Greyhound Maestro – Full Review

It’s been a while since we reviewed a greyhound service here at Honest Betting Reviews and in over five years we have only found one profitable one, Premier Greyhound Tips.

So it was good to get stuck into another promising greyhound service and we ran an extended seven month trial to get a really thorough look at Greyhound Maestro, from the Bet Hub tipster platform

We are pleased to say that after our extensive review it produced an excellent 73 points profit at a return on investment of 17%

The strike rate was a solid 29% so there were a decent proportion of winners and with just 1-2 bets per day it’s a very simple service to follow.

It was also very consistent and they were never in deficit at any stage of our trial as you can see below:

So pretty steady growth as demonstrated in the graph, which matches the longer-term picture prior to our trial of solid profit building over a long period of time.

And the really great news is that greyhound racing is still going during the coronavirus so you can follow the service right now! (Update 25th March – please note UK greyhound racing has been suspended for the time being. News of a planned recommencement date is awaited).

Overall then we are pleased to award Greyhound Maestro a PASSED rating after an impressive trial and it’s nice to finally have a second profitable greyhound service.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are sent out via e-mail usually early in the morning but sometimes later in the day. With an average of just 1-2 bets per day it’s a very simple service to follow.

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice any real pressure on prices during our trial so you should be able to match the published results fairly closely.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 29% which is pretty solid and meant there was a steady stream of winners.

Advised Betting Bank: We couldn’t find a recommended bank for the service but would imagine a 100 point bank would be more than sufficient for following the service and that is what we used for this trial.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are free for the first 14 days then £33 per month or £75 per quarter, which is pretty reasonable considering the consistency of the results.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

In over five years of running Honest Betting Reviews we have only found one profitable greyhound service so it is really good to have finally found another one.

With an excellent profit of 73 points made with a strong return on investment of 17% and very steady and consistent profits throughout our trial, Greyhound Maestro gets a definite PASSED rating.

And the really good news is greyhound racing is still going on whilst just about every other sport is cancelled during the coronavirus, so you can join and get betting right now! (Update 25th March– please note UK greyhound racing has been suspended for the time being. News of a planned recommencement date is awaited).

Greyhound Maestro – New Review

8th August 2019

It’s been a while since we reviewed a greyhound service here at Honest Betting Reviews. That is mainly because there haven’t been any good ones to look at for quite some time.

However, one worthy of attention has finally landed on our desk so we thought let’s give it a whirl.

The service in question is called Greyhound Maestro and it comes from the Bethub tipster platform.

The dogs are an often overlooked gambling medium living under the shadow of their mightier cousin horse racing, but that lack of attention means there can be profitable angles to exploit and that seems to the case here.

According to Bethub, the Maestro lives and breathes Dog Racing and can often be found giving his expert opinions on the couch on live TV meetings.

The Maestro was previously part of a well known tipping service platform and remains one of their top performing tipsters of all time.

Certainly his record published on the Bethub website would appear to back that up, with 323 points profit made since January 2018 at a return on investment of 25%

The strike rate is also good at over 32% and they have shown admirable consistency with 14 out of 18 months having been profitable to date.

So this looks very promising and we are looking forward to getting a trial underway.

We will aim to run a standard three month trial and will report back here on how they are getting on.

In the meantime you can check out Greyhound Maestro for yourself here.

Each Way Sniper Auto Software Full Review

The future is here. Technology has progressed so far from the early days of gambling on the internet that we now have something that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago.

Yes, step up the Each Way Sniper Auto Software and what is undoubtedly a huge breakthrough in the world of online betting. A piece of software that can simultaneously scan 17 different bookies, find the value and place a bet on your account without you having to lift a finger.

We have recently finished a two month trial of the software and have been completely blown away by both what the software can do and perhaps more importantly, the results. With over £1600 profit made from just £5 each-way stakes and literally no work at all after the software has been set up, it’s been a pretty spectacular trial.

Whilst all of that is amazing there are some small catches with the system, but we will look at those below and how you can mitigate them as much as possible.

First up let’s take a look at how the software works.

How It Works

The software is based on the original Each Way Sniper system which came out a few years ago.  You can read more about it in our review of it, but in a nutshell it is based on spotting value in the place part of an each-way bet on the horses.

It does not use form reading or anything like that, it is purely based on the fact that in certain situations the bookies offer you better odds on the place part of your each-way bet than they should. This is purely a function of how they have to offer each-way bets – e.g. a quarter the odds for the top four places etc.

So if you are getting at least decent odds on the win part, then placing these each-way bets is a sure-fire way to profit in the long run.

What the original each-way sniper system did is scan the markets to compare the Betfair odds with the bookies’ odds and find instances where there was value on the place part of the bet. Then you would have to place the bet yourself. This meant spending a good deal of time in front of the software waiting for possible bets to appear and then spending the time placing them yourself, which for people who work full-time for example was not very practical.

What this new auto-software does however is all the same things as the original service in terms of scanning the market, but it then places the bets automatically for you. It can do this all day and night if you wish, as long as your computer is on and the software is running.

You can choose the staking you want it to use for each bookie and which bookies you would like the software to place bets at. Currently there are 17 bookies available with the software:

  • – Bet 365
  • – William Hill
  • – Ladbrokes
  •  – Coral
  • – Skybet
  • – Betfair Sportsbook
  • – Paddy Power
  • – 888 Sport
  • – Bet Victor
  • – Betfred
  • – Sportingbet
  • – 10bet
  • – Bwin
  • – Bet Hard
  • – Totesport
  • – Unibet
  • – Pokerstars

So hopefully you will have access to at least a few of these bookmakers.

Let’s now take a look at the software in action.

The Auto Software in Action

OK so let’s see what it actually looks like in practice. First up you have the settings panel in which you can choose staking, which bookies to bet with, the maximum and minimum odds you want to bet at, how many bets to place per day and so on.

How to set this up is all explained in videos once you sign up and is pretty straightforward. It should only take around half an hour or so and you only need to do it once, although of course you can adjust the settings at any time if you wish.

Now let’s take a look at the part of the software that scans the markets to find value bets. This is in essence the same as the original Each Way Sniper software:

There isn’t anything extra you need to do here – the settings are carried over from the main settings panel above. This just lets you see what is happening in the background as the software searches for potential bets.

Next up you can see all the bookies and the software actually placing the bets on your accounts, which is pretty cool. Here is Skybet for example:

On the top panel you can select from the various bookies available and see which ones you are logged into.

Finally you have the betting log which records all the results and helpfully highlights the winners in green and losses in red:

Below the main results log it also records where it wasn’t possible to place a bet and the reason for it.

So that’s the auto software in a nutshell.

Results

Now onto the really exciting bit – our results. Amazingly we made over £1600 profit in just two months and to only £5 each-way stakes. That was achieved with a 40% ROI(!) and a 28% strike rate (including placed horses).

All on auto-pilot – we didn’t even have to place the bets!

You can see from the graph below just how smooth and steady the progress was:

As you can see, a pretty fantastic profit graph there!

Obviously those results are fairly incredible and are somewhat above the average you would expect to achieve over the long run using the software.

However, at the same time we would stress that because every single bet placed with the software has value built into it, over the course of a large sample of bets (e.g. 500 or 1,000) you are extremely likely to make a profit. In fact it is as close to guaranteed profit as you can possibly get. Pretty awesome eh?

What to Watch Out For

All that may seem too good to be true and of course, there is a catch. That catch is the bookies really don’t like these sort of bets so there is probably only a limited time you can place them before your accounts become limited.

During our two month trial our triallist (Dan) lost his Coral account and was limited to £1 bets at Betfred. So there are risks involved and you should be aware heading in that you could suffer restrictions.

At the same time however, we know there are people on the EWS Facebook group who are still quite happily doing these bets a year or two later, having been restricted to £1 e/w bets and are still able to make a couple of hundred quid a month from doing it for very little risk. So even if you do suffer some restrictions, it is not necessarily the end of the world.

The way we look at it is that there are probably some bookie accounts you never use anyway and so wouldn’t mind losing. For example we never use the likes of Bwin, 10bet and Bethard so it’s no big loss if they get restricted. Even some of the more mainstream accounts like Paddy Power and William Hill we don’t use very much so were quite happy to use them for EWS.

And of course you may ask yourself if you are making a profit with these accounts in the first place. If not, then having a system that actually makes a profit – even for a limited time – is better than continuing to lose money with these bookies.

Either way, ultimately it is up to you if you want to risk having some accounts restricted or closed. Just beware the risk is there and don’t be shocked if it does happen. Hopefully you will have amassed a nice healthy bounty from the bookies before it happens.

The other thing to mention is that it’s definitely an advantage to have an account with Bet 365 if you are going to use the software as a good proportion of the bets we had were with them.

OVERALL RATING: PASSED

The Each Way Sniper Auto Software is one of the most impressive pieces of kit we have come across in the world of betting in many years – perhaps ever! Mike Cruickshank has always been at the forefront of innovation when it comes to betting software and he really has outdone himself this time.

We were blown away by both the quality of the software and the results. With over £1,600 profit made in just under two months at an ROI of 40% this undoubtedly deserves a PASSED rating.

Yes there is a caveat in terms of the risk of bookie restrictions, but ultimately we think this can be managed. If you stick to sensible staking and don’t mind having a few accounts possibly restricted then this is a great way to make yourself some substantial extra income – with very low risk.

We understand Mike will be limiting memberships in order to ensure there aren’t too many people placing bets at the same time, so we would advise grabbing a place whilst you can.

You can check out the Each Way Sniper Auto Software here.

Racing Odds – Full Review

Racing Odds is a horse racing tipster run by a guy called Paul Towers and it has been operating for a full year now. The service has a very nice website and had some positive results coming into our trial, with 147 points profit apparently made.

For the early part of our trial, things moved along very nicely with a profit made in each of the first four months.

Sadly in August that spell was broken however with a small loss made and then in September they had a tough month, with a loss of 42 points made to advised prices (with BOG applied).

Overall though even with a rough couple of months at the end of our trial they still finished with a decent profit of 36 points to advised prices (with BOG applied).

Without BOG applied, they made a loss of 2 points to advised prices.

However, at Betfair SP they made a healthy 55 points profit which is good to see – and also very rare to find a service doing considerably better at BSP than at advised prices.

Here is the profit graph for the trial at BSP:

As you can see it was pretty steady growth until a dip at the end but still a healthy profit made overall.

Based on the BSP results then we are happy to award Racing Odds a PASSED rating as it is a notable achievement to make a profit betting purely on Betfair and without needing bookies accounts.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are normally sent out the morning of racing at around 10am UK time. With just 1-2 tips per day it’s a very straightforward service to follow.

Availability of prices: This was an interesting one as stated above in that the BSP results actually beat the advised prices, even with BOG applied, so it looks like you are better off using Betfair and not even worrying about the availability of prices at the bookmakers.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 23% which is pretty solid, although there were still some losing runs of 20+ bets, so patience is required – as ever.

Advised Betting Bank: We couldn’t find any bank recommended for following the service but with the strike rate and staking we think a 100 point bank should be sufficient and that is what we used for this trial.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are a little on the high side at £49.99/month so we think this would only be suitable for people able to stake at a sufficient level to make it worthwhile (e.g. at least £10-£20 per point).

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

Racing Odds is a nice, simple service to follow and it achieved the rare feat of being profitable at BSP and having better results on Betfair than at the bookies.

Whilst at one stage it looked like the trial was going to finish with a much higher total before having a disappointing last couple of months, a decent profit of 55 points was still made at BSP and we therefore consider the service is worthy of a PASSED rating.

We will keep an eye on things to see how it progresses over coming months and if it can get back to the kind of consistency shown earlier this year.

Racing Odds – Results Update

25th September 2019

Sadly there’s been quite a downswing for Racing Odds this month, with a loss of 54 points made to advised prices since our last update.

But fortunately after their previous gains they are still 40 points up at advised prices (with BOG applied) for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Without BOG applied they are 2 points up for our trial at advised prices.

The good news though is that the BSP results are still beating the advised prices, with 53 points lost since our last update but 65 points profit made for our trial overall.

Hopefully this month is just a blip as nine of their previous eleven months have been profitable which is an impressive level of consistency. So let’s see if they can get back to winning ways by the time of our next update.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Racing Odds – Results Update

26th August 2019

Yet more profit for Racing Odds since our last update, with another 11 points profit at advised prices (BOG applied) over the last month.

That means they are now 94 points up for our trial overall at advised prices (BOG applied).

You can view full results here.

Without BOG applied they are 56 points up for our trial at advised prices.

The Betfair SP results continue to outshine the advised prices however, with another 6 points profit added since our last update and 118 points profit made for our trial overall.

It’s great to see the BSP results continuing to perform so well and let’s hope that continues over the long run as it would be very valuable to have a service that is profitable on Betfair as well as at the bookies.

Racing Odds – Results Update

26th July 2019

It’s been another excellent month for Racing Odds, which is fast becoming one of the best racing services we have reviewed for quite a while.

With another 32 points profit made at advised prices (with BOG applied) since our last update a month ago, they are now 83 points up at advised prices (with BOG) for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Without BOG applied they are 46 points up for our trial at advised prices.

Amazingly though the Betfair SP results continue to perform the strongest, with another 34 points profit added since our last update and 112 points profit made for our trial overall.

What we really like about this service is its consistency, with every month of our trial having been profitable so far and nine out of ten months for the service in total.

Racing Odds – Results Update

24th June 2019

Racing Odds continues to churn out the profit, with another 41 points made at BOG since our last update a month ago.

That means they are now 51 points up at BOG for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

At advised prices without BOG, the results would actually be about 32 points lower, so it shows you what the value of BOG can be.

However, the service is actually doing best at Betfair SP, with 39 points profit made since our last update and 78 points profit made for our trial overall.

It is very rare to see the BSP results doing so much better than the advised prices so worth keeping an eye on going forward.

Racing Odds – Results Update

23rd May 2019

Horse racing tipster Racing Odds has made a good comeback over the last month, making a profit of 34 points at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 10 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

It’s worth noting that the official results at advised prices are based on best odds guaranteed (BOG) and would actually be about 10 points lower without BOG.

At Betfair SP though the results are actually better, with a profit of 39 points made since our last update and 15 points profit made for our trial overall.

Racing Odds – Results Update

25th April 2019

Things haven’t gotten off to an ideal start for Racing Odds, with a loss of 24 points made at advised prices so far after one month of our trial.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP it’s the same story with 24 points also lost for our trial to date.

This looks like it’s a case of reviewer’s curse, with excellent results heading into our trial followed by a crash in form as soon as it starts.

However, it’s still early days and plenty of time to turn things around so let’s see if they can get back on track by our next update.

Racing Odds – New Review

5th April 2019

We were recently contacted about a new horse racing tipster called Racing Odds, which has a rather smart looking website and some promising results to back it up.

The service is run by a guy called Paul Towers and he says his strategy is based on his “experience over the years from following horse racing. I look at various factors when reviewing the selections for the day and only picks ones I am confident about and do not pick for the sake of having a selection, as some days there may be no selections.”

He has been running his strategy since October 2018 and in that time has amassed some impressive-looking results, with 147 points profit made since starting up.

That has been achieved with a decent strike rate of 34% and a very commendable ROI of 42%. Five of the six completed months so far have been profitable, with the one losing month only dropping 2 points.

It is a selective approach with only around one bet per day, so should be a fairly simple service to follow.

All in all then this looks like an interesting service and we look forward to seeing how it gets on during our review.

We started receiving tips last Friday 29th March, so will record results from then. Results will be updated here periodically during the review.

In the meantime you can check out Racing Odds for yourself here.

Loves Racing – Full Review

Loves Racing is a horse racing tipster service provided by a guy called Brett Love who started adult life as a professional footballer but when injury cut that career short Brett turned to pro gambling and more recently tipping to a select group of private clients.

Brett has established quite a reputation for himself since he went live to paying members in November 2017, apparently amassing over 450 points profit in the 18 months prior to our review commencing.

It’s an interesting approach to tipping in that Brett concentrates solely on the big races and festivals, so the vast majority of tips come at the weekends and there aren’t normally tips during the week, unless there is a big festival like Cheltenham or Royal Ascot happening.

That means it’s quite an easy service to follow in terms of workload and as he only tips in big races, prices tend to hold up pretty well too.

Brett provides detailed write-ups for his selections and you can see he puts a lot of time into his work and really knows his stuff.

On to the important part though, how did the results stack up during our review?

We are pleased to report that the results were very good, with a profit of 65 points made to advised prices during our six month trial.

That was achieved with a strike rate of 19% and an excellent return on investment of 26%

It was quite a steady performer throughout the trial and was only very briefly down at any point, as you can see below:

The Betfair SP results weren’t quite as good but were still profitable, with 27 points profit made over the course of our trial.

As an added bonus there are festival tips which Brett sends out. He advises a separate betting bank of 30 points for those and they made a decent 19 points profit during our trial at advised prices, boosting the overall profit made by Brett to 84 points.

Given the very positive results achieved then at an impressive ROI, we have no hesitation in awarding Loves Racing a PASSED rating. We view this as a serious service for serious punters and could see it being around for quite a while.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are normally sent out the evening before racing at around 5-7pm UK time and then there are sometimes additional tips sent out early in the morning for that day’s racing. As mentioned above, tips are normally just sent at weekends (with the exception of the big festivals) so the workload is pretty low in following the service.

Availability of prices: You do need to try and take the prices when the tips are sent out, although being big races prices tend to hold up better than for a lot of other services. The BSP results were still pretty good, but made less than half the profit of those of the advised prices, testament perhaps to Brett’s ability to find value.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 19%, so this is a service requiring a degree of patience, although over the history of the tips there doesn’t appear to have been any severe drawdowns, but of course one could hit at any time so being prepared for that is advisable.

Advised Betting Bank: We couldn’t find any recommended bank for the service but with the strike rate and staking we think a 100 point bank should be sufficient and that is what we used for this trial.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are on the high side at £59.99/month so we think this would only be suitable for people able to stake at a sufficient level to make it worthwhile (e.g. at least £10-£20 per point).

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

Brett Love is a respected tipster who has established a strong reputation for himself since he began tipping a couple of years ago and that reputation appears well deserved on the basis of our trial.

With a profit of 65 points made at advised prices for his main tips and 19 points profit for his festival tips, we are happy to award Loves Racing a PASSED rating. The ROI was strong at 26% and the light workload makes it an attractive service to be a member of.

The subscription costs are a little on the high side so you will need a decent betting bank (e.g. £1,000 – £2,000) to make it worthwhile but if you have that this looks like a top service to us and well worth adding to your portfolio.

Loves Racing – Results Update

4th September 2019

More profits for Loves Racing over the last month, with another 23 points made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 43 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

The Festival Bets also had an excellent month, with 33 points profit made since our last update and 27 points profit made for our trial overall.

We are starting to see Mr Love live up to the pre-trial billing and produce some strong results which is encouraging. From the detailed write-ups that accompany the tips you certainly get the impression he is a serious professional and the results for our trial are now reflecting that. Let’s hope it continues.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Loves Racing – Results Update

10th August 2019

It’s been a decent month for Loves Racing, with 14 points profit made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 20 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP it hasn’t been quite so good though with 6 points lost since our last update and 6 points lost for our trial overall. That is partly down to one horse however who won but was then subsequently demoted to second, so the bookies would have paid out but Betfair goes with the official result of second place.

There are also festival bets given out by Mr Love and so far those are 12 points down for our trial.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Loves Racing – Results Update

18th July 2019

A bit of a pullback for Loves Racing recently, with 13 points lost since our last update at advised odds.

That means they are now 6 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP they have lost 13 points since our last update, which takes them back to level for the trial overall at BSP.

Let’s hope they can get back on the profit trail and we have more positive news to report in our next update.

Loves Racing – Results Update

10th June 2019

Loves Racing continues to move along steadily, adding another 8 points profit at advised prices since our last update a month ago.

That means he is now 19 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP it has also been a decent month, with another 7 points profit made and 13 points profit made for the trial overall.

As Brett mentioned in his previous e-mail the weather is making things tricky with the changing ground conditions, but he is still making a profit which is good to see so hopefully that will continue even if the weather doesn’t settle down!

Loves Racing – Results Update

4th May 2019

It’s been a decent start to our trial of Loves Racing, with a profit of 11 points made so far to advised prices after one month.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP the results haven’t been quite as good but are also in profit, with 6 points profit made so far.

Brett tends to just tip in the big races and at weekends, so there are quite a few days without any bets. That’s fine though as there tends to be more liquidity and prices hold up better in the big races.

He also tips in the festivals as a separate service and those bets are currently 6 points down for our trial.

Back soon with more updates.

Loves Racing – New Review

29th March 2019

We have a very promising horse racing service called Loves Racing which we are starting a review of today as the flat season is just about to get underway.

The service is provided by a guy called Brett Love who started adult life as a professional footballer but when injury cut that career short Brett turned to pro gambling and more recently tipping to a select group of private clients.

Brett has established quite a reputation for himself and since he went live to paying members in November 2017 the service has apparently recorded a profit of 212.42 points and a 32% ROI.

Darren Power of the Betting Insiders Club said of the service:

“These results are amazing… …if I hadn’t seen the proofing mails come in before racing with my own eyes I’d have thought these were made up results.

I truly believe that these are the best results I’ve ever seen from a tipster.”

That’s quite a statement to make but given the results achieved to date it isn’t actually that outlandish.

The service has just opened to new members today and if you join this weekend (i.e. by 1st April 2019) you will get:

 – A substantial discount on the normal subscription price;
 – Brett’s festival selections, which last year made 115 points of profit at a 41% ROI;
 – And his Rating Selections which produced an additional 138 points profit at a whopping 78% ROI.

So overall that’s 465 points profit across Brett’s various tips over the last 18 months. That would be £4,650 profit to £10 stakes or £11,625 to £25 stakes.

Please note the special discounted prices and extra bonuses are only available until Monday 1st April 2019 however.

We think this is a very promising service so are looking forward to doing a full review of it. As usual we will update results here during the trial so you can see how things are going.

In the meantime you can check out Loves Racing here.

Russell Blair Racing – Full Review

This is the second time we have reviewed Russell Blair Racing, having originally looked at the service back in 2016. It did very well in that original trial, making 214 points profit in three months.

Having kept an eye on the service since that original review, we decided to take another detailed look at its performance three years later, including things like how the prices stood up, the Betfair SP results, bank size needed and so on.

So we have now completed another review – seven months and over 500 bets this time – giving us a very good picture of the service.

We are pleased to say that Russell has performed excellently once again, making over 300 points profit at advised prices at a superb return on investment of 27%. That equates to over £3,000 profit to £10 stakes or £7,500 profit to £25 stakes.

The results represented a 150% growth of the advised betting bank, which really is top quality stuff.

You can see the progress in the profit graph below, with some big movements upwards throughout the trial:

There was also an incredible 180,000/1 accumulator during our trial, which wasn’t an officially recommended bet but anyone who did place it would have been celebrating pretty wildly when it landed!

Even at Betfair SP the results were very good, with 198 points profit made during our trial.

The only thing to be aware of if following Russell’s tips is that with a strike rate of just 9% you do need a good deal of patience to withstand the losing runs that will happen along the way, but those who do have been richly rewarded.

All in all then there isn’t much else to say other than this is definitely a PASSED rating and there is no doubt Russell Blair is one of the best in the business. He joins a very elite band of tipsters who have made 2,000 points profit overall, putting Russell firmly in the pantheon of all-time great tipsters.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are normally sent out the evening before racing usually between 6 and 7pm UK time. With an average of 3 bets per day there is a little bit of work involved in following the service, but not too much by any means.

Availability of prices:   We conducted a study over a week of recording the prices after tips were sent out and the odds held up pretty well for the first half an hour to an hour, with most advised prices being available. However, beyond that prices do tend to get pushed in quite considerably and certainly by the next morning the value will normally be gone. Even at Betfair SP though results held up well, with just under 200 points profit being made during our trial.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was just 9%, so this is clearly a service for the patient gambler as there will be some losing streaks and drawdowns along the way. You need to be prepared for that and not to just give up the first time Russell hits a few losers. Staying patient and disciplined is key and then you can enjoy the winners when they come and the long-term profits he has consistently made.

Advised Betting Bank: A 200 point bank is recommended for following the service which we think is reasonable given the staking and strike rate. However, to be on the safe side we think a 250-300 point bank could be a better option as there was an extended drawdown in 2017 when most of a 200 point would have been lost. At 300 points it just gives you that much more room for manoeuvre.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are very reasonable considering the results achieved, with a free trial for 14 days then £39.99 per month, £99.99 per quarter or £359.99 per year. Certainly we have seen services with results like these charging at least double or even treble these subscription fees.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

There aren’t many tipsters who are even still going three years after we review them, let alone who go on to amass yet more profits and then absolutely smash it during a follow-up review.

Russell Blair Racing has done exactly that however, making over 300 points profit at advised prices during our second trial of his service, at an exceptional ROI of 27% in one of the most successful trials we ever have run here at HBR in over four years of operating this website.

You do need patience if following the service as there will be drawdowns along the way, but if you are prepared for that and set aside an appropriate betting bank then really there aren’t many better tipping services out there, full stop.

If you aren’t already a member then quite simply you should seriously consider adding this to your portfolio and start enjoying the fantastic profits long-term members have been enjoying for a long time now.

Russell Blair Racing – Results Update

1st August 2019

Horse racing tipster Russell Blair Racing has been on scintillating form over the past month, with a stunning 108 points profit made at advised prices since our last update.

That means he is now an amazing 320 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP he has also been doing excellently, with 107 points profit made since our last update and 238 points profit made for our trial overall. It’s great to see a tipster that’s profitable both at advised prices and BSP.

The big story of the month came on the weekend of 20th July, when Russell landed an incredible run that included a nice 14/1 winner on the Friday followed by winners at 33/1, 11/1, 33/1 and 12/1 on the Saturday.

That four-timer had combined odds of 180,000-1, a quite incredible combo!

Now he didn’t advise putting an acca on, but even at singles you would have made 170 points profit on the day at advised prices and 172 points profit at BSP, which is quite outstanding.

Suffice to say this service is heading for a passed rating, with flying colours!

The only thing to note is that Russell tips at high odds, so you will need a decent-sized betting bank and a degree of patience if following the service as there will be some losing runs along the way.

If you have those things though, this looks like one of the very best tipsters we have ever come across.

And the great news is you can get a 14 day free trial of Russell Blair Racing here.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Russell Blair Racing – Results Update

25th June 2019

We said last time that at the odds tipped at it would only take a couple of winners to turn things around for Russell Blair Racing and guess what happened…he only went and landed a load of big-priced winners!

Yes it’s been a rich time to be involved with the service as Russell has racked up 212 points profit at advised prices since our last update.

That means he is now 193 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

It’s been quite a turn around at BSP as well. Last time he was 96 points down at Betfair SP but with 227 points profit made since our last update Russell is now 131 points up at BSP for our trial overall.

So we are starting to see now why this is one of the most highly-regarded tipsters out there – really impressive stuff.

And the good news is they are currently doing a special offer of a 30 day FREE trial – but the offer ends on 30th June so don’t miss out.

Russell Blair Racing – Results Update

14th May 2019

Unfortunately it’s been a little bit of a tricky time for legendary tipster Russell Blair Racing, with 16 points lost at advised prices since our last update.

That means he is now 19 points down at advised prices for our re-review overall.

You can view full results here.

The BSP results have had even more of a rough time, with 48 points lost since our last update and 96 points lost overall. Although as stated last time that does include a 34 point difference on Petite Jack who was a winner with the bookies but lost on Betfair.

Anyway, at the odds tipped at it would only take a few winners to really turn the results around so let’s hope he can land a few soon.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Russell Blair Racing – Results Update

2nd April 2019

It’s been a quiet start to our re-review of Russell Blair Racing, with a loss of 3 points so far at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

The picture is a bit more complicated at Betfair SP as one of the selections – Petite Jack at Lingfield on 23rd Feb – was first past the post so was a winner with the bookies, but was subsequently penalised into second, so was a loser on Betfair.

So the BSP results so far don’t look good with a loss of 48 points for our re-review, but that’s including a 34 point difference on Petite Jack. Without that the BSP results would only be 14 points down.

Anyway, that’s just one of those things you can’t really legislate for but is a reason why sometimes backing with the bookies is a preferable option.

Russell Blair Racing – Re-Review

14th February 2019

About three years ago we reviewed prominent horse racing tipster Russell Blair and he performed excellently during our trial, making 214 points profit to advised prices.

It is quite unusual for a tipster to still be going three years after our original review, let alone to continue producing consistent profit.

Russell has defied the odds and continued to do so however and has established one of the most formidable records in the tipping world as a result, with over 1600 points profit made since 2015.

That would be over £16,000 profit to just £10 stakes and has been achieved with a return on investment of over 30%, which is almost unheard of over such a long period of time.

So with such a strong record having been established, we thought it was time we took another at Russell’s tips and updated our original findings.  Of particular interest will be how obtainable prices are and how the Betfair SP results stack up against the advised prices.

Hopefully he can repeat the performance of our original review and prices will be obtainable, because if so then this would deserve a place right towards the top of our tipster rankings.

With UK racing back on after the brief hiatus for equine flu and Cheltenham just around the corner it is a good time to jump back on board.

So we will run our re-review here and will update results periodically during the trial.

In the meantime you can check out Russell Blair Racing for yourself here.

Russell Blair Racing – Final Review

22nd May 2016

Our three month trial of Russell Blair Racing has now been completed and here are the final results:

Profit/loss:    +214 points
Strike Rate:    16%
Bank Growth:    143%
Cost:   £24.95/month, £59.95/quarter or £199.95/year
ROI:   50%
Average number of tips:    3 per day

Russell Blair Racing – Full Review

Coming into our trial, horse racing tipster Russel Blair had made over 650 points profit in just ten months of tipping, a quite amazing total in such a short space of time.

So we were very interested to commence a trial of his tips.

Often when tipsters come under the spotlight of a live trial however, things take a turn for the worst and they cannot match previous results.

Gladly this has not been the case with Russell Blair Racing who has had a cracking trial, racking up 214 points profit at advised prices and 121 points profit at Betfair SP.

This has come at a return on investment of 50%, which is exceptionally high and is a remarkable achievement over a three month period.

As you can see from the graph below, profits were built steadily over the trial:

Russell Blair Racing Profit Graph

Russell takes a nice straightforward approach to tipping and he gives thorough analysis to accompany his tips, which is always to good to see.

The only slight cause of concern is the difference between the results at advised prices and those at Betfair SP, with the latter being almost 100 points lower than the former over the trial.

It became clear to us over the trial that you need to place your bets as soon as possible after they are sent out and to have a good number of bookie accounts to get the most out of the service.

As long as these criteria are not a problem for you, then Russell Blair Racing comes highly recommended and would be a very worthy addition to your betting portfolio.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The tips are normally sent out in the early evening the day before racing (17.30 – 18.30 UK time) and you need to act fast to take advantage of the early prices. There are on average 3 tips per day, including often an each-way trixie, so there is a little bit of work to do but it is certainly not too bad.

Availability of prices: As mentioned above, the huge difference between results at advised prices and Betfair SP is an indication of the need to get your bets on asap after tips are sent out – if possible within an hour. Waiting until the next day to get your bets will mean missing a lot of the value. And you will need a good range of bookie accounts too.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 16%, which means a degree of patience will be needed to follow the service and there is the possibility of some drawdowns along the way.

Advised Betting Bank: A 100 point betting bank is advised by Russell, but we used a 150 point bank to be on the safe side given the strike rate is a little lower than some other horse racing services we follow.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs for a service of this quality are very reasonable at £24.95/month, £59.95/quarter or £199.95/year

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

It’s been a cracking trial for Russell Blair Racing, a horse racing tipster who began his career on Twitter but now has his own website and provides tips by e-mail.

Profits of 214 points at advised prices at a return of investment of 50% is excellent stuff and one of the best trials we have had in quite a while here at Honest Betting Reviews.

The only thing to be aware of is that prices often decrease substantially between the time they are sent out in the evening before racing and the off, so you need to get bets on as soon as possible and to have a range of bookie accounts if you want to get close to matching the published results.

The website service has only been going for around a year, so doesn’t have quite the long-term established record of some of the other services we have approved.

However,  if Russell can continue the form he has shown so far, he may well go on to establish himself as one of the very best and most highly regarded horse racing tipsters in the business.

We will watch his results closely and update things periodically with how he is getting on.

In the meantime we are happy to give Russell Blair Racing an approved rating and would definitely recommend it as part of your betting portfolio.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Russell Blair Racing – Results Update

2nd May 2016

There has been a small downturn for Russell Blair Racing, with 5 points dropped since our last update.

However, things have still been going excellently overall during the trial, with 149 points of profit made so far at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

A huge gap has opened up however between the results at advised prices and Betfair SP, with the latter now being 52 points up, nearly 100 points less than the advised prices.

So it appears this service may not be practical to follow at Betfair SP, or at least results will be significantly lower.

Having monitored prices closely, it now seems clear that you need to get bets on within an hour of tips being sent out to really get the value with Russell Blair.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Russell Blair Racing – Results Update

18th April 2016

Things have continued in positive fashion for Russell Blair Racing, with a further 41 points profit added at advised prices and 38 points profit at Betfair SP.

That means Russell is now 154 points in profit for the trial at advised prices and 86 points in profit at Betfair SP.

You can view full results here.

Very impressive stuff so far.

The only thing to note in the results is that we didn’t include the results for the Dubai World Cup, as those were sent out on 8th February, before we had joined the service and when Russell sent out a reminder the day before the races, he said not to back the tips at the current prices.

But if you had done, we understand you would have lost about 10 points.

As we said last time, there is a big difference between the results at advised prices and Betfair SP, so you really need to get on the selections as quickly as possible after bets are sent out.

As long as you can do that, then this is looking like a very promising service.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Russell Blair Racing – Results Update

17th March 2016

It has been an excellent start to our trial of Russell Blair Racing, a horse racing tipster who has built quite a following for himself on Twitter.

So far Russell is 113 points in profit at advised prices and 48 points in profit at Betfair SP.

You can view full results here.

There is quite a big difference between the advised prices and Betair SP results so far which is a slight cause for concern, so we will keep a close eye on the availability of prices and see how much pressure they come under.

Russell often tips three tips per day and then combines them in a trixie bet, which has worked well so far as he has managed to hit two out of three legs of the trixie on numerous occasions.

If he manages to hit all three legs of the trixie, then we could really be talking a big win because these are often in the hundreds – or even thousands – to one.

Anyway, a nice positive start for Russell Blair Racing and we will keep you posted on how things go for the remainder of the trial.

Russell Blair Racing – New Review

8th February 2016

Today we are commencing a trial of a horse racing tipster who has built up quite a reputation in a relatively short space of time.

The tipster in question is called Russell Blair (no relation of Tony as far as I am aware) and he has amassed over 650 points profit since starting tipping in April 2015.

That equates to 65 points profit per month, or £650 per month to just £10 stakes.

Only one month out of 10 so far has been a losing one, and even then that was only a 7 point loss where as some of his winning months have been well over and 50 points profit and one even over 100.

Before that he tipped on Twitter and apparently had a very successful record on there and won three tipping competitions.

So it is with much anticipation that we commence this trial of Russell’s tips and are very much hoping he can continue his past record.

The tips are available for a very reasonable £14.95 per month, £39.95 per quarter or £149.95 per year.

So let’s strap ourselves in and see how things go.

Back soon with results updates.

Rugby Trading Webinars – Full Review

We have been following the Rugby Trading Webinars provided by pro rugby trader Phil since last November’s Autumn Internationals so we thought it was time to wrap up our review. Plus the service has been put on hold for the moment – but more on that below.

Basically the webinars show you live screen shots of the bookies’ websites and Phil gives out live bets to be placed at the bookies and explains the reasoning behind them as the game unfolds.

The strategy works very well in and of itself and produced an excellent profit of 136 points during our trial. In addition, Phil’s pre-match and pre-tournament tips for the Six Nations made 26 points profit, which was a nice bonus.

However, in terms of practicality there were some issues with following the live webinars and we know from the feedback we received that some of you found the service difficult to follow.

In the first instance it does require bookie accounts – in particular Bet365 and Betfair Sportsbook, with William Hill and Coral also helpful but not essential.

And secondly the speed with which the trades need to be executed made it very difficult in some instances to get the advised bets on.

We found that even with the best will in the world we weren’t able to get some of the advised trades on in time, which inevitably meant getting a different result to the official one.

Over the long-term the missed trades should even themselves out, with the odd winning one you miss being cancelled out by the odd losing one you miss, but at the same time in an ideal world you should be able to match all the trades a service advises.

These issues with practicality were reflected in the fact that by the end of the Six Nations only a handful of people were still joining the webinars. This has led the team behind the webinars to reconsider whether the service is viable in the long run.

They are looking at the potential of trading via Betfair – possibly using automated software – so if that works it could be a very positive development.

For the time being though it looks like the service will be put on hold.

So in summary whilst we award this a PASSED rating given the results achieved and Phil’s undoubted skills as a trader, it is a question of waiting to see how and if this service is taken forward in future.

We will update any further news on that here.

Rugby Trading Webinars – Results Update

14th February 2019

The Rugby Trading Webinars continue to deliver superb profits, with another 68 points profit made since our last update a month ago.

That means the webinars have now made 149 points profit for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

In addition to the live trading webinars, head trader Phil has also been providing betting tips for the Six Nations. Those tips have made 21 points profit so far (you can see the results in the second tab of our results spreadsheet).

And his outright tips for the tournament are also looking very good, particularly England to win the Six Nations and to be the top try-scorers, so it appears more profits are coming from those as well.

All in all they are well on their way to smashing through the 100 points profit target for the Six Nations.

And the good news is you can still get a £1 trial for the Six Nations so you don’t keep missing all this profit. There are two packages available, so even if you aren’t able to join the live webinars you can still get the betting tips.

You can check out the £1 trial for the Six Nations here.

Rugby Trading Webinars – £1 Trial Offer

1st February 2019

We mentioned earlier in the week about the Six Nations Package where they are targeting 100 points profit on the tournament.

We’re pleased to say they are now offering a special trial for just £1, so you can “try before you buy” the full package. They are also now offering their full tournament guide for FREE.

And remember if you haven’t made a profit by the end of the tournament, they will refund your money in full.

The action kicks off tonight with the first live webinar, France v Wales at 7.45pm, so don’t miss out.

You can check out the £1 trial for the Six Nations here.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Just a quick shout-out that the Rugby Trading Service is now launching a Six Nations Special where they are targeting 100 points profit for the tournament – which would be £1,000 profit to just £10 stakes.

Given they have made 98 points profit in just 10 webinars whilst we have been following them, this seems very achievable.

They are even offering a money back guarantee whereby if they don’t make a profit during the tournament they will refund your subscription in full.

There are two packages available for the Six Nations, one that includes all of the following for £120 (spread out over two payments of £60):-

  • – Full Tournament Guide
  • – 10 LIVE Trading Webinars
  • – Tipping Service
  • – Individual Team Reviews
  • – Predicted Finishing Positions
  • – Weekly Match Previews and Predictions
  • – Trading Strategy Overview
  • – Members Support Chat Room
  • – FAQ & Betting Guide

And one that includes the Tournament Guide, match previews and tipping service for £60.

As we have said in the review below, we think this is one of the best trading services we have come across in some time and the strategy behind it is very clever.

Also a reminder that you will need bookie accounts to operate the trading strategy – in particular Bet 365 and Betfair Sportsbook (Coral and William Hill also helpful) – this does NOT work on the exchanges.

So if you would like to make some profit from the Six Nations then don’t miss this – places for the trading webinars will be limited.

You can check out the Six Nations Package in full here.

Rugby Trading Webinars – Results Update

16th January 2019

The profits have continued to roll in for the Rugby Trading Webinars we have been following with professional trader Phil, with another 59 points profit made since our last update.

That means they are now 81 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

As mentioned previously, you will need bookie accounts to follow the trades as the strategy does not work on Betfair due to liquidity issues and some of the markets not being available. In particular you will need Bet365 and Betfair Sportsbook for the majority of the bets, with Coral and William Hill being used occasionally too.

The trading schedule has been low volume so far, with nearly a month break for Christmas, but should be ramping up now with the Six Nations coming up.

The service is currently by invite only as they do not have a website, so if you are interested in following the webinars then please send us an e-mail at info@honestbettingreviews.com

Rugby Trading Webinars – Results Update

30th November 2018

It has been a good start to our trial of the Rugby Trading Webinars, with a profit of 22 points made after one month.

You can view full results here.

This is a new innovation – for us anyway – whereby you can follow along with a professional trader on a live webinar and copy his advised trades.

It is a fast and furious style of trading and you need your finger on the button to execute trades quickly, but we can see from the webinars we have viewed that the strategy he uses is effective and it has made a decent profit so far.

The trading schedule has been quite light recently due to the Autumn Internationals but is expected to pick up now that we are returning to domestic action.

The next webinar is this evening at 19.30 (UK time) featuring Harlequins vs Exeter, so please send us an e-mail at info@honestbettingreviews.com if you would like to join this webinar – or be added to the list for future ones.

It is by invite only on a first-come-first-served basis and places are filling up fast, so don’t miss out if you want to see how a professional trader operates.

Rugby Trading Webinars – New Review

14th November 2018

It is amazing how these things go – just a few days ago we were starting our first ever review of a rugby betting service and commenting how surprising it was that there aren’t more around.

Well wouldn’t you know it – here we are with another one just a few days later!

Yes today we are starting our second-ever review of a rugby service, but this one is a little different.

It is a trading service and comes from a guy called Phil who is a professional rugby trader and has done very well over the years, apparently making a significant amount of money trading on the game.

The service is provided by way of webinars, whereby you watch Phil’s screen and listen to his analysis and place the trades he recommends as the game unfolds.

We have already listened in on three of the webinars and have been very impressed.

When you have looked at hundreds of betting and trading systems over the years as we have, you can judge pretty quickly if something is genuine and can actually make money or is just a fly-by-night scheme.

And we can tell that this one is the real deal. Phil’s knowledge of rugby really is very in-depth and he has an excellent reading of the game.

Of the three webinars we’ve seen, Phil has been very close to landing some big profits and has been very unlucky with some last minute decisions going the wrong way – many people would say unfairly!

We could see this one being a long-term winner though and delivering substantial profit over time. The way Phil offsets different handicaps against one another is a very clever strategy and you can see during the webinars how effective it can be.

So having taken an initial look at the service and having been impressed, we decided to do a full review here and record all our live trading results from the webinars.

In the meantime though if you are interested in seeing it for yourself, the good news is that they are offering the next webinar completely free so you can test it out for yourself and see Phil in action.

Here are the details of the webinar:

  • – Match: Scotland vs South Africa
  • – Webinar Date/Time: 17 Nov, 2018 @ 17:05 GMT

This is strictly by invitation only and spots are expected to fill up quickly, but we have managed to secure access on a first-come first-served basis for Honest Betting Reviews visitors.

So if you would like to join the webinar, please just drop us an e-mail at info@honestbettingreviews.com expressing your interest and we will send you the details of the webinar.

One thing to note is that you do need bookie accounts to be able to follow Phil’s trades, so having one or more of the following is essential really:

  • – Bet 365
  • – Coral
  • – Betfair Sportsbook
  • – William Hill

With Bet 365 being the main one.

It should be a good game and you will get to trade alongside a professional trader like Phil which is an informative experience in itself, so please get in touch if you are interested.

Hope to see you there on Saturday!

Football Advisor Lays – Final Review

We have reached the end of our seven month trial of Football Advisor Lays and here are the final results:-

Profit/Loss:   +37 points
Strike Rate:   79%
Bank Growth:   23%
ROI:   7%
Average number of bets:   1.5 per day
Cost:   £50/month, £125/quarter or £400/year
VERDICT:   PASSED
Rating:

You can view full results here. (please note there are two tabs on the results spreadsheet, Lay Wins and Lay Draws).

Football Advisor Lays – Full Review

This is a re-review of Football Advisor Lays for us, having previously reviewed the service back in 2017 when we gave it a neutral rating after it finished with a profit of 7 points.

This time round we gave it an extended seven month review to really give the service a proper look.

At the end of that extended trial we have finished with a profit of 23 points, which is decent going.

However, it is worth bearing in mind that the total of 23 points combines the results from both the lay wins and the draw lays.

Taking them separately, the lay wins made a profit of 37 points where as the draw lays made a loss of 14 points

So really it looks like the lay wins are the ones to focus on – and they were the original offering of the service after all so perhaps that’s not surprising. And in fact they have recently “retired” the draw lays so in fact it is now just the win lays being provided.

Combining the results of the lay wins this time with those of last time gives a combined total of 44 points profit, which is pretty good going when you consider you are laying at 1 point level stakes.

The strike rate for our trial was high at just under 80% and the ROI respectable too at 7%.

So in view of all that we think the service warrants a PASSED rating, particularly if you just focus on the win lays.

They have shown consistency over a lengthy period of time and that is what we look for when judging a service. Making a profit through laying is notoriously difficult so we are always impressed when a service manages it.

The added bonus with Football Advisor Lays is that you can place all the bets on Betfair and don’t need to rely on bookie accounts.

All in all then it is a service well worth considering adding to your portfolio.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: A very simple service to use and that is certainly a plus point. There is an average of just one bet per day, although this tends to work out as having lots of bets at weekends and then some weekdays and international breaks with none. Tips are normally sent out early in the morning (UK time) and you will need access to an exchange (e.g. Betfair, Smarkets) to place the lay bets.

Availability of prices: Most of the time the liquidity held up well, certainly in the big leagues like the Premiership and La Liga etc, although sometimes prices do get pushed in on the smaller leagues.

Strike rate: The strike rate during the trial was 79%, which is good but actually lower than the historical average for the service which stands at 86% according to their results.

Advised Betting Bank: An 80-100 point bank is advised for following the service, which should be more than sufficient to cover losing runs. The longest draw-down to date has been 21 points.

Subscription costs: The costs are £50 per month, £125 per quarter, £225 for 6 months or £400/year.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

This is a re-review of Football Advisor Lays after having reviewed it last year and we are pleased to report that after a second look we are upgrading this from a neutral to a PASSED rating.

With a combined profit of 44 points across our two reviews when betting on the win lays only, this has established a strong record over a lengthy period of time and clearly has an edge on the markets when it comes to laying.

So if this isn’t already part of your portfolio then you may well want to consider adding it at the earliest opportunity.

Football Advisor Lays – Results Update

6th October 2018

No change for Football Advisor Lays since our last update, with no points won or lost over the last month.

That means they are still 12 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

[Please note there are two tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet for their two separate systems – the win lays and draw lays].

The broad numbers don’t tell the full story however, as the win lays are 22 points up for our trial, whilst the draw lays are actually 11 points down.

Just a reminder that this is a laying system where you place the bets on Betfair (or your exchange of choice). There is no trading needed – just place the lays and then leave them.

Anyway, let’s hope for some upward progress by the time of our next update.

Football Advisor Lays – Results Update

3rd September 2018

More progress has been made by Football Advisor Lays since our last update, with another 5 points profit made over the last month.

That means they are now 12 points up for the trial overall.

You can view full results here.

[Please note there are two tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet for their two separate systems – the win lays and draw lays].

The broad numbers don’t tell the full story however, as the win lays are 27 points up for our trial, whilst the draw lays are actually 15 points down.

So it’s looking like the win lays are the ones to follow based on the results of our trial to date, but we will obviously keep a close eye on things to see if that remains to be the case.

Football Advisor Lays – Results Update

25th July 2018

It’s been a good run for Football Advisor Lays since our last update, with 8 points profit made over the last month.

That means they are now 7 points up for the trial overall.

You can view full results here.

[Please note there are two tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet for win lays and draw lays – although the draw lays appear to have been paused for the moment].

It’s nice when you get runs like this in lay betting, with 12 of the last 13 selections successful since our last update, so the profit builds nicely.

Let’s see if that continues once the football season kicks off again in a couple of weeks.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Football Advisor Lays – Results Update

28th June 2018

A small decline for Football Advisor Lays since our last update, with 7 points lost over the last month.

That means they are now 1 point down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

[Please note there are two tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet for win lays and draw lays – although the draw lays appear to have been paused for the moment].

There have been a few selections for the World Cup but it has been a bit of minefield for punters with so many surprising results so far.

Anyway, let’s hope Football Advisor Lays can back to winning ways by the time of our next update.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Football Advisor Lays – Results Update

25th May 2018

It’s been a good start to our (re-)review of Football Advisor Lays, with 6 points profit made so far after around 3 weeks.

You can view full results here.

However, that doesn’t tell the whole story as there are two sets of lays – win lays and draw lays (which you can view via the two tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet) and the former have done very well, with 13 points won, whilst the latter have lost 7 points.

That is in tune with the longer-term trend as well, with the win lays having made 282 points profit, whilst the draw lays are much newer and have made just 9 points profit overall.

So it looks like the win lays are the ones to concentrate on here.

Anyway, with the season over it is going to be a little quiet now until the World Cup starts when we should see plenty more action.

Football Advisor Lays – Re-Review

8th May 2018

Following on from launching our review of FA Racing Lays last week, today we are turning our attention to another Football Advisor service.

This is one we actually reviewed last year and gave a neutral rating to after it finished our trial with a profit of 7 points.

However, given that we will now be taking a look at all the Football Advisor services, we thought it would only be fair to take a look at this one again too.

Plus when we did our original review last year, they apparently had an issue with the ratings they use and that negatively affected the results during our trial.

So we are happy to take another look at this one and to do a re-review of the service.

Just to recap, these are lay bets on football matches (both in the win market and draw market) across various leagues.

You just need to lay the bets on Betfair (or your exchange or choice) and that is it, you are done.

The results for the service look excellent, with over 50 points profit made since our trial ended in October and 283 points profit made overall since the service started.

That has come with a strike rate of over 84%, so a very high proportion of successful lays.

We are looking forward to trialling this one and to seeing how it gets on. As usual results will be recorded here for you to check.

In the meantime you can check out Football Advisor Lays here.

Football Advisor Lays – Final Review

18th October 2017

We have completed our three month trial of Football Advisor Lays and here are the final results:-

Profit/Loss:    +7 points
Strike Rate:   75%
Bank Growth:     9%
ROI:   1.7%
Average number of bets:    1 per day
Cost:   £47/month, £112/quarter or £188/6 months
VERDICT:   NEUTRAL
Rating:

You can view full results here.

Football Advisor Lays – Full Review

We originally reviewed Football Advisor’s main backing service back in September last year and gave it a neutral rating after it ended our trial with 8 points of profit.

Now we have just finished trialing their football lays service and we feel like we are repeating ourselves somewhat, but the results have been remarkably similar.

After a three month trial we have finished with 7 points of profit, which again isn’t bad by any means and we are happy to finish any trial in profit to be honest.

The strike rate was a healthy 75%, so the vast majority of lays are successful.

The return on investment (ROI) was a little on the low side at 1.7%. Although you expect ROI to be much lower with laying services than backing ones, we would still like to have seen that ROI a little higher.

The bets are straightforward lay bets in the match odds market and come in a variety of leagues across the world.

So for example you will get an e-mail like this:-

Lays
Bristol Rovers at 4.30 with Betfair (League One / Portsmouth)

It is then very simply a case of placing a lay bet at your exchange of choice and then you are done.

Looking at how the trial progressed, it started off well before hitting a very sticky patch in the middle. Apparently they had a technical issue with the ELO ratings meaning they were producing the wrong selections for a part of August.

Once they revised their selection process it certainly seemed to pay off, with a run of 20 straight successful lays at the end.

As you can see from the graph below, it was a roller-coaster ride!

Football Advisor Lays Profit Graph

In total we ended up with bank growth of 9% by the conclusion of the trial, which is a respectable total.

But it didn’t quite hit the heights necessary to warrant an approved rating, so for the time being we feel a NEUTRAL rating is fair for Football Advisor Lays.

Strike rate: The strike rate during the trial was 75%, which is good but actually lower than the historical average for the service which stands at 86% according to their results.

Advised Betting Bank: An 80-100 point bank is advised for following the service, which should be more than sufficient to cover losing runs. The longest draw-down to date has been 21 points.

Subscription costs: The costs are £47 per month, £112 per quarter or £188 for 6 months, which if the pre-trial results were repeated would be a fair cost.

OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL

We tend to like services that are simple to follow and don’t rely on complex methodologies, ratcheted staking systems or wild hype to justify their existence, so we were looking forward to trialing Football Advisor Lays, which provides simple lay bets in the match odds market.

It is a very simple service to follow and the results prior to our trial looked mighty impressive.

In the trial itself, a profit of 7 points was made, which isn’t bad at all but we feel wasn’t quite high enough to warrant an approved rating, so we are giving it a NEUTRAL rating at this stage.

Given that our trial started in the Summer months when there are less fixtures and taking into account the way things picked up towards the end with a 20-match winning streak and the pre-trial results, this is a service we would like to keep an eye on as to whether it warrants an upgrade.

Football Advisor Lays – Results Update

14th September 2017

A little bit of a bounce back for Football Advisor Lays after something of a nightmare run last time.

Since our last update at the end of August, they have added three points of profit. That means we are now 12 points down for the trial overall.

You can view full results here.

It could have actually been much better as they were on a run of 10 winners in a row before they just hit a couple of losers at 5.2 and 4.6.

After the bad spell at the end of August, they had a look at their selection process and concluded:

“The custom team ratings that we use as part of our multi layered selection criteria is a bespoke adaption of the ELO rating model. Regretfully there were some issues with combining the end of season rating with the new season rating, which resulted in what we saw for the last two weeks.

The good news though is that we are confident that we have now fixed this and we have run 100’s of simulations to test this to be sure.”

Results seem to be trending in the right direction, so let’s hope they have sorted things!

Back soon with more updates.

Football Advisor Lays – Results Update

31st August 2017

It’s been a tough run lately for Football Advisor Lays, which have lost 19 points since our last update.

That means they are now 15 points down for the trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Jon who runs the service has apologised for the recent run, which is appreciated as a subscriber – certainly lots of tipsters don’t even bother saying sorry for a poor run. He is also taking a few days off to review the recent results and see where things have gone wrong.

Hopefully he will find the solution and be back on form shortly.

Football Advisor Lays – Results Update

5th August 2017

It’s been a solid start to our trial of Football Advisor Lays, which is 4 points up so after one month.

You can view full results here.

This is a service that advises lays in the match odds market on Betfair. Odds can be quite high, up to 9.0 so far, meaning a decent sized bank is required when following the service.

It has been fairly quiet thus far in terms of bets as we have been in the off season, but with the season getting underway now we should volume pick up.

Football Advisor Lays – New Review

3rd July 2017

They say one good turn deserves another. So after recently launching a trial of a Football Advisor service (their racing one), we decided we would start another trial.

This time it is a football one and is actually a laying service – Football Advisor Lays.

It is relatively new, having launched in November 2016 but has established a very favourable record since then.

They capped their initial membership at 50 and over 90% of those original members are apparently still with the 7 months on and for good reason;

– 226 bets since November 2016
– 191 winners at a strike rate of 84.5%
– Average lay odds of 5.3
– 38.95 units profit after commission
– Largest drawdown of 23.35 units
– A record busting 35 winning lay bets in a row

The full 2016/17 season brought in 64.19 units at a similar performance level. Since 2013, their approach has apparently made over 211 units profit.

Now it isn’t a normal time to be starting a trial of a football system with it being the middle of Summer, but the service still has a good number of bets on the Summer leagues and we are only just over a month away from the start of the full season anyway.

We are yet to find too many good laying services, but this one looks interesting so well worth running a review of in our opinion.

We will follow the bets for three months (or until we reach at least 100 bets) and will update results here regularly during the trial.

In the meantime you can check out Football Advisor Lays here.

The Strict Rule System – Final Review

We have reached the end of our three month trial of The Strict Rule System and here are the final results:-

Profit/Loss:   +161 points
Strike Rate:   32%
Bank Growth:   32%
ROI:   21%
Average number of bets:   One per day
Cost:   €25/week, €47/month or €109/quarter
VERDICT:   PASSED

The Strict Rule System – Full Review

The Strict Rule System is a tipster from the respected Tipstrr platform of betting systems and tipsters.

The name is suggestive of a systems-based approach but this is in fact more of a straightforward tipping service. The idea of “strict rules” is more that they will only back a horse if it meets the strict rules they set to qualify for a bet, but that comes after form study which is the bedrock of the approach. So the rules keep them disciplined and sticking to clear criteria.

The results during our three month trial were very good, with a profit of 161 points made to advised prices.

The Betfair SP results ended up pretty close to the advised prices, with a profit of 147 points made.

It should be noted that the average stake during our trial was 7 points per bet, meaning that to 1 point stakes the profit would have been approximately 23 points profit.

That is still pretty decent however and came at a very respectable return on investment of 21% and strike rate of 32% (including placed horses).

Below you can see the results for the trial in graph format:

As you can see, although there were a few ups and downs it made a solid profit overall.

It’s a pretty simple service to follow, with an average of just one bet per day – although as with most horse racing services that tends to mean more on weekends and less earlier in the week.

Overall then we are pleased to award The Strict Rule System a PASSED rating after a successful three month trial.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use:  A pretty simple service to follow with an average of around one bet per day, normally sent out late at night for the next day’s racing.

Availability of prices: There was not much of a problem in getting the advised prices and the Betfair SP results ended up pretty similar to the advised price results, with just 14 points difference between them.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 32% (including placed horses), which is a pretty good level to have maintained.

Advised Betting Bank: A 500 point betting bank is advised for following the service, which we think could be a little on the low side given that there has been a month with a loss of 165 points in the past. With staking at 7 points per bet on average, we would think a 700 point bank would be more suitable here.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs are €25/week, €47/month or €109/quarter.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

With a solid profit of 161 points made during our trial at a return on investment of over 20%, The Strict Rule System has proved its mettle and earned a PASSED rating from us.

It’s a nice simple service to follow and with a good strike rate of over 30%, there is a good deal to like about the service.

This is one we will be keeping an eye on for the long run to see if it can maintain a strong body of results.

The Strict Rule System – Results Update

16th October 2018

The Strict Rule System continues to perform excellently, racking up another 71 points profit at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 148 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

The results at Betfair SP having been holding up well against the advised prices, with 53 points profit made since our last update and 137 points profit made overall.

Just another reminder that the staking here is quite high with an average of 7 points per bet, meaning that they would be approximately 21 points up at one point level stakes. But that is still very good and has been achieved very steadily over our trial.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

The Strict Rule System – Results Update

21st September 2018

Horse racing tipster The Strict Rule System has been on good form since our last update just over a month ago, with 76 points profit made at advised prices in that time.

That means they are now 77 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP they are actually doing slightly better, with 96 points profit made since our last update and 84 points profit made for the trial overall.

As we mentioned last time, the staking is between 4 and 10 points per bet, with the average being 7 points, so that is worth bearing in mind when looking at the results.

Still, good stuff from them and let’s hope for more of the same going forward.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

The Strict Rule System – Results Update

12th August 2018

It’s been an up and down start to our trial of horse racing service The Strict Rule System, which went into big profit early on but has since fallen back to be just 1 point up so far at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

At Betfair SP it is actually in deficit for our trial, with 12 points lost so far.

The staking system utilises staking between 6 and 10 points placed on each selection, so that is worth bearing in mind when looking at the results (please note this update previously had Tipstrr’s staking which is unit based on £/€/$ etc so that was not the staking system used by the service itself, which as we say is 6-10 points).

Most of the bets come in Irish racing which is unusual but nice to have a bit of variety as most of the services we follow concentrate on UK racing.

So things pretty much even here so far but early days and plenty of time to get moving in the right direction again.

The Strict Rule System – New Review

24th July 2018

Today we are going to take a look at a new tipster from the reputable Tipstrr platform and this one is called the Strict Rule System.

It is a horse racing service and although we don’t get details of what the rules behind the system actually are, apparently it is run by a guy called Edward, whose trialled and tested horse racing system has become a staple of the Tipstrr platform.

Edward likes to prioritise helping members improve their level of knowledge with regards to horse racing and giving them all the tools they need to win.

The system appears to work very well, with close to 1800 points profit made since the service started around a year ago.

That has been made with a return on investment of over 17% which is pretty decent and the strike rate is over 32%, which is fairly solid.

There is certainly something to be said for strategies that follow clear rules as it takes out the element of human emotion and bias that can affect the objectivity of some gamblers.

Whether it ends up making profit under live trial conditions remains to be seen but we will find out soon enough.

So we will kick off a standard three month trial and will report back soon on how things are going.

In the meantime you can check out the Strict Rule System here.

Exponential Bet – One Year Update

It’s been a year since we started following Exponential Bet so we thought it would be a good time for an update on how they have been doing.

We completed our original review back in February and awarded them a PASSED rating after they finished with a profit of 33 points at the end of our three month trial.

So how have they have been doing since our review ended?

Well, they have added quite a lot of new features and betting strategies since then – but more on that below. We will concentrate on their original “Dutch Betting” as that was what our original review was based on.

Just as a reminder, their Dutch Betting strategy is basically a system where you are backing multiple horses in the same race, either in singles or multiples. It is a very high strike rate service and only takes a couple of minutes per day to place the bets.

In terms of results, the Dutch Betting has continued to perform very well, with the bank for the Dutch multiple bets having increased from £1200 to £1400 since our review ended, with an amazing 95% strike rate. Their Value Dutch Bets and Singles are also showing a profit, which is good to see.

So overall this is doing exactly what it says on the tin and continuing to slowly and steadily build a bank with very little downside and a minimal amount of work involved.

We are happy therefore to maintain our PASSED rating for Exponential Bet’s Dutch Betting systems and feel that this is a service well worth checking out.

As we mentioned earlier though, they have added quite a few new betting systems since our original review ended and these look very interesting.

Their in-play betting system, for example, has made over £620 profit from just £10 bets with a 56% strike rate since starting up in March. Although still in beta version this looks very promising indeed and we will be starting a review of it shortly, so watch out for that.

They also have football betting, betting bots and a Betfair Trading Guide all of which are showing a profit so far, so we hope to take a look at those in due course too.

In the meantime it’s a firm thumbs up for Exponential Bet and we continue to be impressed by the profitability and level of service they provide.

Exponential Bet – Full Review

Exponential Bet is a suite of various betting systems for horse racing and football.

The service is run by a guy called Ryan who has been a professional gambler for a number of years and he developed these systems after rigorous testing.

The idea of all the systems – as the name of the website suggests – is to grow a betting bank exponentially over time by using progressive staking.

Of course a staking system is only any use if the selections themselves are actually profitable – if they aren’t then no staking system can turn a losing approach into a winning one.

But if the selections are profitable then using a progressive approach, where you bet a percentage of your bank each time, can grow your bank dramatically over time.

For the purposes of this review, we were just looking at their horse racing dutching systems.

In essence with these systems you are betting on a number of different horses in the same race at combined odds which are very low, often 1.1 – 1.2.

So it is a little bit like laying the outsiders, but with better liquidity and not needing to lay at crazy odds of 100+ which you need a lot of funds to do.

So how did the laying systems get on in our trial?

Well are pleased to say they did very well, churning out a solid 33 points of profit overall during our three month review.

All of the four systems ended in profit which was good to see and the strike rate was extremely good at 93%.

The service utilises an unusual method of betting that involves using the BSP multiples service, which is on the old Betfair interface. It can take a little getting used to but there are instructions on the Exponential Bet website.

One of the problems with using BSP multiples is that it doesn’t record your bet results in your Betfair bet history, so it can be a little more work than usual keeping track of your results.

But Ryan updates you daily by e-mail so that helps with things.

One point to bear in mind is that if you are following all four of the dutching systems then you will need four separate betting banks, so make sure you have enough funds available to do that.

Overall though we were impressed by the service and can see that over time the banks could really grow.

We are happy to give this a PASSED rating based on our three month trial and will keep an eye on things to see if the banks do continue growing over time.

Ease of use: As we say, placing the bets takes a little bit of getting used to but once you have got the hang of things it shouldn’t take too long each day to place the bets. The selections are usually sent out late morning and then you just go to the BSP multiples page and it takes a few minutes normally to place the bets.

Availability of prices: As you are using the Betfair SPs, there is no issue with getting the prices as everyone will of course get the same prices.

Strike rate: The strike rate during the trial was 93%,  which is excellent and means losing runs should be minimal with this service.

Advised Betting Bank: Different banks are advised for each service, but normally you are betting between 5% and 10% of your bank each time.

Subscription costs: The subscription costs for the four dutching systems (including the new Super Dutch system) are £29.99 per month, £148.99 for 6 months or £268.99 per year.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

Exponential Bet’s Dutching Systems take an unusual approach to betting, but in a way we like that.  It is tough to make a profit these days if you are just using age-old form reading, so we tend to favour approaches that take a different angle.

The results during our trial were solid, with 33 points profit made with a very high strike rate of 93%.

We can see that if those results were maintained in the long run, you could really build a bank in an exponential fashion like the service aims for.

So it is a PASSED rating from us and one we will keep monitoring to see if they can indeed continue to build those banks.

Exponential Bet – Results Update

4th January 2018

Exponential Bet continues to make steady progress, adding another 6 points of profit since our last update.

That means we are now 16 points up for the trial overall across all the different dutching systems.

You can view full results here.

Please note at the bottom of the results spreadsheet you can see tabs for each of the dutching systems – D1, D2, D3, D4 Multiples and D4 Singles.

Good to see things moving along nicely here and if that continues then stakes will steadily build and the bank will grow towards some exponential returns.

Exponential Bet – Results Update

7th December 2017

Things have continued on steadily for Exponential Bet, which is what it is all about really.

Since our last update we have made another 6 points profit across all the systems, meaning we are now 10 points up in total.

You can view full results here.

Please note at the bottom of the results spreadsheet you can see tabs for each of the dutching systems – D1, D2, D3 and D4 Multiples.

It takes a little bit of getting used to in terms of placing the bets and tracking results but we think we have the hang of it now.

Good to see the positive progress here and let’s hope it continues long term.

Exponential Bet – Results Update

18th November 2017

It’s been a little bit of a quiet start to our trial of Exponential Bet, although we are in profit so far.

We have been following the tips since 1st November and across all the horse racing dutching systems, we are 4 points in profit so far.

You can view full results here.

Please note at the bottom of the results spreadsheet you can see tabs for each of the dutching systems – D1, D2, D3 and D4 Multiples.

The idea behind Exponential Bet is to place dutch bets so that you are covering multiple eventualities in the same race.

Plus you are using progressive staking, so you are using a fixed percentage of your bank (e.g. 10%) on each bet to hopefully grow your bank over time more quickly than if you were using fixed staking. If things go really well then the banks should grow exponentially – hence the name of the service.

It uses an unusual method of betting that involves the BSP multiples service, which is on the old Betfair interface.

One of the problems with that is that it doesn’t record your bet results in your Betfair bet history, so it can be a little more hard work keeping track of your results.

Anyway, a solid start from Exponential Bet and hopefully the bank growth will continue.

Exponential Bet – New Review

29th October 2017

Here at Honest Betting Reviews we are always on the lookout for new and innovative approaches to betting.

Let’s face it, in this information age we live in, if you just go through old-school form reading to try and pick your bets, you are probably going to struggle.

You need to try and find some kind of new angle, a different approach to those being used by the vast majority of punters.

So when we were approached by a chap called Ryan lately about his new betting strategy, it piqued our interest.

Ryan runs the Exponential Bet website and his specialist approach to betting is to concentrate on growing a betting bank exponentially by using an incremental staking system.

Whilst the focus is on protecting the betting bank, the goal is to start with an initial betting investment and grow it into a substantial sum.

The staking system is built in to the betting systems themselves. This means that growing each betting bank is made as simple as possible for members of Exponential Bet.

Ryan uses his own betting and trading strategies as the basis for the service. These are the same strategies that he has developed over a number of years as a professional gambler to make a substantial income for himself.

He began developing his betting seriously back in 2009 and ran a betting website previously. In mid- last year Ryan decided to introduce his exponential betting systems, and added a PDF ebook to ebay to test the water. Surprised at the take up of the product he then launched the Exponential Bet website last November, only recently adding a subscription service.

The results published on the website look highly impressive, with one of the systems showing a 296% bank growth in 2 months and another showing a 617% bank growth in 8 months.

Those results have been achieved with a very high strike rate that allows the bank to increase significantly on long winning runs.

There are three different strategies on the website for members to potentially get involved in. They are:

  • – Pre-Race Trading (horse racing)
  • – Dutch Betting (horse racing)
  • – Football Betting tips

In case you aren’t aware, there is a full guide to what dutching is here, but basically it is where you back multiple selections in the same race or event. This gives you a greater chance of finding the winner but obviously also reduces your potential profits. In essence it is about reducing the margin for error.

This looks like a really interesting approach to betting and we are looking forward to seeing how it gets on during our review.

Our trial will commence on Tuesday 31st October and will run for three months as standard.

We will update results here regularly so you can see how things are going.

In the meantime you can check out Exponential Bet here.

Premier Greyhound Tips – Three Year Update

It is now close to three years since we started following Premier Greyhound Tips and we thought it was high time for an update on how things have been going as this has been somewhat of a neglected service.

Originally we awarded this a neutral rating after it made a profit of 31 points during our three month trial, but since our original review it has done extremely well and notched up some impressive profits.

Since our original review – two and a half years ago – Premier Greyhound Tips has gone on to make an additional 300 points profit and has done so in a very consistent fashion.

Of the 31 months since our trial ended, 21 have been profitable, so approximately two thirds, which is very good going over such a long period.

That has been achieved with a healthy return on investment of over 12% and a solid win rate of over 25%.

It’s quite a simple service to follow with just 2-3 bets per day and you can even place the bets at Betfair SP if you like.

Amazingly though, even with results like those the service only costs £10 per month to join (after a 10 day trial for £1).

That makes it one of the cheapest tipsters we have come across and certainly you won’t find many cheaper with results as good as those.

So all in all we are pleased to upgrade Premier Greyhound Tips to a PASSED rating after almost three years of proofing the tips.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

This is well worth adding to your portfolio and at just £10 per month is a bit of a steal to be honest.

You can check out Premier Greyhound Tips here.

Premier Greyhound Tips – Full Review

So our first trial of a greyhound tipster here at Honest Betting Reviews has come to an end.

How did it get on?

Well like all Betting Gods services, it is very efficiently run with an e-mail each day containing the tips with full explanations for the selections and complete results are published on their website.

We can verify that all those results are accurate for our trial period.

So what is our overall view of the service following our trial?

Well, much like our review of All Weather Profits, this has been quite a difficult service to evaluate.

Whilst on the face of it, profits of 31 points during the trial is a good effort, at the same time that figure is based on average stakes of 2.4 per selection, which actually equates to just 13 points profit to 1 point level stakes.

So after three months of tips, we have the equivalent of 13 points profit at a return on investment of just 6%.

For us that isn’t quite high enough to give this a recommended rating based on the results achieved during our trial.

As you can see from the profit graph for the trial, it was a bit topsy-turvy to say the least!

Premier Greyhound Tips Profit Graph

Although they got off to a bad start going nearly 40 points down early on, they did well to recover to over 30 points up in the end.

The bank growth was just 20% based on a 150 point bank, which again is a bit below what we would normally expect for a passed verdict to be awarded.

Having said that, we were probably quite unlucky with the timing of our trial as it coincided with the worst month the service has had since it started and is one of only two losing months in 16 so far.

So we will certainly be continuing to follow this service and see if they can maintain the consistency achieved over the last year and a half or so.

Advised Prices vs Betfair SP

One issue to be aware of if you are thinking of signing up to Premier Greyhound Tips is that the service does not appear to be profitable to follow at Betfair SP.

Whilst they achieved 31 points profit at advised prices during our trial, the tips actually made a loss of 42 points at Betfair SP.

This is a big difference and as we say, probably means it is not practical to follow at Betfair SP.

So we looked at how obtainable the advised prices are given that Betfair SP is not really an option here.

We recorded the results during January (barring a couple of days we missed) and as you can see, the prices were generally very much available an hour after the tips were sent out.

You can view full results here.

Basically whilst the advised prices had average odds of 4.59 over the whole of January, an hour after the tips were sent, the best prices available had average odds of 4.54.

So there was very little difference in the prices and you should be able to just about match the published results.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: There are about 2 bets per day on average, making this a low workload service to follow.

Availability of prices: Generally good – see info above. The only thing to be careful of is that the tips are sent out at various  different times of day, so if you are limited in when you can access the bookies’ websites, this may affect things for you. However, generally there is not huge downward pressure on the prices so you should still be able to get the advised prices in the majority of cases.

Strike rate: The strike rate for the trial was 26%, which is just a tiny bit behind the long-term average of 27%.

Advised Betting Bank: There was no betting bank advised, so with average stakes of 2.4 per bet and a long term strike rate of 27%, we felt a 150 point bank was warranted, which was comfortable and seemed to be the right level for this service.

Subscription costs: As with all Betting Gods’ services, there is a great opportunity to trial the service first, with a 14 day trial followed by just £1 for the first month.

After that the subscription costs are £39.95/per month; £99.95/quarter or £229.95 for life.

OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL

We feel like we were a bit unlucky with the timing of the trial as we hit at its worst run so far.

However, we can only judge a service on what it achieves whilst we are proofing it and during our trial this didn’t quite do well enough to justify a recommended rating.

Growth of 20% in the bank and 31 points profit are solid results, but just slightly below what is required for an approved rating.

Other services like Master Racing Tipster and Racing Gold achieved well over 100% bank growth during their trials, so the standard has been set high in that respect.

We will keep following Premier Greyhound Tips and see if in the longer term they can match the achievements of those services.

For the time being though, it is a neutral rating for the first greyhound tipster reviewed here at Honest Betting Reviews.

Premier Greyhound Tips – Results Update

23rd December 2015

Quite a big disparity has opened up for Premier Greyhound Tips between their results at advised prices and results at Betfair SP.

At advised prices, they have made some progress since our last update, making 10 points profit in the last six weeks, taking them to +7 points for the trial overall.

However, at Betfair SP they have lost 40 points, putting them on -56 points for the trial.

You can view full results here.

On that basis our conclusion would be that this service is not profitable to follow at Betfair SP, as a 63 point difference is far too much to make it practical.

So we will focus more closely now on the availability of the advised prices and whether we can match those prices.

Back soon with more updates.

Premier Greyhound Tips – Results Update

11th November 2015

It has been a bit of a slow start to our trial of Premier Greyhound Tips, the first greyhound tipster we have reviewed here at Honest Betting Reviews.

So far they are 3 points down at advised prices and 16 points down at Betfair SP.

You can view full results here.

So already a bit of gap opening up between the advised prices and Betfair SP, that is something we will have to keep an eye on, together with the availability of the advised prices.

Still very early days for this one with only a couple of weeks gone so plenty of time for things to pick up and keep up the impressive form shown before our trial started.

Back soon with more results updates.

Premier Greyhound Tips – New Review

25th October 2015

It is something totally new for us today – the first greyhound tipster we have trialed here at Honest Betting Reviews.

When I think of greyhound racing it conjures up memories of cold winter evenings at Wimbledon dog track during my generally misspent youth. Normally the night would end with us all losing money and cursing how the sport was “bent” or “crooked” – unwilling to acknowledge that we were just not very good at reading the form.

Since those days I have tended to stay away betting on this particular variety of four-legged creatures.

However, we are not ones to turn a blind eye to money making opportunities when they arise and a greyhound tipster of note has recently come to our attention.

The tipster in question is Premier Greyhound Tips from the Betting Gods stable.

Betting Gods Premier Greyhound Tips

Since the service started tipping a year ago they have amassed 274 points profit at a 13% return on investment.

That has come at a healthy 28% strike rate and using just £10 per point averages out at £211 profit per month.

The last few months have been particularly impressive, with the following totals accumulated using just £10 stakes:

October : £381.30 profit

September : £193.10 profit
August : £10 profit
July : £168.80 profit
June : £197.30 profit
May : £335.30 profit

So hopefully they can keen up those kind of results during our trial and beyond.

We will run a three month trial as usual and record the results here on the website.

In the meantime you can check out Premier Greyhound Tips here.
