As a member of the service you receive 4-5 tips each day, from a variety of the tipsters depending on who has strong selections for that day.
We followed the tips for 14 months which gave us an excellent sample size of 1645 bets.
At the end of our trial then they finished with a profit of 86 points, which is a pretty decent total.
That was achieved with a strong strike rate of 42%, although the ROI was a little on the low side at 3%.
That is not unusual though to have a low ROI when you have a high strike rate.
It is just a little lower than you would like to see with a 42% strike rate – somewhere in the 5-10% range would be getting towards the top range in tipping terms.
In any event, with 86% bank growth over the course of the trial (on a 100 point bank basis – although see below on this) it’s been a strong trial and with the cost of the tips being just £7.99 per month or £69 for lifetime access (at the time of writing), it represents excellent value.
There are many tipping services charging a lot more that deliver a lot less. This is actually one of the best value tipping services we have seen in a while.

At the moment the tips come in just football and horse racing. This is due to the nature of the tipsters on the platform at the moment and could change if tipsters in other sports join the Betting Gods network.
All the profit made during our trial in effect came from the horse racing tips, which made 89 points profit. So you could choose to focus just on those.
Overall then we’re happy to award Betting Gods Premium Tips a PASSED rating. Well worth adding their portfolio of tipsters…to your portfolio!
Service Breakdown
Ease of use: The selections are sent out e-mail, usually around 8am UK time each day. There is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 4-5 bets per day on average the workload is reasonable, but manageable.
Availability of prices: We didn’t notice too much price pressure overall over the course of our trial.
Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was solid at 42% (including placed horses), which kept things ticking over nicely.
Advised Betting Bank: No betting bank is advised for the service but we used a 100 point bank for our trial. The bank was never in jeopardy during our trial, although we did experience a drawdown of around 70 points at one stage so a 150 point bank might be more prudent here.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

The Ten Pound Tipster is a horse racing tipster with the aim to make good profits on UK and Irish racing using just £10 per point stakes.
Ten pounds per month is also the cost of the subscription (at the time of writing). “Winning tips – cheap as chips” as they say.
The tipster started out as many punters do, following all kinds of tipsters and systems in the hope of finding riches, only to be disappointed after much-hyped services failed to deliver.
Then they started to develop their own systems, with long periods of proofing and testing.
Confident in the systems they had developed, they have been running them live for over a year now and we proofed the tips for nine months.
That gave us a good sample size of just under 500 bets.
They calculate results at Betfair SP and stake 1 point to win and 1 point to place (where there are 5 or more runners, 1 point win only when 4 runners or less).
It was somewhat of an up-and-down trial to be honest, as they went 50 points up early on, before falling to over 50 points down and then rallying to finish our trial 33 points up.
So it was solid rather than spectacular, but we always say any profit is not to be sniffed at.
That’s particularly the case when that profit has come at Betfair SP and at a very reasonable subscription cost.
Many tipsters struggle to make a profit at all, let alone at BSP so that is to be commended.
Overall then we’re happy to award the Ten Pound Tipster a narrow PASSED rating as it has delivered a solid profit over the course of our trial.

We are starting a new trial today of a horse racing service called the Ten Pound Tipster.
The name comes from the idea that even at just £10 stakes, this tipster has reportedly made very good profits.
It is also the current cost of subscription, which is set at just £10 per month (at the time of writing). “Winning tips – cheap as chips” as they say.

That is quite a total to have amassed and certainly piqued our interest. Any service that can make a profit at BSP is worthy of attention and to have made that much profit in less than two years is quite remarkable.
Tips are sent out early in the morning and there is always the option to use bookies if you wish, which the tipster says are likely to beat the Betfair SP prices.
On average there are around 2-3 tips per day, with some days having four. All tips are one point each-way bets.
Without further ado then we will get this review under way of a refreshingly cheaply-priced tipster and keep our fingers crossed they can maintain the strong results reported on their website.

Cleeve Racing is a well-established horse racing tipping service that offers professional-grade tips from a seasoned expert.
With a long history in the industry, they aim to provide punters with consistent profits by leveraging their in-depth knowledge and experience of racing.
We originally reviewed the service back in 2020 when it received a failed rating unfortunately.
However, a change of tipster in 2022 seemed to have resulted in dramatically improved performance, with 340 points profit reportedly made at an ROI of 20% from starting up in May 2022 to the start of our trial in October 2023.
So we were eager to take a look at this new tipster for Cleeve Racing and commenced a live trial of their tips last year.
Results
When it comes to the numbers, the new tipster has unfortunately underperformed across several key metrics however.
Over the review period, Cleeve Racing recorded a Loss of -128 points, which is a substantial decline for any betting service.
This negative outcome is mirrored in their Bank Growth, which stands at -64%—a pretty big hit to the betting bank.
The Strike Rate of 41% (including placed horses) suggests that while nearly half of their bets were successful during our trial, the winners weren’t enough to offset the losses, leading to a negative return.
Their ROI (Return on Investment) was a concerning -22%, meaning for every £100 staked, there was a loss of £22 on average.
These figures highlight the challenging reality for subscribers who have seen their betting bank diminish rather than grow during our trial period.
In light of the results, it’s clear that Cleeve Racing has not lived up to its reputation during our review period.
The combination of a significant points loss, a negative strike rate, and a declining betting bank culminates in an overall disappointing performance.
For now, we have to give Cleeve Racing a FAILED verdict unfortunately.
Unless there is a remarkable turnaround in their results, we could not recommended this service at the current time.

Ease of Use: Cleeve Racing is straightforward to follow, with an average of 1 bet per day, making it a manageable service for most punters. Bets are sent out on the day of racing usually, but with plenty of time to place the bets. The tips come with detailed reasoning, providing a good level of transparency and insight into the selection process.
Availability of Prices: One of the service’s strengths is the availability of prices. The tips are usually advised at odds that are widely available across the major bookmakers, which means that subscribers should be able to secure the same odds without too much difficulty.
Strike Rate: The strike rate during our review period was 41% (including placed horses), which is respectable and suggests that Cleeve Racing can find winners on a consistent basis.
However, despite this relatively solid strike rate, the winners have not been enough to counterbalance the losses, resulting in a significant loss overall.
Advised Betting Bank: No betting bank was advised that we could see, so we used a 200pt bank for the purposes of our review. With a loss of -128 points during the review period, that represented a 64% reduction in the bank which is quite a substantial hit.
Subscription Costs: The service is priced at £40 per month or £329 per year at the time of writing. These are relatively high subscription fees, especially considering the results achieved during our trial.
OVERALL VERDICT: FAILED
Cleeve Racing has been a well-regarded name in the horse racing tipping industry and with a new tipster installed in 2022 reporting very promising results, we had high hopes for our re-review of the service.
Despite such hopes however, the service sadly struggled during our review period, recording a loss of -128 points and a troubling ROI of -22%.
Given these results, we must unfortunately give Cleeve Racing a FAILED verdict at this time. We will keep an eye on the service to see if they can turn it around, but for the time being it is not a service we can recommend.

Small signs of a recovery lately with 3 winners in the last 5 bets and quite a few seconds over the last month, so hopefully they can build on that and start to reduce the deficit.

It’s a similar story at Betfair SP, with a loss of 20 points made since our last update and 64 points lost for our trial overall at BSP.
We are starting to think we are a jinx for this service. When we reviewed it a few years ago it struggled, then when our review ended they went and made 340 points profit. Now when we are reviewing again they are down. 🙁

Every once in a while here at Honest Betting Reviews we like to give services we have reviewed in the past a second look.
This could be because they have had a significant reversal in fortunes, a change of strategy or have revamped their service altogether.
An example of this is a service we reviewed some time ago but that has come up on our radar once again after major changes – and much improved results – and that is Cleeve Racing.
This is a horse racing tipster we originally reviewed back in 2020 and to be frank, it had a pretty horrible time during that trial.
Despite being a respected service with strong results coming into our trial, unfortunately they finished over 100 points down at the end of our review.
Now 2020, as you will no doubt remember, was a tough time for racing (and just about everything else!) as racing was cancelled due to covid and then had a revised and condensed schedule.
Whatever the difficulties faced however, sadly the service just didn’t perform.
However, in May 2022 Cleeve Racing got a new tipster and since then it has looked like a completely different service.
In many ways of course, getting a new tipster is like starting a new service, so perhaps it isn’t even accurate to call this a “re-review” at all and calling it a “new review” would be more accurate.
In any event, we don’t want to get too bogged down in semantics so let’s get down to the brass tacks instead.
Since the new tipster – a chap called Mike with many years of experience as a professional punter – took over in May 2022, he has made a superb 340 points profit.
That has been achieved with an excellent return on investment (ROI) of just over 20%.
Fifteen out of the seventeen months Mike has been tipping have been profitable, which is the kind of consistency we like to see!

We are starting a new review today of a horse racing service called All Weather Place.
This is a tipster based at the Betting Gods tipster platform and they take a rather different approach to betting than most horse racing tipsters out there.
As the name suggests, they focus solely on all-weather racing and just on the place market.
It’s an interesting approach and not one we’ve seen tried successfully before – although very few tipsters have tried it in fairness. Most focus on the win or each-way markets.
However, we have often wondered if there could be value in the place markets, with for example certain horses who tend to perform consistently and grab a place but rarely win.
The service has been going for just over a year now and the results have been solid, with a shade under 50 points profit made in total.
That has come with a good strike rate of 40% and a decent return on investment (ROI) of 9%.
The good news is that all results are at Betfair SP, so there are no worries for those who have had their bookie accounts restricted.
We are always open to new ideas and approaches to betting so will be interesting to see how this one gets on in our live trial.

One of the first services we reviewed back when launching this website was a horse racing service called Racing Consultants.
In our original review back in 2015 (see below) it made an excellent 135 points profit, earning a deserved PASSED rating.
Regular followers will know one of the most important qualities we look for in a service is longevity – the ability to produce a long-term profit over the course of many years.
That proves a service is not just a flash in the pan or had a lucky run, but has a genuine edge over the bookies.
It is these time-tested services that tend to prove their worth in the long run, whilst other services fall by the wayside.
So with the service continuing to perform very well after our original review ended, we though it was time for a follow-up review to track the results fully again and see what they could deliver.
When we did our original review there were two tipsters – Rory Delargy and David Massey, but now it is just Rory.
So perhaps the name should be changed to “Racing Consultant” (singular) rather then “Racing Consultants.”
In any event, Mr Delargy is well known in racing circles, being chief British racing correspondent for the Irish Field newspaper, and also writes a daily column for the Irish Daily Star, having previously been a regular pundit on Timeform Radio and William Hill Racing Radio – so clearly knows his stuff.
He provides detailed write-ups and analysis of the tips so you can see the level of knowledge and insight Rory has.
We proofed the tips for over two years in our re-review, which gave us a very good body of data – over 1700 bets in fact.
At the end of all that, Rory finished with a profit of 91 points at advised prices.
That came with a solid strike rate of 24% (including placed horses) and a return on investment of 4%.
Overall then across our two reviews, the service has made 226 points profit, which is highly commendable.
The results at Betfair SP weren’t quite as impressive, with a loss of 7 points made for our re-review.
Since starting up ten years ago, the Racing Consultants have made 1100 points profit, results which we have no reason to doubt given the accuracy of their reported results across our two extensive proofing periods.
That puts them right up there with the top tipsters in the sport.
Whilst the results in our re-review were solid rather than spectacular, what you get with this service is consistency and long-term profitability, which is what counts most in the end.
There are very few services out there that are still going after ten years, let alone making over 1,000 points profit.
That proves a clear edge over the bookies and puts them in elite company.
At the end of the day, it’s this consistency and standing the test of time that is far more valuable than a tipster that shines bright for a short time then fizzles out.
So it’s a clear PASSED rating for the Racing Consultants from us and a service well worth adding to the portfolio.

Advised Betting Bank: The advised betting bank is 100 points which is perhaps a little on the low side as we did go 67 points down at one point in the trial, which would be two thirds of the bank and a little too close to comfort for some. So if you wanted to be on the safe side we think a 150 point bank would be advisable.
Subscription costs: The subscription costs are fair considering the consistent results they have achieved, at £29.99 per month or £199 per year at the time of writing.

Tips are normally sent out late morning/early afternoon, so the markets are well formed by that stage. They also come with detailed write-ups so you can see Rory who provides the selections has really done his homework.
One of the first services we reviewed back when launching this website was a horse racing service called Racing Consultants.
In our original review back in 2015 (see below) it made an excellent 135 points profit, earning a deserved PASSED rating.
We then updated our review back in 2017, at which point it had made 255 points profit since we began following the service.
Regular followers will know one of the most important qualities we look for in a service is longevity – the ability to produce a long-term profit over the course of many years.
That proves a service is not just a flash in the pan or had a lucky run, but has a genuine edge over the bookies. It is these time-tested services that tend to prove their worth in the long run, whilst other services fall off and disappear.
In this spirit it is noteworthy that the Racing Consultants have continued to produce impressive results after our last review update and are now a massive 1,000 points up in total and have a body of work going back over eight years.
That puts them in a very exclusive club of tipsters and always makes us sit up and take notice.
So it is high time to take another look at the service and update our original review from a few years ago.
Just a note that when we did our original review there were two tipsters – Rory Delargy and David Massey, but now it is just Rory.
That hasn’t harmed the results at all – in fact since Rory took solo charge in 2017 the results have been just as impressive, if not better.
Mr Delargy is well known in racing circles, being chief British racing correspondent for the Irish Field newspaper, and also writes a daily column for the Irish Daily Star, having previously been a regular pundit on Timeform Radio and William Hill Racing Radio.
What you get with the service is detailed write-ups and analysis of the tips so you can see the level of knowledge and insight Rory has.
Anyway, without further ado we will get this re-review underway and hopefully we haven’t jinxed things with our build-up here…
It’s worth pointing out there is currently a half-price trial for the first month, which is a decent offer given the results achieved.
Here at Honest Betting Reviews, we don’t like to just review a service for three months and then forget about it.
No, we like to keep monitoring services to see if they continue meriting the original rating we gave them.
So in that spirit, today we are updating a service we have been following for close to 20 months – theRacing Consultants.
This is a horse racing tipping service with tips provided by two industry experts, Rory Delargy and David Massey.
They originally gained an approved rating from us, notching up a very impressive 135 points of profit during the three month trial back in 2015.
It has been something of a rollercoaster ride since then though, with good profits made in the remainder of 2015 following our trial, but then a tough 2016, with a loss of 17 points made on the year.
Thankfully 2017 has started off more positively, with 60 points of profit having been made to date.
Overall then since we have been following them, theRacing Consultantshave made 255 points profit, which is a decent total.
And since the service started in June 2014, they have made 545 points profit. The yearly totals are as follows:-
2014 – 197 points profit
2015 – 305 points profit
2016 – 17 point loss
2017 to date – 60 points profit
So if you had been following them right from the start, you would have done very well.
However, we can only speak of how they have done from when we started monitoring the tips, so what is our feeling now after 20 months?
OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED
We believe that having made profits of over 250 points since we started following them, theRacing Consultantsare still deserving of a recommended rating.
We recognise however that many people will have found the going very tough during 2016 and to have made a loss over the course of a whole year is disappointing.
The majority of punters will have deserted them during 2016, which is understandable given that you would have to pay subscription fees on top of having lost money.
So we are downgrading them from 4.5 stars to 3.5 stars to take the rocky year of 2016 into account.
We will continue monitoring things and hopefully results will continue in the positive fashion they have started in 2017.
Normally when we hear the words “industry insiders” we make sure our wallets are firmly closed and head for the exit as quickly as possible.
It is usually the fastest way to the poor house to follow so-called “experts” who claim to have some kind of inside knowledge that will make you untold riches. The vast majority of the time it is either lies – they don’t have any special insights – or the info they do have is worse than useless.
So we have been pleasantly surprised by the achievements of two well-known racing industry professionals, Rory Delargy and David Massey, during our trial of their Racing Consultants service.
Rory commentates on William Hill Radio and Timeform Radio and is also an Irish Field Naps Correspondent.
David Massey – aka “Chutney Dave” – is also a commentator on William Hill Radio and works for Bet Racing Nation.
To be fair, their “industry insiders” tag is more to do with the fact that they work in the business and so living and breathing it every day has given them a great depth of knowledge, rather than being given any mysterious “inside info” about horses supposedly due to run well.
The hard work they put in has clearly paid off as they amassed a superb 135 points profit during our trial at advised prices and 129 points profit at Betfair SP.

As you can see, a very dramatic jump occurred around half way through the trial, when they landed an audacious 66/1 double – whilst backing the selections as singles as well.
That gave the results a boost of about 80 points in one fell swoop. Even taking that out of the equation though, they still made over 50 points profit from all their other selections, which is none too shabby.
You will note the very close totals there between advised prices and Betfair SP, which is very encouraging. So you should be able to just about match the published results just using Betfair.
You can view a full reasoning behind the tips each day via the website and it is reassuring to see the amount of work that has gone in to producing the selections.
Looking at their performance overall, they have made just under 400 points profit since the service started in June 2014. That equates to 25 points profit per month.
Now we haven’t officially proofed the previous results prior to our three month trial, but we have been subscribers to the service since late 2014 so can testify that the published results are accurate.
They have shown a decent level of consistency too, with 12 out of 16 months being winning months.
So a definite pass rating for the Racing Consultants. Let’s have a look now at how the service breaks down.
Service Breakdown
Ease of use: OK – there are on average 3.4 bets per day, so a bit of time is needed each day to put the bets on.
Availability of prices: OK – tips are normally sent out in the morning, with best bookies prices quoted. Some of those prices do get pushed in initially. But with the Betfair SP results nearly equaling the advised prices, that should not be a problem.
Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial might be a little low for some people’s tastes at 15%. That means there are some losing runs to cope with and patience is required if you want to follow this service.
Advised Betting Bank: The advised betting bank is 100 points which we think is just about OK. There have been a couple of 40-odd point drawdowns over the lifetime of the service, so if you wanted to be on the safe side we think a 150 point bank would be advisable.
Subscription costs: The subscription costs are very fair considering the quality of results they have achieved, at £39.99 per month or £199 per year.
OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED
Overall we have been very impressed with the results achieved by the Racing Consultants. We were perhaps a little lucky to hit them at their best time, with a double that added 80 points to the bank landed during our trial.
At the same time though, they do advise quite a few of these special bets, a number of which have been close, so were maybe due one coming in for them.
Even leaving that aside however, they still made over 50 points profit during the trial. And the fact that the Betfair SP results almost matched the advised price results means you should be able to achieve close to the published results – which is not something you can say about every service we review here.
So in summary we are delighted to find some “industry insiders” who actually know what they are doing for once and put in genuine hard work to achieve great results for their subscribers.
TheRacing Consultants have been in fantastic form since our last update, producing a superb 88 points of profit at advised prices and 96 points profit at Betfair SP.
That means their totals for the trial now stand at:
Their results were helped greatly by a magnificent double a couple of weeks ago at Catterick, where they firstly landed Di’s Gift at 5/1 and then followed it up with Llewellyn at 10/1 an hour later.
They backed not only the singles but also a double at 66/1 to give 78 points profit on the day. Awesome stuff!
That now means they have more than doubled the bank since the beginning of our trial two months ago. Highly commendable work from the lads.
We have just under a month to go on this one, but barring some kind of dramatic collapse a la the Australian batting line-up, this one looks headed for the winning systems list.
Punter’s Profit Pro is a horse racing tipster from the Betting Gods stable of tipsters. They have been tipping since May 2023 and provide around 2 bets per day on average.
The staking with this service is a little higher than most services we review at up to 5 points per bet, so that should be borne in mind when considering a betting bank for following the service. A 150 point bank is recommended by Betting Gods.
Flat and all-weather racing is their specialism and we got a good portion of both in our six month trial.
Over that period we proofed over 350 bets which is a decent sample size.
It was quite an up-and-down review, with them going over 80 points up at one stage in our trial, only to fall all the way back down to finish with just 2 points profit at advised prices.
The strike rate was solid at 28% whilst the ROI was negligible at 0.3%.
At Betfair SP they fared a little worse, with a loss of 13 points made for our trial.
Overall then the only fair rating here is a NEUTRAL rating, as they finished more or less even for our trial after six months.
They did promise much early on, but sadly we are basically back to where we started after six months.
Service Breakdown
Ease of use: The selections are sent out e-mail (or via the Betting Gods app), usually around 8am UK time on the day of racing. There is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 2 bets per day on average the workload is very manageable.
Availability of prices: There was no real issue with price availability.
Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was solid at 28% (including placed horses), but would have needed to be a little higher to generate a more healthy profit.
Advised Betting Bank: A 150 point bank is recommended for following the service, which seems okay to us but given the staking of up to 5 points per bet, a 200 point bank might be more advisable here.
Subscription costs: The subscription costs at the time of writing are £1 for first 30 days then £29 per month or £290 per year.
OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL
We conducted a six month trial of horse racing tipster Punter’s Profit Pro and in the end it finished with a profit of 2 points at advised prices.
So in effect it pretty much broke even for our trial and the only fair verdict in this case is a NEUTRAL rating.
The results at Betfair SP have also been strong, with a profit of 21 points made since our last update and 63 points profit made for our trial to date at BSP.
As mentioned in the review introduction, the staking with this service is quite aggressive at up to 5 points per bet, so that’s worth bearing in mind and making sure you have a sufficient bank if you are thinking of following the service.
Things continue to move along nicely for horse racing tipster Punter’s Profit Pro, with a profit of 21 points made to advised prices since our last update.
That means they are now 54 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.
The results at Betfair SP have also stood up well, with a profit of 21 points made since our last update and 42 points profit made for our trial to date at BSP.
As mentioned in the review introduction, the staking with this service is quite aggressive at up to 5 points per bet, so that’s worth bearing in mind and making sure you have a sufficient bank if you are thinking of following the service.
The results at Betfair SP have also stood up well, with a profit of 7 points made since our last update and 21 points profit made for our trial to date at BSP.

It’s also been a solid start at Betfair SP, with a profit of 14 points made for our trial to date at BSP.

We are starting a new trial today of a horse racing service called Punter’s Profit Pro.
This comes from the Betting Gods stable of tipsters and they have been tipping since May 2023.
The results are pretty solid, with 126 points profit made so far at a return on investment (ROI) of 12% and a strike rate of 24%.
The staking with this service is a little higher at up to 4 points per bet, so that should be borne in mind when considering a betting bank for following the service. A 150 point bank is recommended by Betting Gods.
On average there are around 2 bets per day so it should be fairly simple service to follow.
Flat and all-weather racing seems to be their specialism so we should be in a good time now with the all-weather season ramping up towards its conclusion before the flat turf season gets going.
Anyway, let’s hope for a good trial here to kick off 2024.

After following JPW Racing Tipster for an extended trial of 16 months, it’s time to deliver our final verdict on this horse racing service.
JPW – or James P Walsh to give him his full name – has been a long-established name in the world of racing tips, boasting a large following and a reputation for delivering consistent profits.
We monitored selections for the weekend tips only, although there are options to follow just festivals, Saturdays, weekends or a combination of those.
Coming into our trial JPW had made a profit of 344 points profit on the weekend selections so we were eager to see how he got on in our live trial.
Performance Over the course of our trial, JPW Racing Tipster delivered a solid performance, with a profit of 60 points made from 583 tips.
That was achieved with a decent ROI (Return on Investment) of 9% and a strike rate of 32% (including placed horses).
Those are commendable figures, especially considering the service focuses on high-quality racing at the weekends with strong liquidity.
A good profit of 42 points was also made at Betfair SP, so it looks like a viable service for those restricted to the exchanges.
The only thing slight downside is that service did hit a high point of over 110 points profit at advised prices in September 2023, so there was a bit of a decline between then and the end of our trial.
However, the overall results are more than respectable so we are happy to award JPW Racing Tipster a PASSED rating after a solid trial.
Service Breakdown
Ease of use: The selections are sent out e-mail, some the evening before racing and some the morning of racing. There is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 8 bets per weekend on average the workload isn’t too bad.
Availability of prices: We didn’t notice too much price pressure overall over the course of our trial. The tips target the bigger races at weekends, where liquidity is usually high.
Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was solid at 32% (including placed horses).
Advised Betting Bank: No betting bank is advised for the service but we used a 100 point bank for our trial. The bank was never in jeopardy during our trial, although we did experience a drawdown of around 50 points at one stage so a 150 point bank could be advisable here.
Subscription costs: The subscription costs at the time of writing are reasonable at £25 for 60 days, £30 for 3 months, £50 for 6 months or £90 for 12 months.
OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED
JPW Racing Tipster is a long-running horse racing service from renowned tipster James Walsh.
There are a few different options in terms of following the tips but we focused on the weekend tips only.
After a 16 month trial the service made a solid profit of 60 points so we are happy to award the service a PASSED rating. A commendable effort.
The results at Betfair SP continue to run slightly behind the results at advised prices, with a loss of27 points made since our last update and 37 points profit made for our trial overall.

We are starting a new trial today of a service called JPW Racing Tipster.
This is one of the longest-running and most established tipsters in the business, having been around for over 14 years now. It may well be a familiar name to you if you have been around the tipping world for a while.
The service is headed by a chap called James Walsh (hence the initials JPW), who also heads up the Tipsters Empire tipping platform.
The JPW Racing service just concentrates on quality racing these days, as they say they don’t have the passion for low grade racing anymore, so during the week for example they concentrate on spending all their time looking ahead to Weekends and Festivals, which they are very passionate about.
In terms of the results, those have been very impressive, with a profit of 344 points made since 2020 for the Weekend selections.
That has been achieved with a return on investment of 23% and a strike rate of 31%, which are excellent combined metrics over a period of three and a half years.
There are an average of 3 tips per weekend which makes it very manageable to follow.
It is worth noting that they offer a number of different services including the National Hunt Package, Flat season package, Festival Only, Saturday Only, Weekend Only or the Option to combine everything, in a joint packages.
For the purposes of this review we will be recording the weekend results. We have six months of tips already verified so will include those in our trial updates.

Banker Bets Football Trading Clubs is a trading service run by a guy called Chris, a professional trader. It is operated out of the long-running Banker Bets platform which we have previously reviewed here at HBR.
Chris provides a number of different betting and trading strategies he’s refined over the past couple of years. They’re a mix of back and lay betting, some pre-match and some in-play.
The service is supplied via the Telegram messenger app, with members receiving selections for the day via a spreadsheet link and then live alerts for in-play trades.
The number of strategies in operation changed quite a lot over the course of the review as some were dropped and others added. By the end of our review, there were 21 active strategies as part of the service.
In terms of how we proofed the service, we did find it a very difficult service to review to be honest.
We started off proofing three strategies, then expanded it to six once we had got our heads around how the service worked and how to operate the strategies, only to then see five of those six strategies removed from the service, leaving us with just one.
We then added two new strategies to give us something more to proof and to allow us to complete the review, but obviously that wasn’t ideal.
In the end, the one strategy that was in operation for the whole of our trial, the Home Wins, made £285 profit made from stakes ranging from £5 to £20 per bet.
The other two strategies we added later were the overs and draws, and they made:
Overs: +£56 profit
Draws: -£213 loss
So a bit of a mixed bag there with those two.
Of the strategies that were retired, some of them had actually been doing quite well, for example the Home Values Draw were +£494 whilst the 15 minute lay the draw was +£484.
However, Chris felt they weren’t optimal to his service (or there were better ones available) so were replaced by other systems.
There are also some in-play strategies you can trade with those service, although you would need to have the time to be able to enter and exit trades when alerts are given out, which won’t be the case for everyone.
Overall we felt this was a promising service and Chris is clearly very knowledgeable and hard-working.
However, we found it a difficult service to follow and proof and felt there were just a few too many changes made in terms of the strategies being dropped and introduced.
We think it could have benefited from a bit more stability and sticking with some of the strategies that had good long-term results. As the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
All betting strategies go through short-term ups and downs and sometimes it can be worth sticking with them to see how they turn out in the long run.
Anyway, that is just our view – it is obviously up to Chris how he runs the service and what he feels is best.
Overall though, of the strategies still running, the three we proofed made a combined £128 profit from £10 average stakes – or around 13 points profit to one point stakes in other words.
At a return on investment of just 2% and over a period of 12 months we didn’t feel that was quite enough to warrant a passed rating so are only able to award this service a NEUTRAL rating at this time.
Service Breakdown
Ease of use: Selections are provided via the Telegram app. As mentioned above, it is quite a difficult service to follow – firstly to get your head around how all the various strategies work and then to keep up as strategies are added and dropped. How many selections there are each day depends on how many strategies you follow, but if following all you are looking at around 5-10 selections per day most days, with a potential of up to 20 on a busy day.
Availability of prices: The prices quoted seemed reasonably available on Betfair overall – some would shorten whilst others drifted, pretty much evening out overall.
Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was decent at 62% across the three active systems.
Advised Betting Bank: 1-3% staking of the bank per bet is recommended for following the service, which seems reasonable to us given the high strike rate.
Subscription costs: The subscription costs at the time of writing are £33 per month, £79 per quarter or £277 per year.
OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL
Banker Bets Football Trading Clubs is a mixture of different betting and trading strategies, including back and lay betting, some pre-match and some in-play.
We found it quite a difficult service to review to be honest, with strategies being added and removed throughout our trial and it taking quite a bit of effort to understand how they all worked.
At the end of our trial, the three active strategies we proofed finished a combined £128 up at £10 average stakes, meaning this service receives a NEUTRAL rating from us in the end.

It has been a mixed bag for the systems of the Banker Bets Football Trading Clubs lately, with some quite different results being posted for the three systems we are proofing:
Home Win: +£285 profit
Overs: +£56 profit
Draws: -£213 loss
That means the three systems are a combined £128 up for our trial overall.
Just a reminder that five of the six systems we were proofing have now been retired, with the only one remaining from when we started being the Home Win system.
We have recently added in the Overs and Draws systems, which as you can see have had quite varying results so far.
Hopefully these three stay in operation for the time being to allow us to complete the review.

It has become somewhat difficult to review Banker Bets Football Trading Clubs lately, with five of the six systems we had been proofing now no longer in operation.
The one system that is still in operation, the Home Win system, has lost £48 since our last update.
That means it is now £262 up for our trial overall.
This has left us in a tricky position as to what to do with this review going forward.
Normally we like to stick to whatever systems or strategies are in place at the outset of our review and follow them through to the end. It is not ideal to be adding and removing strategies as you go along.
It also calls into question somewhat the viability of the service if strategies are being retired, in essence as they are either not profitable or not practical to follow.
However, we want to be fair as possible and to see if we can make a sustainable profit from this service.
So we will continue with the one strategy that is still going, the Home Wins – which to be fair is well in profit – and add two more strategies.
These will be the Overs and the Draws.
We will stick with these three until the end of our trial and hopefully they will remain in operation so we can finish our review.

A small drop for Banker Bets Football Trading Clubs lately, with a loss of£143 or 14.3 points made since our last update on the six systems we have been proofing.
The results for those six strategies are as follows (at £10 per point):-
15 Minute LTD: +£489 profit
Home Values Draw – RETIRED: +£494 profit
Home Win: +£310 profit
Home Win LTD: -£9 loss
HT LTD V2: -£39 loss
Double Chance – RETIRED: -£56 loss
That means the total now stands at £1189, or 119 points profit made for our trial so far.
As you can see above, two of the systems have been retired – the Home Values Draw and Double Chance systems.
We are slightly surprised by the Home Values Draw being retired as it was nearly £500 in profit, but obviously they feel it hasn’t quite been performing well enough recently to justify continuing with.
Anyway, that leaves us with four systems to follow for the time being which makes things a little easier and hopefully those remaining four systems can kick on again.

That means the total now stands at £1417, or 142 points profit made for our trial so far.
As mentioned previously there is a lot to take in with this service so we would advise starting off with just 2-3 systems, as it can be quite overwhelming trying to get your head around everything right from the start and you risk potentially making mistakes, over-staking or not quite understanding it all straight away.
With the new season kicking off the action should really start picking up over the next few weeks and hopefully they can repeat the success of last season and add to the already substantial profits.

A small gain for Banker Bets Football Trading Clubs lately, with a profit of£16, or 1.6 points, made since our last update on the main three systems we have been proofing.
The results for those three strategies are as follows:-
15 Minute LTD: +£511 profit
Home Values Draw: +£531 profit
Home Win: +£356 profit
Those results are to £10 per point stakes so the total of £1398 profit is equivalent to 139.8 points profit for our trial so far.
Since our last update we have added in three further systems:
Home Win LTD: +£60 profit
HT LTD V2: -£36 loss
Double Chance: +25 profit
All in all then with that £49 across those three systems, the total now stands at £1450, or 145 points profit made for our trial so far.
We would advise starting off with just 2-3 systems, as it can be quite overwhelming trying to get your head around everything right from the start and you risk potentially making mistakes, over-staking or not quite understanding it all straight away.
Whilst each strategy in itself is not overly complicated, altogether there are 16 strategies currently which is a lot to take in.
So we would say take it slow and steady and build things up with this one. Overall we have been very impressed with the service but it does take some effort to fully grasp everything as we say.

Firstly an apology for the delay in updating our review of Banker Bets Football Trading Clubs. It is quite a difficult service to review as there are 17 separate strategies and a huge amount to take in.
The main thing we had to decide on was which of these strategies we would proof as it would not be feasible to try and track all of them – or even half of them to be honest.
After some careful thought we have settled on three strategies – one of which is an in-play strategy and the other two are pre-match strategies.
The three strategies are:-
15 Minute Lay the Draw (LTD) – this involves laying the draw in a match after 15 minutes if the score is still 0-0.
Home Values Draw – backing the draw before kick-off
Home Win – backing the home win before kick-off.
These three strategies are all pretty simple to operate and should be manageable for anyone, even if you are new to betting/trading.
In any event, the results for those three strategies have been very good:
15 Minute LTD: +£497 profit
Home Values Draw: +£560 profit
Home Win: +£325 profit
Those results are to £10 per point stakes so the total of £1382 profit is equivalent to 138 points profit for our trial so far.
Although we haven’t been able to proof all the strategies as we say, the official results show a profit of 389 points in total for 2023 for the strategies combined.
So it’s been impressive stuff so far.
All the selections are sent out by Telegram and the odds quoted are with the Betfair exchange.
For us following three strategies is just about manageable but there may be members who follow more (or all) so it’s a question of picking what is right for you.
The trader behind the service is a guy called Chris, a professional trader who has been proofing to the Banker Bets site for 8 months and has reportedly made an impressive £7,373 profit in that time.
Chris operates 6 profitable trading strategies he’s refined over the past couple of years. They’re a mix of back and lay betting, some pre-match and some in-play.
The trading strategies have reportedly produced the following results:-
Lay the Draw: +£1568 profit
Half-time Lay the Draw: +£1317 profit
60 minute Lay the Draw: +£409 profit
Double Chance: +£749 profit
Second half goals: +£2518 profit
Overs: +£814 profit
In terms of what all that means in points terms is a little difficult to say as different staking is used for each system (and even within each system), ranging from as little as £10 up to over £100 stake liability.
However, clearly the results have been excellent (presuming they are accurate of course) in terms of achieving substantial profit across each of the strategies. The strike rate across the strategies has been high at 77% overall.
The trades are provided via the Telegram app where you’ll receive notification of each selection.
We are quite excited by this one as we have always felt there is great scope to make profits from trading football, but with one or two notable exceptions (e.g. Goal Profits), we are yet to see any services actually produce trading profits under live trial conditions.
As ever we will reserve judgement until we have conducted the trial but we are at least hopeful this could be a decent trading service. Results will be updated here as we go along as usual.

Just a note to say this service has been discontinued. They had rather been labouring for a while and not quite producing the hoped-for results so it’s not a surprise to see it be discontinued.
In fact it had been closed to new members for a while so the writing did look like it was on the wall.
In they end they finished our trial 9 points down, which wasn’t a total disaster and probably would have warranted a neutral rating in the end.

Has been a very encouraging start here, with 21 of the 23 bets so far having won, which is what we like to see.
Here at Honest Betting Reviews we have scoured the market far and wide over the last seven years in search of good lay betting services.
Sadly to date we have only really uncovered one good laying service that is still going and that is Little Acorns.
In theory it sounds easy to bet on horses to lose – surely anyone can find horses that aren’t going to win today, or any other day for that matter if you consider some horses we have backed over the years.
It is actually much more difficult in practice and just like any other form of betting, it relies on finding value.
One service that looks like it may have cracked the code of laying however is The Lay Bet Tipster, which we are starting a review of today.
It has been proofing to the Betting Gods platform for six months now and in that time has made a highly creditable 74 points profit to 1 point lay bets.
That’s a more than decent total to have amassed from lay betting and it has come with a high strike rate of 84%, which means a very high proportion of winning bets.
In terms of the ROI, that currently sits at just over 8% which is pretty good considering the very high strike rate.
The monthly profits have been very stable and consistent too which is something we like to see.
Tips are provided by a chap called Darren who is an accountant-turned-full-time professional bettor.
He says he “started betting on horses part-time to gain a second income. Fast forward a few years and clearly, my accountancy skills paid off as I found a lucrative way to profit from the horses and make it my full-time income.”
Making an income from betting is no easy feat so it probably helps to have the skills and attention to detail of an accountant to make it work.
In any event, the true test will be whether he can produce the goods under live trial conditions so we’ll get our review underway today and will update results here soon so you can see how he’s getting on.
