point bank is recommended for following the service, so most of the bank is still in tact.

Winning Post Profits – New Review

2nd April 2024

We are starting a new trial today of a horse racing service called Winning Post Profits

They are based at the Sure Win tipster platform and have been going since June 2021, so just under 3 years now.

The reported results in that time have been stellar, with over 1,000 points profit made in total.

That has been achieved with a solid strike rate of 36% and an excellent return on investment of 29%

The staking is quite aggressive with this service at up to 14 points per bet, so that needs to be taken into account both in terms of the profit total and the betting bank needed to follow the service.

A 300 point bank is recommended for following the service which takes this larger staking into account.

It is somewhat more of a selective service than many horse racing tipsters out there, with around 5 bets per week on average.

Tips are normally sent out the evening before racing, giving plenty of time to get the bets on.

The service is flat only and normally runs from March through December so it is a good time to be starting a review.

We will kick things off today then and will report back here soon as how things are going.

In the meantime you can check out Winning Post Profits for yourself here.

*ROI calculated here based on 1pt stakes. Calculating the ROI as a percentage of the total liability staked would give an ROI of 3.1%

Second Class Racing – Full Review

Second Class Racing is a horse racing laying service run out of the Betchat stable of tipsters, with tips provided by a chap called Mel Gee.

Mel and Betchat are the same team behind another service we are currently reviewing – First Class Racing.

Whilst that service focuses on selective back bets in top class racing, Second Class Racing does the opposite – it provides lay bets at a higher volume and in all classes of racing.

Over the years we’ve found very few successful laying services – really the only one being Little Acorns – and its complimentary service, Little Acorns Gold, which passed a review back in October 2022.

So we approached this review with a bit of trepidation to see whether another laying service could finally pass a review.

We wanted to give the service a proper look as there can be quite a bit of variance in laying services, so we followed the service for just over 6 months and proofed more than 500 bets in that time.

Selections are sent out via Telegram, where Mel posts a screenshot from Betfair with this picks, which looks like this:-

So you take a look at those and then try to place lay bets at the same price Mel has got.

The rules of the service are to lay at the advised price (always between 3.0 and 6.0) and not to take a larger price.

If a lay isn’t matched at the advised price, then it’s no bet.

You do not select “keep in play” or “take SP” on Betfair and there is no trading – it’s a “set and forget” approach. .

Not all of your lay bets will be matched but that’s okay – Betchat say that over the long run it should balance out in terms of missing both winning and losing lays.

In our own experience that was very much the case – we did have a few selections that we weren’t matched on over the course of the trial but a few of those were losers (as in the horse won), so it was actually a relief to have missed them.

There were also a few winning lays we weren’t matched on so overall it pretty much balanced out.

Anyway, after six months and 500 bets, how did it pan out?

Well we are pleased to report that a profit of 70 points was made, which is no mean feat in laying terms.

That was achieved with a very high strike rate of 85%, so the vast majority of lays were successful.

As is often the case with these things however, the unsuccessful lays did tend to come in batches.

Call it “natural variance,” “bad luck” or whatever you prefer, but either way it can be a little testing when you get a bunch of losers close together and your bank takes a significant hit.

However, in the long run Mel always bounced back and produced good runs of successful lays to rebuild the bank and ultimately finish the trial with a very healthy profit.

Whilst they do NOT advise following the service at Betfair SP, we also tracked the results at BSP just out of interest.

Laying all the selections at BSP would have given a profit of 70 points, exactly the same total as taking the advised prices.

Laying only those selections with a BSP below 6 (Mel’s cut-off point for a selection), would have given a profit of 52 points, which is mainly due to having less bets – only 334 compared to 500 following the recommended approach.

Whichever way you skin it then it’s been a very good trial and we are pleased to award Second Class Racing a PASSED rating.

That’s only the second laying service to have passed a review here at HBR (and still be operational), so well done to Mel Gee and the Betchat team!

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The selections are sent out by Telegram, usually around midday UK time on the day of racing. There is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 2-3 bets per day on average the workload is very manageable.

Availability of prices: As discussed above, there were some instances of prices being missed but overall this balanced out and wasn’t really an issue.

Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was very good at 85%, meaning a very high proportion of winning lays.

Advised Betting Bank: A 100 point bank is recommended for following the service which seems reasonable to us and was more than enough to cope with the ups and downs during our trial.

Subscription costs: Subscription costs are quite high at £199.97 per quarter or £599.97 per year, so realistically to make it worthwhile you would probably need a betting bank of at least £2,000.

That’s based on a recommended betting bank of 100 points, so that would be £20 per lay.

For our review period that would have produced £1400 profit, minus just under £400 in subscription costs if paying quarterly.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

Making a profit from lay betting is very tough. Testament to this is the fact that only one laying service has passed a review here at HBR and is still going – Little Acorns.

So it’s great to be able to say we finally have another successful trial of a laying service, with Second Class Racing producing 70 points profit at both advised prices and BSP.

It achieved that with a very high strike rate of 85% and gets a firm thumbs up from us with a PASSED rating.

With the subscription costs being quite high however we would recommend at least a £2,000 betting bank to make it worthwhile signing up.

For those that are able to stake at or above that level, Second Class Racing has produced excellent results over a six month trial and is well worth checking out.

Second Class Racing – Results Update

25th April 2024

It’s been an excellent month for horse racing laying service Second Class Racing, with a profit of 35 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 60 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

The rules of the service are to lay at the advised price (always between 3.0 and 6.0) and not to take a larger price. If a lay isn’t matched at the advised price, then it’s a no bet.

There is no trading – it’s a “set and forget” approach.

Whilst they do NOT advise following the service at Betfair SP, we have also tracked the results at BSP just out of interest.

Laying all the selections at BSP would have given a profit of 40 points since our last update and a profit of 59 points for our trial overall thus far.

Laying only those selections with a BSP below 6 (Mel’s cut-off point for a selection), would have given a profit of 53 points so far.

So all in all the results have been pretty similar whichever approach you’ve followed.

Second Class Racing – Results Update

21st March 2024

Horse racing laying service Second Class Racing has bounced back nicely lately, with a profit of 15 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 25 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

Laying all the selections at BSP would have given a profit of 21 points since our last update and a profit of 19 points for our trial overall thus far.

Laying only those selections with a BSP below 6 (Mel’s cut-off point for a selection), would have given a profit of 30 points so far.

Second Class Racing – Results Update

12th February 2024

It’s been a tough time lately for horse racing laying service Second Class Racing, with a loss of 33 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 10 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

Laying all the selections at BSP would have given a loss of 36 points since our last update and a loss of 2 points for our trial overall thus far.

Laying only those selections with a BSP below 6 (Mel’s cut-off point for a selection), would have given a profit of 22 points so far.

Just a note to say I’ve seen a few comments in the group chat about the recent losses and whilst it’s fully understandable to be disappointed, it’s important to take a long-term view of the results.

That’s why we always advise allowing for the full review to be completed before deciding whether to sign up to a service or not.

We tend to run reviews for at least six months these days – and often much longer – which allows us to get a really good look at a service and a big sample size of bets.

Reviewing over these extended periods allows us to cut out the “noise” of short-term fluctuations and see whether a service has a clear edge over the market.

So we have to give this one a little more time to play out before reaching a verdict. The recent losses have been tough to take but let’s see where they end up at by the end of the review.

Second Class Racing – Results Update

9th January 2024

More strong progress lately for horse racing laying service Second Class Racing, with a profit of 16 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 43 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

Laying all the selections at BSP would have given a profit of 17 points since our last update and 34 points profit for our trial overall thus far.

Laying only those selections with a BSP below 6.0 (Mel’s cut-off point for a selection), would have given a profit of 37 points so far.

Whichever way you’d been following the selections then would have given a very healthy profit since our trial started.

Second Class Racing – Results Update

11th December 2023

It’s been a strong start to our trial of horse racing laying service Second Class Racing, with a profit of 27 points made to advised prices so far after six weeks.

Laying all the selections at BSP would have given a profit of 17 points for our trial to date.

However, laying only those selections with a BSP below 6.0 (Mel’s cut-off point for a selection), would have given a profit of 29 points so far.

So will be interesting to see if that’s maintained during the rest of the review.

Second Class Racing – New Review

3rd November 2023

Today we are starting a new trial of a horse racing service called Second Class Racing

This comes from the same guy (Mel Gee) behind another service we are currently reviewing – First Class Racing.

Whilst that service focuses on selective back bets in top class racing, Second Class Racing kind of does the opposite – it provides lay bets at a much higher volume (up to 12 bets per day) and in various classes of racing, not just top class racing.

The results of the service so far have been very impressive:-

After 24 weeks the selections have:

  • Made £1,421 to 10 stakes…
  • Made an average of £59 per week…
  • Made a Return On Investment (ROI) of 17.5%
  • And achieved a strike rate of 85% (691 bets won out of 811).

So pretty strong results there, although it is still early days.

To find the selections Mel looks at Betfair between around 11 and 12 in the morning UK time and then posts the lay bets on Telegram with a screenshot of the lays placed on Betfair.

Not all of the selections will be matched and Mel’s advice is not to go chasing the prices – if a selection isn’t matched at the advised price, he says to just leave it.

All prices are between 3.0 and 6.0 so there is no risk of one unsuccessful lay wiping out your whole bank at huge odds as is the case with some laying services.

It is a “set and forget” strategy so once you have entered the lay bet on Betfair that is it – there is nothing further to do like trading or monitoring the market, your work for the day is done.

So a very novel approach here and it will be interesting to see how this one fares under a live trial. It would be good to have a profitable laying service as they have been few and far between over the years.

We will kick things off today then and will report back here soon on how it’s all going.

In the meantime you can check out Second Class Racing for yourself here.

Scottish Confidential – 4 Year Update

We originally reviewed Scottish Confidential (previously known as the Scottish Football Income Booster) back between 2020 and 2022.

It performed solidly in that trial but didn’t set the world alight and finished with a NEUTRAL rating.

However, we have continued to proof the selections since our trial ended and there has been a significant improvement in performance over the last two years.

Since our review ended, they have added a very impressive 65 points profit

That would be £6,500 profit at £100 per point stakes or £1,625 profit at £25 per point.

You can view full results here.

In football terms that is top notch, where grinding out any kind of profit is typically very hard.

They have really excelled over the last couple of years, accruing that profit at a return on investment of 10% and a strike rate of over 40%

As mentioned in our original trial, it’s a pretty simple service to follow. The selections are sent by e-mail, normally on Thursday and Friday ahead of the weekend’s games, giving plenty of time to get the bets on and there are around 15 bets per week.

With some of the bets coming in the Scottish League 1 and 2, prices can be a little sensitive so it is advisable to have as many bookie accounts available as possible and to get your bets on as quickly as you can.

As long as you have access to that though we are happy to upgrade Scottish Confidential to a firm PASSED rating.

The overall results for the service now stand at over 200 points profit, which have been proofed extensively here and elsewhere.

That puts it in the elite level of football tipsters who have stood the test of time and produced strong profits across many years of tipping.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

So in summary it’s a firm thumbs up from us for Scottish Confidential which has really stepped up its game over the last couple of years with 65 points profit made at a ROI of over 10%, putting it up there with the very best football tipsters.

A service well worth adding to the portfolio.

Scottish Football Income Booster – Final Review

8th July 2022

We have reached the end of our 20 month trial of Scottish Football Income Booster and here are the final results:-

Profit/Loss:   -4 point loss
Strike Rate:   44%
Bank Growth:   -4%

Scottish Football Income Booster – Full Review

The Scottish Football Income Booster (or SFIB for short) is a tipster that focuses solely on Scottish Football. The tips are provided by a chap who is known solely as “the Scotsman,” to keep his identity secret.

The Scotsman is a university educated maths whizz based just outside Glasgow (yes, he’s Scottish!) and his CV screams “Scottish football expert“.

With previous stints at leading bookmaking firms and an Asian-based private investment syndicate as a proprietary trader, in addition to acting as a quant-based hedge fund’s go-to Scottish betting consultant after he was head-hunted because of his vast local knowledge about players, teams and motivational issues likely to affect results.

So it is quite a resume for a tipster and as we often say, the results coming into our trial looked strong with a profit of over 180 points made since starting tipping in 2015/16.

We followed the tips for 20 months, which gave us some of the period when covid lockdowns were still in place and football results were a little skew-whiff, but then a full season of post-lockdowns when things went back to normal. Overall it gave us a good sample size of just over 300 bets in total.

Most of the bets are in the match odds 1X2 market, with a few in other specialist markets such over/under 2.5 goals, draw no bet (DNB) and double chance (DC).

They provide tips across the Scottish leagues, with everything from the Premiership down to League Two.

Whilst we gave the service a good long period to prove itself, unfortunately across the trial period it never really got going and in the end finished four points down.

That was only a -1% ROI and represented just 4% of our bank, so for all intents and purposes it pretty much broke even during our review.

On that basis we think a fair verdict here is a NEUTRAL rating, as the betting bank was still largely in tact by the end of our trial, so no damage done really.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The selections are sent by e-mail, normally on Thursday and Friday ahead of the weekend’s games, giving plenty of time to get the bets on.

Availability of prices: Prices are generally available and we didn’t see any problems obtaining the recommended odds.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 44%, which isn’t too bad in itself but would need to be a little higher to achieve a profit.

Advised Betting Bank: We couldn’t see a betting bank recommended for the service but used a 100 point bank for the purposes of our trial.

Subscription costs: The current subscription costs at the time of writing are £37+VAT per month.

OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL

We followed the Scottish Football Income Booster for a 20 month period in the hope they could produce the kind of profits reported prior to our trial, but unfortunately at the end of our trial they finished 4 points down.

That still left the vast majority of the bank in tact and the ROI was only -1%, so no damage done but overall it’s a NEUTRAL verdict for this service.

Scottish Football Income Booster – Results Update

5th May 2022

The Scottish Football Income Booster continues to move along without any great drama, with just one point lost since our last update.

That means they are now 3 points down for our trial overall.

As the season draws to a close soon we will be looking to wrap this review up shortly. Hopefully they can get into profit by the end.

Scottish Football Income Booster – Results Update

22nd March 2022

It’s been a quiet time for the Scottish Football Income Booster recently, with no change to the overall position since our last update.

That means they are still 2 points down for our trial overall.

Would be nice with just a couple of months left in the season if they could get into profit for our trial overall. Fingers crossed.

Scottish Football Income Booster – Results Update

27th December 2021

The Scottish Football Income Booster has continued their slow and steady fightback, with a profit of 10 points made since our last update.

That means they are now 3 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

This has been something of a slow-burner of a trial but it’s good to see them finally get into the green after having been behind for most of our trial.

Hopefully they can carry that form into the new year and start to build some decent profits.

Scottish Football Income Booster – Results Update

23rd November 2021

A small improvement for the Scottish Football Income Booster over the last month, with a profit of just 1 point made since our last update.

That means they are now 7 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

As mentioned last time, they have been very unlucky with late goals this season. If games only lasted 88 minutes they would have cleaned up!

That reminds of us another football service we reviewed previously that recommended trading out at 85 minutes. By that time the odds will be around the 1.2-1.3 range so liabilities are quite small in doing so.

Something to think about anyway.

Scottish Football Income Booster – Results Update

19th October 2021

A small decline for the Scottish Football Income Booster over the last month, with a loss of just 3 points made since our last update.

That means they are now 8 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

They have been bedeviled with late goals this season. Saturday’s late one in the Kilmarnock game was a 3.8pt swing, which obviously stings a bit. Results could have a somewhat brighter look to them if not for those late goals.

In any event, it hasn’t been a disaster or anything but the trial has just failed to really get going yet.

Scottish Football Income Booster – Results Update

14th September 2021

Not much change for the Scottish Football Income Booster over the last month, with a profit of just 1 point made since our last update.

That means they are now just 5 points down for our trial overall.

Most of the bets so far this season have been outside of the Scottish Premiership and it seems to be paying dividends concentrating on the lower divisions with positive progress made for this season so far.

Scottish Football Income Booster – Results Update

10th August 2021

The Scottish football season has already kicked off and it’s been a good start to the campaign for the Scottish Football Income Booster, with a profit of 7 points made so far.

That means picking up where we left off at the end of last season, they are now just 6 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that this is a football tipster focusing solely on Scottish football. They bet across the Scottish leagues and mainly bet on the match odds and over/under markets.

The long-term results are very good with over 174 points profit made, so let’s hope they can kick on after making a good start to the season.

Scottish Football Income Booster – Results Update

It was a tough end to the season for Scottish Football Income Booster unfortunately, with a loss of 12 points made since our last update.

That means they are now 13 points down for our trial overall.

We will put this review on hold for the time being, as they are taking a break for the Summer with no Scottish football on. We will picks things up again at the start of next season.

Hopefully they can get back on track next season when things are back to normal and crowds are back etc.

It’s been a tough time for Scottish Football Income Booster lately, with a loss of 11 points made since our last update.

That means they are now 10 points down for our trial overall.

This trial has struggled to get going so far really. It’s been very much a case of one step forwards, two steps back as each time it looks like they are moving into the green they fall back again.

Anyway, let’s hope they can get moving forward over the remainder of the season now and at least finish our trial in profit.

Scottish Football Income Booster – Results Update

A small step backwards for Scottish Football Income Booster lately, with a loss of 8 points made since our last update just over a month ago.

That means they are now just one point up for our trial overall.

The Scottish leagues have been a little weather affected lately so that may have thrown the form off a tad, but hopefully as we move into the spring we will see some better returns for this tipster, also known as “The Scotsman.”

Scottish Football Income Booster – Results Update

It’s been a better month for Scottish Football Income Booster, with a profit of 16 points made since our last update.

That means they are now 9 points up for our trial overall.

The bets are spread around the Scottish leagues, with some coming in the Premiership whilst a good portion are in the lower leagues. On the lower leagues the odds can get pushed in quite a bit so it’s best to get your bets as soon as possible.

Good progress here, we’ll see if that continues.

29th November 2020

It’s been a bit of a slow start to our trial of Scottish Football Income Booster, with a loss of 7 points made after one month of following the tips.

Most of the bets are either in the match odds or under/over 2.5 goals markets, so pretty simple to follow. Let’s hope they kick on over the next month and put some profit on the board.

Scottish Football Income Booster – New Review

23rd October 2020

When it comes to betting on football, finding an edge or angle to beat the bookies can be tough. The main markets on the big five leagues – the Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga and Ligue 1 – have huge liquidity and are generally difficult to make a profit on. Eking out a narrow 1 or 2% edge is about the best many professional gamblers hope for on the top leagues.

One alternative approach is to focus on other leagues that don’t get such huge coverage and where things like team news, injuries, players’ form etc isn’t covered so extensively and known to everyone.

Well the service we are looking at today is one that does exactly that, focusing solely on Scottish football and using their expert knowledge and ear to the ground to make a decent profit from the beautiful game north of Hadrian’s Wall.

The service in question is called the Scottish Football Income Booster (or SFIB for short) and the tips are provided by a chap who is known solely as “the Scotsman,” to keep his identity secret.

The Scotsman is a university educated maths whizz based just outside Glasgow (yes, he’s Scottish!) and his CV screams “Scottish football expert“.

With previous stints at leading bookmaking firms and an Asian-based private investment syndicate as a proprietary trader, in addition to acting as a quant-based hedge fund’s go-to Scottish betting consultant after he was head-hunted because of his vast local knowledge about players, teams and motivational issues likely to affect results…

Suffice to say this guy is a bona fide expert in his field and a source of highly sought-after information.

His retutns back that up, with results proofed elsewhere showing a profit of over 180 points since starting tipping in 2015/16.

That would be over £18,000 profit to £100/point stakes or £3,600 to more modest £20/point stakes.

Those results have been achieved with a very decent strike rate of 47% and a return on investment of over 11%, which is more than respectable in the world of football betting.

The service comes out of the Matthew Walton stable of tipsters, who also has two of the best tipsters we have reviewed in their respective sports, namely Racing Intelligence and the Golf Insider in horse racing and golf respectively.

So from what we can gather Matthew has another hidden gem and top quality tipster this time in the sport of football.

As we always say though, the ultimate test will be a live trial here at Honest Betting Reviews so we are looking forward to getting our review underway.

We have just received the tips for this weekend and are raring to go, so will kick off the review today and will hopefully be toasting (with a glass of whiskey and some shortbread perhaps) a good few winners and a positive result in a few months’ time.

In the meantime you can check out Scottish Football Income Booster (SFIB) for yourself here.

Betting Gods Premium Tips – Full Review

Betting Gods Premium Tips is a service that provides daily tips from a portfolio of tipsters on the Betting Gods network, across a range of different sports.

Tips come from the full suite of Betting Gods tipsters, which when we started our review was 17 expert tipsters and is now 15.

The lineup of tipster evolves over time but at the moment includes the likes of:-

  • The Bookies Enemy
  • The Footy God
  • The Outside Edge
  • The Saviour
  • Daily Footy Doubles

Some top services there with a number on the list having passed trials here at Honest Betting Reviews in their own right.

As a member of the service you receive 4-5 tips each day, from a variety of the tipsters depending on who has strong selections for that day.

We followed the tips for 14 months which gave us an excellent sample size of 1645 bets.

At the end of our trial then they finished with a profit of 86 points, which is a pretty decent total.

That was achieved with a strong strike rate of 42%, although the ROI was a little on the low side at 3%

That is not unusual though to have a low ROI when you have a high strike rate.

It is just a little lower than you would like to see with a 42% strike rate – somewhere in the 5-10% range would be getting towards the top range in tipping terms.

In any event, with 86% bank growth over the course of the trial (on a 100 point bank basis – although see below on this) it’s been a strong trial and with the cost of the tips being just £7.99 per month or £69 for lifetime access (at the time of writing), it represents excellent value.

There are many tipping services charging a lot more that deliver a lot less. This is actually one of the best value tipping services we have seen in a while.

A couple of things to note with the service:

  1. At the moment the tips come in just football and horse racing. This is due to the nature of the tipsters on the platform at the moment and could change if tipsters in other sports join the Betting Gods network.
  2. All the profit made during our trial in effect came from the horse racing tips, which made 89 points profit. So you could choose to focus just on those.

Overall then we’re happy to award Betting Gods Premium Tips a PASSED rating. Well worth adding their portfolio of tipsters…to your portfolio!

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The selections are sent out e-mail, usually around 8am UK time each day. There is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 4-5 bets per day on average the workload is reasonable, but manageable.

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice too much price pressure overall over the course of our trial.

Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was solid at 42% (including placed horses), which kept things ticking over nicely.

Advised Betting Bank: No betting bank is advised for the service but we used a 100 point bank for our trial. The bank was never in jeopardy during our trial, although we did experience a drawdown of around 70 points at one stage so a 150 point bank might be more prudent here.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs at the time of writing are very reasonable at £7.99 per month or £69 for lifetime access

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

Betting Gods Premium Tips is a portfolio of tipsters providing daily tips from the betting experts across the platform’s stable.

After a 14 month trial they finished with a profit of 86 points, which is a good total. Whilst the ROI was a little on the low side at 3%, that is not too unusual to see when the strike rate is 42%

With a low cost of just £7.99 per month, this is a very good value service to have as part of your betting portfolio.

Betting Gods Premium Tips – New Review

25th May 2023

We are starting a new review today of a service called Premium Tips from Betting Gods.

This is something slightly different to most tipping services we review here as it is actually a portfolio of tipsters.

Tips come from the full suite of Betting Gods tipsters, which at the time of writing comprises 17 expert tipsters.

That includes luminaries such as:-

  • The Bookies Enemy
  • The Basketball Geek
  • The Outside Edge
  • NHL Betting Master
  • Euro Football Punter

So a variety of sports covered and a group of tipsters who have made over £136,000 collectively!

As a member of the service you receive 4 tips each day, from a variety of the tipsters depending on who has strong selections for that day.

The service only went live recently (15th April) but has already produced a very healthy 64 points profit to date.

That would be £1600 profit to £25 per point stakes.

So it’s early days but looks promising.

We started receiving the tips on 5th May so will record results from then. As ever, results will be updated here as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out Betting Gods Premium Tips for yourself here.

The Bookies Enemy – Five Year Update

Here at Honest Betting Reviews we like to continue monitoring services after our review has ended to ensure that they continue producing the results seen in our trial.

So a full five years after our original review of The Bookies Enemy, it is high time for an update to see if they continue to warrant a PASSED rating from us.

In our original review back in 2018 (please see below) the service made a highly commendable 104 points profit at a return on investment of 41%, a very successful trial.

However, many services then fade away after a positive trial, failing to maintain their form and to continue to produce a profit. In fact most tipster services are discontinued within a year or two of launching.

So first off it is noteworthy that The Bookie Enemy (run by a chap called Gary Poole) is still going at all five years after our original trial. There are very few services out there who manage to keep going that long.

This is one of those rare tipsters that has stuck around for the long term however, with the service going back to 2008 in one form or another.

Sticking around a long time doesn’t mean a lot in itself though if you aren’t also producing regular profit, but thankfully The Bookies Enemy has done that in spades!

Since our original review ended in 2018, they have added a further 771 points profit, putting the total since we started proofing the service at 875 points profit

That would be £21,875 profit at £25 per point stakes or £8,750 profit at more modest £10 per point stakes.

Those are phenomenal results and worthy of high praise indeed over such a long period.

If we look at the graph here from January 2020 onwards, it has really been pretty much nothing but upward growth:

The long-term strike is 20% and the return on investment 15%, which are impressive metrics to have maintained over the course of six years.

In terms of the more recent performance, that has also been stellar with 350 points profit made over the last year.

Just this month for example they are already 33 points up, so the service is going as strong as ever.

It will be no surprise then to learn that we are not only happy to maintain our PASSED rating for The Bookies Enemy but to upgrade its rating from 4.5 to 5 stars.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

We can’t stress enough how rare it is to find tipsters who stick around for the long term, let alone who actually produce high quality results year after year.

The Bookies Enemy has proved itself to be one of those tipsters however, with a superb 771 points profit made since our original trial and 875 points profit made since we started proofing the service back in 2017.

That puts it in an elite category of tipsters and well worthy of a full five star rating from us. Top stuff.

The Bookies Enemy – Full Review

The Bookies’ Enemy is a horse racing tipster who has been around for a number of years, operating on their own website and on various tipster platforms.

They recently switched to the Betting Gods tipster platform and not long after that we commenced a three month trial of the service.

The Bookies’ Enemy has a strong reputation of having made very good profits for his followers each year and so we were looking forward to seeing how he would get on under the spotlight of a live trial here at Honest Betting Reviews.

So how did things turn out?

Well we are pleased to say that they turned out very well, with over 100 points profit made to advised prices.

That works out at more than a doubling of the bank in just three months, which is excellent going.

And the return on investment for our trial was a superb 41%, one of the best achieved during a trial for some time.

The strike rate was a little on the low side at 19%, as this is a service that relies on picking long-odds winners that represent strong value rather than backing favourites. So a degree of patience is advised when following the service.

As you can see from the graph below, we were in profit for pretty much the whole trial, punctuated by a big move upwards in the middle.

The Bookies Enemy Profit Graph

Whilst overall the results were fantastic, the one point to be aware of is that the Betfair SP results were quite a bit lower than the advised ones, with 32 points profit made in comparison to the 104 points profit made to advised prices.

So although that is still a good profit, to really get the best out of the Bookies’ Enemy you do want to have access to bookie accounts.

All in all however the trial has been a tremendous success and we are happy to award the Bookies’ Enemy a PASSED rating.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: Pretty straightforward service to follow with just a couple of bets per day on average sent the evening before racing, usually between 6pm and 8pm UK time.

Availability of prices: With such a popular and long-running service like this, inevitably there is downward pressure on prices and so you want to get your bets on as soon as possible after tips are sent out. As we say, there was a big difference between results at advised prices and Betfair SP.

Strike rate: The strike rate during the trial was 19%, which is pretty much spot on the long term average.

Advised Betting Bank: A 100 point bank is advised for following the service, which should be ok given the average staking is 1.2 points per bet, but to be on the safe side you may want to consider using a 150 point bank.

Subscription costs: The costs to sign up are £1 for the first 10 days then £40 per month, £80 per quarter or £240 per year.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

We often say here at Honest Betting Reviews that one of the most important factors when looking at a tipster is their long-term record. The longer they have been able to produce a consistent profit, the better.

Well the Bookies’ Enemy has been producing profit for a number of years and has continued to do so since switching to the Betting Gods platform.

Under the spotlight of a live trial the service also performed admirably, racking up over 100 points profit in just three months, which would be over £1,000 to just £10 stakes.

With a return on investment of over 40%, this is one of the best trials we have seen for some time and it is a definite PASSED rating from us.

The only thing to be aware of is that the results at Betfair SP were quite a bit lower than the advised prices, so you really want to have access to bookie accounts to get the most out of the service.

But all in all it has been impressive stuff from the Bookies’ Enemy and this is one we will be adding to our portfolio for the long-term.

The Bookies Enemy – Results Update

27th January 2018

The Bookies Enemy has been living up to his name lately, smashing in lots of big-priced winners.

He has made a very tasty 44 points profit at advised prices since our last update, putting him on 103 points profit for the trial overall.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP he is somewhat behind the advised price results, although still doing very well, with 34 points profit made since our last update and 49 points profit overall.

This is looking like another top service for the Betting Gods platform alongside some of their other high quality horse racing tipsters.

The Bookies Enemy – Results Update

5th January 2018

A small retrace for The Bookies Enemy since our last update, with 14 points lost at advised prices.

That means we are now 59 points up for the trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

Quite a significant gap is opening up between the advised prices and Betfair SP results, as we are now just 15 points up at Betfair SP for the trial overall after losing 24 points since our last update.

So it is questionable whether this is going to be profitable to follow the service at Betfair SP, time will tell on that front.

Overall though the trial is still going very well so can’t have too many complaints thus far.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP a good profit has also been made, although not quite as much as at advised prices, with 39 points profit made so far in our trial.

The Bookies Enemy has a big reputation behind him and it’s good to see he is living up to that so far.

Back soon with more updates.

The Bookies Enemy – New Review

29th November 2017

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

So the saying goes. It may be a cliche we hear often in the sporting world, but it applies just as much in the tipping world too.

And it certainly applies to the next tipster we will be reviewing here at Honest Betting Reviews.

This tipster has been around for some time and has built a reputation as one of the most respected names in the business.

He has regularly made over 100 points profit per year and is famous for landing betting coups at long odds.

Who are we talking about?

It is none other than The Bookies’ Enemy of course, a horse racing tipster who has recently signed up for the Betting Gods stable.

It is quite a coup for Betting Gods as well, as the Bookie’s Enemy comes with a strong betting record and following behind him.

He has offered his tips through a number of sources previously, including social media, his own website and another tipster platform. He has been known as “Bookies’ Enemy Number One” formerly, but now it is just the Bookies’s Enemy.

But hopefully now he has found his rightful home at Betting Gods who should provide the kind of stability for him to really prosper.

The Bookies’ Enemy is in fact a chap called Gary Poole and as we say, he has been around for a number of years and has regularly racked up impressive profits in that time.

Since starting proofing to Betting Gods he has made a very impressive 270 points profit, which has worked out at an amazing £550 profit per month to just £10 stakes.

Those results have been achieved at a superb return on investment of 80%.

Retaining a return at that level will be nigh-on impossible in the long run, but regular profits should be very possible and indeed have been Gary’s staple.

His strike rate has averaged around the 22% so far and as we say, his specialism is going for horses at long odds of 25/1, 33/1 and even higher on occasion.

He has also been known to land a big-priced acca or two, so watch out for those if you are a follower of the service.

All in all then this is a serious tipster and one we are looking forward to testing out.

We started receiving tips on 17th November so we will record results from then onwards. We are pleased to report we are off to a flying start as well.

As usual, results will be updated here regularly during the trial.

In the meantime you can check out The Bookies’ Enemy here.

The Odds Matcher

The Odds Matcher tool is a game-changer.

It compares odds between bookies and betting exchanges like Betfair, making it easy to find the best value bets.

This tool saves you hours of manual work by showing you the top opportunities in a simple table format.

When you’re matched betting, finding close odds between the bookies and exchanges is crucial.

The Odds Matcher helps you do just that, maximizing your profit from free bets and bonuses.

Below is a look at the live table for using the Odds Matcher and setting up your matched bets.

Odds Matcher Screenshot

In the table above you can see the date and time of the event, the sport, the race or match time and the selection.

Then in red you have the rating, which tells you how much value there is in the bet. The you have the relevant bookmaker and betting exchange and the odds, which you can click through to.

Where the rating is above 100, this means the betting exchange odds are above the bookies’ odds for that selection.

The Betting Calculator

The Betting Calculator is another handy tool that takes the guesswork out of matched betting.

It tells you exactly how much to bet and how much you’ll make, ensuring you get the most out of every opportunity.

Racing Matcher

For horse racing enthusiasts, the Racing Matcher is a fantastic tool. It identifies the best odds matches for upcoming races and highlights available offers.

So for example below, you have the 12.45 at Southwell, with three offers available – £50 free with Bet365, £25 free with Betfred and £25 free with Totesport.

Then you click on one of the offers and it opens up the odds matcher with the best odds available with the exchanges to execute the offer.

This is a nice way of working your way through the racecard in an afternoon and taking advantage of lots of free bet offers.

The Eachway Matcher

The Each Way Matcher is perfect for those looking to place value each-way bets in a risk-free manner.

This tool helps you identify bets where the place odds are favorable enough to guarantee a profit, regardless of the outcome.

You can typically make £5-£10 per bet, with multiple opportunities daily. Just be cautious—bookies don’t like this strategy and may limit your account if you overdo it.

The Acca Matcher

Football fans will love the Acca Matcher, which helps you profit from accumulator offers.

By backing an accumulator with a bookie and laying each leg on an exchange, you can lock in a profit—usually around £10 per offer, with several available during the football season.

Accu Matcher Screenshot

Dutching Tool

The Dutching Tool allows you to back all possible outcomes of an event across different bookies, guaranteeing a profit no matter what.

While this sounds great, be aware that bookies don’t take kindly to this strategy, and it could lead to account closures.

Tennis Matcher

Finally, the Tennis Matcher is designed to help you find value in tennis betting offers.

While there aren’t as many offers for tennis as there are for racing or football, this tool can still be useful during major tournaments like the US Open.

Premium Membership versus All Access Membership

For just £29.99 per month, the Premium Membership gives you access to all these features for bookmaker offers, which is a very good deal considering the potential profits.

The All-Access membership, at £49.99 per month, includes everything that comes with Premium Membership but also includes casino offers as well as those from bookmakers.

The Free Trial, on the other hand, is more of a taster, offering limited access to a few offers and guides.

Overall Verdict

OddsMonkey is a top-notch resource for matched bettors, offering a wide array of tools and guides to help you maximize your profits.

If you’re looking for a comprehensive matched betting service, it’s hard to go wrong with OddsMonkey.

That said, if you’re already using a similar service like Outplayed, there’s no need to switch since they offer similar features.

Also, if you’re outside the UK and Ireland, OddsMonkey might not be as valuable due to the limited availability of free bets and bonuses.

Overall, OddsMonkey is an excellent choice, and we’re happy to give it a full 5 out of 5 stars.

So, why not give it a try? After all, they offer a free trial, so you’ve got nothing to lose and potentially a lot to gain!

Rating: 5 out of 5

11. Are there any risks with using OddsMonkey?

Matched betting is generally considered low-risk, but there are some considerations.

For example, if you are doing EV (expected value) betting rather than matched betting, you can still experience losing bets and losing runs. So ensuring you have a sufficient betting bank is important for EV betting.

Equally, using strategies like Dutching or Each Way Matcher excessively can lead to bookmaker account restrictions or closures.

It’s important to use these tools wisely and not draw too much attention to your betting patterns.

12. What is EV (Expected Value) Betting in Matched Betting?

EV (Expected Value) betting in matched betting refers to the process of evaluating the potential profitability of a bet over the long term.

It calculates the average amount you can expect to win or lose if you were to place a similar bet multiple times.

In matched betting, understanding EV helps you assess whether a free bet or promotion is worth pursuing, as it quantifies the likely profit from the offer, guiding your decision-making towards consistently profitable bets.

13. Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes, you can cancel your OddsMonkey subscription at any time. However, it’s recommended to use the free trial first to see if the service meets your needs before committing to a subscription.

Ten Pound Tipster – Full Review

The Ten Pound Tipster is a horse racing tipster with the aim to make good profits on UK and Irish racing using just £10 per point stakes.

Ten pounds per month is also the cost of the subscription (at the time of writing). “Winning tips – cheap as chips” as they say.

The tipster started out as many punters do, following all kinds of tipsters and systems in the hope of finding riches, only to be disappointed after much-hyped services failed to deliver.

Then they started to develop their own systems, with long periods of proofing and testing.

Confident in the systems they had developed, they have been running them live for over a year now and we proofed the tips for nine months.

That gave us a good sample size of just under 500 bets.

They calculate results at Betfair SP and stake 1 point to win and 1 point to place (where there are 5 or more runners, 1 point win only when 4 runners or less).

It was somewhat of an up-and-down trial to be honest, as they went 50 points up early on, before falling to over 50 points down and then rallying to finish our trial 33 points up

So it was solid rather than spectacular, but we always say any profit is not to be sniffed at.

That’s particularly the case when that profit has come at Betfair SP and at a very reasonable subscription cost.

Many tipsters struggle to make a profit at all, let alone at BSP so that is to be commended.

Overall then we’re happy to award the Ten Pound Tipster a narrow PASSED rating as it has delivered a solid profit over the course of our trial.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The selections are sent out e-mail, usually around 6am UK time on the day of racing. There is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 1-2 bets per day on average the workload is very manageable.

Availability of prices: As above, the bets are all to be placed at Betfair SP so there is no issue with price availability.

Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was solid at 39% (including placed horses).

Advised Betting Bank: No betting bank is advised for the service but we used a 100 point bank for our trial. Given the fluctuations we experienced during our trial as described above however, a 150 point bank may be more appropriate here.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs at the time of writing are very reasonable at £10 per month or £69 per year.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

The Ten Pound Tipster is a horse racing tipster who bets at Betfair SP on UK and Irish racing.

They made 33 points profit during our nine month trial, which was solid rather than spectacular, but considering that was at Betfair SP it is not to be sniffed at.

This could be an option for those who have had their bookie accounts restricted and are looking for a low-cost tipster on the horses.

Ten Pound Tipster – New Review

11th October 2023

We are starting a new trial today of a horse racing service called the Ten Pound Tipster.

The name comes from the idea that even at just £10 stakes, this tipster has reportedly made very good profits.

It is also the current cost of subscription, which is set at just £10 per month (at the time of writing).

Confident in the systems they had developed, they have been running them live since January 2022 and have now made a reported 394 points profit at Betfair SP.

That is quite a total to have amassed and certainly piqued our interest. Any service that can make a profit at BSP is worthy of attention and to have made that much profit in less than two years is quite remarkable.

Tips are sent out early in the morning and there is always the option to use bookies if you wish, which the tipster says are likely to beat the Betfair SP prices.

On average there are around 2-3 tips per day, with some days having four. All tips are one point each-way bets.

Without further ado then we will get this review under way of a refreshingly cheaply-priced tipster and keep our fingers crossed they can maintain the strong results reported on their website.

Results will be updated here as we go along as usual so you can see how they are getting on.

In the meantime you can check out the Ten Pound Tipster for yourself here.
