Betfair SP Edge – New Review

We are starting a new review today of a horse racing service called Betfair SP Edge.

This is a service on the Betting Gods network that focuses on finding value at the Betfair Starting Price (BSP), specifically in flat and all-weather racing.

The service is run by someone who isn’t just another anonymous tipster — it’s operated by the founder of Betting Gods, Darren, who has spent years reviewing, testing and working with some of the best tipsters in the business while quietly using his own private betting system.

For the first time, that private approach is being made available to the public.

We know Darren personally and he is an absolutely stand-up bloke — as well as being very shrewd — so this is a service we are very keen on checking out.

The core idea behind Betfair SP Edge is discipline: it only targets flat and AW racing during the stronger parts of the season and deliberately avoids the weaker winter markets.

The aim is to identify big-priced winners that the wider market overlooks, and to do it at BSP so members don’t need to chase early bookmaker prices.

According to the service page, since April 2022 Betfair SP Edge has advised thousands of bets, returned a reported ROI north of 30% and produced profits in the region of £18,000 to £25 stakes.

Those results are built on decades of racing experience and a staking approach that’s designed to be both transparent and repeatable.

In this review we’ll take a closer look at how the service works, how the bets are found, what kind of bankroll you’ll realistically need, and — crucially — whether those claimed profits can be maintained in the long run.

We started receiving tips on 21st August so we will record results from then. Results will be updated here as we go along as usual.

In the meantime you can check out Betfair SP Edge for yourself here.

Raid The Sand Syndicate – New Review

We are starting a new review today of a horse racing service called Raid The Sand Syndicate

This comes from the Matthew Walton stable of tipsters, which has provided us with such luminaries as the Golf Insider, Racing Intelligence and the Irish Cash Consortium, all of which have passed reviews here at HBR.

Matthew has a keen eye for tipping talent so we always take note when he brings another tipster in to his stable.

Raid The Sand Syndicate is an all-weather specialist who has over 20 years experience of picking horse racing winners.

The return on investment (ROI) since the service started is apparently over 25% which is very impressive.

Equally noteworthy is the strike rate, which stands at 40% to date.

So the combined stats for ROI and strike rate would make this a very strong performer if they could be repeated in the long run.

As ever we will reserve judgement until our review is completed, but given Mr Walton’s history of picking top-class tipping talent we are hopeful at least this one might be a goodun’.

We started receiving tips on 3rd June so we will record results from then. Inevitably with it being the summer, most flat horse racing is on the turf rather than the dirt so the action will be a little light until the all-weather season kicks in again in the autumn.

We will continue recording results anyway for the tips that are posted and will update things here as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out Raid The Sand Syndicate for yourself here.

Betting Mastermind Re-Review

A few years ago we reviewed Betting Mastermind, a matched betting package from the doyen of betting systems, Mike Cruickshank.

In essence Betting Mastermind contains the best of Mike’s matched betting products in one and signing up to all of them in one go represents a massive saving compared to the cost of signing up to the products individually.

You can read our original review below, but to summarise it passed our trial with flying colours, receiving a five star rating.

Well that was a few years ago, but Mike has just finished upgrading the systems, removing some of the old ones that are no longer relevant and replacing them with some new ones.

The new systems include Price Boost Radar, Lucky 15 Maximiser, Advanced EWS Algorithm, Advanced 20 Minute System Algorithm & The Insiders System.

Given Mike’s stellar record in developing betting systems over the years, we had no hesitation in deciding to give the revamped Betting Mastermind a look, so we will commence our re-review today.

Once we have taken a look at the new systems we will report back here with our thoughts on them.

In the meantime you can check out Betting Mastermind for yourself here.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Betting Mastermind – Final Review

12th May 2020

Betting Mastermind is a matched betting package from the original matched betting guru, Mike Cruickshank.

It claims that people using the package are making up to £3,500 per month in profit, which is quite a bold claim.

Here we take a look at what it is, how it works and whether it is possible to make that kind of money from it.

What Is It?

Betting Mastermind is the complete package of matched betting products and other betting systems that have been designed by Mike Cruickshank over the years.

It contains all eleven of Mike’s products in one and signing up to all of them in one go represents a massive saving compared to the cost of signing up to the products individually.

This package is for everyone from a complete novice up to experienced matched bettors and whatever your level, this will offer you the opportunity to make consistent income from the techniques it will teach you.

There are some people out there making £2,000 to £3,000 per month from these matched betting products, which is quite a significant income.

Here we take a look at each of the eleven products that make up Betting Mastermind in turn and what they bring to the matched betting table:-

          1. Bonus Bagging

Bonus Bagging Banner

The original matched betting product and the first one we reviewed here at Honest Betting Reviews, Bonus Bagging is for newbies to the art of matched betting.

It will introduce you in a step-by-step fashion to matched betting and show you how to utilise the bookies’ welcome offers to make risk-free cash.

Even if you are complete a newbie, this will give you the guidance and support you need to start making a profit from bookmaker offers.

You can expect to make up to £500 from the offers if you do not already have accounts with the bookies.

      2. Profit Maximiser

Profit Maximiser

The ultimate matched betting tool and still in our opinion, the best. Profit Maximiser brings together all of the bookies offers for existing customers as well as bingo and casino offers and much more. You can read our original review of it here.

Recently redesigned to improve the look and feel and enhance the user experience, Profit Maximiser has a massive following and a Facebook group of over 50,000 members.

In that group you can exchange ideas and get some help if you are struggling with any of the offers, plus people post the latest and best offers and how to do them.

Some of these offers can be very lucrative – indeed there was one incident not too long ago when Sky Bet had a casino offer with a loophole and Profit Maximiser members took an estimated £1 million combined from them just on that offer! Amazing stuff.

Even without offers like that though and just sticking to the regular bookie offers, people are making a regular £300 – £500 per month from Profit Maximiser and some even more than that – by devoting time to it people have turned it into a full-time job making £20,000 to £30,000 per year tax free!

        3. Matched Betting Software

Mike Cruickshank's Matched Betting Software

If you are serious about your matched betting then really you need to have access to some Matched Betting Software.

Basically what it does is scan all the thousands of betting markets across the bookies and exchanges (e.g. Betfair) and find you instances where the odds are very close.

That can save you hours of searching for these yourself, plus it maximises what you can make from each of the bookie offers.

You can sort by sport, event, bookmaker and much more, so finding some odds for a particular event is easy.

We took a look at the Matched Betting Software here and gave it a solid thumbs up, so having this as part of your matched betting portfolio is a must really.

      4. Each Way Sniper

Each Way Sniper

Each Way Sniper is a tool for taking advantage of the value that each way bets present in certain situations. You can read our full review of it here.

What you can do is use the software to find bets that will guarantee you a profit whatever happens. You just place a bet with the bookie and lay off at the exchange, much as you do with matched betting.

Due to the fact that there is big value in the place part of particular each way bets, this is a strategy that works well and can be used over and over again.

Making £5 – £10 per bet, you can make a good extra income from this if used regularly.

     5. Accumulator Generator

Accumulator Generator

One of the flagship products in the matched betting portfolio, Accumulator Generator is a tool for use on football accumulators. You can check out our full review of it here.

Basically what it does is take advantage of the bookies accumulator offers on football, whereby if one leg of your acca lets you down, they will refund your stake as a losing bet up to a specified amount.

With Accumulator Generator it shows you exactly how to set these up as very low risk bets so that you can consistently make a profit from them whatever happens to your acca.

With everything set up for you and all the accas found, it is just a question of entering the stakes and then placing your bets.

You can make £5-£10 per acca, so doing just one per day you could make a nice extra few hundred quid per month.

    6. EV Maximiser

EV Maximiser

EV Maximiser is a tool devoted specifically to assisting you with casino offers.

Basically you enter the deposit required, the amount of the bonus and the wagering requirement into a calculator, as well as which game or slot you are doing and it will tell you what value the offer actually represents.

You see, casino offers vary hugely in terms of the actual value they offer you – some you are better off not doing at all because they are downright rip-offs where as some you have a good chance of making profit from – and it is not always obvious.

So EV Maximiser does the work for you so you can focus on those offers that are worth doing and leaving aside those that are not.

For a serious matched bettor devoting time to making substantial income from these offers, EV Maximiser could be worth thousands of pounds over the long term.

       7. Betfair Sniper

Betfair Sniper

A product that is a little different from most of the others in Betting Mastermind, Betfair Sniper is a strategy for finding value in exchange markets to trade certain selections.

What you do with Betfair Sniper is trade horse racing markets before the off for profit, you are not waiting for bets to go in-running to see if they win or not.

A sound strategy that is a worthy addition to your portfolio.

     8. Betfair Renegade

Betfair Renegade

Another piece of software that is slightly different to the other main offerings from Mike Cruickshank, Betfair Renegade is a method of finding value football bets on Betfair.

We undertook a live trial of Betfair Renegade here and it made 233 points profit to 10 point stakes, at a return on investment of 14%.

That is a very good return for football betting, where normally a 10% ROI is considered high.

Betfair Renegade achieved a recommended rating during our review and we would underline that again here.

    9. Bookie Blowout

Bookie Blowout

Up next in the Betting Mastermind package is Bookie Blowout.

With this one, you are sent e-mails the night before racing with certain selections and you back them with the bookies. Then the next day you lay them off at the exchanges for profit, presuming the odds have moved in the right direction.

Either way though you are just trading out, so again as with all of Mike’s products it is low risk.

     10. Betfair 1% Club

The Betfair 1% Club is a low risk scalping strategy for the Betfair markets to trade before matches start.

The idea is to lock in profits before kick off and to make a nice £10 to £20 per game. You need to have a reasonable trading bank to make a decent profit out of each trade, but it is pretty low risk and a sound theory behind it.

    11. Project Prosperity Training System

And finally, what you get is a training system that tells you in five steps how to make the most of the above 10 systems, spending just one hour per day on them.

This will guide you through the process, showing you the pitfalls and also the time-savers and “low hanging fruit” of the systems in the Betting Mastermind package.

The Savings

If you were to purchase the eleven products listed above separately, it would set you back £1,127. Then you would have another £656 each year in renewal fees.

But if you join Betting Mastermind, you will instead pay £97 + VAT upfront, then three monthly payments of £197 + VAT.

So the savings over the course of a couple of years will add up to over a thousand pounds! A great value package.

Conclusion – PASSED

There are members of Mike Cruickshank’s products who make in excess of £3,500 per month from using his strategies.

These people take a professional approach to their matched betting and have taken the time to learn the processes involved to a tee.

It takes dedication, but clearly it can be done and the Betting Mastermind package offers you the chance to join this elite group of matched bettors.

If you are ready to join that group, we can highly recommend Betting Mastermind as a superb all-round package. A definite five stars for this package and it is one of the best betting system packages we have ever come across.

You can check out Betting Mastermind here.

Renegade Racing – New Review

We are starting a new review today of a service called Renegade Racing.

This is a horse racing tipster from the Betting Gods stable of tipsters and although it has only been going a short time, has caused quite a stir in the tipping community.

The results since starting up in November last year have been stellar, with a profit of 54 points made to date.

That has been achieved with exceptional stats of a 36% ROI and 62% strike rate.

Those metrics are pretty outstanding and will be hard to maintain in the long run – although anything even vaguely close to those will still be very impressive.

Follow the service at Betfair SP and you would have boosted the profits by a further 55% so far. We are interested to see if that continues during our trial.

The service has been on red hot form since launch, with 26 of the last 35 bets having won.

We haven’t seen a tipster start off this well for quite some time.

However, it’s important not to get too carried away with these promising early results and to see how the service performs over the next few months under live trial conditions.

So we will get things underway today and will include results from 14th February when we started receiving tips.

We will update things here as we go along as usual.

In the meantime you can check out Renegade Racing for yourself here.

Rebel Betting – New Review

Today we are starting a new trial of a popular and well-known betting service called Rebel Betting.

It started out as essentially an arbitrage platform but has recently added another tool, value betting, which is what we will be starting out looking at in this review.

According to the website they have had over 125,000 users of their tools since starting up 11 years ago. which shows you the popularity of the platform.

The idea of the value betting software is to identify instances of overpriced odds that are higher than their true probability. But how do they know if odds are overpriced, you may ask?

Well, some bookmakers have proven that they are extremely good at determining odds that reflects the actual probability of an outcome. These are often referred to as “sharp” bookmakers, or “sharps”. These “sharps” can vary by sport but are generally consistent in their efficiency.

So when there is a difference between the sharps odds and those of other bookies, you place a bet at the other bookie and lock in the value.

It could be for example that team news comes out before a game and alters the odds with the sharps who recognise the affect the news has on the teams’ chances, but some bookies are slow to react and adjust their odds, allowing an opportunity to take advantage.

The software constantly crunches the numbers of all these opportunities, comparing the “sharps” with the rest and churns out value bets you can place, in most instances with a link to the relevant market on the bookie’s website.

You then just place the bet and that is it – no trading or other hedging is required.

This is very similar to a product we looked at last year, Trademate Sports. We are not sure who came first but it is not unusual in this genre to see similar products emerge, particularly if they work well!

The disadvantage of value betting versus arbitrage is that the journey doesn’t tend to be quite as smooth, with more ups and downs, but over the course of enough bets (e.g. 1,000+) you are very likely to be up overall. The graph below illustrates how things may go:

In fact, Rebel Betting say the average results of their users is to double their money in three months, if you place 30 bets per day that is.

That would be pretty decent going and you couldn’t complain if those were your results.

Anyway, let’s see how we get on with the software in our review and we will update results here as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out Rebel Betting for yourself here.

racing bulletin banner

Racing Bulletin – New Review

Oh dear – it looks like this service has been discontinued. We haven’t received any tips since they went live and have had no response to our e-mails to them.

Plus now the website appears to have been taken down!

Oh well, sometimes these things happen – people’s personal circumstances can change.

Perhaps if they ever decide to recommence in future, we can run a trial then.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

We are starting a trial today of a horse racing service called Racing Bulletin.

This is a service that provides quite a detailed explanation on its website of how selections are arrived at.

Things start off with their speed ratings and some markers to potentially exclude horses based on being poorly handicapped, unproven on the ground or at today’s distance.

Then from this they form a shortlist based on factors such as the going, form and the time of the year.

Finally from this shortlist they will perform their final analysis and select their tips.

The tips focus on turf races but there is also an AW Handicap service adding some selections to the mix, but these don’t come with the same detailed analysis as described above.

Nice to see a tipster that provides detailed explanation for how their choose their bets, although as ever the proof will be in the pudding as they say.

The service is available for a 14 day trial at a cost of £1 but then costs are rather steep to say the least at £79.95 per month.

There are no long term results published on the website so we have to say we are surprised by the level of subscription fees charged. We normally only expect such fees charged for tipsters that have a long track record of proven success.

Anyway, we will see how this one gets on as we are intrigued by the approach.

We will run our normal three month trial and provide regular updates on how this one gets on.

Football Tipster – New Review

Our quest to find the best football tipster on the internet continues today with the commencement of a trial of the aptly-named Football Tipster.

With the football season just having kicked off, it seems an appropriate time to start this trial and make the most of the new season.

The Football Tipster is a specialist football tipping service that focuses on the main European leagues.

Results published on their website go back to 2012 and show an impressive £26,288 profit to an average of £40 stakes, so that’s 657 points profit.

Bets are placed in a variety of markets including the match odds, correct score and over/under markets.

Bet volume seems to be quite low, with just a few bets per week, so they appear to prefer the selective approach to betting.

Subscription costs are very reasonable at just £14.95 per month and they are even offering a free trial at the moment.

Given the low number of bets, we may need to run this trial for a little longer than the normal three months. We normally aim to proof at least 100 bets during our live trials, so that is what we will aim for here.

We will of course provide regular updates during the trial on how things are going.

In the meantime, you can view Football Tipster here.

The Win Picker – New Review

Today we are starting a new trial of a horse racing tipster called The Win Picker.

This is a straightforward tipping service that provides on average 2-3 tips per day, to be placed at Betfair SP.

We always like services that advise bets simply at Betfair SP, as it means that everyone knows they can match the results, so that is already a plus in our book.

They also back all selections to 1 point level stakes, another positive in our view.

The sales page boasts excellent results since the service started in January of this year.

They claim to have had no losing months and to have amassed £3,239.91 in 2015 to £25 stakes, including deducting 5% commission from Betfair.

The service is run by a guy called Kevin Butler who says he has honed his technique over many years, although he doesn’t give away too many secrets about what his selection criteria is.

To get things going they are offering a generous offer of £20 for 100 days of tips – which is just enough for us to complete a full review. 🙂

We actually started receiving the tips from 27th July 2015 so we will record results from then.

If the results during our trial can match those on the sales page, we should be in for a treat.

We will provide regular updates throughout the trial on how this one gets on.

In the meantime, you can check out The Win Picker here.

Footy Lay Profits – New Review

Note: Important Update 19th August 2015 – This service has been discontinued and is no longer accepting new members

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

With excitement building ahead of the new football season, we thought we would scour the internet to try and find a top football tipster.

One of the most promising we have found is Footy Lay Profits, the only football tipster currently offered by the Betting Gods stable.

They have made an impressive 87 points profit since the service began in December 2013.

That equates to £869 if you had used £10 stakes or £8,690 if you had been brave enough (or rich enough!) to use £100 stakes.

Encouragingly the strike rate is very high at 83%, meaning we can expect lots of winning bets 🙂

As the name suggests, this is a laying service, so we are betting on teams not to win.

Odds do not seem to go above 6.0 looking at the past results, so we are not laying at ridiculously high staking levels which is comforting.

Bettings Gods Footy Lay Profits

We always worry when we see laying services laying at odds of 10.0 or 20.0 that one loser is going to wipe out weeks – or even months – of hard work. But that should not be the case here.

Selections seem to be spread across the English and European leagues so a wide variety of bets will be placed.

The nice thing about laying of course is that you are using the exchanges, so no need to worry about pesky bookie account closures if you are successful 🙂

Anyway, we will give this service the normal three month review and let’s hope for lots of winners (or should that be losers?!) along the way!

In the meantime you can check out Footy Lay Profits here.

Racing Gold – New Review

Today we are commencing a new review of Racing Gold from the Tipster Street stables.

This is a straightforward horse racing tipster service. Their recorded results are very impressive, having amassed just under 500 points profit since the service started in February 2013.

There are quite a large number of tips, with the average being 118  per month, which works out at about 4 bets per day.

What we think is quite promising about this service is the nice steady profit graph, showing consistent profit accumulated month-in month-out over a period of two and a half years.

The strike rate is also pretty high at 35%, so Racing Gold is looking like a promising find.

We are also impressed by the low cost, at just £4.99 for the first month and then £19.95 per month or £39.95 per quarter.

As ever though, let’s see how they get on during our trial – we have seen plenty of services that looked good on paper but then failed to deliver under live test conditions.

We will run the trial for the normal 3 months, which should give us a very good quantity of bets on which to judge them.

Fingers crossed that we have found another gem here. 🙂

In the meantime you can check out Racing Gold here.
