Cotsworld Racing – Full Review

Cotswold Racing is a horse racing tipster covering UK and Irish racing, from the Tipsters Empire stable of tipping experts.

The tipster himself comes from the Cotsworlds near Cheltenham (hence the name) and grew up with horse racing.

He says he uses “a selection of databases and information sources that are helping me to find even more winners and gain even better results. The key is not to get overwhelmed with it all, find the sources that work for you and be diligent.

“When punting I tend to shy away from the obvious and am always on the look out for value, often recommending a horse that will be a lot shorter than its early price.”

That strategy appears to have set him in good stead, with very substantial profits made coming into our trial and a formidable reputation.

So how did it go in the live trial?

Well we followed the tips for a period of nine months, which gave us a decent sample size of over 540 bets.

It took things quite a while to get going and we were slightly in deficit for a fair part of the trial.

However, this was one of those instances where patience was rewarded, as the service eventually came good and got the trial into profit.

In the end they finished 36 points up at advised prices, which was a solid return.

That was achieved with a return on investment (ROI) of 6% and strike rate of 32% (including placed horses).

Here you can see how things really came good towards the end of our trial after a bit of a struggle through the middle part:

The service didn’t perform quite so well at Betfair SP however, with a loss of 31 points made at BSP for our trial.

Overall then it was a solid, if unspectacular, trial.

A profit is still a profit and is not to be sniffed at so we award Cotswold Racing a narrow PASSED rating at the end of our nine month review.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The selections are sent out by e-mail, either in the evening before racing or at around 9am on the morning of racing. Either way there is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 2 bets per day on average the workload is very manageable.

Availability of prices: There was a little bit of pressure on prices as this is a popular service and it is able to identify value and the beat the SP quite frequently, so it is advisable to get your bets on as soon as possible after bets are sent out. A wide spread of bookie accounts is also recommended for following the service.

Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was good at 32% (including placed horses) so there was a reasonably steady rate of returns throughout the trial.

Advised Betting Bank: A 150 point bank is recommended for following the service which seems reasonable to us and was more than enough to cope with the ups and downs during our trial.

Subscription costs: The current subscription costs at the time of writing are £45 per month, £120 per quarter, £200 for 6 months or £350 per year.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

Cotswold Racing is a horse racing tipster covering UK and Irish racing and produced a solid, if unspectacular, 36 points profit during our nine month trial.

It was a decent enough profit to warrant a narrow PASSED rating from us and given the results posted prior to our trial, it is a service to keep an eye on for the long term.

Cotswold Racing – Results Update

20th April 2023

A slight step backwards for of horse racing tipster Cotswold Racing lately, with a loss of 8 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 6 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

The results at Betfair SP continue to lag those at advised prices, with a loss of 24 points made since our last update and 37 points lost for our trial overall at BSP.

Partly that is due to an each-way double which was advised across two weekends, with one of the legs being punted down from an advised price of 7.0 to a BSP of 2.95 (please note that the BSP price of the each-way double is estimated based on the BSP win prices).

It is also down to the fact – as mentioned before with other horse racing services – that when tipping each-way bets with extra places at the bookies, quite a few of these will finish fifth and sixth etc and produce returns with the bookmakers but be losing bets on Betfair.

The third factor is simply horses being backed and their prices at BSP being lower than the advised prices.

Although the BSP results have struggled a little in our trial so far, as noted in our previous update it is actually the case that since the service began, the BSP results have outperformed those at advised prices, so it may just be a temporary phenomenon that they have lagged a little so far in our trial.

Cotswold Racing – Results Update

27th February 2023

It’s been a good start to our trial of horse racing tipster Cotswold Racing, with a profit of 14 points made so far to advised prices.

You can view full results here.

The results at Betfair SP are lagging somewhat however, with a loss of 13 points made for our trial so far.

Partly that is due to an each-way double which was advised across two weekends, with one of the legs being punted down from an advised price of 7.0 to a BSP of 2.95 (please note that the BSP price of the each-way double is estimated based on the BSP win prices).

Anyway, we will have to see more results to see how the BSP results hold up over the long term. It is worth noting that since the service began, the BSP results have actually outperformed those at advised prices, so it may just be a temporary phenomenon that they have lagged a little so far in our trial.

Cotswold Racing – New Review

9th January 2023

We are starting a new review today of a horse racing service called Cotswold Racing.

This is a very prominent tipster from the Tipsters Empire stable who has built up a very respected reputation as one of the best tipsters out there over the last couple of years.

That approach appears to have served him very well, with a profit of 430 points made since starting up in 2020.

That has been achieved with a solid strike rate of 31% and a good return on investment of 15%

What is perhaps even more impressive though is the return achieved at Betfair SP, which is even better than the results at advised prices, with 555 points profit made at a return on investment of 19%

That means it could perhaps be the “holy grail” of horse racing – a service that is profitable to follow at BSP over the long term.

Looking at the profit graph from the last couple of years is something to behold and the kind of smooth upward progress most tipsters can only dream of:

So it’s with great anticipation that we get this trial of one of the most promising tipsters we’ve come across in some time underway. As ever, results will be updated here as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out Cotswold Racing for yourself here.

King of the Picks – Full Review

King of the Picks is a horse racing tipping service for UK and Irish racing.

The service is run by a chap called called Hugh Doyle. That name may sound familiar to our regular visitors – well Hugh is actually the brother of the man behind the Bet Alchemist, Nicky Doyle.

The Bet Alchemist is a service we’ve previously reviewed here and given a positive rating to and is one of our top recommended horse racing tipsters.  So horse racing tipping seems to run in the family!

Hugh started his King of the Picks service during covid when unfortunately he lost his job. He had been a successful punter for a while on a part-time basis so after losing his job decided to start betting full-time to try and make a proper go of it.

It might sound like a risky move but Hugh had the results to back it up, which coming into our trial looked very good.

The bets are a mixture of win and each-way and are mainly focused on the weekends and big festivals.

We ended up running an extensive 20-month trial in the end which gave us a very good sample size of over 1200 bets.

At the end of this extended trial, Hugh finished with a commendable 100 points profit at advised prices.

It’s always nice to see a service break through the 100-point barrier over the course of a trial, which is no mean feat – although this one did take a little longer than most trials we run here.

Still, 100 points profit is a very good mark to hit and it was achieved with a strike rate of 35% (including placed horses) and a return on investment (ROI) of 4%

Things started off very well before tailing off towards the middle, but really picked up again over the second half of the trial to finish strongly in profit:

Encouragingly for those whose bookie accounts have been restricted, the service also made a very healthy 72 points profit at Betfair SP.

All in all then a solid effort by King of the Picks and we are happy to award the service a PASSED rating.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The selections are sent out by e-mail, either in the evening before racing or more often at around 10am on the day racing. Either way there is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 2 bets per day on average the workload is very manageable.

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice a huge impact on prices so you should be able to get close to the recorded results without too much problem.

Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was good at 35% (including placed horses) so there was a reasonably steady rate of returns throughout the trial.

Advised Betting Bank: A 200 point bank is recommended for following the service which seems reasonable to us and was more than enough to cope with an extended drawdown in the first half of our trial.

Subscription costs: The current subscription costs at the time of writing are £29 per month, £79 per quarter, £150 for 6 months or £259 per year.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

After an extended 20 month trial, horse racing tipster King of the Picks delivered a commendable 100 points profit at advised prices.

The results were solid rather than spectacular, with bank growth of 50% over the course of the trial.

With a good profit made however and strong results over the second half of our trial in particular, including at Betfair SP, we are happy to award this service a PASSED rating.

King of the Picks – New Review

4th February 2022

When covid hit it affected us all in different ways. It was a tough time for everyone and for Hugh Doyle, sadly it meant he lost his job.

Having been betting on the horses for decades though and achieving good returns, he decided to turn his attention to betting full-time in November 2020.

His results since then have been quite remarkable and Hugh is probably glad he did back himself to bet on the gee-gees full time! He has now launched his tipping service to share his tips with the public and it’s called King of the Picks.

With over 200 points profit made at a 15% ROI according to his website he’s been doing very well.

The name Hugh Doyle may sound familiar – well he is actually the brother of the Bet Alchemist, Nicky Doyle. That’s a service we’ve previously reviewed and given a positive rating to. It has continued to perform well since our review ended. So Hugh comes from good betting stock anyway!

The bets are a mixture of win and each-way and are mainly focused on the weekends and big festivals. So it should be quite straightforward to follow and generally you could better liquidity on those races so prices hold up better.

So all in all looks pretty good and as a special offer Hugh is offering a FREE month’s trial to test the service out.

Anyway, we will kick things off today and hopefully Hugh can continue his form during our review and beyond. All results will be recorded here as we go along as usual.

In the meantime you can check out King of the Picks for yourself here.

Winner Spreads – Final Update

We began this review back in July but after a few weeks stopped receiving tips.

We have been chasing the tipster but have not received any response to our e-mails nor any tips for quite some time now.

So we can only presume the service has been discontinued and will call time on this review.

A shame as the previous service had been pretty good but for one reason or another the tipster wasn’t able to continue the service.

So it’s a FAILED/DEFUNCT rating here and we will move on to the next one…

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Winner Spreads – New Review

10th July 2023

We are starting a new trial today of a service called Winner Spreads.

This is actually a follow-up to a service we reviewed a few years ago, Sports Spread Betting

It was a service run by a guy called Max and focused on spread betting, which is quite a niche these days compared to the more ubiquitous fixed odds betting.

The service made an excellent 751 points profit in our trial, with a 51% strike rate and 75% bank growth.

It continued on for a couple of years after our trial ended, performing very well overall and delivering healthy profits.

However, at the beginning of 2020 Max had to discontinue the service due to time constraints and work pressure.

Now though he is back in business, having brought the service back to life at the beginning of this year and things have been going well (485 points profit Jan-Jun 2023).

He says his database of stats has improved massively he is very confident of long-term consistent profits.

Max says the same money-back guarantee that he used to have will be provided for any month that doesn’t clear 25 points of profit.

A variety of sports are used including football, horse racing and tennis. There are generally 1-2 bets per day making it pretty simple to follow.

You will of course need a spread betting account to place the bets. We would recommend Sporting Index who have some excellent opening offers and generally good spreads across their markets.

So we will kick this review off today and will record results here as we go along as usual so you can see how the service is getting on.

In the meantime you can check out Winner Spreads for yourself here.

The Haymaker – Full Review

The Haymaker is a horse racing tipster and it comes from the Back Lucrative stable. It is the first time they have ever provided the services of an external tipster rather than producing their own tips.

The results coming into our trial were so good according to Back Lucrative that they were blown away and felt they had to launch the service to the public.

That was quite a claim and certainly piqued our interest for the trial.

Essentially it is a straightforward tipping service with a combination of win bets, plus some place bets and some insurebets.

We hadn’t actually come across a tipster using insurebet before, but basically it means your bet wins if the selection wins, however if it places you get your full stake back.

The slight wrinkle with using insurebet is that there’s isn’t an exchange equivalent, so that precluded the chance to proof this service at Betfair SP.

In any event, we were able to proof the service at advised prices and followed the tips for just under a year, giving a good sample size of 533 bets.

Tips are provided by logging into a website only and are not sent by e-mail, Telegram or any other means.

Unfortunately it was a case of the “curse of the triallist” with this one as once our trial got underway things really nosedived, going over 50 points down early on.

Slowly and surely they fought their way back however, managing to claw things back and end the trial 19 points in profit

That come at a strike rate of 38% and a return on investment of 1%

That was a good effort and as we often say here, any sort of profit is not to be sneezed at.

At the same time though, just 19 points profit for nearly a year’s worth of tipping and over 500 bets isn’t quite what members would be looking for, particularly once subscription costs are taken into account.

So in the end we think a NEUTRAL rating is fair for The Haymaker. A solid effort to fight back after a tough start but not quite enough to generate a passed rating.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The selections are found by logging into the Back Lucrative website and are usually posted early in the morning on the day of racing.  With around 2 bets per day on average it is fairly straightforward to follow.

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice a huge impact on prices so you should be able to get close to the recorded results without too much problem. As mentioned above though, certain bets aren’t available on exchanges so you will need bookie accounts to follow the advised bets fully.

Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was okay at 38% but would probably need to be a little higher to generate a consistent profit.

Advised Betting Bank: We used a 100 point bank for the purposes of our review which did become a little threatened when things went badly early on, so a 150-200 point bank might be more appropriate for following the service.

Subscription costs: The current subscription costs at the time of writing are free for the first 7 days then £39 per month or £99 per quarter.

OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL

The Haymaker is a horse racing service from the Back Lucrative stable. It is the first external tipster they have ever offered on their platform.

Our trial got off to a slow start, going over 50 points down early on but they battled back to finish 19 points up

Although a valiant effort, it wasn’t quite enough to merit a passed rating for a year’s worth of betting and over 500 bets, so this service is awarded a NEUTRAL rating from us.

The Haymaker – New Review

2nd September 2022

We are starting a new trial today of a horse racing service called The Haymaker.

This comes from the Back Lucrative stable and is the first time they have ever provided the services of an external tipster rather than producing their own tips.

They say they have been proofing this tipster for over two years, which is a very good proofing period, and were blown away by the results.

With 934 points profit made so far at a strike rate of 52% and an ROI of 35%, we’re not surprised they have been blown away to be honest!

That ts a pretty amazing combination of stats, particularly to have such a high strike rate (over half the bets being winners) whilst still having such an impressive ROI.

We have rarely seen figures like those in all our years of testing tipsters and betting systems, so it will be interesting to see if those can be maintained during our trial (and beyond).

It’s slightly different to services we have reviewed before as the bets are a mixture of straightforward win bets, plus some place bets and some insurebets.

We haven’t actually come across a tipster using insurebet before, but basically it means your bet wins if the selection wins, however if it places you get your full stake back.

The slight wrinkle with using insurebet is that there’s isn’t an exchange equivalent, so Michael recommends just betting those to win on the exchange if you aren’t able to access bookmakers anymore.

In any event, it does look like a very promising service and there’s been quite a bit of buzz around its release.

As ever we will reserve judgement until we’ve seen how it performs under a live trial, but fingers crossed it can continue producing the kind of results seen over the last two years.

Results will be updated here as we go along as usual so you can see how it is getting on.

In the meantime you can check out The Haymaker for yourself here.

Betting Mastermind (Football) – Final Review

We have reached the end of our nine month trial of Betting Mastermind (Football) and here are the final results:-

Profit/Loss:   +14 points profit
Strike Rate:   35%
Bank Growth:   +7%
ROI:   1%
Average number of bets:   6 bets per day
Cost:  £29.99 per month
VERDICT:   NEUTRAL
Rating:

You can view full results here.

Betting Mastermind – Full Review

Betting Mastermind (Football) is a suite of football betting systems across a range of markets.

It should not be confused with Mike Cruickshank’s matched betting suite of the same name, which was released a couple of years ago and is completely separate. To differentiate the two we refer to this service as Betting Mastermind (Football).

Anyway, Betting Mastermind (Football) is a group of football betting strategies, which at the start of our trial consisted of:

  • Back the draw
  • Lay the draw
  • Back the home win
  • Back the away win
  • Back over 0.5 first half goals

During the course of our review, the lay the draw strategy was dropped. We were also not able to proof the first half goals system which often has low liquidity so prices needed to be verified at kick-off time (with some matches kicking off late at night and early morning when we were not available).

Anyway, all four strategies are included within the monthly subscription price if you do wish to follow them all.

We followed the service for 9 months which gave us nearly a full season of tips and provided over 1700 bets, a very good sample size.

Bets can be placed on Betfair which is good for those whose bookie accounts have been restricted and results are recorded according to the Betfair prices. All bets are simple win bets with no trading required.

At the end of our review, the results of the systems were as follows:-

  • Back the draw: -2 points
  • Lay the draw: -33 points (discontinued in January)
  • Back the home win: +36 points
  • Back the away win: +13 points

TOTAL: +14 points

So a solid effort there but given it was over the course of nine months and over 1700 bets, the returns were a little on the low side.

The return on investment was also low at just 1% and the bank growth only 7%.

Whilst we always a profit is a profit and shouldn’t be sniffed at, ultimately if you take the overall returns and cost of subscription, it just doesn’t quite warrant a passed rating from us.

So we award Betting Mastermind a NEUTRAL rating at the end of our trial. If you are going to follow the service, it looks like the back the home win and back the away win are the two strategies to concentrate on.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The selections are sent out by e-mail, at different times of day depending on when the matches are. Either way there is plenty of time to get the bets on. With around 6 bets per day on average there is a bit of work involved in following the service, although as mentioned earlier all bets can be placed on Betfair which makes things easier.

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice a huge impact on prices so you should be able to get close to the recorded results without too much problem.

Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was okay at 35% but would probably need to be a little higher to generate a consistent profit.

Advised Betting Bank: We could not see a recommended bank for following the service but used a 200 point bank for the purposes of our review which was never in jeopardy.

Subscription costs: The current subscription costs at the time of writing are £29.99 per month.

OVERALL VERDICT: NEUTRAL

Betting Mastermind (Football) is a suite of football betting systems covering a range of different markets.

We conducted a nine-month trial of the service and at the end of our review, they made a solid profit of 14 points

Whilst that was a respectable result, based on a low ROI of 1% and bank growth of just 7%, it wasn’t quite enough to merit a passed rating so it’s a NEUTRAL rating from us for this service.

Betting Mastermind – Results Update

16th April 2023

It’s been a good time lately for football service Betting Mastermind, with a profit of 40 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 73 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

That is made up of the following results across their three systems:

  • Back the Draw: +7 points
  • Back the Home Win: +41 points
  • Back the Away Win: +25 points
  • Lay the Draw: discontinued

You can view full results here.

As mentioned previously there are a huge number of selections for this service, so you may wish to follow just one or two of the systems rather than all of them (also a note that we are no longer including the FHG bets in our results as they turned out quite difficult to proof on prices).

The Lay the Draw selections had been really struggling and were over 40 points down for our trial, so were discontinued on 18th March so that some time can be taken to review it and put it to use in a better way.

Betting Mastermind – Results Update

10th February 2023

It’s been a better month for football service Betting Mastermind, with a profit of 32 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 33 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

That is made up of the following results across their five systems:

  • Back the Draw: +21 points
  • Lay the Draw: -33 points
  • Back the Home Win: +21 points
  • Back the Away Win: +24 points

You can view full results here.

As mentioned previously there are a huge number of selections for this service, so you may wish to follow just one or two of the systems rather than all of them (also a note that we are no longer including the FHG bets in our results as they turned out quite difficult to proof on prices).

Alternatively there is the option of using BF Bot Manager to automate the strategies, with instructions on how to do so included with the service.

Betting Mastermind – Results Update

6th January 2023

There’s been a slight downturn for football service Betting Mastermind lately, with a loss of 19 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now just 1 point up for our trial overall at advised prices.

That is made up of the following results across their five systems:

  • Back the Draw: -3 points
  • Lay the Draw: -22 points
  • Back the Home Win: +23 points
  • Back the Away Win: +3 points
  • Over 0.5 First Half Goals +0.24 points

You can view full results here.

As mentioned previously there are a huge number of selections for this service, so you may wish to follow just one or two of the systems rather than all five.

Alternatively there is the option of using BF Bot Manager to automate the strategies, with instructions on how to do so included with the service.

Either way though has been a steady trial so far at pretty much breakeven so hopefully they can kick on now that we have a full set of football fixtures again.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Betting Mastermind – Results Update

2nd November 2022

It’s been a positive start to our trial of football service Betting Mastermind, with a profit of 20 points made so far to advised prices.

That is made up of the following results across their five systems:

  • Back the Draw: -10 points
  • Lay the Draw: -30 points
  • Back the Home Win: +33 points
  • Back the Away Win: +27 points
  • Over 0.5 First Half Goals +0.3 points

You can view full results here.

Just to note that we have only been able to proof prices for the Back the Draw and Lay the Draw systems in this trial as verifying prices across all the different systems would be a major challenge with a huge number of selections, particular for the first half goals system which often has low liquidity so prices would need to be verified at kick-off time (with some matches kicking off late at night and early morning).

The prices we have been able to proof for the two systems match up pretty closely to the advised prices however, with some a little higher and some a little lower, but overall ending up with very similar results.

A promising start to this trial then, let’s hope it continues.

Betting Mastermind – New Review

26th September 2022

Today we are starting a new trial of a football betting service called Betting Mastermind.

This should not be confused with the Mike Cruickshank matched betting suite of the same name, which was released a couple of years ago and is completely separate. To differentiate the two we are referring to this service as Betting Mastermind (Football).

Anyway, Betting Mastermind (Football) is a group of football betting strategies, consisting of:

  • Back the draw
  • Lay the draw
  • Back the home win
  • Back the away win
  • Back over 0.5 first half goals

All five strategies are included within the monthly subscription price.

Stuart says he has “been working a developing loads of different strategies to not only create consistently logical and profitable betting systems centred around football, but also how I can diversify that betting so that at no point I have all my liquidity and bank at risk on a single market.”

The results to date look very impressive – almost too good to be true to be honest – with 1880 points profit supposedly made to date since 2019.

We very much hope those results are true as it would be great to find another profitable footy tipster with there being so few of them around.

In any event, there is only one way to find out and that is through a live trial so we look forward to kicking this one off (if you’ll excuse the pun) and see if they can reproduce the excellent profits reported on the website.

As usual results will be updated here as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out Betting Mastermind (Football) for yourself here.

The Rolling Aces – Final Review

We have reached the end of our 18 month review of The Rolling Aces and here are the final results:-

Profit/Loss:   +93 points profit
Strike Rate:   61%
Bank Growth:   +62%
ROI:   9%
Average number of bets:   1 bet per day
Cost:  £0.99 for first 10 days then £37/month
VERDICT:   PASSED
Rating:

You can view full results here.

The Rolling Aces – Full Review

The Rolling Aces is a tennis tipster from the Betting Gods stable of tipsters.

This service uses an unusual “rolling accumulator” staking system.

In essence this means they roll on the stakes and profit from the previous bet until a sequence of winners is completed.

It is much like an accumulator but doing it manually because the bets are over a few days.

The aim in each sequence of bets is to turn 1pt into either 10pts or 20pts for each attempt. Normally it takes 4 or 5 winning bets in a row to successfully complete a sequence.

If a sequence is completed – or loses – you go back to the beginning and start with a 1 point stake.

In that sense it is good because you aren’t risking more than one point of your bank for each sequence – that is the most you can lose for each sequence. So it’s not like loss-recovery (aka martingale) in which stakes can become ridiculous quite quickly.

In any event, for the purposes of our review we recorded the results at both the advised staking and 1 point level stakes, to aid comparison and to be sure the tips are profitable in themselves and not just because of the staking system.

The bets come in a variety of markets including match odds, handicaps, over/under games and more. The vast majority of bets are on the main ATP and WTA Tours.

We ran an extended 18 month review which gave us a very good sample size of 409 bets.

At the end of our trial, The Rolling Aces finished with a commendable 93 points profit at their advised rolling staking.

That was achieved with a high strike rate of 61% and a solid return on investment of 9%

At one-point level staking, the returns were a little more modest, with a profit of 11 points made over the course of our trial.

So really it looks like if you are following this service then the rolling staking is the way to go.

As mentioned above, we don’t see this as a problem as it is not loss-recovery staking or really any more risky than one point level staking.

The profits were pretty steady during the trial, as you can see here:

Overall then we are happy to award The Rolling Aces a PASSED rating.

It finished just under the 100 point profit mark which is good going and was solidly in profit for pretty much our entire trial.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The selections are sent out by e-mail, at different times of day depending on when the matches are. Either way there is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 1 bet per day on average the workload is very manageable.

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice a huge impact on prices so you should be able to get close to the recorded results without too much problem.

Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was good at 61% so there was a reasonably steady rate of returns and drawdowns were kept to a minimum.

Advised Betting Bank: A 150 point bank is recommended for following the service which seems reasonable to us and was never in jeopardy during the course of our 18 month trial.

Subscription costs: The current subscription costs at the time of writing are £0.99 for the first ten days then £37 per month.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

It’s been quite a while since we passed a tennis service here at Honest Betting Reviews as good ones are hard to come by.

So we are pleased to see The Rolling Aces come through an extended 18 month trial with a commendable 93 points profit at advised staking.

With decent metrics of a 61% strike rate and 9% ROI, it’s a clear PASSED rating from us for this innovative tennis tipster.

We are also recording results at level stakes for the purpose of comparison and to be sure the tips are profitable in themselves and not just because of the staking system.

Using flat stakes they have made 14 points profit since our last update, meaning they are now 4 points up for our trial overall.

So clearly the advised staking is proving more profitable so far. Although it is unusual staking system it isn’t loss-recovery (Martingale) so isn’t overly risky by any means.

The Rolling Aces – Results Update

13th July 2022

A slight dip again for tennis tipster The Rolling Aces over the last month, with a loss of 5 points made since our last update at advised staking.

That means they are now 31 points up for our trial overall at advised staking.

This service uses an unusual “rolling accumulator” staking system. In essence this means they roll on the stakes and profit from the previous bet until a sequence of winners is completed, or there’s a loser. The aim in each sequence of bets is to turn 1pt into 20pts for each attempt.

Using flat stakes there has been no change since our last update, meaning they are still 10 points down for our trial overall.

So as mentioned last time a bit of a divergence in results depending on which staking system you use, but the rolling staking isn’t a loss recovery system so doesn’t come with inherently more risk —  you are only ever rolling on winnings, not chasing losses.

The Rolling Aces – Results Update

4th April 2022

There’s been something of a setback for tennis tipster The Rolling Aces recently, with a loss of 25 points made since our last update at advised staking.

That means they are now 25 points up for our trial overall at advised staking.

You can view full results here.

This service uses an unusual “rolling accumulator” staking system. In essence this means they roll on the stakes and profit from the previous bet until a sequence of winners is completed. So much like an accumulator but doing it manually because the bets are over a few days. The aim in each sequence of bets is to turn 1pt into 20pts for each attempt. Normally it takes 4 or 5 winning bets in a row to successfully complete.

If a sequence loses you go back to the beginning and start with 1 point staked. In that sense it is good because you aren’t risking more than one point of your stakes for each sequence – that is the most you can lose for each sequence. So it’s not like loss-recovery (aka martingale) in which stakes can become ridiculous quite quickly.

In any event, we are also recording results at level stakes for the purpose of comparison and to be sure the tips are profitable in themselves and not just because of the staking system. They are 3 points down for our trial to date at level stakes.

The Rolling Aces – New Review

25th January 2022

Today we are starting a new trial of a tennis tipster called The Rolling Aces.

Over the years we have come across very few high-quality tennis betting services. In fact to date we only have one approved tennis service – Tennis Goldmine.

Yet tennis is one of the most gambled-on sports in the world and with matches pretty much year-round it does offer lots of opportunities to bet on.

So we are always eager to check out any promising new tennis services and The Rolling Aces looks like it fits the bill.

It’s only been proofing to the Betting Gods site since August last year but has made a profit every month since then, with total profit of over 110 points made so far.

That has been achieved at a massive return on investment (ROI) of 42% and an excellent strike rate of 66%

The bets tend to come in more niche markets like handicaps, number of games, breaks of serve etc.

There is a twist with this service though and that comes with the staking. In essence they roll on the stakes and profit from the previous bet. So much like an accumulator but doing it manually because the bets are over a few days so it wouldn’t be possible to place them in an acca as the odds wouldn’t be available.

It’s a little unusual to be honest and not a staking system we have seen used too often. It’s not inherently risky though because you are starting with one point stakes and only rolling on previous gains, so it’s totally different to loss-recovery staking systems that we are not normally fans of.

As ever though we will see whether it works in practice under a live trial. We started receiving tips on 20th January so will record results from then and will update progress as we go along here.

In the meantime you can check out The Rolling Aces for yourself here.

Lay2Win – Final Update

UPDATE – Please note this service has been discontinued so our review is also terminated.

Although the service had been going along okay and was in profit for our trial, on 25th May a message was sent out via Telegram saying: “Those that have paid this month will be refunded, all payments cancelled, and service terminated. Simply not reached the form he had and doesn’t warrant continuation.”

So another service bites the dust sadly. Been quite a few lately that have been discontinued before our trial has even finished.

Just shows once again how hard the tipping game is and how few actually master it in the long run. Thankfully there are a few that do though!

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Lay2Win – Results Update

20th May 2023

It’s been a mixed month for horse racing service Lay2Win recently, with a loss of 2 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 1 point down for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

However, it’s been a better month at Betfair SP, with a profit of 4 points made since our last update and 16 points profit made for our trial to date at BSP.

So it looks like this service is actually better to follow at BSP than advised prices.

Just a reminder this is a laying service on the horses, normally providing up to one selection per day.

The maximum lay price is 4.0, so taking the BSPs would mean quite a few of the selections have gone over 4.0 by the time of the race and would therefore be no bet.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Lay2Win – Results Update

11th April 2023

It’s been a slightly tricky month for horse racing service Lay2Win recently, with a loss of 3 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now just 1 point up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

The results at Betfair SP continue to outperform those at advised prices, with a profit of 1 point made since our last update and 12 points profit made for our trial to date.

Just a reminder this is a laying service on the horses, normally providing up to one selection per day.

The maximum lay price is 4.0, so taking the BSPs would mean quite a few of the selections have gone to over 4.0 by the time of the race and would therefore be no bet.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Lay2Win – Results Update

8th March 2023

Somewhat of a step backwards for horse racing service Lay2Win recently, with a loss of 7 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 4 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

Lay2Win – Results Update

24th January 2023

The good times roll on for horse racing service Lay2Win, with a profit of 8 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 11 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

The results at Betfair SP continue to slightly outperform those at advised prices, with a profit of 6 points made since our last update and 14 points profit made for our trial to date.

Just a reminder this is a laying service on the horses, normally providing up to one selection per day.

The maximum lay price is 4.0, so taking the BSPs would mean quite a few of the selections have gone to over 4.0 by the time of the race and would therefore be no bet.

There have now been 18 winning lays in a row, which is quite an effort considering the lay prices are under 4.0. Impressive stuff.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Lay2Win – Results Update

17th December 2022

It’s been a good time recently for horse racing service Lay2Win, with a profit of 9 points made to advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 3 points up for our trial overall at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

The results at Betfair SP continue to outperform those at advised prices, with a profit of 6 points made since our last update and 8 points profit made for our trial to date.

The maximum lay price is 4.0, so taking the BSPs would mean quite a few of the selections have gone to over 4.0 by the time of the race and would therefore be no bet.

So there have been fewer selections at BSP but a steadier profit so far.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Lay2Win – Results Update

8th November 2022

It’s been a slow start to our trial of horse racing service Lay2Win, with a loss of 6 points made so far to advised prices.

You can view full results here.

The results at Betfair SP have been quite a bit better however, with a profit of 2 points made for our trial to date.

Just a reminder this is a laying service on the horses, normally providing a maximum of one selection per day.

The maximum lay price is 4.0, so taking the BSPs would mean quite a few of the selections have gone to over 4.0 by the time of the race and would therefore be no bet. One even drifted from a recommended price of 3.95 all the way out to 12.24!

In any event, it’s far too early to draw any conclusions so far on advised prices vs BSP, especially as this is a very low volume service so we have only had 10 bets thus far. Will need to get a good deal more in the bank before we can make any judgements on that.

Lay2Win – New Review

7th October 2022

Sometimes we refer to the “London buses” scenario here at Honest Betting Reviews – you wait ages for one and then two come along at once.

Well that is the case this week for horse racing laying services. We’ve waited a while for any promising ones to review but this week we’ve got two!

First up was The Lay Bet Tipster which we started a review of on Tuesday. And today we have Lay2Win – a horse racing laying service from the Punt Hub tipster platform.

This is a service that has been going since January 2021 and according to the results on its website has amassed an impressive 86 points profit since starting up.

That has come with a very strong strike rate of 84% and an equally impressive return on investment (given the high strike rate) of 15%

Since they started, 16 out of 18 months have been profitable which is the kind of consistency we like to see.

It’s a very selective service with usually just a few bets per week, so the workload looks to be pretty minimal with this one.

The highest odds they lay at is 4.0, so that keeps the liability down on each bet.

It looks quite interesting then and quite similar in terms of results to the Lay Bet Tipster. Which one will come out on top though? We’ll have to wait until the end of the trials to see!

Don’t worry though, you don’t have to wait that long to find out how this one is getting on – we will provide regular updates here as we go along.

In the meantime you can check out Lay2Win for yourself here – and use code HBR at checkout to get the first month for just £10

The Away Days – Final Update

Please note this service has been discontinued so we will be wrapping up our review here.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

The Away Days – Results Update

12th April 2023

Not a great deal of change for footy tipster The Away Days, with 2 points lost at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 10 points up for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder this is a tipster that bets on away teams to win where they see value and the odds are ideally greater than evens (but not always).

It’s been solid rather than spectacular so far but a profit is a profit so is not to be sniffed at.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

The Away Days – Results Update

1st February 2023

It’s been a strong start to our trial of footy tipster The Away Days, with 12 points profit made for our trial to date at advised prices.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder this is a tipster that bets on away teams to win where they see value and the odds are ideally greater than evens (but not always).

It’s pretty simple to follow with just a couple of bets per day on average (although more on weekends), so lots to like about this service so far.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

The Away Days – New Review

3rd January 2023

Today we are starting a new review of a footy betting service called The Away Days.

This is a service from the Tipstrr platform of tipsters and is relatively new on the block but has an interesting approach that offers some promise.

The tips come from a chap called Rob, who says his strategy involves “Betting on away teams to win where I see value and the odds are ideally greater than evens but not always.”

He says he mainly take the bets at the Betfair Exchange although he occasionally uses a bookie.

As we say the results so far look promising with an average profit of £183 per month at a return on investment of over 10%.

The strike rate is good too at 43% meaning a fairly high proportion of winning bets.

Although it’s still early days with this service we are intrigued by the approach of taking away sides when they are favourites, as it’s a trend we’ve noticed ourselves so will be interesting to see if turns out to be profitable.

It’s a relatively low volume service with as there won’t be bets every day, but enough action to keep things ticking over at least.

So without further ado we’ll get our first review of 2023 underway with this footy service and will report back soon on how they are getting on.

In the meantime you can check out The Away Days for yourself here.

BSP Racing Tipster – Final Update

Please note this service has been discontinued due to disappointing results, so our review is terminated at this point.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

BSP Racing Tipster – Results Update

10th April 2023

A step backwards again lately for the BSP Racing Tipster unfortunately, with 14 points lost since our last update.

That means they are now 80 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that this is a service that only recommends bets at Betfair SP, so there are no separate results at BSP.

It shows just how hard it is really to make a profit at Betfair SP and how those who do manage it deserve a lot of praise.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

BSP Racing Tipster – Results Update

4th March 2023

A slight improvement for the BSP Racing Tipster lately, with 9 points profit made since our last update.

However they are still 66 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that this is a service that only recommends bets at Betfair SP, so there are no separate results at BSP.

So a slight improvement here lately but still a long way to go to get back into profit.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

BSP Racing Tipster – Results Update

22nd January 2023

More struggles unfortunately for the BSP Racing Tipster, with another 8 points lost since our last update.

That means they are now 75 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that this is a service that only recommends bets at Betfair SP, so there are no separate results at BSP.

We are not far off the betting bank being blown here so could do with things turning around soon.

BSP Racing Tipster – Results Update

15th December 2022

The tough times continue for the BSP Racing Tipster unfortunately, with another 4 points lost since our last update.

That means they are now 67 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that this is a service that only recommends bets at Betfair SP, so there are no separate results at BSP.

It’s been a rough old trial for this one so far, let’s hope they can turn it around soon.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

BSP Racing Tipster – Results Update

7th November 2022

Things aren’t going to plan for the BSP Racing Tipster unfortunately, with another 29 points lost since our last update.

That means they are now 63 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that this is a service that only recommends bets at Betfair SP, so there are no separate results at BSP.

It’s been a rough old time for this service since our review started. The results looked very promising coming into our trial but sadly it may have hit the curse of the reviewer, as it has only gone one way since. A turnaround is needed quickly.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

BSP Racing Tipster

5th October 2022

A small loss for horse racing service BSP Racing Tipster over the last month, with a loss of 7 points made since our last update.

That means they are now 34 points down for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that this is a service that only recommends bets at Betfair SP, so obviously there are no separate results for this one at BSP.

A slow start to our trial for this service then, let’s see if they can get things moving in the right direction over the next month.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

BSP Racing Tipster

3rd September 2022

It’s not been a great start to our trial of BSP Racing Tipster unfortunately, with a loss of 27 points made to date after just over a month.

You can view full results here.

Just a reminder that this is a service that only recommends bets at Betfair SP, so obviously there are no separate results for this one at BSP.

It’s been a bit disappointing so far as there was a lot of excitement at the launch of the service around the idea of finding a service that’s profitable on Betfair, but it is very early days so far too early to draw any conclusions.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

BSP Racing Tipster

30th July 2022

We are starting a new trial of a racing service called the BSP Racing Tipster.

As you may have guessed from the name, this is a service that tips solely at Betfair SP. That means no worrying about whether you will obtain the advised prices or having bookie accounts restricted etc.

We often refer to it as the “holy grail” of betting to find a tipster that is profitable at BSP. There are a few of them out there thankfully (see our list of top horse racing tipsters here for examples), but very few that are actually built around tipping at BSP.

That is where this tipster comes in and their record to date looks very promising. They have been proofing to Betting Gods for over a year, which is an extensive proofing period, and the total profit made to date stands at just under 200 points

The return on investment has been excellent at over 33% whilst the strike rate is pretty good too, also at 33%

Most of the bets are in the win market but there are a few in the place market as well.

Out of 14 months so far, 13 have been profitable which is very impressive consistency.

There is currently an offer to get the first month for just 99p, but we understand it is due to close very soon.

In any event, we are looking forward to getting this trial underway as it is rare to find an opportunity like this of a tipster that is based around tipping at BSP.

As ever results will be updated here as we go along so you can see how they are getting on.

In the meantime you can check out the BSP Racing Tipster for yourself here.

Strike Rate:   29% (including placed horses)
Bank Growth:   +132%

VERDICT:   PASSED

The Form Guy – Full Review

The Form Guy is a relatively new horse racing service that comes from a chap called Steve who has been both a bookmaker and a punter.

He has been around horse racing since a young age and been studying form ever since, putting in many hours work per week.

He says systems help with the initial shortlisting but it’s form study that whittles down a long list of selections to the very best bets with the highest chance of winning.

We ran an extended 12 month trial of the service, which gave us a good sample size of 778 bets.

The tips come with detailed write-ups and you can see that Steve really studies the form closely when making his picks. It’s also reassuring to know a tipster isn’t just randomly sticking a pin in a piece of paper to come up with their selections!

Clearly all that work is worthwhile because at the end of our review, the Form Guy finished with an excellent profit of 132 points at advised prices.

That was achieved with a solid strike rate of 29% (including placed horses) and a commendable return on investment (ROI) of 15%.

As you can see from the graph below, it was very steady upward progress throughout the trial:

One of the most positive aspects of the service was that it also made strong gains at Betfair SP, with a profit of 82 points made at BSP.

Overall then there really isn’t anything you could fault the service on and an awful lot to like.

After a very successful trial we are pleased to award The Form Guy a PASSED rating and it is a service we will follow with interest.

Service Breakdown

Ease of use: The selections are sent out by e-mail, normally the evening before racing but occasionally in the morning (UK time). Either way there is plenty of time to get the bets on and with around 2 bets per day on average the workload is very manageable.

Availability of prices: We didn’t notice a huge impact on prices, although it is advisable to get the bets on in the evening rather than waiting until the next day. The results at Betfair SP were very good too meaning it’s a viable service for those whose bookie accounts have been restricted.

Strike rate: The strike rate for our trial was good for a horse racing service at 29% so there was a reasonably steady rate of returns and drawdowns were kept to a minimum.

Advised Betting Bank: We didn’t see a recommended betting bank for following the service but would have thought a 100 point bank would be sufficient here.

Subscription costs: The current subscription costs at the time of writing are reasonable given the excellent results achieved, at £7.99 for the first month then £24.98 per month or £179 per year.

OVERALL VERDICT: PASSED

The Form Guy is a horse racing tipster that we ran an extended 12 month review of. At the end of our trial we are pleased to report it made 132 points profit at advised prices, at an ROI of 15%

The other good news is that it was also profitable at Betfair SP, with 82 points profit made at BSP. So it’s a viable option for those with restricted bookie accounts.

All in all a very impressive trial and well worthy of a PASSED rating from us.

The Betfair SP results have picked up somewhat and closed the gap on the advised price results, with 23 points profit made since our last update and 75 points profit made for our trial overall.

One aspect we like about this service is the detailed write-ups that come with the tips. You can see the Form Guy really knows his stuff and puts a lot of work into the selections, which clearly is paying dividends for him – and members of the service.

The Betfair SP results have lagged somewhat behind the results at advised prices but are still impressive, with 3 points lost since our last update but 52 points profit made for our trial overall.

It’s been a very good trial this one so far and always impressive for a service to break through the 100 point profit mark to advised prices.

The Betfair SP results have picked up nicely aswell, with a profit of 62 points made since our last update and 65 points profit made for our trial overall.

*Just a note to say previously we hadn’t included a straight forecast as we weren’t sure if it was an official bet, but having read the email again it looks like it was, and did have the staking attached to it, so we have included that now.

The Form Guy – Results Update

18th August 2022

It’s been a quiet month for horse racing tipster The Form Guy, with a profit of 3 points made at advised prices since our last update.

That means they are now 41 points up at advised prices for our trial overall.

You can view full results here.

The Betfair SP results have fallen quite a bit behind the advised prices, with a loss of 22 points made since our last update and just 3 points profit made for our trial overall.

This difference seems to be a combination of getting value early prices with the bookies (which then reduce in price on Betfair by the time of the race) and the extra places with the bookies.

So at the moment it is looking like you need access to bookie accounts to get the best out of this service.

The Form Guy – New Review

25th February 2022

We are starting a new trial today of a service called The Form Guy.

This is a relatively new service but comes from a chap called Steve who has been both a bookmaker and a punter.

He has been around horse racing since a young age and been studying form ever since, putting in many hours per week.

As it says on the Form Guy website, systems help with the initial shortlisting but it’s form study that whittles down a long list of selections to the very best bets with the highest chance of winning.

Darren Power, who runs the On Course Profits Magazine said:

“We were very impressed with Steve’s performance throughout our tipping competition where he won two of the three monthly prizes and the overall grand prize”

Although this is a relatively new service, results do look promising with 41 points profit made since October last year.

The strike rate has been around the 30% mark and the ROI has been 31% at Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG) and 28% at BSP.

All the selections come with detailed write-ups so you can see that Steve really knows his stuff.

We starting receiving tips on 5th February so will record results from then. Updates will be provided here as we go along as usual.

In the meantime you can check out The Form Guy here.
